This was my first experience with needing any sort of dental work, and while I wasn't exactly scared, I wasn't looking forward to it at all. Dr. Hill made me feel extremely comfortable, talked me through the entire process before we started as well as during, so that I knew where we were throughout the procedure. Despite my appointment being at 7am, Dr. Hill as well as the two assistants were so pleasant and friendly and made the lead up to the procedure as nice as it could be. I'm grateful that the process was as easy as it was, and while I hope I never need another root canal, I will definitely go to Dr. Hill if I do.

I am beyond happy with the treatment received at SW Endodontics. Dr Goodman was great. I left there feeling no pain after a root canal and here I am 36 hrs later and still no pain. Dr. Goodman was extremely thorough in his diagnostic work, explanation of the process, and I was pleasantly surprised that he had set aside time to complete the procedure during this visit, which I believed was merely a consultation. His knowledge and skills were very evident during the entire appointment, and his assistant, Laquita, also puts the patient at ease with her very sincere and friendly manner, sharing a high degree of professionalism as well. Overall, Dr. Goodman surpassed the high praise which my general dentist’s office had shared with me. From the time you walk in the front door you'll find yourselves in a very welcoming atmosphere, everyone there are very nice, they make sure you are comfortable. All of the doctors there have hands that have been kiss by angels, they're great. I see Dr. Gabriella Rizzo and she has performed two root canal procedures on me and believe me when I say l had no pain during or after the procedures, a little soreness hours later but nothing that 2 Ibuprofen couldn't handle.

The team at Southwest Endodontics went above and beyond! I was scheduled to leave on a trip with my family and they were able to squeeze me in hours before my flight and get the X-rays they needed to determine that I had a cracked tooth and was not in need of a root canal. They set me up with an antibiotic that will hopefully keep me pain free for our trip! Dr. Goodman performed a root canal for me 5 years ago, and it was a great experience. The staff and the doctors are outstanding. Definitely recommend.

State of the art practice and superior skills. Had my root canal today and all went great. Great care. Update (03/01/23): The second and final procedure to complete my root canal was a success. Dr. Rizzo and her assistant Mona make a great team. Kudos to both of them!

My Dentist Dr. Lew referred me to Southwest Endodontics, due to a root canal that if left untreated will eventually get worse or become a loss of a tooth. He assured me that Southwest Endodonotics is the best, and that he just sent his mom over to have the same procedure. The way he explained how thorough the practice was really made me confident in choosing them to get my first, and hopefully only root canal done. I called them right away to make an appointment spoke with Tameka, and she got me in for an appointment the very next day. I was a little nervous when i made it to the practice, but the warm welcoming from the ladies of the front (Tameka & Banesa) really made me feel so comfortable, and it only gets better from here. I also share a birthday with the Office manager Gigi, and in which also made me feel at ease knowing a fellow cancer was in my presence haha. The Dental Assistant Mona (MJ) was amazing she assured me of all what they would need to do, and chatted it up with me to make me feel at home. The Insurance Coordinator (Banesa) really made my entire year with the nicest gesture that anyone has given to me as of recent, and for that I’m so very grateful & thankful. Dr. Rizzo was very informative and precise with explaining the procedure to me in great detail. Dr. Rizzo must have the most magical touch, because the procedure went so well that i almost nodded off a few times due to the comfort these ladies provided me! The after care went very well for me i followed Dr. Rizzo’s orders, and she called me later in the day to check in on me. In all, this was one of the best experiences i had in the Health industry, and i will be sure to refer everyone to them! Top Tier Service!

I was referred to Southwest Endodontics by my dentist for evaluation of sustained pain and sensitivity to cold liquid in one molar. 3D X-ray of the affected tooth revealed infection in the pulp, requiring root canal treatment. This was a one-stop procedure - evaluation followed by immediate root canal - performed by Dr. Chad Goodman, who explained the procedure thoroughly and answered all my questions. At no time during the procedure did I feel any pain or discomfort, and I was in and out of the office in 75 minutes. I was told some soreness post-treatment is normal and to be expected, and should be treated for a day or two with Advil or Extra-Strength Tylenol. However, I never experienced any degree of discomfort post-treatment. I highly recommend Dr. Goodman and his well-trained staff.

I've had half a dozen root canals in my life and none have been so easy to book, so painless, so non-invasive and so quick as the one I had today at Southwest Endodontics. Tameka was so polite, professional and efficient on the phone when I was desperately in need of an appointment. Shaquitta was an excellent assistant to Dr Hill. They worked together like a well practiced duet. Dr Hill eagerly explained all the aspect of my 3-D scan as well as listened to and answered any and all of my questions. During the procedure Shaquitta was calm, assuring and kept me comforted with her calm voice and quick wit. I hope to never have to get another root canal but if I do, there's no other team I would call upon than Dr Hill and his amazing team at Southwest Endodontics. BTW, they have this "Gentle Wave" system that I can't even describe that made the process so much more gentle. Ask about it!

