Once again I love my Dentist office!! Alcan is top notch. I got a shot today and felt no needle!! Never happened before. The doctors and hygienists are always so kind and attentive. The front end gals are always charming and polite. I would recommend this business to anyone that asks. I would name names but they are all great. 5 stars but I wish I could give more.

Alcan Family Dental is fantastic. The front desk staff is friendly and efficient, always returning calls promptly. The dental hygienist is thorough yet gentle and always remembers that my bottom front teeth are sensitive. She numbs them immediately so I don’t have to feel any pain. Before going to Alcan I had not been to the dentist in a while and subsequently, I had a few cavities. The dentist filled them and the entire process what quick and pain-free. In addition, it was relatively affordable for dental work. Alcan Family Dental gets an A+ from me!!

So I had some chipping and wear on my front teeth. Dr. Brett Lopez gave me a thorough consultation. He then fixed the issue on the spot without rescheduling. I walked out with perfect front teeth in an hour. The staff was professional and kind. I was very impressed. I had held off for some time thinking it would have been much more invasive. Wish I would have done it sooner. I will be back for a cleaning in two weeks.

Dr. Hyer, Jackson, Della, and the rest of his staff are professional, personable, and courteous.. needed my wisdom teeth and some other infected teeth removed and he did a wonderful job.. he was very direct about my problems that another practice wasn't and I appreciate his honesty and ability to be no nonsense without being rude.. highly recommend.. WoW! AWESOMENESS Dental office!!! Not Only is the office staff PHENOMENAL, ALL the dentist are & the male hygienist is OUT OF THIS WORLD!! Friendly staff (for the most part), and clean facilities. The only reason for the 3 stars is that there are some pretty significant problems with communication between staff and also with their patients. Otherwise, it was overall a really positive experience.

I went in on a Saturday for a dental emergency. The wait time for a walk in wasn't too long and the staff was great. They were very tentative while I was waiting and Felix specifically was great. He was extremely polite and informative. Dr. Sean was great. My visit was short and sweet. The room was kind of small I was afraid to move too much but the staff was great and I felt right at home. If they were in my preferred provider network I would definitely switch to them.

The staff is super friendly, and scheduling has been a breeze even with my crazy schedule. Last minute appointment time changes (Friday evening for a Monday appointment) were no problem. Liz and Dr. Birmingham are awesome and hilarious. They were super attentive to my needs throughout my treatment process, and very kind while taking care of my teeth. I would definitely, and have, recommend them to family and friends.

On every appointment I’ve had, I would like to say Thank you up here to Miss Angelica for greeting me every time with a beautiful smile and treating me good by asking how am I doing so far! She’s really good at her job, and I already know when she’s busy I would not like to bother her, otherwise I’ll be giving her more headaches. My dental assistant Ms. Gorgeous Jay is also the best and I like her. She gave me advice about my school which make her the best! These folks are exceptional. 10 out of 10. They have worked with me on a number of things and have a very sincere understanding of peoples needs and insurance issues etc., etc. The staff is so warm, I love the ladies in the front office and in billing - it is so fun to chat with them. The office manager is extremely helpful, the hygienist and assistants are really great too. I see Dr. Laudon who is also really warm and understanding, and I genuinely feel like he cares for his patients. I highly recommend!

Awesome staff. I broke a tooth on a Thursday afternoon. Called Alcan Dental Group. They were able to see me the next morning. Due to some technical problems the Lab that was going to fix my tooth did not pick it up from them. They were able to do a temporary fix so that I wouldn't have to go the weekend with a broken tooth. I just don't fit the part. I like a nice smile. Thank you to all the staff. Back to smiling again.

I had a full on tooth infection that needed a root canal and antibiotics. I called and they had me in within 1 hour. They were fast, friendly and accommodated my needs. I do not have insurance and they were the only place in town willing to do a payment plan. Dr Scott laudon is absolutely amazing. Liz my dental assistant was my rock and the only reason I got through this awful ordeal. This dental practice is by far the best I have ever been to. I am myself an LPN so I have pretty high standards. Would highly recommend this place to all ages and degrees of dental issues.

