Reviews of The Loveless Cafe

No wait for this place is too long! What a great experience. There is a lot of history inside the Loveless cafe. Everything about loveless cafe is awesome. The old neon sign, the shops, the service and of course the food. From the hostess to our server Trent, everyone was so nice and friendly. As far as the food, I will simply say, it is damn good! The biscuits, phenomenal, the blackberry preserves, incredible, the sides, perfect. The fried chicken, juicy, the country fried steak, delicious. Yes, of course I got the banana pudding and as full as I was I almost ate the whole thing. That’s how good this place is. I can’t wait to go back and get breakfast. God Bless Loveless Cafe!!
Andrew
I really enjoyed my breakfast here. The biscuits really are amazing. They bring out a plate of them as soon as you sit down and I'm sure we could have asked for more. My country ham was awesome and the pulled pork was very tasty. Service was fast and friendly. I would come here somewhat regularly if I lived in the area. I'd come more often if it was a little cheaper. Also, you can get their biscuits at the gas station next door, so you don't need to go inside and sit down for a full meal to try them. I'll be taking this route next time I am there.

The place seems a little touristy, but it is worth eating at. The food is really good. We especially liked the Nashville hot chicken tenders, fried green tomatoes, and chess pie. Of course the biscuits and jelly are a great way to start the meal.
The service was outstanding. The prices are quite reasonable. You won't leave hungry.

Loveless Cafe in Nashville is a must-visit for anyone looking for authentic Southern cuisine. The menu features classic dishes like biscuits and gravy, fried chicken, and meatloaf, all made with the freshest ingredients and cooked to perfection. The restaurant has a cozy and rustic atmosphere, with vintage decor and friendly staff. The biscuits are a standout item, with a flaky exterior and a soft, buttery interior. The sides, like macaroni and cheese and collard greens, are also delicious and complement the main dishes perfectly. Overall, Loveless Cafe is a delightful dining experience and a true taste of Nashville. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed the food at this restaurant. Especially the biscuits with the grape and peach jam. The decor was vintage and beautiful. We were amazed of all the different singers, politicians and athletes that ate there. Thumbs up 👍 to the Loveless Cafe! …

Long wait to be seated. Recommend reservation well in advance. Maria served us and she was very personable and fun, despite being swamped. I had chicken fried steak with gravy, scrambled eggs, and hash brown casserole. The steak cut easily with a butter knife. I have lived in Nashville about 13 years and finally made it here. I will be back.

Great place to visit for sure. We do love their biscuits but other food are amazing too!!! We had to wait for 40 minutes to be seated, but it's all worth it. That made our breakfast into brunch.
Troy Amer
Had to wait 30 minutes but the wait was worth it. You start off with fresh biscuits and jam. Had a Blue Moon which was moonshine with blueberries and lemon and sprite. Very good! Also had a fried chicken salad, also really good, and fresh! Quite a lot of history here and a tourist stand as well. Definitely worth a visit when you're in Nashville!
Pinup Pixie
Absolutely worth the wait! When you’re craving the perfect southern breakfast, grits and all, this place hits the spot!
There are a TON of people when you get there, but the kitchen really does get the food out as quick as they can. I really enjoyed looking at all the celebrity photos up front, and didn’t mind the wait. The grits were so amazing that I bought a bag from the adorable gift shop 🥰

A very very busy and crowded place even on a Friday afternoon with a reservation. We had to wait even though we reserved and came well ahead of time. Loveless cafe is known for its fresh biscuits and although the biscuits just didn’t disappoint Loveless being a southerner spot just didn’t have any adequate veggie options. Yes I am aware Nashville is a hot and fried chicken city but not everyone prefers meat and I had a hard time choosing non meat options on the menu and ended up with Pimento Cheese N' Fried Green Tomato Biscuit and sides of fried okra with coleslaw.
Overall the biscuits were the show stealer and I enjoyed every bit of it. Be prepared for long wait times!

Music City Platter of 2 eggs any style, protein, choice of fresh toast, pancakes, grits or hash brown casserole. Fresh strawberries too. Biscuits complementary with 2 jams to start. All very good. Only complaint is the portion of country ham was small.
Kim Johnson
Came across them while watching social media videos and they did not disappoint. Seated quickly, food served just as fast and it was delicious. Out waitress, Anna, was the sweetest. She so much extra time with us giving us suggestions for out visit here to Nashville. We will for sure stop by again if we are in the area.
Nicole Armstrong
This was on my must eats list but we heard the wait was insane and it was a little out of the way from Nashville however , my BF surprised me and took me here anyhow … This place is amazing , well worth the wait and is ALL the hype and then some . Chicken crispy , moist , golden and delicious . Biscuits n jam .. buttery , fluffy and everything you need them to be. By far one of THE best meals we had while there. If you were not planning on making your way here , change your itinerary you will not be sorry!
Kristin Brown
Breakfast was delicious! I loved the location and the biscuits are..... AMAZING. The only thing that made me disappointed was the fact our food came out super fast .... but overall I would go back again when I'm in the area.

