If you're struggling with pain and want to be treated like a person not a number, give this place a call. I have had low back pain for years and was able to get some relief going here. They also gave me 4 additional visits at no cost because they wanted me to progress further before my treatments were done.(no one does that anymore) Myself and a couple family members have all had a good experience with Total Health. The doctors and staff are good at what they do and super friendly.

I finished my 5 weeks of spinal decompression and 2 weeks of physical therapy. I am now able to stand up straighter and my back pain is gone. I have some strength issues to work on in physical therapy. My only regret is that I wish I had not waited so long, but happy that I did go before it was too late. All the staff is great and make you feel welcome and you are not just a number, always greeted by name. I had attended THC several years ago for a neck problem and it was resolved at that time and that is the reason I went back. Thanks to all the staff for the care they provided. My advice to anyone with low back pain DON’T WAIT.

I've been having headaches and back pain issues for sometime. All bit I haven't started any care just yet but my new patient visit was very welcoming. Olivia up front was very professional and personable. She made the visit worth it. Doctor Miller himself explained everything and was very professional on trying to figure out what are the main issues to my problems. I also felt that mentor type personality from him which I hope continues to help me learn about proper back, neck, and muscle health. I look forward to more visits and as of today feel very lifted to have a doctor that listened to my concerns and taking approach to find what's wrong and not a what they think is wrong. I like to add that I was totally thrilled that the minute I walked in they greeted me by name. They knew who I was before I even said a word. I'm actually very ecstatic about this. I joined the DRX treatment program at Total Health for my diagnosis of a “severely” herniated disc and it was the best decision I could have made. At 37 I really didn’t want to go the surgery route since almost everyone I talked to said I would regret it. Before coming to Total Health I tried every other treatment available (PT, traditional chiropractic, pain injections, supplements, pain meds) and saw little to no improvement. It’s not a cheap program, but most things that work well aren’t and if anything I blame the insurance industry for not covering “elective” treatments when they will gladly shell out $50k for back surgery. I’m nearing the end of my treatment and my pain has gone from a 7-8 (sometimes worse) to a zero most days with some occasional discomfort if I overdo it (my fault not the treatment plan). Dr. Miller and his staff are awesome to work with. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating and it’s amazing to see how efficient the team is. While they are all great special shout-out to Darius for not only helping me through the program, but making it fun along the way! My finally thought…if you are serious about a non-surgical option and nothing else has worked this is your best chance and returning to normal. That said if you decide to start a treatment program there is no “magic pill” and you have to follow the program and instructions they give you (including some exercises to do on your own). If you do this I promise you won’t be disappointed with the results!

I am generally a very active person and retired nurse. I have been suffering with back pain for years and has been gradually getting worse to the point where I couldn't do anything without pain and assist. I have been through all the treatments available. A neurosurgeon told me the only thing he could do for me was place rods in my back. As a medsurg nurse, I have seen too many things go wrong with rod placement. That was going to be my very last choice. A friend of mine had seen Dr. Miller talk about this nonsurgical treatment while watching the news one day. I had to try it. Of course, you have to be accepted into the program first. The entire staff and doctors are phenomenal. They treat you like family. I am almost through the program and can do things now I never thought I'd be able to do. I know my journey is not complete but I now have hope and a new prospective that with continued exercise, etc in my daily life, I will prevail to a better more enjoyable life.