Everyone is extremely polite in this office. I had to change my appointment for a cleaning 2 times, and no one got mad . They were courteous and accommodating and totally understanding!!!! My hygienist, Trevor made my cleaning a very pleasant experience ! He explains everything and let’s you know when you’re almost finished! He also distracts you with interesting and personal conversation , so the time passes quickly! He was thorough and professional. Dr Birmingham is the same way ... polite, personable and explains what is best and most sensible for your mouth AND your budget! I respect him so much for this. I went in for a root canal and I was shocked at how quick I was in and out of the chair. Pain free with a local anesthesia. Dr. Laudon was excellent, gentle and kind. I will definitely tell everyone about my experience and I won't dread going back. I was pleasantly surprised, staff was also excellent. Insurance savvy and billed everything for me.

I highly recommend Alcan Dental. I have been going there for years and have seen several of the hygienists and dentists. Dr. Birmingham has been my primary dentist and I feel completely confident in his care. He is also great at putting me at ease, regardless of the dental procedure. I have seen Dr. Laudon as well and I am not surprised he has a successful Dental practice. During my last visit I mentioned to Tiffany that dental x-rays are always painful for me because of my mandibular tori, and she took special care to make the x-rays painless. I also had a cleaning and wish I recalled my hygienist's name. I have fallen asleep the last two times he has cleaned my teeth. He's that good. I'd highly recommend Alcan Dental Group for anyone who wants great dental care.

Everyone was courteous and friendly. Explained the procedures well. My teeth were cleaned, x-rays done, and exam by dentist. This was my first visit as new patient. My only concern was the length of time. I was not expecting it to take 2 hours. If you make appointment be sure to address time issues

Very Great experience!!! All my life I have been super scared of the dentist and would jump out of the exam chair and leave but the doctor B was understanding and very helpful. Also the assistant didn't get scared when I jumped out of my chair and also calmed me down. I'm definitely going to come back soon.

had some dental work today, the dental hygienist was awesome, she made me feel totally comfortable and used terms that I could understand (your gums are pissed) Have to give to another shout out to the assistant for my root canal\temp crown. I mentioned a band that would be awesome to hear while I was getting gas, and she put it on and talked with me the entire time (totally forget what what her name was), the team was great, even when I almost threw a left hook when the nerve got hit.Sad to say,but I'm looking forward to seeing you again for the crown and other dental work Alcan get's a 5 stars from me Dave

I had to go to Dr. Laudon today for an emergency crown. These guys are so amazing. They got me right in - squeezing me in between other patients. Dr. Laudon numbed me up without an ounce of pain (this is definitely a skill of his). And the crown prep went so smoothly I barely felt a thing. My entire family has been coming here for at least 15 years. My mother was so comfortable here that she used to fall asleep while Dr. Laudon was working on her! LOL I highly recommend Alcan Dental. I have always been pleased with their work and they have the absolutely nicest staff there. Thanks for being such a great support to our family, Dr. Laudon! :)

I'm pretty sure I am in the same boat with everyone else when it comes down to seeing the dentist, down right terrified and would rather pretend our chompers never needed maintenance. So when my tooth started aching last week I was more than reluctant to accept that I needed to see a dentist. New to AK, I found Alcan here on google with the pain driving me to make the call. As soon as Susan picked up the phone I immediately felt like I was being taken care of. It was late on a Saturday and Susan was very kind and had even offered to keep her staff there so I could drive from Whittier for an appointment! The Dr. really took the time to go over my options for my broken molar and offered very reasonable rates. Thank you Susan and Dr. Laudon for extending the invitation to see me on such short notice. It's a relief knowing this welcoming and professional dentistry exist and they'll definitely see me again. Just hopefully not too soon!

I go to Dr. Laudon because he offers a discount for Providence Hospital workers. I moved to Anchorage after nursing school and needed to find a good dentist. I was told about Alcan Dental Group by some co-workers of mine. Dr. Scott Laudon is an awesome dentist if you are looking for one. He's very down to earth and gets the job done. I had a broken tooth awhile back and he told me to come in on the same day. Would have been in a lot of pain if I had to wait and would have been stressful to find another emergency dentist somewhere in Anchorage. The office staff are extremely friendly and are very helpful with payments. I will be going to this dentist for years to come and would recommend them.

