Imogene + Willie's flagship store, housed inside an old vintage service station. It's located in a Nashville neighborhood referred as 12 South. It's a unique clothing shop that's worth checking out, even the American Pickers stopped by. They started with the desire to make a perfectly fitting jean...something that just was not available until there quest came to fruition and they began to make perfect jeans for perfectly imperfect bodies. They strive to make the best quality jeans that they can possibly can, to ensure they last long time. It's been the motto since day one. Get one of their T-Shirts a pair of jeans , well the entire. Pack a blanket, grab the kids and join them for a supper and a song.

Unique and fun. They seem to consciously sidestep the fashion of the moment in favor of their own style or "vibe", if you must. My buys: *Flatbill trucker - New Era sports cap meets vintage Americana. *Souvenir tee with the word Nashville printed in reverse, mirror image - one of a kind. *Godspeed tee - Godspeed You! Black Emperor 🎧 *Barton slim drapers, Vidalia denim soft and faded sky blue - felt like I'd found a cheat code for the break-in process. Brandy and company were legends and got me into the fit I was going for. Lastly a pro tip, check out their website before you go shopping to get an idea of what's in stock/sizes. 10/10 store and experience, would recommend to friends.

I wanted to leave this review on the site, as it was an online order, but did not see anywhere to leave reviews for purchases. I have wanted a pair of jeans from here for a long time, and finally bit the bullet and purchased some. I attempted on several occasions to get sizing help through their chat and email, but was never connected with anyone. After no response, I ordered the size that was recommended on the size chart. The jeans were so tight I could barely get them buttoned. I returned them, and ordered one size larger, in a different style. These were so big they were hanging off of me. I understand there will be size variation in styles, but I imagined there would be *some consistency, and did not expect one size to be so tight I could barely button them, and the next size up to be so loose they were hanging off. I had high hopes, as these are on the pricey side, and therefore an investment for most people. I was disappointed in the sizing, lack of customer service, and overall experience.

Cool store and good quality clothing, however customer service could use a bit of work. One employee greeted us which was nice, but when looking for a size of jeans, everyone was too busy talking and on their phones. Oh well, maybe next time. Came in on Sunday around 4:30pm.

Great little clothing store. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. I often have trouble finding jeans that fit the right way, and they took the time to get me to try several different types, made sure they were all fitting properly, listened to what I did or didn't like and guided me to some great options. Very recommended if you're looking for jeans or shirts.

A high end denim store that specializes in somewhat custom jeans. They even decorated the store with three patterns they use to cut the denim for the jeans. They di also have jackets and t-shirts in addition to some accessories. Seems very specialized and very pricey, but I suppose there is no such thing as affordable jeans nowadays. Parking is on street or a paid lot.

Love Imogene + Willie. My wife and I each got an outfit with an extra shirt. Wonderful, friendly and fashionable employees adorn the store. As a denim nerd and former denim salesperson myself, it was a very pleasant store to be in and to talk denim with the employees. The price is definitely worth it if you care about the quality of your clothing. This clothing will outlive any "fast fashion" item. Why buy jeans every year when you can just buy a pair or two and have them last for 10-20 years?

I wish there were more businesses like imogene + willie. I’ve been wearing the same pair of jeans everyday for two years so I have a new mindset about clothing. I save a ton of water because I wash less often and if the value of a pair of jeans is measured by frequency of use and lifespan, these jeans are a better deal than the ones I had before (which were probably unethically manufactured). It’s an expensive place to shop for sure. But that’s because ethical manufacturing costs more. The employees are nice and give so many compliments that it’s hard to walk out of there without a shirt or some socks at least. But I don’t regret any of the purchases I’ve made at imogene and willie. Also, I fell off a longboard last year while wearing my jeans. I went sliding down the asphalt and ripped through two shirts but my jeans were completely fine. It was pretty amazing.

Had my first I&W visit yesterday and was so pleased with the service. The staff worked with me as I tried on several pants until I found the perfect style and size. Free hemming was offered but I decided to keep the length for versatility. These are real jeans—not the stretchy lightweight jeans that lose there shape and hang off you. Think of old school sturdy denim! My parents comfortably hung out on the couch while I tried on. Very cool store.

imogene + willie is the most incredible shop I have ever not been to. I live in Utah and have been desperately searching for great quality clothing that will last. The store has a higher price tag than what some people may be willing to pay but knowing these clothes will last me for years has me confident with every penny I spend. I+W clothing is an investment I feel very comfortable and happy making. I have gotten, jeans, t shirts, the most stunning amazing beautiful perfect jacket, accessories, and even incense from this store and shipping has always been super fast and quality has never disappointed me. I have even needed to make a return when I ordered the wrong size shirt for my boyfriend and they had it exchanged within days which left me able to give him a gift ON his birthday (remember I live in Utah, this is all via mail! They're shipping time is INCREDIBLE). I+W also has the most kind and wonderful staff. Anytime I have a question I am able to email them and get a quick response, sometimes in minutes. I love this brand and can't wait to visit in person when I find myself in TN.

