Reviews of First Covenant Church Minneapolis
James Albinson
First Covenant Church Minneapolis is a glorious old Swedish barn. Built in 1886 the sanctuary building is built like a big old wooden ship. There is a 1936 education wing and a 1965 middle addition . None of the floors align between buildings but there is a wonderful 8 stop elevator project underway. The church is surrounded on the east and north by the new East Town Apartments. The church now offers 2 levels of parking in their new underground ramp. The facilities are a busy beehive of community activities and services that extend way beyond the core activities of the church community. In person services are expected to resume in the fall of 2021 with amazing online experiences currently provided each week.

Visited once while in Minneapolis. We were greeted and welcomed, were happy to see community events / service projects happening and enjoyed celebrating a gospel centered service.

Even though I only live a few blocks from this church, I sadly only heard about it the news today. I am a disabled straight ally and affordable housing activist, as well as a JEWISH ordained minister through ULC.
I'm hoping when my medical health issues improve, to hopefully be able to volunteer my time, at least, I wish I had more resources, to show my support of the work you are doing our community by feeding and housing the homeless and being safe spacein non judgemental support for the LGBTQ community.
I'm hoping as well more people in our community will reach out to support the amazing work you are doing, which is a blessing to those in our community for those who are in dire need of any kind of support that your church and congregation is providing.
Peace and many blessings.

This place is a nice church they take couples witch make things easy for couples looking to stay together they are allowed to push beds together and sleep together but you do have to leave every morning at 7 due to a daycare near by witch make them kids safe its very comfy to sleep not much dramma they feed you only thing is they dont have parking or phones for guest to use nor wifi thats why they get 3 star from me just a place to spend a night get you out the cold

When I was (late 1950's)younger, my aunt Evelynn took me to this church; it was unusual in that a trumpet of ectoplasm came out of Rev Paulson's solar plexus and a voice spoke through the trumpet which gave spiritual
advice to people in the congregation.
