I am so happy to have found this dentist office. From the very first voice I heard over the phone to the last one after my visit, everyone was super friendly, professional, organized, efficient and made me feel so welcomed. The staff were personable and I definitely did not feel judged ( from time missed in between cleanings). The process was painless from beginning to end, I did not have anxiety as a new patient and the scheduling was very convenient! I would totally give this business 100 stars if I could! Highly recommended!

The team at WDM Dental always take good care of my teeth. They’ve eased up on Covid precautions, which is unfortunate: healthcare offices play an important roll in setting community standards for prevention of and education re communicable diseases. For example, masking still matters and people still don’t seem to understand why. Still, they’ve done better than a lot of other healthcare offices.

I had several bad experiences as a child and was a bit gun shy when I first started going. The docs and staff are super friendly and my comfort has always been addressed as a top priority. I just moved here from out of state earlier last year and had a few negative experiences at other places that made me anxious to find a solid dentist. I am unbelievably thankful I found this place. Dr. John Myer is a gold-tier level dentist with a ton of experience, skill, a great personality and chair-side manner. I knew from the moment I met him that he just radiated competence, care and kindness. He is very honest in his assessments and up-front with options about your dental care. He made getting a few fillings done as well as an upper wisdom tooth extraction as quick, straight-forward and easy as possible. Very professional and caring dentist along with an incredibly kind and knowledgeable staff. These guys actually make it interesting and fun to go see the dentist! Would highly recommend!

Now that my kids have grown up and married, they bring their kids here as well. Julie has been doing an exceptional job cleaning my teeth for many years. She is special, kind and very talented. The support staff is friendly and welcoming; all of them terrific. If you need a home for dental services, I promise, you will love these professionals. They are like family. Trust them!!

The office was clean. The reception people, friendly. They were covid ready (sanitizer, temps, call to check in). My scheduled appointment was only 7 minutes late. My normal dental hygienist had the day off (she is amazing and remembers little things about me that are important to me). The dental hygienist I had was friendly and easy to talk to. She was considerate, kind and efficient. The dentist is an avid bike rider and easy to talk to. He is efficient and cares about his patients. I love the extra goody bag filled with toothbrushes and floss! The staff is why I have continued to drive across town for the last 15+ years. A++!

I really am not someone who leaves a lot of reviews or who posts much on social media, but I want to give a shout out to West Des Moines Dental in West Des Moines, Iowa! I have to say that before moving to the area I was someone who really dreaded going to the dentist. This was due to past negative experiences I had at other dental offices. I have been going to West Des Moines Dental for about six years, now and I have to say that my dentist, Dr. John Meyer has the best and most genuine bedside manner. He always makes me feel extremely comfortable and at ease, which is pretty ironic because historically I've always been super anxious about going to the dentist. Regarding the staff, everyone is always nice when I call the office and go for appointments. Today, I had my teeth cleaned by "Patty". She seriously laughed with me the entire time which made my appointment fly by so quickly. I so appreciated her willingness to have a little fun with me while doing a great job on my teeth. In closing, I just want to let everyone who works at West Des Moines Dental know how much I appreciate them and the amazing work they all do! As for anyone who might need a great dentist, WDM Dental is the dental office for you!

We actually were just in today and I noticed (just like every other visit) how genuinely interested she is in her patients. Dr. Edwards recalled things I told her 6 months ago and ask me how my wedding was and other details about my life. She is kind, but also a great dentist. I love watching her with my daughter. Dr. John Meyer and his assistant did the most outstanding job and far exceeded my expectations. I hadn’t visited a dentist in 5 years and having him perform the cleaning for the first visit was very reassuring to me that I was getting worked on by the most experienced person in the office. The results were spectacular - 5 years of plaque on the back teeth sanded off - I figured I was going to get gouged for a major cleaning, tons of fillings, and everything else under the sun in dentistry since I hadn’t kept up with dental check-ups and cleanings. The fact that nothing was wrong and Dr. Meyer stating that I had really good teeth, built up the trust factor and made me realize I was working with a dentist with high integrity. Well some people aren't that crazy about going to the dentist but it's never bothered me. In fact Dr Meyer and his awesome staff and crew have always made it a very pleasurable experience. Today however was going to be a different deal because I had to have a tooth pulled. Dr. Meyer had been warning me this day would come and today was the day. I've had it with the throbbing pain in my jaw. I called in the morning and they made room for me same afternoon. Got there, checked in, briefed on the procedure by thorough hygienist and then Dr Meyer came in. 45 minutes later the tooth had been painlessly removed. Now I'm wishing I would have done it sooner. Anyway thanks to Dr Meyer and his staff for a job well done. You rock Doc.

This was my first dentist appointment in 5 years. Dr. Ashely Edwards was one of the best dentists I've had work done by. My appointment started out with xrays and her looking at my teeth where she determined I had two fillings that were leaking and causing a cavity. She gave me two anesthetic shots and I did not feel either of them which has never happened to me previously (I normally have tears running down my face at other places). After fixing my fillings she did a clening which was also smooth and pain free. Dr. Edwards is fast, efficient and very friendly! Great experiance as I am normally really nervous about going to the dentist hence the 5 year break. Thank you Dr. Edwards!! I will definitely be coming back and recommending other patients!!

Well once again I had a 5 star experience with Dr Myers.Since I was a child the word Dentist scared me.Since being referred to Dr Myers those fears have escaped me I can sit in the chair and have full confidence that he ellxplains the procedure and I'm in good hands. .A PAINLESS procedure he's fast and helps with making sure my insurance covers most of my time in his chair.Ive come to realize it's the sounds of the drilling thats scary.I use to sit curl my toes and wait for the pain.But for the last 14 yrs my toes have relaxed .I truly recommend his office. The staff is very helpful Profesional an amazing also.
