Omg! Whether you’re going for a run or just want a quick bite to eat.. This place is literally a hidden gem! I’m not exactly sure how I’ve never been here lol I went with my boyfriend during my lunch break & I have to say it’s amazing! We got the chili, Caesar salad, tuna wrap, and house made Turkey wrap with macaroni salad & chips! Whoa! 5/5 forsure! Now this is not really a high end restaurant but the service & atmosphere is outstanding as if! I love the fact that the owner works shifts here as well. You would never know because everyone treats the customers extremely nice. I’ll definitely be back💓 in the meantime, you have to try for yourself! They have both outdoor & indoor seating as well.

Cosmi's is a solid contender for best hoagie maker in the city. The Sicilian sandwich is a thing of beauty. The chewy seeded roll, generous helping of meats, soft sharp provolone, exceptionally flavorful tomatoes, crisp spinach, delicately sliced mild onions, and melt-in-your-mouth roast peppers — magnificent. The price was right for this beast of a sandwich (I was full after half) and the friendly service from the guy at the front counter was top-tier. There's a great selection of drinks and desserts as well. A san pellegrino and tiramisu were the perfect accompaniments to my dinner.

Best place for a good sandwich in South Philly. I have tried their chicken cutlet sandwich and a few of the hoagies from the deli and they were all great. You get a very fair portion for the price. The seeded rolls are immaculate and a must!! A small hoagie is more than enough for me, a large is definitely big enough to share. I have not tried their cheesesteaks yet but have heard nothing but good things. Their hours and location are very convenient and they have a very friendly staff. 10/10 definitely recommend!!

A must hit on your Philly cheese steak bingo card. All the ingredients were incredibly fresh and well proportioned. A lot of options including Cooper sharp cheese and the seeded roll. Service was 11/10. Definitely will return to explore the rest of the menu.

A South Philly classic! Everything on the menu is amazingly good! Their Italian hoagie is iconic! Their homemade chicken salad is delicious! For tourists - beware, the neighborhood location is super tight, no parking - order ahead, or choose delivery. Cosmi's is super-legit!

We went Cosmi's and got sandwiches to take home, a chicken cheese steak and a chicken cutlet sandwich. Everyone in the store was really nice and seemed to care, the store was clean. The food was so good, a few days later we ordered food for delivery and were very disappointed. Both of the sandwiches were made wrong and were no where near as good as the first visit and with delivery fees 2 chicken cutlet sandwiches were over $30. Next time we're in the area, we may try them again but no more delivery.

If you were to ask me what the most reliable takeout spot in South Philly is I would tell you Cosmi’s Deli. I have tried so many items on their menu and not one ever let me down. They’re a solid spot with five star service. EVERY TIME I have ordered from Cosmi’s the order was delivered quickly and piping hot. This place is a no brainer.

So, I was super hungry today and only had five bucks. I looked in the fridge and behold, I had baby spinach, kumato tomatoes, mayo and spicy brown. Looked in the bread box and had some Dave's killer bread, good seed. All I was missing was meat and cheese. Hmm, what do I do. I call Cosmis Deli. I'm on earp so it's a quick walk. The young lady on the phone was super nice. I Asked if I could buy five bucks of sharp provy and some roast beef. She said come on by and it'll be waiting for you. Ten minutes later I made a sandwich with my beautiful pile of meat and cheese. Thanks Cosmis. You saved the day and filled my hungry belly!!! Bravo for being my local deli that rocks.

Great spot in South Philly. They have a large menu. Seating is provided while you wait for your order. The staff is friendly and the store is clean. The portions are very big. They also have pastries and a good selection of beverages. Overall, a good experience. I would order from them again.

Hit-or-miss. Better when you pick it up vs. delivery. The chicken & waffle tots are awesome! Also tried the buffalo chicken tots they weren't too good but the cheesesteaks are very solid and they don't skimp on the meat like some places.

Love this place. Call once a week, at least. Meatball or Italian sometimes, but my go-to is the chicken tender platter. 2 meals for 1 person. Great soda collection. Once the staff offered a suggestion halfway through my sandwich's prep, just a little wisdom for me, which of course I accepted and was glad with. Just pro's pros in there. My home field.

It’s everything you want in a Deli and is the epitome of what Philadelphia has to offer. Cosmo’s was great, quick, and at a fair price. Got an Italian hoagie with everything on it and a chicken caprese sandwich and both were fantastic, even as leftovers. Would not hesitate to come back my next trip to Philly or recommend it to anyone visiting.

Good food just don't use Uber Eats when ordering delivery, it's very slow and the delivery people always say there's issues with them picking up orders from here, so just pick it up yourself. Ordered here 3 times now and there has always been some sort of issue. My last delivery guy was there for almost 1 hour waiting, I felt so bad. why does it take so long to make 2 hoagies???????? ridiculous. Every other place I order from gets here so fast, very little to no waiting. this place has good food but is just not equipped enough to handle high volume delivery orders for whatever reason. Or they're intentionally slow because they hate making food for the delivery services and giving them a %. If that's the case take yourselves off the platforms already! I shouldn't be waiting over an hour to get 2 hoagies delivered less than 1 mile away! trust me people, just pick the food up yourself!

Great food, great service. This small corner store deli is a fantastic find. It's only a few blocks from the more famous cheesteak places, but is way better! It also has a massive menu featuring vegetarian and vegan options. So if you want variety and good service Cosmis is the place to go! Carryout only, takes cards.

