Very nice and clean dentist office. I’ve only had two appointments and so far it’s been a good dental experience. Dr. Lina took x-rays and she showed me the x-rays and she explained everything that I needed done & the cost. If you’re looking for a dentist I recommend making an appointment with Dr. Lina.

I love coming to Downtown Dental Loop. Everybody I had a chance to interact with was so competent and able to make me feel safe and like I’m in the best hands. The thing that I appreciate the most about Dr Borga and her hygienists is that they explain everything that they do to the patient in detail. I have not encountered that at any other medical office. The level of professionalism is unmatched.

It being my first time at the dentist in a number of years I’m ashamed of… the team at Downtown Dental made me feel sooo comfortable, I’m not over exaggerating at all. From the receptionist printing out and highlighting my payments, and also thoroughly explaining it to me. The dental assistant Evie, who was practically a friend by the end of my visit, telling me what she was doing at every step, simplifying everything, and just super hospitable. The doctor, Dr. Latchinian, who was extremely attentive and just took his time. He answered all of my silly questions and didn’t make me feel like I was taking up too much of his time. Great experience all around. Ten out of ten. Definitely making Downtown Dental my permanent dentist office.

Switching dentists immediately!!! During a procedure, the dentist grabbed my two front teeth with his hands and pulled them to move my face toward him (instead of asking me verbally or gently shifting my chin) - It was extremely dehumanizing and degrading. I have never experienced anything like that before and when I mentioned it afterwards, I received a very dismissive, nonchalant response from the dentist. I cannot say for sure if it was racially motivated (I am an African American woman and he is a Caucasian male), but it made me extremely uncomfortable and I will never visit that particular dentist again.

My husband and I have been coming here for years and we are always satisfied with the care that they provided to us. The dental hygienists here are one of the best in Chicagoland at least in our humble opinion. They’re polite, conscientious and very thorough. The dentists are knowledgeable, friendly and not pushy. Have been with DD for almost 8 years now... Top notch dentists, latest equipment and no hassles with insurance till date.. Biggest draw is they are upfront and honest about complications and surgeries etc...The same cannot be said for many other dentists that we have encountered in the suburbs and the city

Downtown Dental is adjusting to Covid-19 like all businesses. I felt like they’ve made reasonable and diligent accommodations to protect the health of their staff and of me as a patient. I also saw a different Hygienist today because of a personnel (maternity) situation. Katie did a great job and made me feel comfortable. The whole experience was very smooth. It’s a good dental office that makes things easy for their patients. When I have had some filling work done in the past, it was easy. I appreciate that they do things very well at this office.

For my teeth cleaning, Michael gave me great tips for keeping my teeth healthy and clean. He did a superb job in cleaning my teeth. He was very thorough and explained every step as he went along. Very professional and friendly. :) I had some fillings done earlier in the year with Dr Tosiou and they have been holding up great! The experience with even getting them done was wonderful! No discomfort at all. This dental office does an excellent job addressing any of the fears you might have with visiting the dentist. No need to fear at Downtown Dental. When I couldn't reach my regular practice, I reached out to DD for what turned out to be an emergency crown. I called @ 8am and was in the chair @ 9am. I love my regular practice and have informed standards when it comes to dental care. DD met and exceeded my standards. The office is clean, the staff is super-friendly, and my hygienist and dentist were great at explaining the issue to me with pictures and xrays, explaining the cost, and checking in with me regularly about any pain or discomfort. I was able to get a permanent crown on the spot. If I ever leave my current practice, I would choose DD with no hesitation.

I’ve been a patient of Downtown Dental for at least 10 years, after a co-worker spoke of them glowingly, and I’ve had a LOT of dental work done there. Cleanings, fillings, root canals, crowns, implants, you name it, I’ve had it done there. And every time, I’ve been treated politely and with the utmost respect. Everyone there is professional and helpful, always willing to work with me, including when I’m having insurance issues. I’ve seen several dentists and endodontists there and every time the result is the same: great service and great care. I just had my semi-annual cleaning today with Michael and he was great. I have zero complaints about Downtown Dental and I definitely recommend them. Several of my co-workers are now their patients thanks to me.

