I had a really bad tooth ache for several days but I did not have a regular dentist that I went to. I tried scheduling an appointment at a couple different dentist offices near my house but no one would take me until at least 3 weeks. I was able to locate Dental Salon in Chicago which was only a few blocks away and they were able to schedule me right away. I ended up with a root canal and I now have a permanent crown. I was treated by Dr. Shaikh and she was amazing. She made me feel comfortable and treated me as more than just another patient. Her assistants have all been wonderful as well and I couldn't have asked for a better team of professionals. I have since scheduled more work on my teeth and I am glad to have found a new dentist office that I can regularly visit. Thank you Dental Salon!

It has been a while since my last checkup. I had the pleasure of seeing Dr Shaikh. She was very pleasant and as someone who gets anxiety from going to the dentist, this was a very pleasant experience. She talked me through what she was doing and it was just comforting to have someone who can make me feel at ease as they are working on my teeth. I've been here twice now and it was an excellent experience both times. I hope to continue receiving dental services here! The last time I visited, I misjudged my travel times and arrived almost an hour early to my appointment. Ana at the front desk was incredibly accommodating. I shared that I was willing to wait, that it was my fault I misjudged the time, but minutes after I sat down, the dental assistant Lana came out and took me in for my cleaning. This was absolutely above and beyond what they needed to do since I was so early. Thanks for saving me some time that day and for the excellent services!

Excellent, professional services. I called in for an emergency service to take out a wisdom tooth, and the receptionist kindly secured the earliest spot for me. I am a very pain-sensitive person, but Dr. Stec was very professional. The process was quick and rather painless. Keysha the front desk, Lana the dental assistant, the lady who did my the panel scanning, and the lady who instructed me on post-surgery treatment were all kind, friendly, and helpful. After I received two different treatment approaches from two different periodontists, I sought a consultation with a faculty practitioner at University of Illinois Dental School to get more information. That consultation finally led me to Dr. Reddy, who clearly explained to me why he recommends the treatment I'll now be receiving with him. He is saving me thousands (no exaggeration) of dollars, though that's not his goal: his primary goal is my health. I am so glad I patiently sought out additional opinions and grateful I finally found Dr. Reddy. All the staff at the Dental Salon were professional and warm. I highly recommend.

This place is a Godsend! I had an amazing experience with my deep cleaning and they made me so comfortable. I had all my questions answered and even had great conversations about hobbies 🎮 we shared! Best dental visit I’ve ever had, from the moment I walked in Meena was so welcoming and friendly. Dr. Lavagnolli is every bit of amazing, her attention to detail and service was impeccable. She was so personable which made me feel like she cared and I wasn’t just another number. Krystal was awesome as well, she was so delicate and made sure I was comfortable throughout my cleaning. I had a great experience with Dr. Khanna at Dental Salon. I was in need of getting a tooth removed and then prepared for an implant. I struggle with anxiety and was definitely nervous leading up to the appointment. Dr Khanna was very patient with me. He talked me through the entire procedure and let me know about our progress. He checked in with me often and really put me at ease. He made the entire experience very manageable. My follow up recovery has also gone quite well. This dental practice is professional, efficient, and friendly. We have come the past couple of years and have found their cash prices very reasonable for preventative care. Everyone I’ve interacted with - front desk, dental assistant, dental hygienist, and Dr. Stec have been very nice and skilled. Historically, I’ve needed multiple bite wings redos, long cleanings, etc from other practices, but staff know what they’re doing here and don’t prolong the process. Parking is abundant, and the location is convenient. We’ll continue to come here.

