From Day 1 she listened to me so well, based on listening to my likes and dislikes she found my dress for me and I would’ve never found it myself!! Words cannot express how amazing the process has been so far at Renee Austin. They made buying a dress seamless and made the whole thing about the bride. We got to celebrate, never pushed me to buy a dress, made me feel on top of the world, etc. I would especially like to give a shout out to Katrina. Having a great consultant can really make the whole process that much better. I didn't feel like she was looking for a commission check. I truly felt like she wanted me to buy the dress I loved and made the whole thing about feeling beautiful on my wedding day. She kept me within budget and really listened to what I have to say. I can't recommend Renee Austin enough!! I visited another bridal shop first, and considered canceling my appointment at Renee Austin because I had already found two dresses I love. I didn't think I would find another dress I loved more... But I am so, so happy I kept the appointment! Renee Austin is an adorable shop with beautiful dresses and truly provides the bridal experience, even during the pandemic (we visited in July 2020). I worked with Eliza and she was incredible. She is so kind and really listened to what I was looking for, and was even patient with me when I realized what I THOUGHT I wanted (long sleeves) wasn't going to cut it in the end. Thank you for providing an incredible experience and a gorgeous dress!

I booked a sample sale appointment at Renee Austin on a whim. I booked the appointment the night before and my family wasn’t able to come with me. I was so nervous shopping on my own. My stylist was Katrina and she knocked it out of the park. She made me feel comfortable and supported. She didn’t hover when I needed time to consider and took plenty of photos of me in the gown so I could send to my family. I walked out of the salon that day with my dress and am so pleased with my decision and the great customer service I received.

This is the only stop you need to make when looking for a dress! I made a day out of looking for my wedding dress and went to three different stores in the area. Renee Austin is simply a step above the rest. They have top-notch customer service plus the most unique dress inventory in the area. If you are looking for an inclusive store with unique dresses that really wants to help you feel like the best version of you, this is your stop. To start, they made my guests and I feel incredibly welcomed (and was the only store to offer champagne, which made this feel extra fun). Eliza was an absolute dream and spent the first 5-10 minutes getting to know us, asking about the wedding, and poking through favorite dresses I had saved on Instagram/Pinterest. She also included one of my bridesmaids (my younger cousin) in the shopping/selection process so she could feel more included. Eliza picked a selection of 5-6 dresses for me to try on and I was blown away with every single one. Each felt unique and like the dress/Eliza had captured a different aspect of me. The other stores I had been to had pretty dresses, but these were just special. Renee Austin clearly prioritizes having a diverse inventory. At other stores I would ask for specific things and was often met with "we don't really have that," but at Renee Austin, they would come back with several alternatives. I also appreciated that there was a variety of sizes to try on. I tried on everything from a size 6 to 22. I'd say about half were too small, the other half too big (so I wasn't only trying on dresses that were too small, which can feel discouraging). In each dress, Eliza did a great job of fitting it so I could get a clear idea of what it would look like in my size. When I couldn't visualize it, she would explain it or pull up pictures of others in the dress so I could really understand what the dress would look like. She also would point out when certain dresses could be customized. This was the only place I went to that offered customizations. After I narrowed it down to 2 dresses, Eliza and some of the other Renee Austin crew stayed late to help me decide which one would be the best for me. This meant trying them on again with all sorts of accessories. It was a blast! It felt more like I was out shopping with friends than with people I had never met. I never felt pressured to close the sale of the dress, only supported. I can never thank them enough for making something that I was so nervous about such a positive experience. It is a memory that my guests and I will truly treasure. Thank you Eliza & the Renee Austin crew! You are one of a kind.

I had the most amazing time during my appointment at Renee Austin’s sample sale. I had been to another bridal salon the day before to get a feel for what I like, and I can’t even compare the two experiences! Even though the salon was busy, Rachel, my consultant, was attentive and fun, and made me feel like a million bucks! Even other consultants walking through the salon would compliment what I was trying on! It was such a fun and friendly atmosphere, and there was such a great variety of styles and sizes in dresses. I wish I could go shopping there all over again, and I will totally recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding dress!

