Dr. Luke is incredible and we're so happy to have him as a part of our island ohana!! At the start of my third trimester, I had severe upper back pain, and neither I nor my husband knew what to do. After suffering for a couple days, we looked up a chiropractor near us and read all the wonderful reviews about Dr. Luke. Let me tell you, they are all absolutely true!! We called him first thing in the morning and he was able to see me within a few minutes. What a relief! Upon arrival, Dr. Luke warmly welcomed us in his beautiful space, gave me an evaluation and was able to alleviate my back pain while educating my husband and I on the benefits of having periodic adjustments during our first pregnancy. It was his genuine kindness, professionalism, and passion for helping others that made us feel comfortable committing to a treatment plan which took us all the way to the birth of our baby girl! I looked forward to every visit with Dr. Luke as the adjustments gave me immense relief. I also believe that the regular treatments contributed to my relatively short and successful labor. Moreover Dr. Luke quickly became an incredible support system during my last two months of pregnancy when my husband was unexpectedly assigned to work off island to return just two weeks before our expected due date. Being a new dad himself, Dr. Luke was very sympathetic to our situation. He increased my sessions from 2 times a week to 3 times a week. Receiving frequent treatments was a great relief for me in the last few weeks of my pregnancy and it gave my husband peace of mind to know I was in good hands. As all of our family lives on the mainland, it was comforting to have a care provider who was willing to listen to my questions and concerns during this stressful time. We plan to continue seeing Dr. Luke for more chiropractic adjustments! Thank you, Dr. Luke!

After enduring a few days of extreme lower back pain, I finally decided it was time to visit a chiropractor. What a blessing I was given! First of all, I was very impressed that Dr. Luke himself answered my phone call and I was so grateful he squeezed me in between appointments the very next day. The positive vibes I had over the phone were acknowledged right away just as I entered his office, which is clean and calming, and he greeted me as if we had already known each other. As soon as we arrived in Honolulu from California, I called Dr Luke for an emergency appointment. He was able to see my daughter the same day as she had just torn her ACL from skiing a couple of days earlier. He was able to adjust the knee, also adjust from her hip to her feet. She felt better as soon as she was adjusted. I felt that it made the healing process faster and she was more confident in using the injured knee. Although, my daughter will still need the reconstructive surgery, I believe this adjustment helped her heal faster.

Dr. Luke is super kind! He always squeezed me in on my days off - I’m a nurse, so my schedule is all over the place. I had burning pain down my arm and tingling. I left a message for him on a Sunday, he called me Monday and got me in same day. Within 2 sessions, the pain was completely tolerable. After a few weeks, I am almost back to 100%. I’ve been to lots of chiropractors on the mainland, and he exceeded my expectations. He was realistic with my timeline before I had to move away, and truly helped me so much. I used to be a power lifter, then after a back injury I couldn’t squat or deadlift 20% of my max without feeling pain. I came to Dr. Luke and he took X-rays which was when we found out that my spine had been bent a little bit. After 5 months I can say that I have no more back pain. He has been making the proper adjustments and I’ve been doing pull ups and dips to elongate my spine. Today we took X-rays again, and my spine was straight. His methods work. So if you’re looking for a solution to fix your back pain, Dr. Luke is the guy. You have to do the core exercises that he tells you if you want to have good results.

I recently had my first encounter with vertigo and it was extremely debilitating and became depressing quickly. Awful experience all around! I went to see my PCP, the ER twice, and tried everything I could medically and was told I would pretty much just have to wait for the vertigo to pass on its own. Over the course of a couple months, along with physical therapy and giving acupuncture a try (for the first time as well), it has improved. But I do have days where I still feel some residual symptoms. So I did my research and found Ho'ola Chiropractic. It was my first chiropractic experience and I had my reservations about it but, it turned out to be a good experience overall. Dr. Luke did a great job of explaining what to expect during my first visit and educating me more about vertigo and what it entails. I have had the privilege of being under Dr. Tim’s care during my last 2 pregnancies. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is currently pregnant or postpartum as well. I would see him about 2-3 times a week where he would align my spine and make sure everything was in its place. I had minimal back pain and better sleep during my pregnancy and attribute it to my weekly adjustments. Spinal alignment is super important because if your spine and pelvis are aligned it helps during the labor and delivery process. I was in labor for less than 10 minutes for both of my deliveries and I was able to see Dr. Tim immediately after giving birth. Pregnancy and childbirth are so hard on a women’s body but because I was able to continue my chiropractic adjustments I was able to recover faster and probably why I have 3 children under 3! If you’re pregnant or recently postpartum go and see Dr. Tim!