I love Downtown Dental! I go to Dr.Borga and she is so nice!! Her assistant Hailey was super nice as well. I went in for my annual cleaning and got some cavity fillings. They do an amazing job at making my teeth look so nice. You do have to pay A $10 Co-vid fee but I was fine with it because they do such a great job each time. I highly RECOMMEND Downtown Dental.

This dentist office is professional and technologically advanced. Dentistry isn’t super sexy but Downtown Dental does a really great job. The views of the city from most of the chairs are nice. The technology they use to monitor your oral health is great. The staff is nice and helpful. After I moved out of downtown I almost left this practice over the lack of parking but the prospect of finding a comparable dentist was slim. These guys are a premier choice in dentistry.

I chipped a tooth and did not have a dentist in Chicago as I loved my dentist, where I used to live, and decided to keep using them. But to fly home just to get a chipped tooth fixed seemed a bit excessive, especially with COVID. I went and started looking for one and saw the excellent ratings from this dentist's office. I have to say I was beyond impressed at how friendly and professional everyone was and how quickly I could get an appointment. I also was impressed to see how the rates were very reasonable and so far seems cheaper than my old dentist in a different state. Like all the other reviews, I highly recommend this dentist's office, and I plan to use them for all my other needs.

Dr. Carson is great on his job plus the sweetest person I've ever met :) Everything was quick, painless and he explained all the details and made me so comfortable. Downtown Dental is great. I moved here 3 years ago and a friend recommended it as I needed a new dentist in the Loop close to my work right away. My hygienist, Casey Carlberg, is great. She is thorough, but also very gentle. And she explains everything she is doing and makes sure I'm comfortable at all times. It is great that they book you with the same hygienist every time. I think that is important. The front desk staff are friendly, and I have never once had to wait for my appointment longer than a few minutes. I haven't had much dental work done here other than the cleanings (which is a good thing), but the dentists that have done exams and checks have all been very good too. In August 2020 Downtown Dental gave me my first and emergency appointment where Dr Brittany Borga DDS, General & Cosmetic, set up the road to temperary partial dentures on both the top and bottom off my mouth. Dr. Jane Kim, DDS, MS, Periodontist, on my first appt removed the two aching teeth while I was awake without my realizing she had removed them. Nor had I realized two other times when Dr. Kim removed my teeth. No pain the next day ever. Now moving on to February 2022 the plans are for Dr. Kim to remove the rest of my teeth on top and then put in two permanent teeth on both sides to anchor the other permanent dentures on top. Then for Dr. Borga to put in permanent removable dentures on the bottom. I couldn’t be happier with the work of either of them.

My overall experience with Downtown Dental Loop, has been extremely positive. Initially contacted them last summer regarding a failed crown from another provider. They replaced the crown quickly and efficiently and at a competitive price. They also recommended I consider replacing another crown on an upper molar which I had been considering anyway. I agreed and they replaced that crown quickly and it also fits perfectly. Now, having experienced a couple of routine cleaning and check up visits, I have been very pleased and enthusiastically recommend they to those seeking a friendly, effective, dental services provider.

A bit disappointed. I had a regular cleaning appointment and everything seemed to go fine at the office. I did think the exam room layout was a bit odd - the chair I was in couldn't have been more than 5ft from the door that separated my exam room from the lobby area. It just felt really weird and too open. The dental hygienist and doctor seemed great. No concerns. My disappointment is coming from the billing side of the office. When checking out, I submitted payment and was told that I was good to go. Later, they contact me and say my payment didn't go through (not sure how they didn't notice that before I left). Whatever, no big deal it was $25. I got incredibly busy at work that week and forgot to call them to pay the $25. I had a follow up appointment the following week so worse case, I could just pay it when I went back in. I then received another request for payment of like ~$200 or something. That seemed odd but I assumed it was something to do with insurance. Then, I received another request for payment of ~$90. I called the office to request a itemized bill so that I could understand what I actually owed vs. what insurance covered. I called them and confirmed my email address (even spelled it out) but never received any follow up. I ended up cancelling my follow up appointment because I wanted the billing for my previous appointment sorted out before going in for another appointment. It's a bit ridiculous how much back and forth its taken. Like, I'm actively trying to give you money for my outstanding bill -- I just want to see a formal, itemized bill before paying -- and I'm not sure why it took so long. I've been to one another doctor's office in Chicago that made me feel skeptical of how they were billing -- and this experience reminded me of that office so I won't be coming back. In this case, I think it was likely disorganization vs. anything more serious but regardless, it's unacceptable. I need to ensure the billing department of where I'm going is organized and bit more on top of it.

