I was involved in a car accident in June 2022 and injured my neck and shoulder, this is a bummer because I am a pretty active bass player. I was recommended to see Dr. Dex and Palma Ceia and I am very grateful I followed up with them. Dr. Dex has singlehandedly restored my faith in medical professionals and chiropractors. Today though he went above and beyond, I was chatting with another patient in the office who was a fellow bass player and he was telling me about his injuries and then I shared with him that I hurt my thumb over the weekend during a show. Dex overheard the conversation and said that he would check it out. After performing the usual adjustments, he adjusted my hand. I know that this doesn't sound like much, but I'm used to doctors not really caring about my any issues. The fact that he took the time and did that meant a lot to me, this shows that he genuinely cares about me holistically. I can whole heartidely recommend Palma Ceia Chiropractic & Wellness Center and Dr. Dex and his staff.

I want to start off by saying before seeing Dex here at Palma Ceia Chiropractic I was very skeptical of the whole chiropractor concept. On my first visit he was so welcoming. He felt my spine and saw how off balanced my hips were then did x-rays, all before actually adjusting me to make sure he knew what technique needed to be done and to make sure I had no internal injuries that needed further MRI views. Results came back that due to years of soccer and an injury making me wear an ankle boot, I had caused myself a slight scoliosis curve and my hips being WAY out of line. I had pinch nerves in my lower back a couple times a day and also had a hard time sleeping, driving, walking, any normal daily activity. He set me up with a 12 week program going 3 times a week with a half way point of x-rays to make sure things are going smoothly . I have now completed that program and am ASTONISHED to the changes in my body. I do not a single pinch never anymore, I can drive for hours and not be in pain, I can work lifting things, and my SLEEP is insanely improved. I never thought there would be a day I could sleep through a night and live without pain and Dex helped me achieve just that. He got my hips nearly perfectly in line and got my spine back to being straight getting rid of the scoliosis. Aside from physically helping me my mental state is better as well. Sleep being such a huge factor to that I now have more energy every day. The office staff as a whole are so welcoming they know every client by name and even get to know you on a personal level and make you feel at home there. I will be continuing to see Dex every month to keep maintenance on the work he has done. For anyone looking to fix back/hip/body pains I would 1000% over and over again recommend this staff and chiropractor to anyone.

Went to Dr. Dex after many years of back pain and finally my hands went numb. Did not think Chiropractor was the way to go but my wife thought otherwise. I got sensation back in my hands after the first visit and now have virtually no pain even after standing or sitting for long periods of time. Dr. Dex Alvarez and staff are true professional healers. I had "tech neck" due to my former occupation as a Product Owner/Project Manager in a software company. Many years of leaning over my computer and laptop lead to a serious condition. I was crawling and in tears coming into my first appointment. Now, I walk tall, feel good and thankfully Dr. Dex has restored my neck & back curvature to within a healthy, tolerable range. Dr. Dex scheduled a plan, explained to me my condition while viewing images of my neck and back (with the math to back up his reasoning). Dr Dex gave me clear expectations on the outcome he expected us to achieve. He performed better than expected. Now I maintain with visits as necessary. This is not your ordinary Chiropractic practice. This is a transparent, treatment plan to outcome based practice. My wife Bren and I can never thank you enough! My recent visit like all my visits in Dr Dex office was a great experience. I have been a patient for a long time and every time all Staff treat me nice and professionally. Dr Dex usually asks about my day, family, plans for weekend, etc. He has a special way connecting with people making everybody feeling welcome. Staff goes an extra mile organizing events and inviting patients outside the office like dinner together or shopping for better food choices. This is not just chiropractic care it is more like Wellness Center offering massages and good quality products, including vitamins. I keep going back after my initial treatment for maintenance adjustments even though it takes me 30 minutes to drive there. Awesome people, absolutely recommend.