Back Pain On Vacation is a real downer. I suffer chronic back problems from a bad car wreck many years ago. It flares up at times and can quite painful with pinched nerves running down arms, direct back pain, shoulder and neck stiffness etc. Within an hour of leaving an email Doc got back to me and scheduled me in that day. Bottom line, better almost immediately and able to enjoy rest of vacation. Great service, friendly, and very skilled. PS after 50 years of both MD and DC care I know good chiropractor from bad and he is good!

Dr Luke is the best chiropractor I've ever been to, I've been seeing him close to 2 years now but when I first called to make an appointment he heard how bad I sounded on the phone and took me immediately and it was instant relief of back pain and of headaches, even tho my back needed alot of work, It was unbelievable and he explained in detail of what was causing my headaches and back pain through xrays. I would definitely recommend Dr Luke! His office location is very easy to find and clean. He scheduled me initial visit right away, literally next day, to take an X-ray for my lower back and explained to me what the issue of my pain is and how it will be treated. Dr. Luke is very flexible in the way that he works with you if there’s any last minute change to best accommodate you. His positive energy and professional demeanor keep me stay positive regardless how much back pain I have. Our first session he took X-rays and carefully explained to me the issues with my pain. He came up with a treatment plan that offered a discount for his services. He also is really kind and has a welcoming energy, offering advice on what to do between sessions. My body feels great now-no pain, I feel limber and flexible. Definitely would recommend Dr Luke!

I first moved to the island in early 2020 and had regular care in Japan prior to moving from the same Chiropractor for years previous to our move, so understandably, I was a bit nervous in receiving new care. Within the first couple of months of arriving on Oahu I sought care at Ho'ola and was greeted with empathy by Dr. Luke for my severe neck pain (8/10) and a strong will to improve my health. While I was offered a package deal, there was no pressure to purchase and received amazing care on an appointment/as needed basis. I initially pursued this care because of the good reviews and they did not disappoint. A few months later I developed mid/upper back pain which I have had problems with off & on throughout my years. After a couple weeks of treatment that was gone as well. For the last 1.5 years I have continued treatment at Ho'ola Chiro as tightness appeared, to include a recent traumatic fall down the stairs. I am less than two weeks after a hard fall down the stairs that left my back in severe pain and tightness driving me to seek treatment once again. After just three sessions, might back pain has nearly disappeared w/ pain reduced to 2/10 from a 7/10. Dr. Luke has had no issues about getting feedback on how I feel after treatment and will often make additional adjustments before I leave to ensure I was properly adjusted. I am so thankful I was able to make a nearly seamless transition to getting care here on Oahu and am unsure where my back/neck health would currently be without finding this practice. Thank you Dr. Luke for your care and attention to detail. Highly recommend. Price was worth the treatment for my health.

My wife had a sore low back Friday night before the Labor Day long weekend. As the chiropractor we used to consult closed the office already, we had to make calls to various chiropractor offices the next day (Sat) and left messages for appointment. Only Dr. Luke returned our call shortly and was able to squeeze her in the midst of his existing schedule with short notice. He listened patiently to her problems. After the adjustment, my wife felt much better. He also explained the exercises she could do at home to relieve the back pain. Without Dr Luke, my wife would have suffered more during the long weekend. We appreciate Dr Luke’s kindness and professionalism. If Dr. Luke becomes a HMSA participant provider, it will help us reduce the administrative procedures for insurance reimbursement and get better coverage.

