I have been coming to Pole Position for a little over a year now and I absolutely love it! All of the instructors are kind, encouraging, and patient. There are classes for all levels of pole, a beginner bootcamp to teach the basics, and other fun classes like chair dance and stretch that will help you become more fit, whether you pole dance or not. They also offer private lessons for people who prefer one-on-one dynamics. I went to a pole lesson at another facility many years ago and felt extremely discouraged and like I could never do pole. Last year I decided to give it one more try and the difference in my experience was mind blowing! Anyone, ANYONE, can be a pole dancer. You'll never feel more beautiful or confident than when you're on a pole, even if you're totally not getting the move right Pole Position also has an incredible community. Everyone is so warm and supportive, both instructors and students alike. I'm at the studio anywhere from two to four times a week now, and I can't imagine ever not taking classes here. Just try it, you won't regret it! <3

I signed up for a beginner workshop 3 years ago and instantly fell in love with Taylor, the owner, the studio, and all the amazing students. Not only are classes at Pole Position a great workout, but you FEEL better when you leave from all the love and support you receive from the teachers and students. Teachers are knowledgeable, kind, patient, and focus on safety and technique first and foremost.

The instructors pay close attention to every student giving detailed instruction on how to complete every move. It literally becomes like a pole dance family. I drive about 50 minutes to get to the studio from my house and it is so worth it.

I started my pole dancing journey at Pole Position Studio in November 2018 and have loved every single class I have ever taken with any of the instructors—they are welcoming and supportive; clear with instructions; provide alternatives to various moves since even if a group of polers are at the same level (1, 2, 3, or 4), we are at varying stages and not everyone can do everything; and always want you to enjoy class while also learning something new and helping you to build your way up to the next level! The studio is clean and has lockers for us to store our belongings, you can purchase water, grip, or pole apparel (if you’ve forgotten yours, which I’ve done on more than one occasion!). Most of the classes I have taken over the past few years have been with Taylor (the owner) or Ashley. I have been able to build up from Beginner (Level 1) to taking Level 2/3 classes on Spin and Static and going at a pace that works for my body and my schedule! I love that Taylor decorates for the holidays and events—my favorite were the Halloween decorations—and holds pole parties and showcases for any of us to attend or perform in and share our pole skills! I love the positive atmosphere of the classes which is built both by the instructors and other students (many of whom are regulars) and the pole community that has grown through this studio. Over the summer I moved to Brooklyn, but no other studio can compare to Pole Position Studio and I drive up to Westchester every week just so I can take pole dancing classes here.

Pole Position is a great studio if you’re just starting your pole journey or have been pole dancing for some time. They offer so many classes, and private lessons if you want to work on something specific. I’ve been at Pole Position for almost 2 years and there’s NOOOO other studio like it! All the instructors are welcoming, friendly and super encouraging... they really make sure your attempting new moves safely so you don’t injury yourself. Everyone always gives off positive energy, and literally makes going there the best part of my day. The studio it’s self is very clean which is extremely important to me with the current pandemic we are facing. The location is great because almost any type of food your in the mood for is within walking distance.

This place is awesome, I took the intro to pole workshop once and I fell in love with pole dancing. I started taking classes months ago and had no regrets at all. Taylor is very talented and knowledgeable. She teaches step by step how to do it and encourages you to do better every single class. I started because I wanted a different type of workout, strength, and to gain self confidence ; pole dancing gave me that and even pass all my expectations. The classes have such a good atmosphere, everyone has good energy . They all are friendly and supportive. In few words I love this place :)

I have nothing but great things to say about this studio! Taylor (the business owner) makes every class fun, challenging and is always willing to help you with whatever your having difficulty with. Taylor helps to motivate you by cheering you on and will cater dance moves to what your body is capable of. I couldn't ask for a better teacher for starting my pole journey. I have personally taken beginner pole classes as well as stretch classes, however there are a variety of classes available - catering from beginners to veterans, so there is a class for everyone. I recommend the stretch classes if you’re working on your flexibility / mobility (shout out to Ashley and Danielle -- you guys rock!). The studio is always clean and has air conditioning for those hot summer pole days. Fresh / clean towels are always provided to you if you happen to get sweaty during class. There is also a changing / locker room for you to store your belongings during class. Taylor is always updating the studio/locker area regularly to provide a pristine and elegant environment – love the new lights in the locker room! Every student I've met has been warm and welcoming (appreciated as a male in a predominately female space). It's common for your classmates to cheer you on after nailing a move! My total experience with the studio has been great and I would recommend this place to anyone interested in pole!