Appts with her can be hard to come by (she books up months in advance), however she is extremely knowledge and caring and makes each visit a pleasure. I have been coming to Downtown Dental for almost 10 years now and I love this practice. All of the dentists, hygienists, technicians and office staff are all very nice and professional. They always run on time, which is a huge bonus. The office is very clean. They seem to stay updated on their dental technology as well and the cleanings are painless and I don't feel like they're scratching and digging at my teeth endlessly. I had one root canal and the procedure was handled very well and efficiently. I highly recommend this place. I think they only accept PPO dental plans. Good views of the city from their office as a side bonus.

I've had a great experience so far at Downtown Dental. Hunter is an awesome hygienist - she made me feel totally comfortable and performed an excellent cleaning, even on my pesky bottom retainer. Dr Palsis did my fillings and also did an excellent job. I haven't had fillings since I was younger so I was understandably a little nervous but he was super efficient and made me feel comfortable as well. Additionally - Great location right in the loop by multiple L stops.

Best dental office I’ve been to across the many cities I have lived in. Special shout out to Dr. Carson, his chair side demeanor and easy to understand explanations... Hardly anyone likes going to the dentist, let alone hearing they need a crown (or worse, a root canal), but he provides a special kind of support and lessens the anxiety I would typically get on a visit to any other office. Highly recommend the office overall, and make an appt with him for sure!

Really love this place! The office is really professional and clean. The receptionist and the staffs are friendly! Scheduling and follow ups are done well and I like the fact that reminder text is sent to me the day before my appointment (which makes life easier). I've been going here for over 10 years, and the dentists and hygienists are fantastic. Dr. Patel was terrific, and was the first dentist that didn't try and swindle me out of getting an updated crown when my prior dentist said I should replace it, even though it was structurally fine. 9 years later the crown is still fine. They have an incredibly friendly staff, and I'm always impressed that my hygienist remembers me and the conversations we've had about our families, etc. Love this place, and highly recommend it to everyone.

Wonderful overall experience! Dr. Palsis was referred to me by my coworker, and he is by far the best dentist I could ask for. In one day, I had nine crowns done (front teeth), and I couldn't be happier with the results. My teeth are perfectly customized to suit my face, and I can't stop smiling! What a convenient location to hop over during the work day! The office came highly recommended by several colleagues as well as other offices in the same building at 25 E Washington. They got me in within two days of calling, greeted me at the counter as a first time visit, the dental asst was so kind, and all of those ‘dentist nerves’ we all get before an appointment were quickly put to rest by Dr. Carson. I’ve been going to Dr. Palsis for many years, and he and the team - both hygienists and admin- never fail to impress me with their professionalism. They uphold new COVID-19 standards, which were made known to me over the phone prior to my appointment, and written in a brief waiver form upon arrival. There were hand sanitizers conveniently located throughout the office and the building, and signs to keep your mask on. The waiting area only had 2 other people on a Monday morning. I opened my mouth and they didn't gasp, instead they got to work and after, I couldn't help but keep running my tongue over my teeth. Man, they were clean. That was a couple years ago. What can I say, this dental office is awesome! I had a root canal and a crown done and it was painless. They have a machine that makes crowns while you wait. Life Savers!! Of all the rotten luck to have a dental emergency during the pandemic I’m so thankful Downtown Dental is my Dentist. They do not force treatment or try to sell me other random things that are unnecessary. Scheduling an appointment is almost too easy. I don’t have to worry about when my next appointment is because they keep track and contact me. While my hygienist cleans and polish my teeth, I want to fall asleep because that’s how comfortable I am. I always leave the dental office smiling.

I always receive friendly, prompt and professional service and I actually look forward to going to te dentist, which is not something I've ever really been able to say. I've been coming here for 3 years and have no plans to go elsewhere. Edit: I’ve recommended Downtown Dental to loads of people in the past, and months ago, I scheduled my semi-annual cleaning. Upon arrival, I was presented with a form and given no advanced warning I would need to provide a liability waiver. Downtown Dental is now charging their patients a $10 fee to offset the cost of PPE, despite the exorbitant rates they charge my insurance company. I was totally blindsided by this fee and this consent waiver that was sprung on me, and I can’t say that I appreciate it.