Dr. Luke is amazing!! I have been having migraines and occipital/trigeminal nerve issues for almost two years! I’ve been to multiple chiropractors on the mainland and they all did the same basic crack, bill, done. No personalization or specialized care. In the first half hour, Dr. Luke found a vertebrae out of place and fixed it for me! He is also starting prenatal care for me as well! So glad I found him. If you pay for services in advance you save money too…he really seems like he cares about patients rather than making money! First, Dr. Luke quickly returned my call after leaving a message(within 10 minutes) and was able to squeeze me in for the initial exam and adjustment better than the other offices in Honolulu that I had called (and I called several) which was extremely important since I was limping and in pain due to throwing out my hip. After he reviewed my X-rays with me he adjusted my hip correctly and also had me do a few exercises to activate the muscles around my hip and thigh that was thrown off due to limping for a few days and prescribed that I walk around for a while after the appointment to make sure my hip and leg recovered properly. So I was experiencing a pinch in my hip area which I thought was just my legs being sore from running the other day. A few days later i couldn't take the pain anymore so I went to the ER, bcuz as a military member that's what we're supposed to do first. I waited for 6hrs in the ER waiting room only to get seen for five minutes and was prescribed meds. They said that it was just a strained muscle and that I should take the meds and sleep it off. I slept most of the next day waking up a few times to a pinging hip joint. The following day I couldn't take the pain anymore, so I started googling chiropractic clinics in waikiki. The only one that could see me immediately was Dr. Luke. It was my first time ever going to a chiropractor so I didn't know what to expect. Dr. Luke was so welcoming when I got to his office! While I was filling out paperwork I told him what I was going through. He took my x-rays, which the freaking ER didn't even do, and we found how crooked my body was! The run was probably the last thing my body couldn't take anymore. So then I got on his work table/bed, and after about 5 min of him twisting and cracking my joints he had me walking almost without any pain. I can tell ya'll that that man is an angel sent by God! Dr. Luke is the first chiropractor I have ever seen. While I was nervous about what chiropractic treatment would entail, Dr. Luke made me feel comfortable from my very first appointment, and I saw him from 2018 to 2020. If I wasn't moving, I would have continued to see him for my scoliosis. The office is easily accessible, bright, and clean. Dr. Luke explained the issues I had with my back at the first appointment and then created a treatment plan right away. Even though I paid out of pocket for my treatment, the cost of a year's worth of adjustments was reasonable. Until my first appointment, I only knew that I had scoliosis; I didn't know its consequences or if it was even treatable. After several appointments and implementing the at-home exercises Dr. Luke recommended, I began to see and feel a change in my spine and posture. Today, I experience a lot less stiffness and aches in my back, and am much more confident. Whereas I used to hate when other people saw me from the side because I had a hunch, now I don't even worry about others seeing my side profile. Over the course of my appointments, Dr. Luke built great rapport with me, and I was often surprised by how much he remembered about what we talked about during a previous adjustment. After my first appointment, I never went into an adjustment nervous; as someone else said in their review, each appointment was like visiting a friend. As for my appointments, Dr. Luke always worked with my schedule and had me in and out of the office in 10 to 15 minutes. Recently, I hurt my back while moving boxes and Dr. Luke squeezed me in the next day, listened to me when I told him about my symptoms, and treated me from the day after the injury until the day before I left the island. I couldn't believe that three years of treatment have passed. I'm so happy to have discovered Dr. Luke in 2018, especially since he treated me throughout graduate school, during which I spent an inordinate amount of time hunched over textbooks. First things first, Dr. Luke is awesome! I had never been to a chiropractor before and wasn't sure what to expect. Dr. Luke did a great job of explaining everything and making me feel very comfortable, as well as feeling like I actually understood what was going on and how the specifically designed treatments he performs aim to correct the problem for the longer term, not just a temporary fix. But that was just my first visit! As I continued sessions with Dr. Luke I found him to be nothing awesome. Longer Story: I dislocated my shoulder a couple months prior, and was recovering, but then developed severe neck pain and debilitating migraines. He specializes in injuries of this nature, and just within the first two sessions was able to help me feel better and return to work/life. I took some time to research a chiropractor, as I have never been to one before. I was more interested in a facility that had an x-ray machine on site, as I suffered a bad car accident a couple years ago and wanted to see the damage. I came across Ho'ola Chiropractic, and was immediately interested once someone mentioned in their review that they perform x-rays. I called to schedule a consult with Dr. Luke, who was very quick in responding and scheduling. The consult itself took about an hour, as x-rays were taken and discussing points of focus that needed to be addressed and a treatment plan. The cost of treatment varies, as each person is case by case and time may not be the same for everyone. Insurance is not accepted here, but payment plans can be arranged. The cost of my treatment plan was broken down prior to any services being done, and I understood that undoing years worth of pain and discomfort will take time. Dr. Luke was very personable and transparent about his practice and services he provides. He builds great rapport with his clients, remembering details of their life that they share with him. He gives a couple exercises to do at home, along with some tips to adjust potential habits that could be hurting more than helping the pain. Scheduling is pretty flexible, as the alignments sessions itself is very fast. If you park in the parking structure, you can validate your ticket with Dr. Luke. You pay for the quality you want in your life, as well as their time and expertise. Personally, I like Dr. Luke and his practice. He is very easy to talk to and very knowledgable in his field. As someone who has worked in health care and customer service, I understand that Dr. Luke is invested in my health as much as I am. So trusting the process and doing your part (consistently) is what will ultimately help you get on the right path to healing. I am still some ways away from feeling pain free, but I am looking forward to seeing the progress once we compare before and after x-rays when the time comes.