Visit on 9/15/16 for an Extraction: Liz and Dr. Laudon were amazing, stellar bed side manner. Liz even shared some of her own dental experiences with me, which truly removed any nervousness I had. I've been to other dentists, who although you came in for one thing, always try to get you to do more than what you went in for (I do have bad teeth, could be part of it, but it's not like I don't know I need more done). Not this place, the work I came in for was the only work discussed. The visit went so quick and smooth, that when Liz was bringing my g/f back to the room afterwards, she thought something might be wrong, nope, just great work done in the wink of an eye. It's clear to me that is the only place I need to go when a dentist is needed, and so should you for that matter.

First off, WOW!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! I can't begin to thank them enough for the hard work that was put in to extracting my top row of teeth! (what we're left and in rough shape) The Dentist took every precaution to make sure I felt no pain, stopping, waiting to make sure anytime I moved, I was alright and giving a moment anytime I needed the fluid cleared, of course with his assistant's help! Second, I'd like to thank the kind staff for doing everything within they're power to make sure I was looked after and taken care of completely. I'd also like to add that the young woman (you know who you are ma'am) whom offered the assistance to the dentist was truly a fantastic person, she just got "my weird dry humor" and in all honesty I rambled . . .alot. Hell can you blame a young man for being a smidge bit worried for what was about to unfold?! Haha But seriously, she had me laughing and she even brought me the last cup of coffee I was going to have in awhile! I myself am a young man like many other women and men that deal with PTSD and so Im a little skiddish with new people, but after finding out about my new dentist being a fellow veteran and receiveing true genuine kindness that was bestown to me throughout my visit, there is absolutely no question about me possibly suggesting them, let alone me coming back for a follow up. We were a first time, walk in, and were able to be seen immediately. A big thanks to Lauren at the front desk for her dillegency of getting both of my children seen, one for emergency treatment and both children for multiple procedures. Lauren works hard to make sure that you can be seen as soon as possible. Our CDL's both Mary and Abigail were exceptional, compassionate, and professional. Both children left here feeling well taken care of. Our Doctor was Mark Birmingham, D.D.S was quick as lightning as in no down time. He has fabulous humor, (perfect for aiding children when a little distraction is appreciated). Very thorough, professional, knowledgeable, and extremely gental with children. Alcan Dental Group will take care of you and your families needs. They are well staffed, extremely clean, and have a calming atmosphere. Growing up I had a few bad experiences going to the dentist, but after coming here for my toothache while working in Anchorage, it made me feel better about the dentist. Scott and his staff were awesome and made me feel fear free. I did not know what was going on with my tooth and I hate having pain in my mouth. After talking with Scott he examined the tooth to see if there was anything serious going on. Turns out that I had a cavity that needed to be filled. Just having this experience has helped me get over the fear of going to the dentist. I felt no pain and they made sure I felt comfortable the whole time. I will go to this dentist from now on.

Our family had visited Alcan Dental twice for emergency services in April for adult issues. Dr. Laudon, was the dentist for both appointments. We greatly appreciated his skill and talent. Recently we had our teenage daughter seen at Alcan. This visit we were scheduled with another dentist. Although we received the same exceptional quality of care we had questions of the treatment plan offered. We sought a second option. We chose to have the procedure done there. However we were delighted as well as surprised to be contacted by Susan from Alcan Dental recently. Susan telephoned to ensure our daughter found treatment. Most remarkably was the sincerity of Susan, representing Dr. Laudon, to ensure communication for our daughters well being. Susan generously listened to our experience at Alcan.. Susan honestly invested herself gathering information to better understand what occurred. We did not agree with the evaluation or treatment action plan presented originally from Alcan Dental (Not recommended by Dr. Laudon). Yet Alcan's attention, the willingness to have dialogue to better everyone's involvement in overall dental work is outstanding. I certainly have trust and respect for their practice. We would return.
