Reviews of Four Seasons Dance Studio
When my wife and I first got engaged we both knew that we wanted our first dance to be more adventurous. We are both pretty musically inclined and my wife is in a couple of dance groups. We wanted our dance to be challenging enough that we both had to work towards learning it (dancing is great team building!). We contacted Rebecca from Four Seasons about 9 months prior to our wedding and scheduled a few lessons with her. It didn’t take long to figure out that we made the right decision. Rebecca was great to work with. She helped us choreograph and learn a dance to the song we selected that was fun, yet challenging, but not so challenging that we couldn’t learn it in the time before the wedding. Rebecca did a lot of the choreography, but still made sure to get our input and make the dance still felt like “us”. In addition to working with us as a couple, she also helped us figure out some dance options to the music we chose for our respective parental dances. We even substituted one of our couple dance lessons so that my mom and I could have a lesson to our music.
When the wedding came and it was time for our first dance as a married couple, we felt prepared. The dance went great and we still receive compliments from our guests on the dance months after the wedding. It was a dance we, and our guests, won’t forget and we owe it to Rebecca’s great instruction. You won’t regret working with her for a minute. We can’t wait to work with her on learning other styles of dance!

Very nice and spacey. If curious about sound proofing between rooms, its perfectly constructed. Bathrooms are nice, a lot of waiting areas to sit. This review is strictly for venue rental, does not describe the actual Dance Services.
I have always had a fear of dancing due to just never having really understood it or given it an honest try. In an effort to face that fear, I came to Four Seasons for a four-hour blues dancing workshop hosted by a local dance collective called Collectively Blue.
I registered for the event ahead of time, which was quite straight forward aside from a simple technical issue, and interaction with the organizer during the process was very positive.
Unfortunately, I arrived late to the workshop, but the organizer quickly and very graciously worked with me to get me up to speed. This small gesture meant a great deal, and really helped to build both my confidence and fundamental skillset. I am not sure how I would have fared without this help.
After I had caught up, I entered into the main group, and we proceeded to go through very basic building blocks to Blues Dancing. The lessons consisted of a demonstration/explanation of the concept or move, followed by practice with a partner (we rotated to a new partner each time). There were all sorts of personal, fun touches as well, such as high fives during rotations, a great deal of humor and socializing, and general comraderie. The instructors, Laney and Eryn, were extremely patient and helpful, and did an excellent job of demonstrating as well as stepping in to help guide us as we applied what they had taught. Overall, the atmosphere and attitude was just... Natural and approachable. My fear/self-conscious evaporated almost instantly, and I found myself grinning like a fool by the end of the workshop, enjoying what little I had been able to learn in such a short period of time.
The space itself was perfect as well; there is a sitting room area immediately upon entering, and then the main studio is comprised of several lounge areas and a large, well maintained floor. There is also a secondary studio in the back, with restrooms in between. The layout and spaced worked very well for the workshop, and I found myself very comfortable and content in the space.
I plan to attend the weekly blues dancing courses taught by this excellent group, and would highly recommend that anyone interested in learning to dance check into the courses taught by this group and/or at this studio (there are many more options for other types of dance as far as I could tell), regardless of skill level or experience.
After doing a bit of research to see what dance lessons were offered in the Minneapolis area my husband and I heard back quickly from Rebecca at Four Seasons. We purchased 4 dance lessons - used two for ourselves, one for myself and my dad, and one for my husband and his mom! Between the 4 of us we have little to no dance experience and minimal to moderate musical ability. Rebecca was an absolute joy to work with and made the process so fun!! She is a natural teacher and navigates beginners very well! She did a great job choreographing a realistic dance for all of us and we had so many compliments after the wedding! We would highly recommend Rebecca and the Four Seasons Dance Studio!
As a fellow dance instructor and event venue owner, i must say that Rebecca (owner of Four Seasons) is a fabulous person to work with. Whether you want to learn to dance, or are looking for a classy place to rent for your private event...you can be assured that you'll be satisified and impressed with Rebecca and the staff at Four Seasons Dance Studio.
There is a pretty amazing swing dance scene here on Monday evenings. The venue itself hosts a small dance floor but it works well for having 30-40 dancers out there at one time. The historic nature of the building is charming too. How often do you get to dance at a place that has an entrance into an alleyway?
My husband and I loved working with Bruce. We hired Bruce at Four Seasons for 4 private lessons to prepare for the first dance at our wedding. We had so much fun! My husband entered the studio very reluctantly at the beginning, and at the last lesson, he was thanking Bruce and saying he had fun and would like to continue taking lessons. Not only was Bruce a great dance instructor, he is also somewhat of a marriage counselor, always listening carefully to what each person needed from the other, restating what was said, and waiting for acknowledgement. It's great to have that skill when teaching couples to dance. We had such a blast and look forward to coming back to Bruce for tango lessons in advance of a trip to Buenos Aires for our honeymoon!
Took a kizomba class. They were so friendly and welcoming. They were patient, and the structure of the class is great. Highly recommend!!!
We have been holding our big Christmas party at the Studio for the last 10 years and cannot imagine going anywhere else. Our guests always compliment us on the beautiful bohemian interior as if we were responsible! It comes with the rental!
With two beautiful areas, we have our disco/ceili/dance in the big room and eating in the small one and everyone is happy.
Bruce and Rebecca are charming and supportive - often helping us set up and clear out at the end of the night. If you are looking for a location that will be remembered long after the event, choose this.
This is an excellent dance studio! They have an broad selection of classes, great instructors and a beautiful, large space. I would highly recommend going there for your next dance experience.
Awesome place, great people. My friends and I went to the starter salsa class followed by the intermediate class followed by dances at 9 pm. It was great.
Nice people. Don is a great instructor.
Very inviting, kid-welcome venue for the Fringe Festival. Bruce is great, he sold me on the show which we loved. Cheers!
I was very impressed with this Studio. It's a lovely space and has a nice relaxed atmosphere. The staff and guests were friendly and inviting.