This review is long overdue. My family and I moved to Chicago in 2010 and we have been using the services at Downtown Dental since that time. We have utilized every possible service they provide, preventative, filling replacements, crowns as well as root canals. Every single visit the staff have been outstanding and met all our needs. When I have had to call with an emergency they have accommodated my schedule and I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes in the waiting room. Now when I visit it feels like I am part of their family. My children are now away at college and every time I call to "squeeze"them in they make it happen. The modern bundling with a great view in every room cannot be understated. The front desk staff are very prompt and I worked with Casey as my hygienist who was super gentle and thorough and made my cleaning pain free. Dr. Schoening was my doctor but he introduced himself as Eric. Very polite he came across as very upbeat and not dry like some doctors can be. He gave me a lot of information without overloading me with industry terms and I left in full understanding on what my needs were. I even got to leave with a game plan about future visits which was definitely appreciated. I'm a lifetime procrastinator but the whole experience was relaxing and quick. First impressions do mean a lot and for once in not dreading going back.

The waiver before my appt was a little surprising, if only because the tone was much different than previous communications, but not alarming to the point that it made me want to reschedule. Dr. Carson has been extremely informative, precautious, and an active listener. He tries to keep the integrity of your teeth by monitoring cavities instead of performing fillings for minor cavities like most other dentists would. I highly recommend him, you won’t be disappointed! Dr. Kim has been such a light in my recent root canal failures turning in to needing an implant. She is quick and does amazing work! She performed oral surgery on me for an abscess after that area had gotten infected again. She has walked me through every step needed to be taken in procedures, billing, and up front on what can happen with my implant. I appreciate this office and their staff so much!

I've tried other dentists in the city and instantly regretted it. Many of the ones I've tried are either super shady when it comes to billing or they try and sell you services ( or an overpriced mouth guard) that you don't really need. Honestly this office is like a breathe of fresh air. They are thorough, fast, efficient and honest. My only gripe is that since they are so popular, it takes a minute to get in for an appointment (unless it's an emergency). Regardless, I've learned my lesson to book well in advance and will continue to do so.

I saw Dr Carson for an initial consultation and he informed me that the work I need should be done with Dr Kim. he did not try to make money off of me or try to do work that is not to his level of expertise. rather he had me see Dr Jane Kim in the same office and she was just as wonderful. she took care of my issues and did a wonderful job. Made a last minute appointment to fix the mouth appliance holding open the space left by a missing tooth with a very realistic false tooth. Since the missing tooth was right next to one of my top front teeth, I was extremely grateful to Downtown Dental and Dr. Carson (not my regular dentist) for having done such a fine job on the retainer late last summer. Only something happened a few days ago to make my mouth apppliance very painful to wear, and I needed it fixed ASAP. Unfortunately, my regular dentist, Dr. Tasio, was once again on vacation. I had a wonderful experience at DOWNTOWN DENTAL❗️I was referred by my co worker. I was a little agitated with the initial phone call only because I was asked to give them my insurance info as well as my info, but I later realized it was only for the best of me. As I checked in with the friendly front desk staff, I knew this office was on point. They knew who I was and answered all of my insurance questions that I had. They actually informed me of some useful tips about my plan, so they definitely called my insurance ahead of time. The Very NICE assistant Steph called my name within 5 minutes, I was seen by a well efficient hygienist named Monicah. My 3rd visit was for my Invisalign with MR. Know It All, DR. Pettijohn. He had Liz, (my Favorite front desk chick) come show me her before and after Invisalign pictures, which were incredible. I couldn't be happier with my results!👍 Another dentist in the same building had told me I was not a candidate for Invisalign, that it would be a waste of my time, but once again DR. Patel and DR. Pettijohn proved him really wrong. Thank you Downtown Dental for giving Me a wonderful smile😃

Dr. Eric Kunath performed my complex root canal surgey. First, I am ususal an anxious dental patient but his calm and friend demeanor immediately started to put me at ease. In addition, his working space is in a spacious corner office which kept me from felling closed-in during the procedure. Most important of all, I only needed two numbing shots instead of the several I usually receive. Why? Because he actually took the time to chat with me and wait until the first shot took effect in order to make an accurate judgement of how many additional shots were needed. Downtown Dental is my preferred dentist office from this point forward!