I went to Dental Salon Schaumburg in need of an emergency service and for help with cosmetic concerns that I was seeking to have addressed, and I have been so pleasantly happy with the care I have received. I've leveraged Dental Salon for normal dental hygiene, but also for Invisalign and extraction of a tooth and subsequent crown. Dr. Khanna has been the best dentist I've experienced...ever! His bedside manners, calm demeanor, ensuring I was comfortable each step along the way and ability to clearly communicate what was happening made the entire experience of getting a tooth extracted and crown installed bearable. Meena at the front desk and Teresa the dental assistant where also fantastic. Someone who has always been phobic about entering a dental office, my experience at Dental Salon completely reversed this sentiment. The entire organization is well run, professional, friendly and always sensitive to patient's condition and circumstances. The practice operates with a value on complete transparency with their clients. All procedures, as well as, fees are discussed from the start and updated as necessary. In other words, there are no surprises and one feels that they are a participant in their dental treatment. My own dentist, Dr. Stec is a superior clinician and engenders complete confidence and trust. Keysha, his dental assistant is professional and warm showing concern for the patient. Teresa, who works the front desk is the first person one encounters and provides an excellent introduction to the practice with her warm and professional disposition. I cannot begin to say enough wonderful things about the Dental Salon team. Not only was Dr. Khanna incredible in taking care of my ~38 year old baby tooth and implant but the entire team there was amazing! Nicole was so nice and super helpful with getting all my insurance sorted out in a very quick turn around. I also cannot say enough about how Denise kept me informed in the whole process and really made me feel beyond comfortable! My husband and I both go here and we have had a very busy dental year and I can't imagine having gone anywhere else! UPDATE 10/7/2022 - I have to go back for a filling replacement this week! (Should add that they did not do the original filling - it was decades old) The whole team was amazing as always! They remembered me personally, were beyond helpful in making me comfortable, getting me in and out quickly so I could get to work, and overall just the best! Denise continues to be amazing and Nicole at the front desk was awesome helping me make sure my insurance covered the bulk of the cost!

From start to finish this was truly an exceptional experience. It’s not every day that I would make that claim about going to the dentist! From check in pleasantries, to a very thorough cleaning, and a dentist herself that is knowledgeable, patient, and super comforting, I feel very lucky to have found this place. The front desk staff that day, Nicole and Teresa, were kind, professional and fun (we talked about people not being able to drive in the rain) and Dr. Groh and her dental assistant Krystal are always fantastic. Specifically, Dr. Groh has fixed a couple of cavities on my front teeth and made me feel better about my overall smile and appearance. This visit was more of the same!

Gentle thorough cleaning. Dr Khanna was great. On future visits he extracted a large busted molar with no problems. He identified the effects of a sleeping disorder I did not know I had. I needed to have a crown replaced. The appointment was made for a date that was convenient for me. I was greeted warmly at the front desk and my insurance information was processed efficiently and I was informed of my out-of-pocket responsibility. I was escorted to the dental chair by the Assistant who exchanged pleasantries and prepared me for the procedure. I was in the dental chair 10 minutes before my scheduled appointment time. Dr. Stec arrived several minutes later, explained the procedure to me in detail and asked if I had any questions. The procedure went extremely well and was completed in 30 minutes. I have been Dr. Stec’s patient for 13 years and I’ll keep coming back.

I love the friendliness and professionalism of this office! It's been a few years since I had a visit, but no one made me feel guilty about that. The staff may have changed, (in terms of new faces) but the professionalism has not! Keysha, and Peter, both helped me feel cared for. Especially Keysha. I was nervous! But, she did an excellent job of doing the X-rays quickly, as well as trying her best to make me as comfortable as she could. Her attention to detail, helped my nerves! Dr. Khanna had to deliver some bad news,...but he did so in a graceful way, giving me options and time to think about what I need to do. He also helped normalize what I was going through.

This is my 3rd or 4th time visiting the North Avenue location. The staff is super attentive and is sensitive to the fact that for some a dental appointment can be an anxious moment. The staff really put me at ease. Dr. Patel is the BEST! Her complementary use of the latest dental techniques along with proven homeopathic remedies (like using tea bags which contain tannins) to promote healing were a novel experience for me.

If your looking for a great dental experience this place is great. I had a procedure a few days ago. All the staff was friendly and knowledgeable of my procedure. The facility is clean and modern. I had a great experience and Dr. Groh was great.