I love Dr Dex and cannot thank him enough! He is the best of the best. I went from literally not being able to walk at the end of February to walking without a limp in just 2 visits. I took his advice for his treatment plan and strength training of the core muscles and now am back to my normal routines! I must admit...I was not a “believer” of chiropractors. However, I was in the worst pain I have ever experienced - I think worse than giving birth! I was literally unable to walk and got taken to the ER only to learn the pain was stemming from my sciatica - all the way down to my foot! I had a few friends tell me I should see a chiropractor but I still wasn’t so sure. However, when my very dear and trusted friend told me the same thing and gave me a referral to Dr. Dex, swearing by him, I started to have second thoughts. I was willing to do anything to not be in this pain and to be able to normally put my clothes, shower, use the bathroom, sleep, clean, carry groceries and all the things that I took for granted - even so desperate to try a chiropractor now. My friend is one of those who do a lot of research for everything. He had spent his life going to chiropractors but after having seen Dr. Dex, he no longer had to continue going daily or weekly – just for maintenance once in a while and now it’s been a couple years for him since he has had to go. This is exactly what I needed!! I did not want what I had witnessed with other acquaintances in my life where they continued to go to the chiropractor on a daily basis, with no true fixing of the core issues! So, I caved and it was the best decision I could have made! Like I said, after a couple visits I felt great!! I continued to follow his treatment plan for me which over a little time, gradually decreased the number of visits and weaned me down to just some maintenance now. Dr Dex is great in spending time with you to explain what it is he is doing, how his treatment is effective and what it does exactly! Seeing x-rays from my first visit over the course of the few months I spent seeing him was amazing to see the differences! The proof is in the x-rays and my feeling like myself again of course!!! Thank you Dr Dex! You are truly one of a kind! The words I said to you during our first visit ring embarrassingly in my head - I told you how I felt about chiropractors but that you were highly recommended and that if it wasn’t for my friend, I wouldn’t be there but I was desperate. I love you Dr Dex! After seeing another Chiropractor for several years with positive results I had to suspend my treatments due to a Lumbar surgery in November 2018 to relieve Sciatica. Unfortunately the recovery was worse than the surgery. Lost over 45 lbs and was at a loss since I received NO direction or guidance or compassionate followup from the surgeon. I found Dr. Alvarez by providence. He is not only a gifted practitioner but he has a true gift of healing within himself and each patient feels it in his smiles and caring advice and treatments. I face a tough recovery since the Sciatic nerve can take up to 18 months to heal. Dr. Dex is helping me fight the good fight of rehab. Also Dr. Dex has referred to to caring and conservative oriented Pain Management and Primary Care professionals. There is no way to underestimate the power of a caring attitude to someone who is in pain. Did I mention I love you Dr. Dex!

This weekend I played 2 rounds of golf, went rock climbing and did yard work, with absolutely no pain or tightness. He is very thorough and explains your alignment with x-rays which is very helpful. Dr. Dex has been a life saver. I’m 21 years old and for the last 7 years I’ve struggled with nonstop health issues. Before being treated by Dr. Dex, taking 12 credit hours a semester and working out only 2-3 times a week was nearly impossible. During exams and long study sessions I used to have to wear a neck brace and afterwards I would often find myself in such severe pain that all I could do is lay on the floor and stare at the ceiling. Over the years I became very frustrated and even quite depressed. Fortunately, since I’ve started treatment with Dex my life has drastically improved. I am now weight lifting and kick boxing almost every day and I’ve had no issue with my studies. I never thought I’d be healthy enough to work our twice a day again or that I’d ever be anything close to the athlete I once was. I can’t thank him enough

I started going to Palma Ceia Chiropractic & Wellness Center roughly two months ago after attending a lunch & learn that was held at my workplace where he spoke to us about stress. I learned a lot from him that day. Prior to going to Dr. Dex, I remember a time when I had to wash one of my dogs in the bathtub and having considerable pain in my lower back from bending over. I had so much pain that I had to stop several times because it hurt so bad. Just last weekend I returned from vacation, driving 950 miles over a day and a half in an uncomfortable Jeep. The very next day after returning I was REALLY dreading it when I had to wash both of my dogs in the bathtub, because it was 4th of July and the self-pet wash place we've been going to was closed that day. I knew my back was going to hurt. Long story short, I ended up washing both of our dogs WITHOUT ANY PAIN in my lower back!! Unbelievable! It's all because of Dr. Dex. He's a miracle worker! He finds and works on the root cause of your pain, and doesn't just work on the symptoms that you're having at the time. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a great chiropractor.

Dex and his whole staff are all so friendly and make you feel so at ease. They are very flexible if you need to cancel or reschedule appointments and you're always in and out in 20 minutes or less. Dex is professional but also treats you like a person and not just a patient. Parking can be kind of tricky but the office is close to the Selmon and not that far to get on to 275. I would highly recommend to my close friends and family.

Dr. Dex is great! I was a bit nervous about going to a chriopractor for the first time after a softball injury, and he made me feel right at home! I decided to go to him after months of physical therapy not working and am so glad I did! He took the time to sit and understand all that was going on with me. I had other medical issues unrelated to the softball injury that we've been trying to correct for years (ie lack of energy, sciatica and back pain, etc) and since going to him all have been corrected! This is the first chiropractic place I have been to that actually wanted you to improve. Most want to give you medication or want to cut you open. I have major improvement with just the first two visits. I was in pain all day and now I am able to move and most importantly sleep without pain. Dr. Alvarez also gives you a detailed plan on how to correct the problem and how to make sure the issue doesn't come back. I have been seeing doctors since 1992 for my injury and had several surgeries so I know a good doctor when I see one and Dr. Alvarez is truly amazing and he has a heart of gold. Dr Dex is extremely knowledgeable and skilled in sports medicine. He is definitely the correct chiropractor for an athlete or active person. Within six months of treatment with him, I no longer suffered from daily headaches anymore. He explains everything on your xrays and what he is trying to achieve. I recently took my daughter there, who is an equestrian and has a reoccurring injury of a dislocated shoulder, and she was able to get relief in one visit. Just try one visit and you will not be disappointed!