I enjoyed trying on wedding dresses at Renee Austin, I had a really sweet consultant (although I don't remember her name!). I had to bump it down to 3 stars though because they told me that an area of concern would be able to be altered. The boning of the dress was made for someone with a lower natural waist than mine. I was immediately concerned when trying on that it was too high, poking me in the armpits and back, and I knew would be uncomfortable after more than a few minutes of wear. The stylist told me it would be no problem to alter. When I had my alterations done by their highly recommended seamstress, she told me this alteration would be too difficult and would ruin the dress. So... on my wedding day, I was in a lot of pain 2 hours in and basically just wanted to put my pajamas on. It really took the wind out of my bridal sails. I also feel like the staff was touch-and-go as far as friendliness went. I had a few appointments after purchasing the dress (pickup, fitting, and accessory shopping) and the staff working those times was much less warm than when we were actually purchasing the dress. Usually a couple young women chatting at the front desk not being super friendly. I loved the way my dress looked, and the pricing was in line with what the dress costs at other shops, but because of the misinformed advice, I hated wearing it for the duration of my wedding. I would recommend that the consultants do not advise on alterations to avoid disappointment for future clients.

To start, Eliza was fantastic. I cannot sing her praises enough. I came to Renee Austin in late 2019 looking for a wedding dress for October 2020. I wanted Zander in black by Maggie Sottero. It was the sole reason I came to Renee Austin. The shop was clean, organized and the staff was very attentive. I am knocking off one star though. If you cater to plus sized women, I wish that there would be a sample of literally any dress that would fit a plus sized woman. Not to just drape the very small dress over yourself and be told to imagine how it would look. It felt awfully silly especially considering I spent close to $2,300 for a dress that I had to pray looked good. That really killed the experience for me.

HOLY WOW! Where to start: Eliza took AMAZING care of us! From the moment we walked into the store to the moment we left, the experience was excellent. Eliza sat down with me and really listened to what I wanted and where my budget was. She did a wonderful job pulling dresses that were what I was envisioning style and fit wise. I ended up getting the first dress I tried on! (We had been to two different appointments earlier in the day and I thought I'd already found my dress but thankfully I was wrong!) Eliza was professional, honest and SO MUCH FUN. She had so many tricks and tips up her sleeve - she was a dress wizard! She truly made the experience so easy and my ladies raved about her after we left. Get your appointment around a year before your wedding, to give them time to order and then you time to make alterations if needed. Price wasn't unreasonable either!

I had a great time at Renee Austin Wedding! Ondrea listened to my rough ideas/description very carefully and was able to pull many dresses that I liked! I loved the selection of dresses available, even those not in my style were just beautiful. Even though I had a low budget, Ondrea was able to find floor samples for me that were in great condition and fit great too. I thought she offered the perfect assistance (despite COVID limitations!) - she helped me zip and button, clipped the dress, arranged the hem, gave space, fetched a cape for the look, asked good questions (not too many or too few, too) and gave me the perfect amount of time in each dress without rushing or dawdling. She was professional but very kind too and very easy to work with. I had been to two other stores earlier in the day so my shopping party was getting a little tired and cranky by the time we arrived, but everyone cheered up quickly and had great things to say about the experience at Renee Austin Wedding! I was able to call and email with questions and always received helpful answers quickly from all their staff. I'm really happy with the dress I bought from them!! I can't emphasize enough how great Ondrea was and how she really helped me finally feel like I was shopping for a wedding dress.

Whether you are a bargain shopper or looking for the finest gown in Michigan... Renee Austin is where it's at. Made an appointment to try on some wedding dresses. I had a very tight budget of $500. I was very upfront about my price range and wasn't super sure what I wanted in a dress. The young lady who helped me was so patient and kind. Not to mention had all kinds of ideas for me. She brought me several different dresses to try on. I fell in love with one of them, it was my dream dress! Better yet, it was just over $400! So under budget AND what I wanted. My experience was exceptional. Very nice dress shop too. So modern and clean inside. It really makes the experience better in that kind of environment.

