Had a great experience for my first time visiting a chiropractic office from start to finish I felt welcomed. Kelsey was a great help over the phone and in person. I recommend asking for paper forms if you are not quick at filling out information through your phone! Dr. Ryan made me feel comfortable enough during the consult to go ahead and proceed with further evaluation! Not to mention the knowledge and passion you can see he gives. He was very reassuring. Ended the consultation with a nice massage and the gentlemen who helped with that had great bedside manner, caring and even offered help while I was sitting up. It’s the smallest things that make the difference and you can really see it in office. One thing I noticed while waiting is another patient came in and Dr. Ryan came out and said hi and really cared about how the patients new fit was! This gave it a really home feeling knowing you can walk in and say Hi without having to have an appointment or be on the schedule! If all works out I believe I found a Chiro home! Can’t wait to follow up!

I started taking my 2 month old son to whole Family Chiropractic just to help him be more comfortable. He had 3 adjustments and I noticed the clicking while he nurses has reduced dramatically, he’s not as gassy and pooping has become easier for him! My daughter is almost 4 months old. She wasn’t sleeping well, no naps longer than 30 mins during the day. Up almost every two hours and was just uncomfortable. And she wasn’t rolling over from back to belly. I knew what to do... contact Dr.Jessica. Previously, I had taken my middle child to her when he was first born because he wouldn’t turn his head to the left. and really struggled with nursing. After just one adjustment he had mobility back in his neck. I’ve seen how dramatically this helps babies. Needless to said, I had my almost 4 month old adjusted by Dr.Jessica. The improvement was shocking. My daughter went to sleep that night and slept for 7 hours STRAIGHT. Then, that next morning while I was getting ready for work, I put baby down on her tummy time mat.. she IMMEDIATELY rolled over. I rolled her back to have her try again to see if it was a fluke. On Monday I totally messed up my back trying to vacuum my car. I have never slipped a disc before. I immediately drove over to see Dr. Ryan by the time I got there I could barely walk. I had to have two adjustments on Monday and Tuesday and their PA had to give me a couple of injections and on Wednesday I was 90% better. Today is Friday and I was able to return to the gym and workout. I can stand up without a pelvic tilt. I feel great. Dr. Ryan and the team really treat you right. We have been to more than a few Chiropractors in Anchorage in hopes to find relief for our chronic body alignment issues. Initially when you walk in you are greeted by all the staff- you wait actively by doing some body alignment warm ups, and then the staff gently guides you through the process as your turn comes up. From personal experience as a mother of a child who had chronic ear infections, digestive issues, and growing pains, multiple surgeries and frequent ER visits throughout the years: well, since starting Chiropractic care- he hasn't had as many of those problems. And with the doctors at Whole Family Chiropractic- Dr. Jessica being the ONLY board Certified Pediatric and pregnancy Chiropractor in the state of Alaska- she really knows what she is doing: together with her husband they make a beautiful team to get not only our son but our " Whole Family" aligned. Dr. Ryan's approach is professional and very intuitive to each persons needs- very knowledgeable in what they are doing and the care plans that are individual are comprehensive and easy to understand. They do not over load you with information but rather teach you about your body and you do not leave their office feeling like someone "gipped you" a bunch of money. There is so much more positives I can speak on their behalf but you've got to try it yourselves. If you want to solve your pain problems at their roots and not just mask them or get temporary relief- start your journey to recovery through Whole Family Chiropractic! Something Dr. Jessica said that really stuck out to me was, “You wouldn’t let your dentist start drilling in your teeth without X-Rays right? Whole Family Chiropractic has completely changed my life!!! I have had hip, back, and neck pain for almost as long as I can remember. From riding horses, to cheerleading in high school, to working as a certified nursing assistant for 8 years, I had sustained quite a few injuries and I had begun living with daily pain and discomfort. Whole family, whole body! This is the place to go. They don't just adjust you and ignore the underlying issues as some chiropractors may do. They assess your whole body starting with the skeletal system (yes, x-rays of your spine is first step, as it should be). Then they build you customized exercises and home care programs so that you can actually work on the muscles and structures to get you back into alignment and not just rely on the adjustments. They contact your insurance and tell you from the beginning what to expect for cost. You are welcome to bring your kids which is so helpful for actually being able to keep your appointments. The whole staff is great!

I can’t say enough good things about Dr Ryan and Dr Jessica at Whole Family Chiropractic! I started seeing Dr Ryan for debilitating low back pain. He was able to correct my subluxations, which eliminated my back pain and improved my posture and flexibility. I transferred to Dr Jessica, who supported me through my IVF journey, pregnancy, and post-natal recovery. She helped me maintain good pelvic balance and supported me through any discomfort in my back, hips, or joints, while also providing recommendations on supplements to assist with various pregnancy symptoms. Dr Jessica was able to correct his torticollis and provided guidance and support to me as I navigated at-home tongue stretches following his tongue tie release. I got into a car accident about 5 months ago and it was a pretty bad accident. My body was in great pain from my neck down to my lower back. I would also have tremendous head aches. I was in despair I did not know what to do until two of my great friends recommended for me to see Dr. Ryan. I went through therapy with Dr. Ryan for about 3 months almost 4. Been going here for about 2 years. Before I started I could barely be on my feet for over 30 minutes without the pain in my lower back hurting so badly I would dry heave. It was a chore getting out of bed and would take 15 minutes to stand straight after going bathroom. I’ve been to several chiropractors in the past and never really trusted them. They would just throw me on the table, do a quick adjustment and send me on my way. One of them even told me that she couldn’t believe my back was so bad when it was attached to such a healthy neck. Come to find out, after visiting Dr. Ryan, that my neck was so unhealthy, it was actually causing my back pain. Dr. Ryan doesn’t just throw you up, adjust you and send you on your way. He takes x-rays, requires you to fill out several pages of questions about yourself(probably the most painful part of the experience, but I understand it’s necessity), sits you down and does a few exercises with you and then takes a few days to study your case to see if he has the capabilities to help you fix your specific issue. If he believes he can do it, he comes up with a program made for your case to help correct your back. He doesn’t just treat your pain by throwing you on a table tho. He explains, in detail, what is wrong and why you are feeling the pain. He then gives you the understanding, excersizes and tools to take your corrective care into your own hands and assists you in achieving your goal. He not only gives you the care you need for your visits, but also the tools to continually progress your treatment at home. Since then, I have my life back. I’m finally back in the gym, hiking without slowing down my friends and able to live without pain. I know some people have issues trusting Chiropractors, I still don’t trust them, but Dr. Ryan is in a league of his own. So if you’re tired of suffering with back pain, I can promise you that you have nothing to lose, and everything to gain by paying a visit to Whole Family Chiropractic.

