My daughters have been a part of Martha Mayer School of Dance for now 12 years. They offer a variety of disciplines for every age level. The choreography the teachers arrange is current and leaves me awe-struck each year after every dance Revue. We couldn't ask for a better studio to send our children. It is not only dance techniques they have learned at this school. They have developed character, confidence, compassion, loyalty, teamwork and friendships that can never be taken away. These traits are more valuable to me than even the dancers they are becoming. Forever grateful to the Directors and teachers that have invested their time, talent, experience and love into this studio and into our kids.

I've seen a negative post regarding Martha Mayer School of Dance from a disgruntled mother of a special needs child. There is a lot more to that story than what she posted. The owners and teachers at MMSOD are wonderful and work with special needs children to the best of their ability. With that said, there are some children who's needs are outside of MMSOD's realm and require more one on one attention. Sometimes it's in the child's best interest to receive training elsewhere. Please consider the source and remember that there are always 2 sides to every story. If you have positive feedback for Martha Mayer School of Dance, please post it and help them retain their good name.

Our daughter Tess, who has down syndrome has been dancing with MMSOD since age 3 and is now 21. She was welcomed and inspired to develop dance steps, balance, posture and grace. She gained confidence as a dancer each year as she grew with support and friendship from the other students and the teachers. Tess graduated from MMSOD 2 years ago, but again was welcomed to return as an assistant teacher to help her continue with her love for dance. We want to say thank you and let MMSOD know how much we appreciate the instruction and support.

Best faculty in the city! Small classes make for great one on one attention from teachers. Revue date always set in stone, second Sunday in June! (Don’t have to worry about week night dance revue.) Beautiful show at Jefferson theatre for performing arts, unlike most at Ponchartrain center.

My daughter loves dancing here. The teachers and staff build her confidence while challenging her to be the best dancer she can be. They honestly do care. ❤

Love this studio! Loved it as a kid and love it as a dance mom. Staff is super friendly and are unbelievably caring towards the kids. Spectacular revue!