This review is incredibly delayed… but better late than never, right?! First of all, I’m a Covid bride. We cancelled 2x and finally rebooked our FINAL wedding. Renee Austin was my second dress shop the first time around, and I had the BEST experience. First of all, the selection is fabulous, so many designers, styles, and sizes, and the women who work at this store are unicorns - all of them! They make you feel so welcome and beautiful, are mindful of budget and don’t push it, and they make it so fun. Fast forward 2 years from when I bought my first dress, and changing our wedding date from May to November, I decided I wanted a new dress. I went back to Renee Austin (solo) and I had the BEST time with Paige. She honestly made my day and was SO helpful!! I walked out THAT DAY with my dream dress in hand, and will be forever grateful to the team at RA, and Paige for her amazing support that day. RA is the cream of the crop when it comes to bridal stores - if you’re even hesitating scheduling an appt, don’t - just DO IT - you won’t regret it! This place was incredible! As soon as I walked in I felt very relaxed. I worked with Mia and she was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I showed her a few pictures of dresses I was looking at and explained my style. She went back and grabbed 4 different dresses that were all perfect at first glance. I’m a size 6 generally, but dresses typically run small and she grabbed a size 10 (which was the size I was wearing at David’s bridal the day before). She helped fit me to each dress and each were absolutely beautiful. I ended up going with the 4th dress I tried on and even walked out of the store with the dress as it was a part of the sample sale. I mentioned how I was looking at veils too, Mia immediately went back and grabbed a PERFECT veil that still showcased the details of the back of my dress. At the end of the appointment we walked out with a dress, earrings and a veil with shoes that were ordered in. Anyone looking for a dress, I highly suggest visiting Renee Austin. The knowledge and care the staff members have is amazing. They really put care into it and listen to what you are looking for.

This dress shop is beyond 5 stars. I've went to a few other places where the service and selection/style of dresses did not compare at all looking back on it. Elisa was the sweetest person that we could have ever worked with. She truly listened to everything I had to say and gave me ideas beyond what I could have imagined. I went into Renee Austin about 6 months ago and had the BEST experience. The girls there are the perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness 😍. I worked with Eliza and she was absolutely incredible. I didn't even have to look at dresses, she did all the work for me (which I wasn't expecting, I'm a pretty picky person and love to browse lol). I literally loved everything she brought into the dressing room. And everything she brought in she kept within my budget and made sure to tell me what the cost was before trying the dress on, which was super nice. This is my first review ever online but I had to write this. Summary: Renee Austin's got good selections at reasonable price, Mia is amazingly sweet and got good eyes. Go here. It was a weekday morning and they weren't so busy. Mia sat down with me and asked what silhouette I liked, my budget, and timeline. She brought several fit and flares and few completely different types just so I can try them on (and know for the rest of my life my dress is the right one lol). The dresses she found for me were just under my budget and in stock so I didn't have to wait months for the designer to make to order (I had less than 4 months.) With tax and alterations considered, the dress I chose ended up being the best choice I could make. The store is clean and neat. There are a lot of dresses but not overwhelmingly where you can't even check what they look like. Wedding dresses look so different off the rack vs on you, and I am glad Mia picked out according to my requests. Other shops tried to sell me the ones over my budget and tried to push the line, hoping I'd fall for that. I'm happy with my choice, thank you Renee Austin Wedding!

Renee Austin was my first (and only) stop in my search for "the dress." I would start this out by saying I'm not the "typical bride." I've never been someone who's really into weddings, but my dress was really important to me. I was able to book my appointment online for the upcoming weekend bright and early on Saturday. The store itself is so cute and chic. It's got such a unique, personal style which was really refreshing and something I really valued in my experience. There were plenty of dresses, but it wasn't overwhelming. They have a great selection of styles that would suit any bride. The woman who helped me was an absolute gem. I would not have found my dress without her. She helped me into every dress, and offered excellent advice along the way. She (and the rest of the staff) really provided the personal touch that is missing at larger bridal stores. I ultimately ended up trying on close to 15 dresses, but it was lucky #3 that I just couldn't get out of my mind. I had such a great experience at Renee Austin, I felt cared for and attended to the entire morning! It was everything I was looking for, I can't wait to pick up my dress!

Awesome dress shop!!! I worked with Katrina, who helped me find a dress I absolutely love and in my budget! There was definitely no pressure to buy a dress the first day I was there, and I ended up coming back a week after my initial appointment to finally purchase my dress. I had THE BEST experience shopping here. I came in with mom having no expectations about what I'd find for a dress - I'd been feeling "meh" on the whole dress thing. We worked with Eliza and right from the get go, she honed in on what I like and would want to try. Just bought my dress here a couple weeks ago and loved the experience of dress shopping here! I enjoyed that I could tell my stylist (I so wish I could remember her name now!!) what I wanted and she would go and pick dresses for me- I had gone three places before Renee Austin and picked out all the dresses I tried on, it was a nice change up in my opinion. I REALLY enjoyed that no one was pushing/pressuring/guilting me into buying a dress and that my stylist gave us some time to be alone- she wasn't sitting/standing with us the WHOLE time like at some other places. Super refreshing! I had tried on about 50-60 dresses by the time I came here. I was worried I would never find a dress but they have a wonderful selection of dresses- I think almost everyone would be able to find their dress here. I had an absolutely WONDERFUL experience at Renee Austin! I had booked my appointment in advance so I had an allotted time slot but never felt rushed. My consultant, Jana, was amazing. She listened to my vision but also recommended other dresses that would look good on my body. One other thing I really liked was that the consultants attention was solely on me during my appointment. She wasn't checking people out at the register or helping other brides at the same time (which I had happen at another salon). When it came down to making the dress decision, I couldn't decide without trying on one more that was at another store. Jana understood and never pressured me into buying the dress right then as some consultants will. So, my group and I drove to the other store, tried on one more dress, and headed straight back to Renee Austin to buy the gown that I fell in love with. Jana welcomed us back and had me try on my dress one more time to take pictures. She even stayed a little late to accommodate us coming back. I cannot say enough about my experience I had at Renee Austin. I know not everyone will find their dream dress there but it's definitely worth making an appointment. You won't be disappointed with the service!

