GREATEST CHIRO OFFICE EVER!! My sleep, anxiety, and mobility have improved immensely. Dr. Allen and the girls are SO kind and professional! Dr.Allen at Pure Wellness Chiropractic + Acupuncture is by far the best chiropractor my family and I have been to. Dr. Allen and his staff make you feel like family from your very first appointment. My kiddos (4 & 1) are always so excited to get adjusted. Every visit is relaxing and joyful for our whole family. After being adjusted my one year old always takes the best naps and sleeps so much better through the night. My 4 year old was experiencing some tooth pain, we couldn’t get her into a dentist right away and I mentioned this to Dr. Allen. He was able to adjust my daughter in a way that took her tooth pain away until we could get her to the dentist. The results really speak for themselves. I have seen Dr. Allen for several months for treatment of a pinched nerve in my neck. I was having difficulty sleeping and working at the desk because of nerve pain in my right arm. I am now sleeping soundly and the nerve pain while at the desk is a fraction of what is was before treatment. I have returned to my weight workouts and running, both of which I had stopped because of the pinched nerve. I feel pretty sure 100 percent recovery is close at hand. I offer many thanks to Dr. Allen and his staff for their caring and professional treatment. My wife has also received treatment from Dr. Allen. She experienced healing of an ankle problem that was quite miraculous! You will not be disappointed if you go to Pure Wellness!

Dr Allen has done a lot to improve the health of our family. When my 9 year old first started seeing him she was diagnosed with scoliosis and told by an orthopedic surgeon that she would need surgery or a brace. In just a few months Dr Allen was able to straighten her back. My 3 year old had seen numerous doctors for severe constipation and nothing was helping her. Dr. Allen was able to help her as well and she feels so much better. I was having numbness in my leg and pain in my hip. I can’t even explain how much better I feel now. Last August I had two pinched nerves on my back. The pain was excruciating, and I could barely walk. I had just moved to the DSM area and my doctor recommended I see Dr. Allen. As soon as I walked through the door, I noted the receptionists' heartwarming hospitality. Dr. Allen was meticulous in his assessment of my back issues and immediately devised a treatment plan. Within a couple of weeks, my back felt normal again! Nowadays I get adjusted on a bi-weekly basis, and my back hasn't felt this good since my early college days. The flexibility provided at Pure Wellness is amazing. Many times when I missed appointments, they slotted me the very next day. They will always make room for you on a given day if you walk-in regardless of when your appointment is scheduled. I went to pure wellness while pregnant and experiencing pregnancy carpal tunnel. Their website said they treat that, so that's why I chose to try it. My first appointment was normal for a chiropractor, the front desk girls were extremely personable and friendly and the chiropractor asked me about what I was experiencing and made some adjustments and then asked me to come back the next day. The next appointment and at the 4 following appointments literally only lasted 2 minutes, I'm not exaggerating. I never once was asked how I was feeling, if the adjustments were helping, etc... I've never experienced and appointment where you aren't asked how it's working and then for him to just crack me twice and say "see you tomorrow." It made me feel like they are just trying to see as many people as possible in as short amount of time as possible and they are definitely accomplishing that. If you don't want to be heard or spend time getting adjusted then this might be a good fit for you, but I didn't experience a personalized feel at all and am still shocked I was never asked if the adjustments were helping etc. Especially being pregnant, being asked how I was feeling and if it was working was really important to me....Also, their reminder texts and emails don't list the time of your appointment, that's just a small thing but the little things add up... I have since switched to Shaw chiropractic in Clive and have been very pleased. UPDATE: Dr. Allen called me after I left this review and was sincerely apologetic that I didn't have the experience I had hoped for and he was open to discussing things further and doing anything necessary to make me happy. I would suggest if anyone is unhappy to say something at that moment. I didn't and wish I would have. Thank you Dr. Allen for making things right and genuinely caring about your clients.

I had surgery for Tarsal Tunnel and Plantar fasciitis and the toes were numb started seeing Pure Wellness and Dr.Allen and when I went there we went over things etc. After the initial appointment the next appointment was amazing not only did he adjust my spine, he also adjusted my ankles, toes on both feet my knees and he pops my elbows, fingers, ears and hips and the upper ribs. He also adjust the shoulder area and stretches my ankles for better flexibility he has even done a 5000 yr old Chinese treatment of Acupuncture! I feel amazing when I leave! I think Pure Wellness is top notch and definitely worth the visit! They deserve more than five stars!!

Dr. Allen has a gift in diagnosis and treatment of spinal and joint problems. I had a severe ankle sprain over a year ago. Upon examination and reading of x-rays, doctors determined nothing more than a sprain. I was told it would just take time to heal. After additional trips to the doctor, and physical therapy for several weeks, I was still experiencing pain and limited motion. My three daughters all have seen Dr. Allen and they recommended seeing him. On my first visit to Dr. Allen, about six weeks ago, he immediately diagnosed a misalignment in the joint and corrected it in a matter of seconds. I experienced 100 percent healing and have been good to go ever since. His staff is very friendly and clearly willing and able to go the extra mile to help patients in any way.

Wellness products are good and beneficial but dr Allen doesn’t offer “extra” stuff. (Except for the wonderful biofreeze). This dr is straightforward, caring, efficient, caring, has an awesome personality and will help your family thrive by taking care of everyone in it. He has a sports background and training in acupuncture. He does some kind of acupressure (not sure if it’s called that) if needed (with a special device). You don’t feel it. My kids LOVE IT. The Dr is EXTREMELY knowledgeable about our bodies. No matter what ailments you are experiencing or, if u don’t have a specific ailment, an adjustment will benefit you. If you are breathing & moving, you will benefit from his care. Each adjustment will boost your immune system literally over 200%!!!! (more than any supplements or special drinks can do! Even though it can still be good to take in addition to your chiropractic care. Oh ...and they take ALLL kinda of insurance. Appointments can be made, however walk ins are always welcome!!! Go Now! After being treated in FL after an unfortunate car accident by I was seen by a display of different Physicians to add to my portfolio (as I call it): Chiropractor, Painful deep tissue (not at all pleasant) Massage therapy, Orthopedic, multiple Physical Therapy sessions, neurologist and lastly a Pain Management Doc.