Dr. Luke helped me to realize some crucial information as to how my spine healed out of alignment after I had gone through a car accident several years ago. I had no idea. I’ve had episodes of electric-like “shocks” in my head and the pain was unbearable. I even went to the ER - and left after an IV and some pain meds. Of course the shocks returned shortly after. After the second session I started to feel much better, I had attended a general chiropractor before but I seemed to only be getting worse. Something I had found out is that each treatment done is unique to the individual according to the problem that is shown in your X-ray. I appreciate that the root of the problem is being addressed and fixed directly. No more hip pain, no dislocated hip, and no limping! It was very evident last year, that right before and when it would rain, I would have hip pain, due to a slightly dislocated hip, and I also started to limp. I saw a chiropractor (not Dr. Luke), and the adjustments didn’t help. I then saw an orthopedic surgeon, and I was told the pain would increase before it rained because my body was sensitive to the atmospheric pressure, and I had to live with the pain. I met Dr. Luke and his father at a craft fair. The pride and belief his father had for him is what made me choose to follow through with an appointment. Dr. Luke is very thorough with his assessment and tells you each and every thing that is causing the different aches and pains that you have. From the X-ray I was able to see that my neck is very far forward and no longer had a curve, Dr. Luke even had a model to show me how this is causing my nerves to pinch and restricting spinal fluid to the brain. I walked into my first session with a migraine that I’ve been thinking is because of my lack of sleep, turns out it was because of the displacement of my neck. I never knew that seeing a chiropractor could help with migraines and even sinus problems. I’ve been having severe migraines for the past few months and for it to just disappear after one session was amazing. I went to see Dr. Luke a couple days ago on short noticed. He personally set up an appointment with me immediately. I was experiencing some lower back pain over the last few months, some imbalances in my shoulder, and some Lat tightness on my left side. I found Ho'ola Chiropractic in May while looking for relief from increasingly frequent and debilitating attacks of migrainous vertigo. I had 5 attacks between November 2020 and April 2021. I've suffered from occasional bouts of vertigo since 2006. It always rendered me bedridden and unable to function for at least 3-4 days, to as much as a week. It is not benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. I have PTSD-induced generalized anxiety disorder and depression. In 2017, I suffered a traumatic brain injury in a fall, and had post-traumatic seizures. My neurologist insisted the more-frequent vertigo was unrelated to my injury, and not indicative of increased seizure risk. He only recently attributed it to migraines, and prescribed Topamax as a preventive. My primary care physician ruled out an acoustic neuroma by an MRI early on. I don't have the risk factors or symptomatology of Meniere's disease. 3 CT scans and another MRI within the last 3 years have been unremarkable. Traditional Chinese medicine, with acupuncture, herbs, and changes in diet, have made me generally healthier, but didn't help with the vertigo specifically. Upper cervical chiropractic adjustments by Dr. Timothy Luke have helped from the first visit. I was able to identify my issues myself on my xrays, and Dr. Luke explains everything thoroughly and comfortably. He's able to do so because he's absolutely secure in his knowledge and skill. That in itself is comforting and healing. In addition to adjustments, Dr. Luke has given me exercises to help my body remember how to correct itself, and other tips to help me stay positive. His attitude of gratitude and "glass half full" mindset is as good for my mental health as his chiropractic care is for my physical health. (And yes, being pitched an expensive prepaid treatment plan at the first visit is more than a little unsettling, but Dr. Luke is a good man as well as a skilled chiropractor. Worth the money, if you can afford it.)