You will feel comfortable as soon as you walk in. The ambiance is very relaxing. Dr. Miller’s huge aquarium will relax you no matter how tense you may be when you arrive. The staff is very friendly and anxious to help you in any way they can. All the rooms are very tastefully decorated to create a soothing atmosphere and they are always immaculate. I have not only received chiropractic care here but have had a number of massages as well. The staff is always very considerate and professional. Sharing review for a friend who went through Decompression treatment for their spine/back. Followed up by spinal force, and underwent the DMX 9000 machine. Even if they are running 5 minutes late for your appointment the staff will offer you a free drink or free food. Two years of unbearable pain from the waist going down each leg right to my toes, two different pain clinics and pain prescriptions including Gabapentin later I saw Total Health on news 8. A bit skeptical I called, so glad I did, that next day we were in consultation with Dr Miller. I am a beacon of reality. My body is a light in the dark of what happens to a person who has experienced 73 years of injuries, abuse, neglect, arthritis, and surgeries. My body has made it through the replacement of both knees and hips, the fusion of 10 vertebrae, and 5 surgeries on the feet. I was fully convinced next year at this time I would be wheelchair bound - until my wife so an advertisement for Total Health. I met with Dr. Miller. He had X-rays taken along with a few other tests. He wasn't real sure he could do much for me but I suggested even if I could get my back somewhat aligned it would be great. So he designed a very doable plan for me. It should be of no surprise my spine was as a big a mess as the rest of me. Dr. Wellman has done a remarkable job of putting my spine back in some semblance of normalcy to the point I am starting to do some of things of which I was capable when I was younger - in my 50s. I am very grateful to the two of them. There is a group there that is as big a help as anyone and those are the people who greet you when you arrive and wish you a good day when you leave. The people who answer the phone, the activity assistants, the people who encourage you and help you get up and down. The support staff is the best, friendliest I have ever seen and, trust me, I have seen quite a few. Very professional office environment. However, I went to this facility after seeing the extended advertisement on Fox 17. FYI: They don’t tell you they don’t accept Priority Health insurance. I went through the process of setting up an appointment going in, even speaking with “Dr. Chris”. After a short “interview” with him, (yes interview) he explained they don’t take PH. It was pretty awkward. How can anyone afford all of the services they offer without insurance? Actually , all “I” wanted was to be adjusted. That’s it. But not going to pay out of pocket. I assumed every established chiropractor worked with Priority Health. Please start informing potential patients up front what insurances you accept or better yet, what you do not accept.

Karen, who does therapeutic massage has a gift for finding and relaxing knots of muscular tension that I did not know were even there. I have had one massage from Hanna who is also highly skilled. Dr S did such good work on my lower back that it is pretty much pain free at this point. Dr B is adjusting my neck now and I'm feeling the results moving in the same direction. After hearing about Total Health Chiropractic’s DRX9000 Machine on the news, I was hoping it might be the solution I was looking for to finally heal a bulging disc in my neck that has been causing me terrible pain for four years. I had tried everything else: Cortizone shots, physical therapy, massage therapy, chiropractic care, and acupuncture, but nothing worked. The surgeon I had been seeing gave up on me because I refused to have neck surgery, even though he knew a connective tissue disorder would make my recovery very difficult. After five weeks on the machine, not only do I have range of motion back, but some of my ranges are better than what’s considered normal and my pain levels have decreased from a constant seven or eight down to a two or three. I still have a few weeks left in the program and Drs. Miller and Wellman have been very active in the direction of my care. I love Dr. Wellman. He takes his time with me during my adjustments and is extraordinarily knowledgeable. The chiropractic assistants are friendly, funny, and very helpful! I have enjoyed my time here immensely! The program is extraordinarily expensive, but I feel the cost far outweighs the complications that can be caused from surgery. So far, I am very happy with my care here!

I started coming to see Dr. Miller for mobility problems. All of my bones seemed stuck. I couldn't move well at all and I had very little flexibility in my body. I had rib pain, hip pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, sinus problems and had recently started having digestive problems. Total Health Chiropractic has unsurpassed customer service. Never have I been to a place where they have the patient/customer in mind like they do at Total Health Chiropractic. From the time you pull into the parking lot there is someone at the door who opens the door for you and greets you by name. The chiropractor is professional and informing. You don't feel rushed, the doctor takes the time to explain to you their review and treatment for your condition. I first heard of THC from my girlfriend who went to her PCP and a physical therapist whom neither were able to help her with the back pain. She got very little answers to her questions. She felt hopeless and immobile until she went to THC and within several visits was able to walk pain free again. I would highly recommend Total Health Chiropractic. Once she left, the other chiropractors ranged from quirky and limp fish-like to startlingly aggressive and I stopped making appointments. They make a big deal about customer service when you're in the office, but when I stopped coming, did anyone call? No. Plus, I pressed several employees for answers as to the odd things I overheard or sensed, and all confirmed that the employees are not treated well here.

