I was surprised at how much they help the community and as a church they should although most do not have the food kitchen to feed all the homeless. The food smells great and looked good true food kitchen and would have ate there myself. All the Staff seemed genuinely caring towards towards the homeless. This Church's worth the support as it reaches out to so many. So if any churches worth supporting this one is

My grandfather, John Wesley Marlatt was one of the founding members of this church. He and his wife (my grandmother) Maude Marlatt owned a bakery, Mrs. Marlatt's Bakery on University. My mother and father were married in this church in 1950. I still have the wedding photos taken in the church, though since they are black and white photos, they really don't do the windows justice. I'd hate to see the church razed, for personal reasons, but imagine the financial support isn't the same as when the church was built. It is a shame, though. Has anyone looked into finding money through grants or for historical buildings?

I went here for a book signing put on by the University of Washington Bookstore. Seemed an odd but reasonable place to have such an event, considering its proximity to the bookstore. There were probably 750+ people in attendance, so the church was filled nearly to capacity, including the balcony in the back. It's a church after all, so even though it's meant for presentations as such, it was not the most comfortable room for this to have been placed. Wooden church pews are hardly like theater seats, and the big expanse doesn't have the greatest acoustics. All-in-all, it was acceptable, but I'm not sure I'd go back again for the same type of event.

Was going by today and noticed your sanctuary is gone. Just wanted to pay my respects and wish the best to you as a faithful loving group.

I'm not part of the congregation and that might be why i find these Christians so mean. I grew up in neighborhood, graduated from the high school in the area. Lived in the neighborhood. I've seen it change. But barnone these are some mean Christians, beware.

I appreciate they've opened their space to multiple social service groups, including a needle exchange and psychiatric counseling. If you're looking to quit opioids, there is a low-barrier suboxone clinic in the basement. Ask for Fern!

This church is a shining example of Gods love for humanity by Hosting a discussion between Lindy west and Cecile Richards on giving women their right to life.

I haven't been for church but it is a very nice event space. Lots of room inside and in the opening hall.

This is where they have the needle exchange in the alley behind the church and the people that run it are super sweet! They help sooo many people!

Very small MCC Church that rents space from the Methodist Chapel. Very welcoming.
