I love Bentley’s! The minute you step foot in the place, the whole entire staff treats you like you’re family. The food is so flavorful, comes out fresh and hot, and my order is always right. They have hookah and BYOB which is my favorite part. The waitress I had yesterday was Nana and she was so attentive, entertaining, and respectful. She made my experience 10x better. I also been here for multiple events and there’s even an option to rent out the space for your event. 10/10 definitely recommend!

My husband and I where on vacation and discovered this hidden gem. The atmosphere was soothing as well as the food we ordered. I ordered oxtails with a side of kale greens and mac n cheese and it was cooked /prepared/served to perfection! My husband ordered chicken wings and fries which where juicy, sweet and tender. This is definitely on our must eats list when we are in town. (Wish they had a location in Dallas, lol) Thanks again Bentleys of NJ for your exception service and immaculate food!

20/10, atmosphere the bombbbbbbbbb! Music lit hookah lit BUSSIN ! food lit! Directly off the highway, easy parking , very friendly. You can dress up or dress down you’ll fit right in. I’ll defiantly be back, from Paterson. Love it! Oh yeah Mimosa isn’t water. Bring your own. This is the spot . Devil eggs taste just like my grandmas . Didn’t even taste my banana pudding yet & I know it’s goodt!

What can I say about this restaurant is the food is DELICIOUS!!!!!! I had got the grilled shrimp over rice with the collard greens and candied yams.. IT WAS SOOOOO GOOD THAT I WAS TRYING TO MAKE IT LAST FOR TWO MEALS BUT, I KEPT PICKING AT IT!! The shrimps were well seasoned!! IF I COULD GIVE THIS RESTAURANT 10 STARS I WOULD!!! I will be back to try more on the menu🥰🥰🥰🥰

My great friend Stephanie & I went to this restaurant, and we were BLOWN AWAY by the EXCELLENT customer service!!! The manager, Mike (who preferred to be called "Mikey") was more than kindhearted, & exceptional in ensuring we had a phenomenal experience!! WHEN you go, you've got to have that Rasta Pasta!! I wanted to ask the cook for a personal pan to take home!! The food and the service is honestly one of a kind, and it is RARE to find both in full excellence!!! YOU WANT TO VISIT HERE!!

Nice new spot in Newark. Had the Bentley BBQ burger and the Mac n Cheese. Both were delicious! BYOB is a nice touch though as the end of the night was approaching, the wait staff discarded some drinks that weren't finished. Would be nice to assume that if people are still around the table, even if they are dancing & mingling, that they want to finish their drinks. Other than that small hiccup, it was a decent night of food & dance! Will definitely be back to try more of their menu items.

I totally enjoyed myself from the welcoming the quality of food and the courteous from the staff Deidral was super nice and made sure I was comfortable and Brianna made sure my lobster Mac was on point I am a foodie chef I do all of the cooking around the house myself and 90% of the food shopping for my six kids and Wife this is by far one of the best spots I will make sure I stop here any time I’m in Newark all love from Philadelphia …. Oh yeah can’t forget the hookah and bring your own bottle sheeesh it gets no better!!!!

The 1st time I ordered it was good but not great. The crab cakes were seared just a bit too much. But I had to give them another try and OMG! So glad I did. I knew they were good but the crab cakes were perfectly seared and absolutely delicious! This place may be the place where I gain my quarantine weight lol I can't wait to try everything on their menu. 1st pic is the 1st time vs last night. YUM! YUM! YUM!

The comedy show was excellent. BYOB is a good choice. Small venue, young 30 and under crowd. Not a mature crowd. Lobster Mac and cheese was ok, but not enough lobster.

My sister and I went to Bentley’s last night and had the most amazing time! The food was phenomenal and the service was excellent. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries (best burger I’ve had in a long time) and my sister had the Turkey wings with Mac and cheese and yams. She kept raving about her meal! The establishment is BYOB, which was fine and they had Hookah! Our server was Tia and she was so sweet! She told us about the weekly events (karaoke night, comedy night, etc) and I can’t wait to go back!

AWESOME place to have a GREAT TIME!!!!!!! Our hostess Des was really on point. We were her first guest as she was new but she was AMAZING! Very attentive and made sure we were good! Saturdays is karaoke and the DJ was going on with the music unfortunately some songs were unavailable but no big deal it was the vibes that set it off! Now the food, My friend and I ordered the oxtails and rice. The oxtails were underwhelming because they were HARD didn’t have any tenderness to them which was disappointing and I really wish they served the honey cornbread with the entrees instead of as an app. My other friend got the shrimp and she said it wasn’t seasoned right and she was going to take it home and season them. The food takes a LONG TIME to come out and I’ve been here 2 times so far and both time the food took forever to come out. But if you’re looking to have a great time with some friends from out of town for drinks hookah and laughter this is the place to be! The food however could use a little more pizazz!