1. Scheduling is usually easy and the receptionists are friendly and efficient. 2. I've been to the Dental Salon at least 3 times and never seen the same doctor (dentist) more than once. Now reading over all the other reviews my experience makes sense. 3. The hygienists stick around longer and I had the same ones do cleanings, but there is also some turnaround. 4. My main issue with the DS is their cleaning service. It takes at most 10 minutes, more like 7. Polishing takes exactly 30 seconds. Efficient? Are you serious?? I'm honestly surprised some of the reviewers are raving about in and out in 15 minutes... Haven't they had cleanings done elsewhere? I miss that cleaned teeth feeling... And this is especially bad when it is your mid-year visit, without a dentist follow-up. Hygienists could also be friendlier, though it is definitely very secondary to the actual cleaning quality.

Dr. « Al » as he is known is the best dentist I’ve had (I’m 55 and care for my teeth) and I’m thrilled with Dental Salon. He worked on a super tough root canal in which I had to return many times due me waiting far too long to get it done. It was one that most dentists would just yank and implant. Not him. Three months later - it is stronger than its been in years and it feels great. He did a front tooth filling that looks so natural I cannot believe it. He does not suggest anything needless - as other dentists have. Go to him.

This place is wonderful! Dr. khanna is the best dentist I have ever had. He's very compassionate and mindful. I had tons of work that needed to be done he made me feel reassured the entire time and was able to save one of my teeth that I thought I had to have removed. The front desk staff are all wonderful. Yuri is great! The dental hygenists are also fantastic. Additionally, as transgender person I felt very seen and considered. They asked my pronouns and consistently have been great about it. I highly recommend them!

The Dental Salon is very professional and visiting them during the stay-at-home order they have been adhering to strict protocol for safety of staff and patients. I feel that my care has been thorough. My first exam there was of the best I had in years! My providers have been friendly and knowledgeable. Only one thing I would note: my last provider left the practice and I wasn’t informed before my next visit that I would see someone else. To me it’s not a big deal and I was very happy with my new clinician but it just would have been nice to be informed that I was going to see a new clinician. Overall I’m very happy with the Dental Salon and am glad that my friend referred me!

Dr. Khanna is amazing! As long as he works here, I will be going to see him at Dental Salon for my teeth! After my previous dentist completely closed their doors with no warning, I was extremely hesitant when trying to find a new dentist in Chicago. I found Dental Salon through my insurance, and it seemed to have the best reviews. It did not disappoint! The receptionist discussed my options and was kind and courteous while I babbled anxiously about my concerns for my teeth. He explained I could choose an emergency visit (get in ASAP) or wait for the one I scheduled, and I ended up waiting. Then, the practice sends a Google questionnaire to your email, asking you questions about your past dental experiences, particularly any traumatic or negative experiences. I went into depth on this, and Dr. Khanna read my responses and asked me about them. He clearly explained what he was doing, the purpose of the different tools/cleaning methods, and would switch to a manual tool when I experienced (unavoidable) pain because of the plaque build up. Both he and his assistant were fantastic, comforting, and answered all my questions. I'm very comfortable with this choice, and I've convinced my roommate to check them out next!

On Dec. 1, 2022, I met with Dr. Khanna at Dental Salon for a crown that I had fractured 2 weeks prior. Dr. Khanna and his assistant worked flawlessly as my tooth was fitted, xrayed, and cemented in place. Dr. Khanna answered all my questions with a smile and I was finished in 20 minutes. Unusual for someone to admit that he enjoyed his dental appointment, but I did. Thanks to Dr. Khanna and his assistant.

I visited Chicago Dental Salon for a last minute visit after chipping a tooth over the weekend, simply because they were available to see me sooner than my normal dentist. I am beyond pleased with my visit and am going to make them my primary dentist going forward. The building is easy to find, clean and brightly lit. I only waited about 5-10 min after arriving to be brought back to my room, where I explained what happened to Dr. Khanna. From then on he explained the situation (needed to be fitted for a crown), the procedure and how long it would take. They were also able to do it on the spot, which is really helpful as I was traveling in the coming days. Every step of the way I was explained what was happening, which really goes a long way in settling nerves. Dr. Khanna constantly checked in to see if I was in pain (I never was, just minor cold sensitivity in which I was given more anesthesia). The process was quick, painless and easy, and I couldn’t be more thankful for that! Would recommend this dentist to anyone!