I learned of THC from the Fox17 Morning Mix show here in Grand Rapids. Called in for an appointment, had to give my credit card number to ensure my appointment time. I paid the $49 initial visit cost had a consultation and xrays. Even though I mentioned my curiosity as to what my cost would be, they would not give me an answer so that made me very nervous. I don’t think it’s good to do business with anyone who is not transparent about the customer’s cost. Then I searched reviews and saw that the cost was $7k-10k and customers that disclosed that didn’t feel it was worth it. For those who have rated them higher, I would like to know how much they paid if they had the decompression treatment. I simply can’t afford that. They were very professional and kind to me on my visit today though.

I am a 33 year old man with a young family. When I first went to THC, my pain was a 8 out of 10, 90 percent of the time. The other 10 percent, I was at a 9 or 10. Unbearable, to the point where I could not sit, stand or lay without pain and discomfort. I was taking 800mg of ibuprofen and 500-1000mg of Tylenol, together, at least 2 to 3 times per day just to cope. And I was not pleasant to be around.... After my evaluation, the x rays showed why, and Dr. Miller really spoke directly to what I needed. It was not an overpriced pitch, or program, although they have plenty of fancy machines he could have put me on. I would have tried anything....!. Instead he showed me a handful of small things that I could do to improve my quality of life. This included specific stretches for me, an ice pack regimen, recommended fish oil supplements, and of course, regular chiropractic adjustments. After just a few visits I was feeling immense relief, and in less than 3 weeks my pain had dropped to an occasional 3-4, and I am proud to say that I no longer take pain pills for my neck and back aches. Dr. Miller delivered on his commitment to show me a better way to take care of my body. It is my responsibility to do so, and his program showed me how. Regarding the "dog and pony show" in the office, yes it can feel a little forced and over the top at times. But for the most part it is very genuine, and comes from a "customer first" mentality. Most of us simply are not used to this type of quality service anymore, and are so jaded by our society's "what's in it for me" attitude, that we cannot appreciate it when we come across it. I personally really enjoy the atmosphere, and wouldn't want it to change a bit! Kudos to you Dr. Miller, and your entire team! You should be exceptionally proud of the operation you have created, and maintain daily! And don't let me forget Dr. B.... she is amazing at not only her clinical delivery, but also her ability to connect with the patients through her humor and lighthearted nature! I like Total Health very much. I just wish Dr. Christopher Miller would consider opening a practice up north near Big Rapids. It is quite a ways for me to come for services however it is worth it as far as services go. I would like to mention that the staff is friendly. I would like to see more mature individuals handle the reception and checkout. I think with the type of servicing that Total Health offers, that it would be a benefit to the older patients that you service because they have more experience with the type of aliments that our elderly experience. When I started the program I was ready to have surgery. I could only bend part way over before feeling pain and now after 2 weeks I can bend over without feeling pain. I went into their office after seeing my doctor with a pain on my right side that kept me up all night. The only time I did not feel pain is when I was sitting upright or on my knees. My Dr. prescribed me pills and therapy which was scheduled out 3 weeks. The Dr.'s situation was just a bandage to mask the problem when I wanted to know why and a permanent fix. So I went to Total Health Chiropractic, and they did x-rays and a consultation concerning the problem. I was getting shots pain pills muscle relaxers for my lower back. I have a fusion and metal cage .I was having a lot of pain still even with the shots and the pain pills.I’ve seen the commercial for total health chiropractic on the TV with Dr. Miller and decided I wanted to try that because ,the next thing that the Pain Clinic wanted to try was stimulator in my back which meant they were going to put two strips next to my spine and send electric shocks to my body I really didn’t want to do that so I called and made the appointment . They accepted me and I have been going now for a month. I am totally free of pain I am doing everything I’m supposed to be doing and I’m seeing great results I’m very happy with everything that’s going on .I don’t want to sleep all the time like I was .I’m up and I have my life back I can do things that I couldn’t do before, I can go to the store and walk around and not have to sit down and complain about my back hurting ,because I’m not in pain anymore .I’m off my pain pills I haven’t had a pain shot for over six months and I’m seeing great results here .I would suggest this for anybody that is having pain in their back , to come in and have them check you over and see if they can help!

