Jami GeorgeIf I had to use one word to describe my first time at Watermark Church, it would be 'comfortable'. I've had uncomfortable experiences with churches in the past and opted to just not go at all. I attended Watermark with a friend and I will continue to go. The people were friendly and inviting, the music is incredible!!, the whole facility is inviting and 'comfortable'. The regular Pastor was away so there was someone else standing in. I look forward to going back.
J HsuI hate to give such a low score but today felt like what I had heard from so many outsiders of the church: A lack of feeling welcomed. The irony behind that came as one of the congregational representatives spouted about how welcoming they are yet my last impression of him was the prior 15 minutes where I sat in the row across from him and he did not move to make a single introduction but was more caught up speaking to his friends. This, in addition to the 10 minutes to socialize with others for communion. It was truly awkward that no one said more than a polite hello, but even that seemed...forced?
While I relocated across the country, I found myself giving a try for a church denomination I was familiar with having grown up a pk and mk in and my mother having recently retired from their national hq. To be fair, the music leader has a great voice and worship was solid but it was a guest speaker so no real determination on that aspect yet. But yes, sad to report not such an inclusive group as their website claims.
Rebecca KraftThis was our first visit here. Beautiful music and inclusive of the congregation. Something missing in most evangelical churches these days. Good and engaging preaching. Appreciate the honesty of the pastor regarding his own giftedness. We are on the hunt for a church home. Would love to find one in the Seminole heights neighborhood as that's where we live.
Christie ReidThis is the best church I've ever been to (In 23 memorable years). I've been coming here for three years, since I moved to Tampa. No one preaches like Pastor Tommy. He has an unheard of gift for teaching. He's a funny, kind and genuine speaker. No matter how long you've been going to church, you'll learn something here. This is the church gem of Tampa. I only wish there were something like this everywhere.
Dallas HerndonMy wife and I have attended this church now for 10+ years. We were dating here, married by the pastor and will soon have our first daughter dedicated to the Lord here. The children’s ministry is not super flashy like the big churches in the area but is VERY organized and fun. Plenty of time for the kids to play, pray, learn and make friends. Definitely give this church a try if you’re looking for something different from what you’ve always known. You’ll be pleasantly surprised.
Gabe PatilI found Watermark at a time in my life that my desire to connect with God was fading. I was a college student who had alot of previous and existing pain in my relationship with the church. After trying out a few churches in Tampa, I found my home at Watermark.
Being a part of Watermark led to such a deeper love and understanding of God, and sharpened my desire to know Him during a time where that desire was previously dulling. It transformed my view of Him, away from this punitive, disappointed-in-me figure, and instead to an ever-loving Father figure who seeks the redemption and reconciliation of the broken, and the life of the world to come.
No church is perfect, but this one has been the first I've attended that resoundingly reflects the love that Jesus has for His people and the work to be done in His name for the sake of restoration. I have since moved away from Tampa, but I listen to Tommy's sermons via podcast often. Without this place, I do not know where I would be in my relationship with Jesus and my purpose in the world.

Charles CardoSermon style is expository and inspiring as well. A welcome quality given the fact that most mega-churches present a 20 minute superficial outline in place of scholarly exegesis. Tommy infuses the socio-cultural milieu of the ancient Jewish culture of the so-called "Old testament" as well as the Greek influence present during the time Jesus lived and taught of the new testament.