I have been to a few different chiropractors around the state and would recommend WFC above all others. While I believe that every chiropractor I have been to has cared for my health and wellbeing, I feel that WFC excels in many areas. The staff that greets you are friendly, helpful, and competent. I have never felt like I was an inconvenience to the personnel at the front desk. They are always willing to answer my questions about treatments, payments, or will get somebody who can. I have often been stuck in waiting rooms in excess of 30 minutes at other offices and have felt the need to go looking for somebody to make sure I wasn't forgotten. There is no waiting room at WFC. The wait times are much shorter and are usually spent doing warm ups. The entire atmosphere of the office is very positive and inviting. No matter how busy Dr. Ryan is, he always wants to take the time to listen to your concerns and find a method to resolve the issue. I have never left the office without having my pain eliminated, or a plan in place to work towards recovery. The care you will receive at WFC goes beyond alignments; the staff has a genuine interest in promoting wellness in many different facets. They offer well researched free clinics on topics like healthy eating and cancer prevention. The time you spend at WFC feels like a carefully choreographed and integrated session. From check-in to warm-ups, getting an alignment and further treatments, the whole process is smooth and you are never left feeling like you are wandering around the office. I would highly recommend this office to anyone.

What a great experience i have had at Whole Family. They have worked wonders for not only myself but my 3 month old son as well. I started going there when i was about 18 pregnant. I had horrible sciatic nerve pain in ny lower back and then it moved to my leg. I was unable to sleep and had a hard time working. I went once a week through the rest of my pregnancy and thanks to Dr. Jessica i was able to sleep (the best i could being pregnant) and i was also able to continue working (hairdressing) through my whole pregnancy. I also had tingling in my hands (not due to pregnancy) and whatever magic they worked on me that is been completely gone. My 3 month had a rough few months of life. He had horrible acid reflux, extremely painful gas, and wasnt pooping daily (i know people say thats normal for babies but i know how i feel when i dont go everyday). Dr. Jessica not only started adjusting him (6 times now) but she also put him on a few vitamins and let me tell you i have a completely different baby. He can for the first time in 3 months lay flat on his back without having any acid reflux problems, goes poop daily and is also to pass his gas without screaming bloody murder because it is so painful. I HIGHLY recommend both Dr. Jessica and Dr. Ryan. They have done so much for my family making us much happier and healthier.

Office is light and calming to be in. There is this calming and yet up - beat music blaring through out the waiting area. It's almost as if you have taken a walk into an office that would be somewhere in California only available for "A-Listers". All of the staff is welcoming and full of smiles. I have only seen Dr. Ryan - twice. One of the appointments were dedicated to taking x - rays of my posture. Instantly, he recognized that I have some issues with my posture but noted that all of it could be remedied. My second appointment was to have an adjustment and discuss what my x - rays had revealed. I was told that one of my legs were shorter, this caused me to shift my weight and I have 5 subluxations through out my back. I was given two options, to continue having adjustments that would help with the pain or pay for a special "rehab" package that could not only help with pain but not really fix anything. Of course, the rehab package cost over a thousand dollars but this was emphasized to be a necessity for my health. I agree that we should spend money on keeping our bodies healthy but I do not agree with raising my cortisol levels to do it. I will not be returning because of my busy schedule and inability to rationalize paying that kind of money but maybe down the line I will get a better paying job and will return. There is a lot of available education here, if you are able to attend weekly classes on Thursdays. I'm just not ready to drink the kool - aid and call it good. Oh, & they are a Blue Cross Blue Shield preferred provider which is a plus.

The majority of my experience with Dr Jessica has been for prenatal visits during pregnancy, first to relieve soreness and lower back stiffness, then continuing visits to adjust my lower back/hips to keep a straight aligned pelvis for a quicker, smoother delivery of baby. Now...I'd never considered going to a chiropractor in my life, until back in 2013 when my provider suggested it for the stiffness and sore tailbone. And it was my first pregnancy, and she suggested that the Webster method (Dr Jessica's specialty) could ease delivery...and apparently my mom had had a long 36 hour labor with me and I wanted to avoid THAT kind of experience... so I said, sure, why not, and asked if it would hurt, hah. Within 3 visits I got used to walking out of there feeling taller and freer and really came to like it. But the REAL kicker (and why I went back to Dr Jessica last winter) was when it came for baby to make her debut. I felt queasy at 9 at night, got in the warm water sometime around 10:30, and ta-da, out popped baby just before 1! No drugs, hypnosis, woo-woo anything. To finish the story, last winter I started going back to Dr J for baby #2 when I got within 8 or 10 weeks of delivery-day. That baby slipped out in three pushes. At home in the tub. One hour from start to finish. I may have been skeptical at first, but I'm a believer in chiro, or at least Dr Jessica and the Webster method, now! :D