If you don't have a good insurance coverage, don't come here. The fee is unclear. you dont even know what are you going to be charged. Initial consultation fee $90 15min, X ray %90, second consultation $100, 15min, one adjustment $45. So, total $325 for just one initial adjustment. Two consultation seem excessive. I just need an adjustment.

This is my second go around with THC because the first time I walked out due to what I considered poor customer service. I had a coupon for $40 exam and as I was about to get the exam a family emergency popped up and I had to leave. I’m almost certain I left the coupon with the receptionist. I rescheduled the exam and explained what happened and was told they didn’t have my coupon and they wouldn’t honor it. I was furious and to make matters worse the receptionist was rude. Fast forward a few years and I received a mailer about sciatic pain which I have experienced for over 5 years. I figured I would give them a second chance. I can assure you after reading some of the reviews here, people just expect too much and look for anything to complain about. The first visit- you’re going to wait a while before you see the doctor. Wondering about insurance costs? Call your provider! Worried about the “sales pitchy” vibes? Get over it, it’s called entrepreneurship and Dr. Miller is doing an exceptional job at it! Think it’s too expensive? Go to another office that’s sub par and doesn’t offer opportunities to save money or win awesome free gifts and still charges you very close to what THC does. I’ve had three visits and each one has been an absolute pleasure! The staff is friendly and accommodating and the office is very modern and clean. The staff is informative on contests to win prizes or how to save money on your next visit (and yes this review is one way I’m going to save $15 off my next visit, however it doesn’t require a 5star rating to get the discount). That’s marketing and advertising people and it’s firing on all cylinders! In addition, they do new client dinners at Branns steakhouse and allow you to bring up to 5 guests. Of course you have to sit through their “sales pitch” and they might try to sign your guests up for services, but it’s the least you can do for some free food, right? I think Dr. Miller and staff do a great job and I highly recommend their services. And by the way, when Dr. Miller learned about my poor first experience he showed empathy and vowed that this time I would not be treated like that and if I was, to ask for him personally because that’s not how he runs his business.

