Reviews of Giacobbe Academy Of Dance

The quality of the dance taught by the Giacobbe family is what anyone would want for their child, the best.
There is more than just ballet. Tap , jazz, modern, but it more than styles of dance.
Discipline, pride in one's work, and diversified respect is developed in your child. I wanted my child to have a bigger vision, not just math, English and science, but a true respect for the Arts. Giacobbe delivers, it's worth any drive, it is worth the monies.

My girls have been dancing at Giacobbe sine they were both three years old. It is hands down the best ballet studio in the area. But they do not just offer wonderful classical ballet training. They students are well wounded in tap and jazz as well. The school is affiliated with the Delta Ballet Company, the only semi professional company in the state. The girls are afforded the opportunity to audition for the Nutcracker yearly as well. The only Nutcracker that allows the dancers to perform Symphony. It is a fabulous experience!

My daughter has been attending Giacobbe since she was for the past 7 years. It is a FANTASTIC school. We switched to Giacobbe from another school after only 1 year. The OTHER school (when she was 3) I thought did a relatively decent job (for 3-year-olds) but after I saw what the rest of the more advanced dancers were doing (including the graduates), we pulled her from that school and put her in Giacobbe. I have to say that was the best thing we could have EVER done. As a man, I was blown away by the caliber of dancing Giacobbe put out in their "End of the Year" recital. Although my first dance recital was that one when she was 3, Giacobbe's Academy of Dance recital is beautiful and well put-together. A+++ for Giacobbe!

I went to Giacobbe’s as a child for several years. I still think of the family fondly. I loved my time there with Ms. Maria, Mr. Joseph, Ms. Gwendelle, Toni, Ms. Janice, and the others. I stopped around my junior year of high school. I was working in a lot of local theatre and it was hard to keep up classes 3 days a week, rehearsals every day/night (7 days a week), and school. But every choreographer I worked with commented on my beautiful technique. That was thanks to the Giacobbes. It proved to be money very well spent. After 30 years of not dancing (I’m 50 now) I went back to the adult class. Without them knowing, they commented on my beautiful technique and who taught me. In which I replied, “A wonderful lady named Ms. Maria along with her brother, Mr. Joseph.” It’s nice to be home!

I studied here as a young girl and I loved every second of my classes. I learned under Mrs. Maria Giacobe in the 80's. It was the best fun for any young person that enjoys dance.

This school is amazing. They are very dedicated to making sure you receive the proper training in order to not only be a successful dancer but a successful person. I would recommend them to everyone I know.
