As someone who grew up in the church and then turned away due to the hypocrisy of so many Christians (myself included), the outdated rules, the legalism, the bickering among denominations ect. I found this church to be quite different. I was invited by a friend and was so blown away by the friendliness of the congregation. People even remembered me when I came back a second time. Now I've been regularly attending for over a year and I feel like a valued member. The sermons are thought provoking and not "preachy." The staff is friendly and welcoming, and Pastor Kory truly cares about each person who walks through the door. The congregation is small enough to actually get to know people, not like the larger churches I've been to where you get lost in the crowd. People here are real, with real issues, real struggles, real joys, and real love to share. I wouldn't call myself a "religious" person. Just a person who has rediscovered the love of Christ. Waite Park helped me find that life again. There is love here, and it's meant to be shared.