It seemed that my offering medical insurance information will make little to no difference in the cost of treatment at this faciliy. I’ll look over the information provided at my first visit to know more about this facilitity’s use of updated treatment devices. I’m happy to see other reviews stating that some “old-school” chiropractic manipulation is used along with the DRX(sp?) machine. I also appreciate how they treated by wife-to-be. My first consultation appointment was amazingly welcoming and caring. My husband was with me and from the moment we entered the office we were greeted by a smiling and very cordial receptionist and directed to the waiting area where they have a huge calming fish tank. The office is tastefully decorated with a welcoming atmosphere. A staff member then escorts you throughout each room explaining what each machine is used for. You then are escorted to a waiting room, offered a refreshment n peanuts. You are given the paperwork to fill out as you wait shortly to meet with Dr. Miller. The staff then checks up on you as to any needs. Following completion of required paperwork they also run your insurance so upon your next appointment, you know exactly your Drs. plan of therapy and costs. We then were escorted to Dr. Millers office where he asks specific questions as he reviews your forms you have filled out. Dr. Miller explains his methods of nonintrusive therapy at this point. He was very sincere and took a few notations as we spoke together regarding my physical issues and my hopes to eliminate my lower back problems. Dr. Miller then walked us to an examination room where he explained my general physical problems to a physical therapist who then performed general range of motion tests. We were then escorted back to the main lobby where my next appoitment was scheduled. I like the way the professional initial visit was handled as now Dr. Miller takes the time needed to view my xrays and history prior to making decisions on the best course of therapy for me. I feel very hopeful and encouraged that he is the answer to my needs. In closing, I have sought out medical physical therapy and kiniolagist treatments with no relief spending $$ with little to no relief!! It was my lucky day when I was crying in Lowe's parking lot. The pain in my neck, shoulder and arm was worse than ever, and I decided it was the day I had to find some answers. I wasn't shopping in Lowes until I shopped for a chiropractor. A call to my insurance provider (from my car in Lowes parking lot) explained my benefits. I could choose in-network providers from their website, and that's where the positive reviews came in. I read through several comments that made me feel hopeful. Even though I live 3 hours from GR, THC was right around the corner from Lowes. I called and I was able to come in that afternoon. My primary care physician didn't help me. Physical Therapy didn't help me. No one told me what was really causing the pain; only that I had degenerative arthritis in my neck. Their X-rays and MRI led to pain clinic referral for shots in my neck...but no one said they thought they could relieve some pain with non-invasive treatments until I came here. And no one explained to me specifically what was happening in my neck...until I came here. I've only had two treatments, and I'm not magically cured, but I'm HOPEFUL that I could be on my way to less pain, more motion and a better way of life. I am a 45 year old male. When I was 13 years old I was bucked off a quarter horse, and was stepped on my lower back. When I was 35 years old. I fell out of a tree ans landed on some stumps. Which resulted with 3 herniated discs, and 2 bulging discs. I have been dealing with chronic back pain for over ten years. I have taken over 5,000 pain pills and over 2,500 muscle relaxers, 7 pain injection shots. Until my stomach couldn't handle aspirin anymore. I even tried medical marijuana, which still didn't help. I have done 4 1/2 months of therapy 4 days a week. Bought all kinds of exercise equipment to try help alleviate the pain. Nothing really worked. I have always been afraid to see a chiropractor. After exhausting all options before surgery. I called and set up appointment. This wasn't a cheap venture, but waking up everyday without pain is priceless. I had told Stacey I forgot how to smile after being in pain all the time. I been adjusted by all the doctors and felt great after the very first visit. The drx9000 , the spine-force machines , exercise program and massages worked extremely well. I am able to shoot 25 or more games of pool without pain. I recently helped roof my house. Did quarter of the tear-off, lift 48 bundles of shingle, and lift 24 sheets of plywood from the ground to the roof. I also helped roof the front half of house. I truly enjoyed walking in and Mrs. Susan knowing your name instead of a number is great. Mr Phil does great massages. Mr. Nate is very knowledgeable for exercises and the entire office. Miss Caity was always helpful. Mrs.Stacey was fun to work with. Dr. Stupak help me the most with the adjustments. Dr Broxvoort also gave me adjustments. Dr. Miller also adjusted me. Thank you all of you for be kind and caring for the patients. My only regret is I seen Dr. Millers infomercial 10 years ago and it took me so long to call, and get my life back.

Friendly staff were a little over the top for me. Almost creepy. Then my mail box had too many offers from this clinic for business...felt like harassment. Felt like I was passed off on a jr dr who did nothing for me. My issues did not get resolved. A week later I went to another dr and he did adjust my back each time I went and so far it does seem to have helped me.

Today is Monday, February 20th, and MY appointment was at 12:10PM with Dr. Candy Carter for results of Exam and X-Rays. After showing me the full set of pictures of my neck, shoulders, and back, Dr. Carter pointed-out each area showing irregularities of bones, muscles, spinal-structures-spurs and curvatures. Dr. Carter also noted the suspected cause of my left upper shoulder area pains likely to be a combination of inflammation and muscle-group fatigue and stress there. I was very please with Dr. Carter's Recommended Treatment Plan and the Pain Relief that I can expect from several weeks of In-Office Adjustments and Personal Exercise Sessions, as planned, including Home Care Recommendations. I do truly appreciate that today's Office Visit was at no cost to me because the regular fees were off-set by a $25.00 Off-Coupon for the Test Results and Recommended Treatment Plan Report.