Such great customer service. I had made an error and didn’t tell them I wanted a fried egg on my sandwich instead and they were so accommodating. They made a new one for me. I offered to pay for it but they said not to worry about that. They didn’t have an item I ordered so they included a drink free of charge. The hoagies are delicious and are more than fairly priced. The portion size of everything was relatively good as well. Even though they are a renowned deli, I feel the best thing I had was the wings. My one critique is that the blue cheese for the wings is borderline sweet and doesn’t compliment the wings that well.

Cosmi’s is the real deal of neighborhood joints. Each time I’ve been in, the big guy behind the counter has engaged customers in conversation, spoken warmly and appropriately to kids if they’re there, greeted dogs, and made it clear that they will make you the sandwich you need to satisfy your craving. I’m a South Philly Italian fan, but Cosmi’s is known for its cheesesteaks, cutlet supreme, and Italian variations. I’ll always stop by if I’m in the neighborhood.

I went to Cosmi's at the recommendation of a co worker who used to live in Philly. She said it was a small hole in the wall with the best non greasy cheese steaks in Philly. So I went with my wife and two kids and noticed that it is indeed a small hole in the wall, with an emphasis on small. They had two card tables, one sat four and the other two, small folding chairs that came with the card tables most likely. Cosmi's is a convenience store with a deli of hot and cold foods. My wife and I got the cheese steaks and my kids a hot dog, we also got fries. The cheese steaks are the best I've had, nice and juicy meat, cheese melted evenly throughout, nice crisp bread. The hotdogs were also quite good, all beef. Fries were better than I expected, nothing great, but better than your typical takeout. So, obviously, this place isn't fancy, and it's not a comfortable to eat in. But it still has its small neighborhood charm, just listening to the locals come in and talk while they wait for their orders is fun to hear everything going on. But ultimately, you come here for the cheese steaks (or based on the crowd, many of their other choices), and you will not be disappointed. To top it off, while you were here and lucky enough to find a spot to park, walk a block to the Termini Brothers Bakery down the street.

Subs are good, with fresh ingredients. We had a party catered from here, too. The food was really good, but it wasn't ready when they said it would be. Not a huge deal, but we had to go back a few hours later after having everything kind of planned out based around the time. I didn't call the day ahead, which I think I would do if I ordered from there again, just to kind of remind them of the time. But, in the end, the food was good and was a party pleaser, so all's well that ends well.

I finally made it in, and was not disappointed at all. I saw them on TV awhile ago, and said to myself how could I miss this place, been to all the other places immediately around them. Had the Cosmi Special sandwich, definitely recommended, so many good options to choose from on the menu as well. There are a couple tables with chairs if you decide to dine in. Staff was very friendly and helpful too. Check out the bakery down the street afterwards.

I was told to go here instead of the "classic" Philly places that tourists usually go, and it was fantastic! We talked with the owner a bit, and he was extremely friendly. The Philly's were absolutely perfect. I've been told that you should eat your sandwich in the shop (turns out, cheesesteak sandwiches aren't as good cold). They offer plenty of other things besides cheesesteaks, but we came for the classic and got that.

First time there. Walked in..everyone in the back were super busy. Thats always a good sign. After a minute..a guy in a bandana, mask, and glasses took my order. Only waited about 10 mins. Had a chance to enjoy enlarged photos of the original owners. History fascinates me. My turkey and cheese hoagie was excellent. Fresh and neatly wrapped in seeded bread hoagie roll. Lots of choices too. Will be returning soon!

The cheese steak is delicious here. They use a different bread that is crunchier than the typical soft flaky rolls in most places in Philly. Lots of flavor and juicy. Staff was nice to.

My favorite cheesesteak in Philly, and thus in the world, is at Cosmi’s. I recommend Cheesesteak with seeded bread, sharp provolone, and long hots. There are a couple of small tables if you want to eat on-site, but most people seem to do takeout.

Nice little deli that made some great breakfast sandwiches. While I waited, the perused the deli case and purchased some deli meat, cheese, rolls, drinks, all while chatting with the owner. Went in for an early lunch, the guys were friendly and polite. My order was taken and it was turned around very quickly, exactly as I wanted it. I ordered a cheese steak with onions and provalone, it was hot, the meat was juicy, and the cheese was melted throughout. Tasted great and was more than worth my 15 minute walk. I even got back to find that my siblings were having some delivered via grubhub, even though I had asked if they wanted some before I left. Either way, it was delicious and I will be craving more until my next visit.

This place is the absolute best place for cheesesteaks in South Philly. Friendly, courteous staff, almost triple the meat in their cheesesteaks compared to the others around, wide variety of choices, and the bread is always fresh. I would never go anywhere else!

I have only been coming here for about a year however my family has been going here since it opened. It's a great little place to get burgers or wraps and even though they recently slimmed down the menu it is still packed with enticing and downright devilish delectables. I would give them a 5 star but I am a BIG fan of wings and they recently took them off the menu and when I confronted them about it they had no explanation.

Great family owned business and has been a landmark here for years. The owner and employees are great people and always friendly. For example I moved to the area about a year ago and left my wallet on their counter. With no contact info, the owner made every attempt to track me down. He found my appointment card and called my doctor's to have them reach out to me. Leon would not even take anything I offered for the trouble. Good people like that are so hard to find now a days.

Owner couldn't have been more Friendlier and helpful and the Sandwiches where absolutely Delicious I had a regular cheesesteak and my Nephew had the chicken cheesesteak both full of meat and cooked perfectly I took home an Italian Hoagie and ate it 14 hrs later it was just as delicious....definitely worth the 30 min drive and tolls... will be back again