I am more aware of my posture at the computer and with my phone - NO MORE STIFF SHOULDERS!! You do have to pay upfront for the consult fee and for the care plan (if you decide to see Dr. Luke). Dr. Luke will work with you to find the best course of action and give you paperwork needed to follow up with your insurance since they do not work directly with them. I recommend calling your insurance to see if they will partially reimburse you or see what is covered under your plan! (that is what I am doing - some ins dont cover chiro, so it would be out of pocket) 10/10 Would recommend!!

Finding Dr. T Luke has been a blessing. After moving to Hawaii I kept postponing finding a chiropractor in the island. The result - a stiffed and painful neck, shoulders, upper, mid and lower back. Dr. Luke's thorough explanations showed me where the problem was and how he planned to correct it. I had a sharp pain in my neck which went down my right shoulder/arm and to my hand. Basically my entire right arm, starting from my neck was partially numb with a constant aching pain. Long review: From the moment I stepped in to the office the first time it was a very welcoming environment. Dr. Luke is very friendly and professional. You can tell he loves what he does and has a passion for it. I really like how he connects and gets to know you. He's very knowledgeable and always willing to answer questions you may have. I like to stay pretty active wether it be lifting weights at the gym or one of those home workouts where you just pop in a dvd and follow the trainer on screen. Through the years of lifting weights I've always noticed that the right side of my back was smaller in size and weaker compared to my left (even after focusing more on the right side with unilateral exercises or just doing more reps). Also, doing some exercises always felt a little off balance. Even my posture felt a little off when just standing straight. Quite honestly I never would have thought that I would see a chiropractor for my problem. But, I found myself in Dr. Luke's office because my girlfriend was actually the one who wanted some chiropractic help. She mentioned that I should ask Dr. Luke about my back and he offered doing some X-rays if I wanted to. Since I was there I thought I might as well give it a go. When I returned the following week for my X-ray results I was very surprised to see and find out why my back is the way it was. After the first session I already felt a difference in my posture. I've already been going to him 3 times and have felt a big difference in my workouts. My bench press feels better and the right side of my body feels stronger when pushing the bar up. Pull-ups feel better too as the right side of my back doesn't feel as weak as before. I can perform my deadlifts better too. Bar placement on my back for squats feels balanced and the squats itself feel better. Over head presses feels more smooth. The x-ray showed my right hip was lower so after the few adjustments I feel more flexible when performing a hamstring stretch where you try to touch the floor with your fingertips. My home workouts sometimes consists of doing jabs and uppercuts and now they just feel more smooth as well. I can definitely feel a better mind-muscle connection with the right side of my back and feel better muscle engagement in the lower part of the lats on that side. As a bonus I also haven't been experiencing headaches ever since getting my neck adjusted too. Overall, I am very happy with the results so far and looking forward to continue my visits to Dr. Luke! I really recommend him and already have recommended him to a friend who was looking around for some chiropractic help.

