First, I have had some really excellent dentists and some not up to my expectations. My longtime college friend, Marla, recommended Life Smiles. First, my adult son went and came back with great comments. Then my husband, who never takes the time to go, but he finally did after my son's prompting. He was very pleased as well. So I just went today. From the new dentist (just out of the Army, bless his heart) to the excellent hygienist, and the wonderful front office staff, this was like coming home to my favorite dentist (now retired.) I think we have found a new dental care home for our family!

This place is awesome! They have such friendly staff. The receptionist, Doctor, and hygienist were all so awesome. I have a bad TMJD and they were so understanding and helpful in accommodating for it. I was in and out and they did a great job working with my schedule. They were all so nice and did a great job answering any of my questions. If you want a dentistry that really cares about their patients then I definitely recommend Life Smiles! I’ve been going to Life Smiles Dental for the past 7 years and have always had a great experience. No one at this office has ever suggested unnecessary dental work be done to me. My regular hygienist Kelli is wonderful! Dr Schmidt and Dr Nielsen have both done great dental work on me. Dr Bishop did the exam after my cleaning today and I look forward to knowing him better, too. Office staff is great and friendly.

I called on a Tuesday with an urgent issue with my front tooth. I was able to be seen Wednesday morning by Dr. Nielson. He was so kind and professional. He took the time to explain what was going on with my tooth and gave me a few treatment options. He answered all of my questions and was able to get me back in that evening to put a temporary crown on and I will go back to him for the permanent one in a few weeks. I am very impressed by his work and his bedside manner. I would recommend him and his office to anyone in need of a dentist! Everyone in the office was warm and welcoming from the moment I walked in the door until the moment I left.

5.0 star rating 8/17/2022 Highly recommend Life Smiles Dental Care to everyone I Just had 2 cavitys filled and completed yesterday morning by Dr Jared Bishop DMD and Myra his amazing dental Assistant , As someone who suffers from severe dental anxiety I can honestly say Dr Jared Bishop DMD and his amazing dental assistant staff Myra have gone above and beyond with making my treatment and dental work at life smiles dental care painless and very comfortable. Dr Bishop is very gentle and has extensive training with treating patients that have severe anxiety and dental anxiety. Dr Bishop made me feel very comfortable at his office yesterday during my 2 cavity fillings appointment and he answered all of my questions and concerns before they started the work and he made sure I was very comfortable and relaxed before they started. They made sure everything would be 100% painless for me during my dental appointment.I didn’t even notice the dental local anesthesia injections that’s how painless it was. They made me feel like family at his dental office and all of his staff were very kind and were very friendly and were very welcoming towards patients who have high levels of dental anxiety. I highly recommend Life Smiles Dental Care to everyone they are the best dentist here in the valley in phoenix will be giving them 5 Star Rating 😃 Also huge shout out to the amazing lovely Dental assistants and Registered Dental Hygienist nurses Olivia and Myra the Dental assistants and Registered dental hygienists are Olivia and Myra are amazing too. Olivia did an amazing job with my dental cleaning she made my teeth perfectly clean and look brand new and she taught me how to take better care of my teeth

Awesome dental office, from the receptionist to the Dr…I saw Dr. Neilson. So friendly, kind, caring, compassionate people throughout! I went in with an issue and never felt uncomfortable/nervous/scared. (Like how a Lot of people feel going to the dentist) I went back the following day for a cleaning with Jackie and Dr. Nielsen were both so awesome, so light with their hands! Explained what they were going to do before they went into my mouth. Gave me suggestions and helpful tools to use to keep my teeth healthy. Overall, I would highly recommend Life Smiles!

I am a winter visitor and have been coming to Arizona for over 35 years. I don’t have a dentist here and I chipped a crown and needed attention. I found this office via my phone. I called, and was treated most amicably. They fit me in at an appointed time. When I arrived I was warmly greeted and only had to wait a few minutes. Dr. Schmidt was very warm and friendly as he took care of my dental problem. I was very pleased and can heartily recommend both him and the practice.

I’ve been a client of this practice for 6 years and even though I moved farther away from their location, I will continue to go back year after year. Why? They are that good! As a child I had a horrific dental experience which soured my outlook on dentistry. I was nervous trying a new dentist when I moved to AZ, but the staff, hygienists, and doctors were so professional they put me at ease. They created a plan to update my dental work and each time I returned to get more work done, it was a good experience. I’m very happy with my teeth now. If you’re looking for a Valley dentist, I highly recommend this practice.