Eliza made my day so special! I went into Renee Austin Wedding with a budget and no clue about what kind of dress I wanted. Eliza walked around the store with me pointing out dresses and picking out a few of her own that she thought I might like. Unlike some other places, she warned me about dresses that were over my budget so that I did not try them and have my heart broken. When pulling dresses that might be a little over budget (maybe by a grand or so) she would ask me first if I wanted to 1) Even see the dress 2) Try it on. When trying on the dresses she made sure to clip me tight, fluff my train, and let me see the back of the dress. Sometimes she would step away, allowing my mom and I to discuss our feelings on the dresses. Eliza was so good to me, when I wanted to go back for my 2nd appointment (to pick out my dress out of the 2 I narrowed it down too I called the store to specifically make an appointment with her. I FINALLY SAID YES TO THE DRESS! When all is said and done, they sit you down and explain the contract in detail so when you sign, you know exactly what you're agreeing to. I highly recommend Renee Austin Wedding & Eliza for a memorable experience! Disclaimer: I don't have my dress yet (as it takes time to be ordered) so I am hoping that this process and fitting goes as smooth as the first!! Fingers Crossed.

She was very helpful in the dressing room, and made me feel extremely comfortable while changing. Out of the three bridal shops we went to in Grand Rapids, Renee Austin was far superior to the others, in selection and service. Eliza was great at picking out dresses based off my original picks and in my price range. I didn't want to spend more then $1000 on a dress and didn't have a lot of time before my wedding, and was amazed at how many options she brought me. Eliza was very welcoming to the small group that was there with me, including my brother (which another shop would not let him past the front door). Since I live out of town, they were able to ship my dress to me in Utah. Highly recommend!

BRIDES, COME HERE FIRST! Best experience I have had since I began planning. They are excellent to work with. I tried a couple other dress shops before Renee Austin (RA) and was beginning to get a little discouraged. I did not feel as pretty as I thought I should. I made an appointment at RA and that all changed! I am not even exaggerating. Give them a price point, tell them what you are looking for, show pictures, and they will bring out all sorts of beautiful gowns that fit your needs. If you feel uneasy about what the gown will look like after it is altered, they clip it in just the right spots, giving you a very clear picture of what it will look like on your wedding day. The manager is such an amazing woman, their staff is so helpful and involved, Eliza (sp?) was the sweet girl who helped me. Highly recommend!

My daughter and I drove in from out of town to go wedding dress shopping. We had heard about Renée Austin, but could not believe our eyes! We were lucky enough to have the owner Maggie help us for the day. Every one of our needs, concerns and wishes were met. Renee Austin was the best experience. First, the shop is SO BEAUTIFUL, clean and dresses galore. Secondly, shopping to me can be so stressful and the consultants went above and beyond to make sure I was always happy and comfortable. My girl was so knowledgeable and insightful and really took her time to show me all options. She offered me options to help compliment my figure, and as they weren’t ‘my’ initial choice, I ended up LOVING them! I’ve gone to so many other bridal shops and I’ve always felt pressured or that they weren’t listening and or helpful- this was the opposite feeling I got at RA. Lastly, it’s a one stop shop. Bridesmaids, mother of the bride, alterations , veils, jewelry, shoes shoes and did I say gorgeous shoes!? For me the convenience and being able to see the “complete” look is so ideal.