I was referred to Dr Rizzo and could not be more pleased. She was thorough, informative, and very professional. What a practice! I was nervous walking in to get a procedure, but the doctor and staff quickly calmed those nerves and before I knew it, it was over! Fantastic! Dr. Rizzo and the staff (Shaquitta) in the office was so wonderful that they made the procedure so peaceful. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted with a welcoming spirit that calm all my nerves. If you have to have any specialty work done this is the place to go. All the doctors are great! I've had an encounter with Dr. Hill and he is fantastic as well. Hours after the procedure when the anesthesia wore off I had no pain I was able to eat and drink with no problems. This was my second root canal at Southwest Endodontics and I couldn't have asked for a more positive experience than the one I had. Everyone was so friendly and they put me at ease immediately. Dr. Ron Hill is the best dentist I have ever met. I was really nervous to get my root canal done especially after a really bad experience with another doctor. I searched for two weeks and visited 3 different clinics before my appointment at southwest Endodontics. It was important for me to find a good doctor. the clinic is very clean and the stuff is super nice! Erica took the time to talk to me before the treatment and made me feel i'm in good hands. when Dr. Hill entered the room he was so patient and explained everything. He made me feel I can trust him and he truly cared. That is hard to find this days! he was also very honest about what needs to be done and what can wait. if you fear the dentist as much as I do this will be a perfect choice for you. I expected the pain to be 10 times than what it really was, he is very professional and at the end of the treatment I got instructions and even his phone number in case of any emergency. I also got a hot towel and a lip balm and it felt really nice . As a foreign its never easy to find health care providers when you are new to a place and English being your second language makes it a real challenge, but Dr. Hill and his assistant Erica did everything they could to make me feel comfortable and that means a lot! He also kindly put a filling on an old open crown I had ! thank you so much for taking care of me! God bless your heart !!

The first one was on a back molar, involving a longer procedure and a bit of local soreness over the next 24 hours. The second one was much milder and I experienced no discomfort at all. Great experience so far! I have my root canal next week...but I will say that my experience with Dr. Rizzo was great. She knows her stuff--diagnosed the issue (dead nerve) in like two minutes....whereas my prior dentists in LA and Houston hadn't seen anything weird on the X-rays at all. Here, they not only do the x-rays but they do a cold sensitivity test and also a bite test. One of my crowned teeth had no reaction to a cold item and the surrounding teeth did...bingo. This issue of not being able to chew gum has been bugging me for over a year so I am looking forward to updating this review after the procedure! Fingers crossed everything goes smoothly!

Temeka at the front desk brings the kind of warmth, attention, friendliness and positivity you want around you every day. Shaquita (I hope I got the name right) and Dr. Goodman were friendly, patient and very personable. The office feels very high tech, not to forget the chair with the glamorous view (though I'm sure the view is less enjoyable when 59 is backed up for 5 miles). The written instructions given on the way out were extremely helpful and reassuring. As a former student of customer service/experience, I would rate the experience here better than what you'd get at the Marriott! Also, I'm sure he did a great job with the root canal, but that's not my area of expertise so I wouldn't really know ;-)

I had a root canal on the last tooth on the bottom right which I understand is difficult because of how far back it is and how low it was in the gum. Everything went very well, and other than the initial numbing shots which were a little uncomfortable but not very painful, there was no pain in the procedure at all. After the shots wore off, there was very minor pain for 2 to 3 hours and by the evening no pain at all, nor any pain the next day. I was very pleased with this root canal.

I went to see my regular dentist who determined that I had cracked my front tooth. I was in severe pain. She referred me to Southwest Endodontics. They saw me within 2 hours and began working on the tooth for a root canal. I don’t think Dr Goodman realized how much pain I was in until he began his work; he had to use several additional injections of anesthesia to reach a level where I could tolerate the pain. Dr Goodman and his Assistant (Mayesha) were very thorough and kind, and worked rapidly to help me with the repair of the tooth. Dr Goodman took the time to discuss medications with me, and assured me that the meds should remedy my pain. Everyone in this office was kind, patient and polite. I appreciate all that they did for me!

I have had a previous experience with another dentist resulting in my having a five hour root canal with no anesthesia. For this visit, I went as a second opinion to another endodontist that I had seen the same day, whom I felt gave me a bad treatment plan. The endodontist was straight forward and spent a lot of time explaining my options. These people were so very kind to me. I was coming from out of town and ran into some severe weather which caused me to be running late. Tameka worked some magic with Dr. Hill’s schedule and arranged to get me in to see Dr. Hill just a little later in the afternoon thus saving me another 4 hour drive to Houston. Dr. Hill did some diagnostics and gave me a very thorough explanation of the situation and my options for treatment. As it turned out, he did not see a specific need for treatment at this time. Seriously? I suspect there are other doctors who are less scrupulous and would have taken advantage of the opportunity to do 3 root canals and generate the income associated with those root canals. Without reservation, I would highly recommend Dr. Hill and Southwest Endodontics.

When I arrived early at 7am Tameka validated my parking and got me all set up & ready to go for Dr.Hill to see me. He first diagnosed the problem & said I need a root canal and showed me the xrays on the TV and pointed out whats going to happen and he knew I was 20 weeks pregnant and made sure I was at ease. Dr.Hill impressed me with talking to me in simple normal terms and walking through the process throughout the whole procedure so I can anticipate whats going to happen next. He was very quick and thorough, but best of all he was able to get me out of that excruciating pain!! If you don't have insurance they have a great discount for cash. The office is really nice but really cold! The procedure itself was so painless I fell asleep in the chair for a few seconds here and there when they were working on me (oops!). They also said that they would fix the temporary filling if necessary before having the crown put on for free! Anyway, I'd absolutely recommend this endodontist.

Two things that frighten almost everyone are snakes and root canals. Cannot offer advice on the matter of snakes, but if the need for a root canal presents itself, my recommendation is Dr. Ron Hill.