Dr Jared Bishop is amazing!! I broke nearly half my front tooth off in a car accident and due to some health issues quiet some time passed before I was able to address it. With a job interview Friday I needed a miracle and that was Dr. Bishop. I have no insurance so they worked out a payment plan for me. I felt nothing...i actually fell asleep and my teeth look better than they did naturally. I highly recommend

My mom came to Life Smiles with similar feelings and left saying shes beyond impressed with the staff and level of care they provide. Typically, getting my teeth cleaned is anxiety inducing but my hygienist was so sweet and even allowed me to keep the weighted vest from my ex rays on during the exam as a comfort. I've gone to Life Smiles for years now, and this is the best dentist office EVER. I have found my hygienist, Kelli, to be the best fit for me. She's super amazing, sweet, skilled and incredibly professional. As well as very personal - she remembers things about me and will often bring up things I told her at my past appointments, which are normally months apart. It makes me feel incredibly seen and appreciated, and it brings immense happiness. She's also very knowledgeable, and won't hesitate to answer any and all of my questions. Honestly, all of them are amazing. I usually also see Dr. Schmidt, and he's always a delight to talk with. I haven't had any major work done other than cleanings really, but this practice makes even the most nerve wracking and uncomfortable moments incredibly at ease and calming. The front office ladies are absolutely incredible too - coming in and them greeting me BY NAME and a warm smile is just so nice. Again, it makes me feel seen & appreciated. And it makes it feel very personal and its then that you KNOW they definitely care about their patients. I would recommend this practice to anyone and everyone, and will always have nothing but good things to say.

I shared a review after my cleanings and this place was amazing. I have been a patient coming up on a few years. Today I had to get a few cavities filled,so it was my first experience with the dentist getting some work done. I came here because I have been looking for a dentist office that listens. I have a lot of anxiety and mouth pain/sensitivity and even cleanings can be nerve racking and painful. Dr Nielson is very genuine and explains everything before ,during and after your visit. The best thing is I didn't feel a thing ,not even the numbing poke. I am so happy to have found a great dentist office after so many years of searching. The front desk staff, hygienists and dentists are all amazing!! I live 30 miles away from the office and it is 100%worth the drive .

I trust both doctors they are great! Everyone that works there is great. We have never had any issues at life smiles. IMO, one of the best dental offices I've been in. They are honest and caring. They listen to your concerns and provide all the answers and information you need. From the first step in the office to the last step of your visit is all positive. The staff at the front desk - Mari, Treatment Coordinator - follows up with me to make sure all my billing and appointment questions are answered and also provides appointment reminders or changes if needed. Every treatment plan is discussed thoroughly and provides a good timeline if it is a multiple procedure. Lily - patient coordinator - very accommodating to any last minute schedule changes and very understanding. I had an emergency one time and she was able to check with the dentist and made it work. Dentists and Dental assistant - Both Dr. Schmidt and Dr. Neilson do amazing work! Had the pleasure working with them both. They run by everything with you and very patient with me when I have a ton of questions. They make sure you know exactly what is being done. The Wednesday evening hours is the emergency life saver! Didn't have to sleep with pain and wait for the next day. Miranda - Dental assistant - listens to my concerns and addresses any worries with the doctor. I don't have the best memory and so appreciative to know Miranda listens. Jackie - Registered Dental Hygienist - Had a cleaning appointment and told her about my sensitive gums. From the reception desk to the treatment coordinator to the hygienists to Dr. Schmidt everyone and everything was done first class. There was no pushy effort to upsell care that wasn’t needed. Having lost a crown on a flight to Phoenix, I was concerned it would be weeks before I could see a dentist. On my daughter’s recommendation, I called Life Smiles Dental, and was seen the next morning. I turned down an appt the same day I called, because of a prior engagement. The visit was amazing from the second I walked in, until I walked out. Front desk attendants were kind, and very professional. As soon as I finished paperwork, Miranda was there to escort me to the exam room and quickly had things done so I could see dentist. Dr. Schmidt came in promptly and introduced himself, made the decision my old crown could be used. Miranda prepared everything and stayed with me during the visit, talking to me and making me feel very comfortable. Dr. Schmidt quickly returned and did a great job of recementing the crown on. This was my first dentist visit in 8ish years. Due to bad experiences in my childhood, I’ve been afraid to go. I am also autistic, so sometimes certain experiences can be very overwhelming. I was absolutely blown away by how kind everyone at this office was. As soon as I told them I was anxious, everyone went above and beyond to make me feel safe and comfortable. Everything that was done to me was made very clear and I was always asked if I understood before we proceeded. I was given a way to nonverbally communicate that I needed a break, and although I did not need it, it was a comfort knowing I could do that. I never felt like a burden for asking so many questions. My hygienist Maryallen, was phenomenal. She treated me as if I was her own son, and I felt very safe. She also did an amazing job cleaning my teeth, I’m not afraid to smile anymore. Keri at the front desk remembered me from when I first called the office to set up my appointment. She was incredibly kind as well. Everyone was amazing. I will never go to another office, even if I move out of state I’ll make a point to come back here.

First thing walking through the door I was greeted by the receptionist who was friendly, the office was clean, neat and inviting. Loved the rooms with views of the Mountains which made me feel relaxed and at ease. The girl who brought me back to the room was very personable. We got to talking about hiking and just felt they everyone was friendly and not too friendly (it wasn't forced) The Dentist was able to give me a second opinion for my treatment plan which had been done elsewhere and I feel more comfortable and the room was much more neat and clean and inviting. They seem to care about quality of work and knowing that crowns have a 5 yr warranty and fillings have a 2 yr warranty gives some peace of mind especially when you know you need to put out a lot of money for dental work. I liked that they take you into a private office to discuss your payment options. I will continue to go here.