Found my dress at Renee Austin quite quickly the first time I visited. I was very happy about this since it can be a long and daunting process to pick from a zillion dresses at other shops. Emily, my bridal consultant was very good at eyeing my style. I ordered the dress in January. In July I went in for the first fitting. The manufacturer made a mistake on the order and the dress was too short...and too close to the wedding to be altered. (Stay with me now, there is good reason why I gave Renee Austin five stars. I would give more if I had the option). Emily stayed with me 2.5 hours after her shift ended on a Thursday night. She helped me find another dress right away. The very next night, Emily called me from her cell at 8pm (Friday night, mind you) to tell me she had straightened everything out with her bosses and they would let me trade my first dress for the dress of my choice in the store. This was NOT Renee Austin's responsibility as it was the manufacturers fault for screwing up the order. They went out of their way to make sure I was more than thrilled and not stressed out. I now have a dress that I love and believe is a better fit than the first! Emily emailed and called me promptly about all my inquiries and she even handpicked jewelry she thought I would love. All-in-all, I bought my dress, shoes, earrings, veil, and necklace from Renee Austin. I couldn't be happier. Best part? Emily. She rocks - if I was an employer I would be trying to steal her away. I have never had such service and understanding from an individual staff member, and from one company as a whole. I HIGHLY recommend you look for your wedding dress at Renee Austin.

As the mother of the bride, I can’t say enough good things about Renee Austin. My daughters and I stumbled upon the boutique by accident and we stopped in without an appointment the day after Christmas. Jana who I believe is the manager and also a bridal consultant, had another client appointment when we arrived. We didn’t expect personal consulting services since we didn’t have an appointment but she had Trisha help us so we wouldn’t have to be completely on our own. We never would have guessed that Trisha was not a formally trained consultant because she was awesome! She listened to my daughter, was extremely patient and helpful to my daughter as she was trying to decide on color, design and style. Trisha did a great job helping my daughter ultimately decide on the right dress that met all of her criteria including her budget Renee Austin is a boutique that sets itself apart from other bridal salons by providing personalized service, asking the right questions of the bride, and listening very carefully to what the bride wants. This was the first boutique we visited and we ended up cancelling our other appointments because my daughter’s experience resulted in finding the wedding dress of her dreams at Renee Austin.

Lovely store, great aesthetic & walked in to find a welcome sign with my name on it. I really appreciated the warm welcome until I was told we would have to wait for the current bride trying on dresses to finish even though we arrived right on time for our scheduled appointment. While I thought this was totally fine.. later on when I was trying on dresses I was shafted by another bride and pretty much was put on the back burner. I brought three friends with me because my grandma couldn't attend, my future mother in law couldn't attend due to the weather and my mother passed away three years ago. I think the brides who had "adults" with them were treated with more respect and were heavily attended to. But because I was just with my bridesmaids I was disregarded as business. Example: The bride before me was trying on dresses and was between two dresses and they put veils on her, compared with various belts, asked to have her stand on the pedestal etc. I never had a veil placed on my head, belts were only placed on me because the consultant seemed to not have clamps and I never once stepped on the pedestal and at the end of the appointment it was already being used by the next bride. While trying on dresses the consultant didn't help me into the dress. She handed me the dress to put on by myself. When a dress didn't fit she just told me to put it over my head and when it wouldn't go past my hips she just belted it as a quick friends and told my friends and I to "imagine" it. Luckily I spotted another dress that another consultant was suggested from across the room ( that my consultant totally said wasn't for me) ....I know it is my dress. I then requested for it to be brought over to me and my consultant reminded me that is wasn't my size...while I was still wearing the other dress that was bunched around my waist...and then held it against my body and again told us to "imagine it." My consultant was completely disinterested in helping me solve this issue. I was looking at my wedding gown while trapped in a gown that was bunched around my waist..but don't worry...we'll just put a belt on it. I sincerely apologized for having wide hips and not being able to fit into the dresses I told the consultant that I needed to try this dress on and would try it on in my home state, because I knew it was the perfect one for me. She should've known it was the perfect one for me because a previous dress I tried on at another shop that I showed her was made by the same brand and was a similar style and I loved it. Regardless....my consultant told me she understood but dutifully reminded me that I should purchase from them. I will not be purchasing from there purely based on the poor service and disinterested behavior my friends and I received. When I ran out of dresses that I picked she sent me on my way with no recommendations and did not write down any information for me, didn't give a card or anything. I will not be returning to purchase my dress but I'm so thankful I saw my dress from across the room....as an update I just received a lovely voicemail from my consultant apologizing for my experience. That was a very sweet gesture and I of course accept their apology and think it should be noted that reached out to me.