One thing I like the at Dental Salon are the technicians, like Teresa and the two Black women that I forgot to ask their names. It is good to see some diversity in a dentist practice and professionalism. However, I had a good dentist Dr. Dallas who would listen and explain the procedures that unfortunately left the practice. Last Saturday, I had the displeasure to have Dr. Stec as my dentist. I was trying to explain him my pain and asking questions, explaining what I was experiencing, giving suggestions and he was laughing, literally mocking at me. Very disrespectful with little patience to listen to the patient. It was enforcing his ideas with force in how I should floss my teeth without any gentleness. Some people should never be a dentist.

I had a dental emergency while visiting Chicago for the day on a weekend. I dialed over twenty places and none was open or has availability. I was surprised to be able to get a same day appointment two hours after my call at this place. The office is clean and sleek and the doctor and staff were super professional. I got two wisdom teeth pulled on the spot and the copay was way cheaper than a lower range price I would pay in New York. The doctor personally followed up with me a few days later. I would use them as my dentist if I ever live in Chicago.

Doctor and techs were great. Assessed my issue quickly. I was 7 minutes late but with parking 15 because I was new to the area and office and couldn’t find a space. Female receptionist was completely understanding when I called to say I was running behind and trying to find parking. She kindly said she’d let the doctor know. However as soon as I hung up I received a call from a male receptionist who informed me I was 12 minutes late (while I was trying to park). He then proceeded upon my arrival to let me know I couldn’t be seen in the future if I am 10 minutes late. Obvi! As if I would try to make a habit of being late. I understand the 10 minute rule from school and didn’t need to be reminded of it while I’m rushing in in pain from a tooth that fell out. Perhaps just put it in writing or inform me post my appointment in the future.

I’ve been going to Dental Salon for over 6 months and absolutely love Dr. Rutu Patel. I can’t say enough good things about her. She is professional, knowledgeable and genuinely cares about her patients. I have a lot of sensitivity due to a receding gum line so getting a normal teeth cleaning is extremely painful for me. Dr. Patel used “old school” instruments on me to minimize the pain. It took a little longer to get the job done compared to the newer instruments but for the first time in over a decade, I experienced a nearly painless cleaning. At my second cleaning, she was able to smooth out a chipped front tooth for me in just minutes. Her careful approach led to minimal enamel loss and the results were aesthetically on point. The receptionist also left a good impression with her cheerful personality and knowledgeable answers. Lastly, their office hours can’t be beat. They’re open 7 days a week with late appointments available.

Update 8.19.20: great service I’ve been a patient of the Dental Salon for nearly 2 years now and can't imagine going anywhere else. I haven't needed any other work besides semi annual cleanings so I can't speak to dental work beyond that. I take care of my teeth daily and get regular cleanings and exams to avoid more intense dental work. Everyone has been very warm in person and professional over email and phone calls. Most recently my appointment was with Jayme the hygienist and Dr. Dallas. Jayme was very warm and was great about telling me what she's doing. I had a change in my insurance between appointments that I had completely forgotten about. They very politely contacted me well in advance of my appointment to straighten that out. Email was answered very promptly to reschedule my appointment. What first brought me in was their availability for appointments. I can get early morning weekend appointments or late evening appointments without a problem to fit my schedule.

Dr. Khanna has done great work restoring my teeth. I had to get multiple crowns, root canals and an implant. He is very patient and explains all necessary steps, even when it took me forever to decide on the shade for my crown. He provided multiple options until it was perfect. Highly recommended.