Dr. Schmidt is one of THE nicest people you will ever meet. The way he treats his staff and his patients demonstrates the kind of person he is. Everyone in the office has incredible interpersonal skills as well as a very professional and respectful approach. I brought my almost 3 year old for his very first dentist appointment, and it seriously could not have gone any better. The staff made him feel so comfortable that he let the hygienist do the full cleaning AND x-rays. In fact, when I went back to get my own teeth cleaned my toddler was very upset because he wanted his teeth cleaned again. Having a toddler that gets excited to go to the dentist makes any drive worth it. I was apprehensive regarding my own visit, as I had to bring my toddler and 8 month old, but once again things went so smoothly. I never once felt like a disruption or inconvenience. Instead, everyone kept telling me that we would make it work, and the whole staff willingly jumped in to help entertain my kids during my 1 1/2 hour visit. That kind of atmosphere speaks volumes about the people who work here and the quality of care they strive to provide. I left the office feeling cared for, respected, and valued. I’ve never been so satisfied after a dentist appointment! I I give my highest recommendation for LifeSmiles!

I've been going to this office for nearly 18 months and haven't written a review yet because, until yesterday, all I've received was regular cleanings and check ups. I'm one of those people you hear about that get irrationally anxious about dental work. Seriously, it starts a couple days before the appointment. For me, the true test of a dentist is how comfortable I feel during more involved procedures. Yesterday, that was some major work to prep for a bridge for my upper back molars. Dr. Nielsen and his staff are true pros. They listened to my needs and made adjustments to their procedures to accommodate my "special needs". I left in complete awe of how little anxiety I felt during that appointment. As long as I live in Phoenix, this will be my dentist office.

Prior to coming in for my first consultation with Dr.Schmidt, I was very nervous and I had a lot of anxiety due to previous dental services/history. Even after making the consultation appointment, I debated whether I should come in even though most of my molars were in various states of dental decay as a result of not seeing a dentist in years (10). As Dr.Schmidt phrased it, I was very comfortable with my diseased mouth, but in all seriousness I was 10 years past due for a visit. When I came in for my appointment, I was first introduced to Myra, who was very gentle and put me at ease. She took my ex-rays and was great at accommodating me even though I had a difficult time opening my mouth wide and as a result made her job much harder. She was patient and kind throughout the whole process and continued to be for every visit thereafter. My experience with Dr.Schmidt was awesome. From my very first visit, he listened to my concerns patiently and explained what the restoration process would require. After wax up or two, Dr.Schmidt gave me several different options, which I really appreciated for what could be done to restore my mouth and we went from there. My most nerve racking appointment involved 8 or 9 extractions and I was ready to bolt from the chair at one point, but throughout it all, Dr.Schmidt and Myra remained calm and did everything that they could to keep me comfortable. I survived that appointment and came back for the rest because they are a wonderful team and I knew I was in good hands. I will continue coming to Life Smiles Dental because Dr.Schmidt is a knowledgeable dentist and has a good eye for detail (I really liked the shape of the crowns of my upper canine teeth-they complement the rest of my teeth very well) and because Myra is the world’s most patient dental assistant and gave great advice about what I needed to do for maintenance after every appointment. Overall, my experience has been great so far.

This week I had my first visit with Dr. Tim Schmidt, after being refferred by my colleague, since I typically have high anxiety going to the dentist, she knew I would be well taken care of by Life Smiles. i popped a crown over the weekend and did not have a dentist as I had recently moved to Arizona. I called the office and they were able to get me in same day. The dr could have said I needed a crown for the cracked tooth but he said a filling would suffice for now. Weird rating a dentist with a good review but I was very happy with my experience. I needed a few cavities filled that were getting really bad but I didn't have insurance. They went over any work they recommended but they never pushed and left it up to me to decide how to proceed. They even offered to send my x-rays (that they took for free) to another dentist if I preferred. I went with them and the experience was quick, nearly painless, and the results look amazing. I've avoided dentists for years, but once I get insurance, I may make this place my regular dentist.

I have been to several dentists between CT and AZ and he is by far the best when it comes to his craft. He repaired a chip in my front tooth and you could never tell there was any work done. SO happy with it. I also had a pretty deep filling and it was the easiest filling I've ever had. The shot didn't hurt, I wasn't over numbed and my tooth feels great. He definitely has a gift! If you haven’t been to Life Smiles and met Dr. Schmidt, you need to ASAP. Nobody in the Valley cares more about you as a person and your health than this man and his crew. Also, Dental Hygienist, Jackie, is such a delight to be around and is one of the best in the industry. Be aware though..these people are in high demand, so you’ll need to book well in advance. Absolutely love this place and won’t go anywhere else.