Customer service was really polite and professional. I was in the area working and wanted to try a new restaurant. I ordered their Southern Fried Chicken that was clearly unique from the first look to the last bite. The taste was so good I wanted to write them a review. The soulful sides, candied yams, and Mac and cheese were so good I know I smiled a few times. I also order the fried jumbo shrimp. When I tell you the shrimp are jumbo I mean colossal, so flavorful and crispy to a perfection. I really enjoyed my experience and most certainly will return to try other selections. They know how to cook here!!!

Came here and had the chicken and grits. The food is superb and delicious! The staff is fun to be around and provide excellent service. I came here on June 24th when they had their first drag show and it was a hit with me! The DJ did a wonderful job with the music. The drag queens slayed and we had two birthday girls that did the “walk, walk, walk!” It was sooooooo much fun. It felt like it was my birthday lol. Highly recommended! You won’t regret it. It was a fabulous way to end my week. Thanks Bentleys! Blessings and prosperity to everyone in the establishment.

My first time experience here was memorable. From the vibes, the poets spitting and sanging too. Got to rock on stage myself and the people were very welcoming and supportive, and encouraging. This is my spot. The food is always delicious, the music is great, the hookah is good, and it’s BYOB, which I love! The service is a bit slow, but the food is worth it, so I can’t complain. I usually have a great time, but I just recently had my first negative experience here when they charged me $4 for cups of ice and that kind of bothered me.

When I visit Newark NJ again I would definitely return. The Chicken wings, corn bread, macroni and cheese were delicious. The potato salad was awful. The service was excellent. The nonalcoholic drinks were actually really good. However, I wished that they served alcohol drinks. It was BYOB at a restaurant. Never heard of bringing your own alcohol to a restaurant maybe it's a NJ thing.😁

Interesting ambiance has hookah lounge inside. My only complaint is for the price the wings could of been whole wings rather than wingettes.

Everything I ordered was delicious, the empanadas, turkey wings, sides...EVERYTHING My guests absolutely loved the food and kept asking for more. Chef Jarrett did his thing. The food wrong initially but i called the Rest and the owner immediately replace what was missing buy delivering it to me. He also thew in some dessert. This was my first time being treated so nice by a Rest in NJ. The food was excellent and i was satisfied. Thank you for being kind . My coworkers and i will order from this place every chance we get. Bentleys is such a vibe!! I love hearing good music and enjoying great food with my people. I usually go on a Friday night but I've also been to brunch in the past.The salmon dish is A1!! The crab cakes are really good! Honestly I don't think I've had a dish yet that I didn't like. My friend is still raving about the rasta pasta she had when we went. You may need a lil extra time to find parking but I won't take away a star for that because the food makes up for it! Definitely recommend!❤

Stayed in an Air B&B across the street. One of the best moments I had on the 6 days I was in NY/NJ (I know that's a bold statement but the trip was tough with my co-travellers). I won't do a full-on critique here, but this place is definitely worth your try. A friend and I ordered Hennessy wings, turkeys legs, and salmon cakes. All were good. The side of macaroni was just ok. The mashed potatoes were on the bitter side. What I loved most is the atmosphere and the customer service. Will definitely be going back to try the other menu items.

I am all for supporting black businesses, but my experience at Bentleys was not a great one! 😕 You could not tell who actually worked there, Our waiter was that's nice but when it came time to Service, some items we requested he said it would be too hard for him for him to open up a package and to fill up whatever needed to be filled up to bring over the item that we requested so we basically didn't get what we wanted not that they didn't have it the waiter said that it would be too hard and it will take too much time.🤷🏾‍♀️ From the twerking to the butt smacking, by The people who work there and their friends, I was done! 🤦🏾‍♀️. The food was just OK some items were underseasoned could've stayed home but I will say the fried shrimp was fried really well and the Empanadas were great. Maybe they had an off night I don't know 🤷🏾‍♀️but I don't think I'll make a trip back to Bentley's to find out! "Please beware if you do dine in you will pay an automatic 15% gratuity whether service is good or not"

I was very unsatisfied with my food from Bentley’s. I had heard around town they have one of the best Rasta pastas. I was so excited to try it and then I did and I regretted it. It was not like any other Rasta pasta I had taste before. It was dry the sauce did not coat the penne like others I tasted before and was under seasoned. Omg and the lobster was so bland on top I was very disappointed. I did other Henny wings on the side just in case and that was good, I just wished it was crispier but other then that it was ok. However, what I was hoping would be the star of the show ( the lobster Rasta pasta) ended up being a big disappointment.

By far the best soul food place I’ve had. This place is rapidly becoming one of the hottest spots in Newark! The food is amazing! Make sure you get the Hennessey BBQ wings, Lobsta’ Rasta Pasta or even the Jumbo Lump Crab cakes! The weekend vibe is awesome as well! They do Saturday and Sunday Brunch oftentimes with a lit DJ and you may get Karaoke on Tuesday and Saturday nights! They also provide hookah service! I love the vibe there! You will NOT be disappointed!