I have been dancing at Pole Position for months now and I absolutely love everything about it!! I was a bit nervous stepping into my first class but Taylor (owner and instructor) was incredible - her encouragement and positivity calmed my nerves and made me feel comfortable trying something out of my box! Since then I’ve taken several different classes with different instructors and have been met with the same experience. All are knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and supportive, and there is plenty of individualized attention and modification to serve you where you're at in your dance journey. Other things to note - the studio is always clean, parking is easy (municipal lot right around the corner), other students are friendly, and the atmosphere definitely lends itself to freedom of expression, feeling safe to try new things, and having fun. So happy I found this place!!!

I can't say enough positive things about Pole Position. Going to classes there has helped my strength and boosted my confidence. All the teachers are different but have such great and varied knowledge. I love how they are able to modify things to match everyone's abilities. Taylor, the owner, is an amazing dancer and as a teacher, has the perfect balance of tough but encouraging. The studio overall has a very positive vibe. The students and teachers cheer each other on and celebrate each other's accomplishments. As someone with no dance background, I am always made to feel comfortable and welcome. Anyone who's on the fence about trying pole should definitely come here!

WHAT A GREAT EXPERIENCE !! Taking my first class here was great, very entertaining as well as motivating experience. The dance instructor was radiating, positive energy and was very supportive of the beginner class. She made sure that each student was at least taking something away from the class and never made us (well at least me) feel left out. Absolutely loved my experience at Pole Position! Walking in as a complete newbie I was a little nervous but that quickly changed. I worried I’d look/feel awkward in such a new environment but the students/dancers were all so welcoming, kind and encouraging as were the instructors. I took a workshop class with Taylor and let me just say, she achieved the near impossible; I felt completely comfortable and found myself not only trying new things, but having a blast while trying them. I would definitely- without a doubt- recommend going and checking out Pole Position Dance Studio.

I just moved to this area a few months ago and was looking for a new pole studio — so happy I found PolePosition! They are located right in town, the facility is clean and welcoming and the instructors are great! I’ve taken three classes so far with three different instructors (who are all AMAZING dancers) and was blown away by the positive energy, both from them and the students as well. Everyone was very enthusiastic and supportive, which made the classes a lot of fun — definitely recommend!

This studio is the best self care I’ve experienced. I’m a type A personality who’s mind is always racing. Pole position classes are the only time the noise in my head stops and I just live in the moment. It’s a positive and nurturing space. I leave feeling energized, happy and in the best head space. It’s the equivalent of having meditated for an hour. The staff is uplifting, they’re on your team and rooting for you in literally everything! I’ve taken about 10 classes now, I feel sexier, proud, strong, more self assured. I look forward to my classes. Especially between the pandemic and a very difficult personal year, these classes are rejuvenating and cathartic for me.

I can't begin to express how excited I am to be a part of the community of dancers at Pole Position. I don't have a dance background, and yet I was welcomed as if I was already a member of the family. The studio is clean, welcoming, and comfortable, but nothing compares to the friendly environment. The dancers and instructors are so helpful and encouraging, and it is a judgmental-free zone! Everyone comes from different walks of life, so trust me you will fit in. I practically live there now!

I’ve always wanted to try pole dancing, but was very intimidated by it. Taylor(the owner) made it such a fun, funny and comfortable experience taking her classes. She’s very patient and I’m not one to get a move right away so she would teach you each move slowly until you get it. She and the other teachers are so awe inspiring, they make you want to keep coming back to class and this is a girl who lives super far away. Besides pole dancing, I’ve also taken their stretch classes and they’re amazing. It’s definitely challenging, but so beneficial especially since I do a lot of heavy weightlifting and HIIT workouts so I’m always sore and/or stiff on certain areas. I was having problems with my hip and I felt it constantly, but when I took a stretch class that focused on opening the hips- let me tell you , my pain went away and this girl can squat with no stiff hip issues afterwards!! Not only are the instructors wonderful the students are as well! All the ladies and men are so friendly and encouraging. On the first day of class I made friends already! It’s also so nice to hear their experience with pole and stretch and how far they’ve come in such a short amount of time. If it wasn’t due to the distance I would literally go everyday & you’d think I’d look for a pole class somewhere closer to where I live, but because of my experience here I don’t want to and am afraid I won’t find such a great learning and encouraging atmosphere as here. Love this place and I highly recommend you all coming and trying out- you’ll get hooked!