I ordered their “lucky devil” t-shirt and it’s alright. Certainly not worth the price of $68 but a fine t-shirt. The color is more like white that has been dyed in tea, you know like a light beige, not white. And it’s just really nothing special. It would be more appropriate to be priced at 30$. Probably won’t buy from them again. It was shipped quickly though.

Way more than just a cute clothing shop, the staff is impeccable and unbelievably kind! Due to COVID-19 we made an appointment and had a blast. Carrie was extremely attentive, honest, and a pure artist! She made us feel super welcome and at home in this sweet shop! Dylan was also extremely helpful, attentive, and such a kind soul! Great product, Great service, Cool store, Knowledgeable staff. Imogene and Willy is a pretty awesome company. Check out their website, hear their story and you’ll likely fall in love as I did. They make buying jeans like buying a custom suit. I recently had an opportunity to visit the store and was impressed. I've been following them for a few years and I had to pick up a pair of jeans (willy rigid). When they arrived after being hemmed and tapered they were about an inch short. At first I was put off, but after getting in contact with them, Jourdan and Peggy Sue were extremely helpful and helped get my issue resolved as fast as possible. I just got my jeans back today and they are perfect! I’m really looking forward to see how they break in. Even though there was a fumble in our newly formed relationship I feel like they recovered the ball and went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase. I'm happy and you will be too.

I popped in here on a whim while waiting for my table at Frothy, and from the get-go I was greeted kindly by each member of the staff. While I began my browsing venture around the store, I had many questions regarding what dyes they use, their sourcing of fabrics, and "Is this REALLY 'garage-made'?". (Short answer to that question was 'Yes'.) The knowledge and information that was graciously shared with me (especially in the realm of selvedge denim), along with just the simple warmth of this space (y'all CRUSHED the design of your interior; I especially love how you've displayed all the patterns of your denim above your tailor shoppe for your customers to see), was enough to leave me feeling like I had a sincere connection with the store/brand, and the people running it I've been to numerous boutique clothing shops spanning multiple states throughout the country (searching mainly for the highest-quality Japanese and house-made denims), and imogene + wilie stick out mostly for me, just in simple regards to the sincere kindness and unmatched hospitality I experienced while in the store. That piece alone can either "make it or break it" for me in terms of coming back and supporting a brand, and needless to say I'm stoked to come back and purchase some denim (and potentially a waxed jacket), on my next trip around.

I highly recommend getting a pair of these jeans. I was in Nashville for a "Cake" concert, the first stop we made before we even checked in was to Imogene & Willies. My wife has several pairs and she loves them all. Ive always been a Levi type guy but these jeans are like non other. Plus the people working there are no pressure and all about serving and making sure you know all about the offerings they have, not to mention totally cool to get to know. Best known of their Japanese selvedge denim jeans, this salvaged gas station is a great storefront. Service is fantastic; was fitted for my jeans, returned in about a week. Amazing. Friendly staff and they host awesome events occasionally. Must visit if you are a fan of a well-made jean.

My sister and I went shopping yesterday at I+W and had the most wonderful time. This was my 3rd time in the store and the staff is consistently fantastic and the product is one of a kind. They make you feel like family and will take as much time with you as needed to get the perfect fit. Alright I know what some of you are thinking... I have to say this little converted gas station or whatever the hell it used to be is not some harbinger of gentrification because nearly a decade ago I visited Imogene + Willie bought something nice for myself and then walk past a beautiful park and turned right down a dirt road where I found a convenience store that sold my brand of cigarettes. I remember fields, running water, open spaces, and gravel under my feet. Every dollar you spend at this place whether it's many or just a few go toward the overhead of running a small business. I+W is the American dream realized with soul and style. May they outlive me.

I was in Nashville recently on biz with one day on my own to explore the town. I did a little searching on the Internet and found this darling shop. The story behind this converted gas station was so intriguing. It made the list of places to visit. If you're interested at all in some very cool, well-made jeans or possibly some custom-made jeans, you have arrived! I walked out with a pair of jeans that I was able to buy off the rack - totally awesome! On my way out, I asked for a recommendation on a good barbecue spot. Hands down they said Martin's BBQ! I walked over there and had the pleasure of seeing some beautiful homes in some historic neighborhoods!