Excellent service. Dr. Luke is very professional, young and enthusiastic about his craft and his patients. I’ve been having lower back pains that would come and go, but after seeing Dr. Luke, it has not been an issue. I have a nerve condition called trigeminal neuralgia which affects the face and is very painful when I have attacks. I've had this for over a year now and have been taking medications prescribed by a neurologist that would give me some relief but I would still have attacks that were excruciating to say the least. When I found out about Hoola Chiropractic and learned that they treat trigeminal neuralgia I was in disbelief and at the same time excited. I immediately called and made an appointment. I met with Dr. Timothy Luke and he was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable which made me feel very comfortable and hopeful. To be honest I was still very skeptical that he could help me with my condition. After only a couple of visits I could feel a difference. I have been going about 2-3 times a week for about a month now and I have not had any major attacks or any at all. I have completely stopped taking the medication and have not need it. Hoola Chiropractic does not take medical insurance and is very expensive but it was worth every penny.

In mid April, I started to get what I thought was a mild sickness, vomiting, nauseous, loss of appetite, and migraines. I visited a couple doctors and they told me it was nothing serious, that I probably had a mild virus. But a week later, symptoms worsened, seen more doctors and referred to a GI doctor who did an endoscopy on me and found nothing wrong too. At almost three weeks of experiencing this, symptoms did not let up and I got severe motion sickness (which later I found out was vertigo, I had no idea at the time), finally being admitted into the hospital where I stayed for almost two weeks. Doctors did every test under the sun, did two MRI's and CT scans, and I was shocked, they couldn't find the root cause... their only option was giving me steroids to see if it was an inflammation problem in my brain. It seemed to help ease the symptoms a little. Not only did I leave the hospital with more side effects, but I left not knowing what or how to treat this "unknown" condition. It was truly a blessing to have been referred and highly recommended to see Dr. Luke! Upon walking in the office, he was very welcoming and super hospitable. It's a nice space, centrally located, and super convenient for public transportation. I was still dizzy from having bits of motion sickness, also a week prior to visiting him I could barely walk without a cane or someone to hold on to. He took some X-rays and was able to break it down for me so that I could understand what was going on. He thoroughly explaining that my atlas was misaligned. And it had to do with an injury I had in 2013 where I fractured a vertebrae!! I had no idea how much that affected me and never knew that this misalignment could cause all those symptoms until Dr. Luke explained the functions of the brain and its direct connection to the spine. I felt so relieved to get answers, and a complete understanding, especially after having seen over 15 different doctors prior that couldn't tell me anything.. I've had a few adjustments now and feel a huge difference!!! My head feels so much lighter, the migraines have gone away, I hardly get dizzy and I'm so much more active and mobile than I was before!! I suffered chronic migraines all my life that started getting worse. Some months I would have 14 days of consecutive migraines. I get sick, have black outs and sometimes even pass out. Growing up, my parents planed vacations around my headaches, keeping an eye on the weather, time, noise, and lighting. I was scared to go to a chiropractic because of the possibility of my migraines getting worse, but Dr. Tim explained how I would feel during and after treatment. Dr. Luke of Ho’ola Chiropractic has been such a savior to me and my constant back pain I have been dealing with for the past 10 years. Doctors can offer surgery, which is extremely risky when the spine is involved. Pain meds do not heal the body, just masks the pain and becomes a problem in itself. Many people swear by Accupuncture, but I didn’t think it helped me, and I also believe that “who” can make a difference. For almost 5 years I have been talking about trying a chiropractor. I suffer from tinnitus and after the initial exam and x-ray, Dr. Luke showed me that an out-of-alignment neck vertebra is a likely cause. He showed me the all the x-rays and pointed out where the problem areas were. I feel that the tinnitus has gradually diminished since I started the treatments. Tinnitus can take months to resolve but with Dr. Luke’s help it is improving. He is not only very caring and skillful, but also knowledgeable - he cautions me about reducing salty foods, which, according to tinnitus specialists, can trigger or worsen the ringing in the ear. I’m glad I found Dr. Luke and recommend him to anyone with neck/spine issues!