Dental Salon has a wonderful atmosphere. Very clean, modern office with what looks like up-to-date equipment. Dentists and assistants are very friendly, I like that the dentists have a specific hygienist as it keeps care consistent. The receptionists are typically very friendly and upbeat. Unfortunately, it seems like every time I have an appointment I am checked in by Theresa who often lacks the ability to speak professionally to patients. It may very well be Dental Salon's policy to take balance's upfront, but I found it rather irritating the way it was handled the day of my visit. My appointment was scheduled far in advance, and there was plenty of time to have called and informed me of a balance on my account, and to advice me that the payment would need to be paid prior to my visit. So imagine to my surprise as I'm standing at the front desk and being told I wouldn't be able to be seen unless the balance was paid?? I of course paid the balance, and then also needed to pay upfront for a night guard that seemed odd to be paying for in advance as well. I asked why I wouldn't be paying for it when it came in, and again, apparently this was protocol. Ok. So many variables with that scenario came to mind, I'm paying for something upfront, that (a) might not fit when it comes in and may need adjusting or may need to be sent back, or (b) my treatment plan might change. What do you know, scenario "b" happened, and my treatment plan changed, and after my appointment when I was checking out I was told the difference I would have been owed was now going to go to a "credit" to my account for future services. Professionalism, and informed communication are key. It's the way you approach people, and how you deliver information. Theresa also managed to cleverly remind me about an insurance issue I had at my previous visit, I didn't need a reminder I was well aware of my insurance issue, but it was the way in which she addressed it. Moving forward I will not be checked in/out by Theresa, I left my appointment in a far better mood than when I had arrived. Overall, Dental Salon is a great office for just about any kind of treatment.

I like all the staff at the dental salon. Kind and consideration from front desk staff, dental tech who does initial cleaning and dentist as well. My concern is with how quickly they do the work. Dr Patel is a sweetheart but didn’t even check my posterior molars with their metal tools to check for softness or cavities. She just eyeballed them. Everything seems rushed during the appointment and it makes me question quality of work. I also went there 6 months ago and was told I had a cavity. When I scheduled another appointment for the cavity to be taken care of, it was Dr. Patel who greeted me. She stated I had no cavities and the previous dentist I had seen was fired for over-diagnosing and trying to make money from more procedures?! I should’ve left after that. Will not be coming back 🧐

The staff is very nice and my favorite thing about the hygienists and dentists is how they teach new cleaning techniques or explain specific procedures. I’ve gone to Dental Salon for 10+ Years. I appreciate how when I’m there I’m treated like an old friend and not a number on a file. The staff are all extremely friendly and they take their time with me. At most you may wait 5-10 min in the lobby before being taken into a room as they are a well oiled machine. Another difference from other dentists I’ve tried in the past is they don't try to up sell me when I’m there (e.g., ”you could use Invisalign” or ”Have you considered teeth whiting”). The Dental Salon is where my wife and son also go now! I recommend them for any dental needs but even if you try them out for a cleaning, I’m sure you’ll have the same 5 star experience.

It seems to me that service has begun to go downhill at the Dental Salon. First of all scheduling an appointment has become more difficult. It seems flexibility and availability is not what it used to be given they are open 7 days a week. My cleaning left much to be desired. My last 2 cleanings were done by the dentist and not a hygienist. That shouldn’t be a bad thing I suppose, but this time my cleaning felt rushed and left much to be desired. I felt like my cleaning was not thorough. I also felt like some steps were missing. For example, my gum sensitivity was not tested. I don’t know...like I said it felt rushed and as if shortcuts were taken.

Another Dentist stepped in and agreed to see me so I wouldnt have to wait, which the switch up was fine with me. I didnt want to wait and wear my mask that fogs up my glasses longer than needed. My cleaning was fast and pain free! Covid-19: The building has a limit of t 2 people in the elevator at one time. There is hand sanitizer right outside of the elevators. I felt like the offices were clean there was an abundance of hand sanitizer available inside Dental Salon. There was a face guards/shield put up at the check-in/checkout desk. I felt safe. I needed, and received, A LOT of work. From beginning to end, it was a rather comfortable experience. Dr Dallas was very good about explaining everything that he planned to do, and also when anything unexpected (good and not so good) popped up. With all the work that I had done I was expected quite a bit of pain. Outside of one time, the pain was much less than I expected. From the front desk staff, to the assistants, hygienists, and dentists at both locations, I have been very pleased, and would highly recommend their service. Not only that, but the prices of their was much more affordable than all the other dentists that I priced out. The crowns alone were half the cost, but the exact same material, as every other dentist I tried. The main reason I finally acted on getting my work done was because their price was so affordable as compared to what I expected to pay. Never did I have to pay for last minute rescheduling due to work or child care issues. They always were polite, courteous, and friendly. On top of that, their hours are awesome. 7 days a week, 8-8 during the week, and 8-6 on weekends. Where are you going to beat those hours? See for yourself. But I would not hesitate to go back for future work. Note, 95% of my work was done in the Schaumburg office.