This was an amazing experience for me. It was my first time taking a pole dancing class but Danielle, the instructor, made it very easy to understand the moves. I felt very comfortable to be in a welcoming, judgement-free place. I would highly recommend that people check out this studio, they are excellent!

I love Pole Position. I still remember my first class, when I was sure that my body couldn’t synchronize with my brain and I wouldn’t be able to do pole dancing ever.. lol. Everything seemed to be so difficult . I couldn’t understand where the hands and the legs go. But, Taylor and the other amazing teachers had the patience and knowledge to teach me the right techniques and other secrets, to make it easier and possible. So, after few classes I was able to advance the level and do even pole dance acrobatics. Furthermore, the place is clean and cozy which provides many equipment for the classes. I recommend this studio to all my friends and to anybody who wants to learn real pole dancing and have enjoyable experiences.

This studio is excellent . Even in group classes ,it feels like you are receiving individualized instruction. Taylor starke the studio owner makes sure you feel comfortable from day 1 beginner class . Many people advance on and stay with this amazing studio because of the instructors positive encouraging energy . The quality of instructors is amazingly high -everyone has competed and won awards in pole competitions and it shows! However they do not teach things that the average joe cant attain !! They really really work with YOU AND YOUR BODY . It is a great community .coming in , i didn't expect to feel so connected to one place -but it happened because everyone is so kind . The pole classes are superb and other strengthening classes include stretch and aerial yoga which i suggest beginners and everyone do to get comfortable in the air . The studio space is clean,cool,and spacey with water and towels to dry. Again, every single instructor is so nice and so fabulous . Thank you taylor,ashley,danielle, liz, sam, antoine, and dominique for the excellent , high quality instruction . If you want to WORK your core and arms to be a badass - ashley taylor danielle or dominiques intermediate or danielles spin class If you want to do cool tricks in a hammock or try new things on pole even as a beginner -liz’s pole potential and aerial yoga are great If you want to dance like a beautiful ballerina and try UNIQUE pole moves -antoine is the instructor in spin and invert If you want to get sexy as hell -sams exotic is for you. Beginners are welcome here also !!! Im telling you ,you wont regret it -everyone needs a fun workout /therapy ,and ive found mine for life. I LOVE THIS STUDIO . 💜

Let me tell you how this studio has changed my life. I started this because I was feeling so stuck in my workout routine and life in general and along with horrible self esteem, I decided to change. When I started, I felt so awkward and out of place but every instructor is so warm and welcoming. They work it out with you! Don't be scared off by the stigma that surrounds this activity, the pole dancers I have had the pleasure of meeting and dance with are true athletes that freaking SLAYYYY. I have been coming to this studio for two years I have learned so much, my self confidence has improved, I feel empowered! If you are not totally ready to swing on the pole they also have aerial yoga with Liz I wish it wasn't only on Sundays! or if you're feeling a little sassy try the chair/lap dance class ( Im still waiting to try this class) No matter what class you decide to get I can ensure you when you come here you will be surrounded by amazing people, you will have a great time, and you will get a workout and laugh a little... I am 61 years old and I started pole dancing at this studio four years ago. I am totally addicted. The teachers are so supportive and they attend to every level from beginner to advanced. The students are always supportive of each other, something you would never get in a gym. The thought of going back to a gym scares me. This was an awesome experience. I have gone to many studios to do pole- out of all of the places that I have been to this is the only place that I have actually climbed up the pole! I am very impressed with the instructors teaching ethic and recommend it to anyone who is looking to try something new and different. Just a tip when you park your car in the municipal parking lot make sure to put quarters in the meter even after 6 PM I got a ticket :(

I absolutely love coming to the pole studio, to all the classes I can, whether it be Beginner Pole, Pole'ograohy, Aerial fly gym, and soon Beginner Invert. I did not believe I was able to do half the tricks and body positioning I am able to when I just started... it looked so foreign and by just going to the classes and developing a pole family, the constant support and encouragement is motivating and I never want to stop. Not only is this a constant reminder to never stop dancing and to just feel free in your own body and skin, but it is a serious WORKOUT, not one time have I not left the gym sweaty and so oh so happy. I truly recommend this to anyone who is evwn curious to try- you'll never want to quit. I sure don't.