It was first time being at this office. Receptionist was very polite and courteous. I sat in the room for over an hour waiting for Dr. Khanna. My teeth were not fully examined and i specifically came in to check on one tooth but that's besides the point. Dr. Khanna didn't bother to say "lets see what teeth we can fix for now. Instead Dr. Khanna insisted on implants for two of my teeth and that's that! I've read alot of the reviews and i can see the dentist in the office want to right all the time and sound kind of hostile about the comments being left behind. My experience so far has been okay. My main visitation reason was for a root canal. I'm not a fan of visiting the dentist, but my endodontist, Dr. Al-Sabek, made the whole process great! The whole experience went by quickly and was fun because he made me be an active participant in the process. He made sure I was comfortable through out the whole process (made sure the anesthesia was good, made sure my mouth didn't ache from being open for so long) and he even cracked jokes throughout to ease my nervousness. All in all, I definitely recommend visiting the dental salon for your root canal so that Dr. Al-Sabek is your endodontist. I'll be going back soon, and while I'm not excited at the prospect of my teeth being drilled at, I know that the whole process will be painless and smooth because he'll be the one doing the work. He is only there on Saturdays btw!

When she saw that I was uncomfortable she she had asked me if I needed a break she saw that my shoulder was bothering me from laying on the chair and asked me where it was sore and massaged it for several seconds until the pain had subsided so that we could then continue I'm very pleased that I was able to have her as my dentist today . Her assistant seem to be lost during the entire process not knowing exactly which tooth was going to be worked on today and also seem to be confused with the tools and methods that are used when prepping a tooth for a crown .

She could not have been more expertly understanding and accommodating. The hygienist got her teeth cleaned with a minimum of tears, even after they had to take an extra x-ray. Ignore the haters; don't be so quick to judge. Sometimes a business really does just have good reviews. The folks at the Dental Salon e-mailed after an appointment and requested that I write a review. I plan to put one on Yelp as well. I've been to the Dental Salon now for the past two years and referred several friends there. The spa-like atmosphere puts me at ease, and there's nice music playing. And the hours are UNBEATABLE — I LOVE not having to stress out about taking a half day just so I can get my teeth cleaned. Don't get me wrong: It's still the dentist. And I hate the dentist. Even though I've obsessively taken care of my teeth since I was a little kid. But it turns out the obsessive dental care I'd been doing actually was more harmful than good. And if you have gum inflammation, you get a root scaling and planing. Which is just as awful as it sounds. (Google it.) My dental hygienist, Favi, made the whole process as painless as possible. She's quick and thorough and sweetly conversational, and she finally convinced me after 26 years how important flossing and really good brushing is. Miracle of miracles. They follow up after every appointment to see how everything went and help you schedule your appointment online. I was skeptical about Dental Salon at first, too, but they made a believer out of me.

Dr. Moorad and Katrina (the office manager) were amazing from beginning to end. I received all the information about my work and the costs up front and then received personalized phone calls and/or email follow ups from both Dr. Moorad and Katrina after every visit. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs a decent amount of work and are unsure about the dentist. Dr. Moorad is informative and fast, while Katrina makes you feel excited about the work you are completing and is always readily available for any questions you may have. This place is like a bright shiny bally's gym of dentistry. A lot of moving and smiling going on. It's a sign of the times though... I got some of the tooth whitening stuff and it was okay. So far...my root canal with dr al sabek and his assistant lakeshya was wonderful...this was more complicated but it's done with no discomfort to me at all...they truly make a team and compliment each other well.. dr sabek tries to use a little humor to relax you..but truthfully..he is serious professional and very good at what he does! I will be returning to dr Kim for further work..so far he has been super in communicating the plan to me...So sad the crown has to be refitted..I think mainly due to a mfg. Misfit...however I'm glad I made it into for the cleaning and that dr Steven's honestly a cknowledged the sensitivity in that new crown was due to that mfg error and that the office is standing by the work..will later review after 2nd crown...thank you dr Stephen's! Glide luck...and the hygenist was great and asst. Too.