Everything is delicious. Ultra fast service to a table and even quicker recording the food one ordered. Hot and fresh food. Great atmosphere, great staff. Lives up to everything you've heard about it. Will return next time I'm in town.

4 ⭐️- worth the wait
We braved the 4th of July crowd without reservations for our weekend guests. Though we still had to wait for an hour, the wait was worth it even just for the biscuits alone. They do have a small store, some games and live entertainment to help pass the time.
Our server was fantastic and all
our food came as we have requested. Fried Chicken, Country fried steak and chicken tenders along with their sides were really good.
Heather Kir
Besides being well known for their biscuits (which are delish)! Everything I had there was amazing! So much, we drove there 3 times while on vacation and it was our last meal in TN. Highly recommend!
Alex Resendez
Went for the breakfast but got the brisket instead with Mac and cheese and French fries.
It was great the brisket was flavorful and moist with a very nice bark. Mac and Cheese was excellent very well made. French fries were fried well and very well seasoned.
Got some biscuits while I was waiting for the main meal that was a nice surprise very good
The sweet tea tasted very ordinary like it was store bought was disappointing.
Had to wait 45 minutes for a seat so get there well before you’re actually hungry. There was live music which was nice.

Love it here. The staff is very welcoming. Food came out nice and hot. The biscuits were so good. Our waitress was awesome. She made us a list of places to visit. 10/10 would recommend.

So this was my first time here. And it was GREAT, First the biscuits. OMG they were great and the strawberry preserves were my favorite.I had the 2 pork chops, cream corn and grits and when I say those pork chops were tender you can cut them with a fork. The cream corn was wonderful and the grits were so creamy. Kenna and Virginia were very friendly and knowledgeable and made great recommendations. This is a must when visiting Nashville. AMAZING is the word for this place.

Wow, best southern food I’ve had during my road trip through the south! This is a must-visit if you live around or are driving through Nashville.
I got the pulled pork with mashed potatoes and greens IT WAS SO GOOD. The waitress told us this was the most ordered dish and for good reason!
We also got the biscuit platter - fried chicken, green tomatoes, pulled pork, and country ham. The country ham was so delicious!
We wished we could have saved room for their whiskey pecan or rhubarb pies, but there was no way. 😂

Popped into this place during my first time in Nashville, 10/10 everything !! Our server Evan was the absolute best, he let my girlfriend and I know about various things to do and visit during our stay and was just an awesome guy. On top of already feeling at home due to our servers warmness the food was also amazing! Can’t wait to come back here. Thank you again 🙏🏽

7 of us rode down on the Harley’s from Indiana and had to stop and check this place out before hopping on the Natchez Trace! Cool place!!
The hot biscuits are Amazing and the jams and apple butter are off the hook!! The wife and I shared the fried catfish with fries and slaw…..WOW!!!! Prepared excellent….Country style!!!! The others in our group had the fried chicken and chicken tenders, it was a bit over cooked they said but still flavorful. Great experience and neat atmosphere!!!!!!
Deepti Kalkur
Evan was a great host. Helped us excellent with our orders.
As vegetarians, we could not try their biscuits as the biscuits have lard(pig fat) in them.
Thier red velvet waffle (Valentine's month spl) and the garden omelet were excellent.
To the cafe owners: please create vegetarian friendly biscuits for us to try.
Greg Roderick
The food was nice, but not super special. The service was great and the general vibe of a small country family restaurant was also nice. I would recommend not ordering any of their side biscuits, since they already provided biscuits with preserves as soon as you sit down. To pay an additional $3.25-3.50 to have the same biscuit with a little piece of meat in it seems a waste of money. Save the cash and get a dessert instead. A way better investment 😊
Allison Batchelor
Excellent service. Southern cooking at its finest. Fresh biscuits and jam served as we sat down. And biscuits refilled for us to go (see photo)! Grilled catfish,, green beans, collard greens beef brisket, and hash brown casserole....fantastic. 😋 Delicious meal.
Andrew Koehn
A Southern cafe with down-home dishes and a real country vibe, plus eclectic on-site shops.
• Excellent food served in a Historic Establishment.
• Famous Biscuits and Amazing Country Ham and Hashbrown casserole.
• Food is served in a family atmosphere.
• Friendly staff are a bonus.
• Nice gift stores directly located near the old Motel turned Café.
• Expect wait times to be significant on the weekend. Waits to be seated can be long, so try visiting during the week or call and ask about current peak hours.

If you have a car, it is worth the drive to visit Loveless Cafe. Chaz, our server, greeted us warmly with a plate of hot biscuits and peach & strawberry jam. He was so friendly and provided great service. We shared a breakfast of Country Ham plate and a pimento cheese & fried green tomato egg biscuit. This place has tasty, comfort food.

My husband and son went to breakfast here this morning. The service was great. Food was great as well. I chose the popular pulled
BBQ pork omelette. My son had the same. My hubby had the chicken fried steak. He said that was great as well. The place has been here for decades and has a picture filled wall with famous patrons. Photo is the pulled pork omelette.
Chris Konecny
Overall very pleased with the breakfast we had. Be warned that their wait time is an estimate and not always accurate which is understandable but worth the wait. We started with coffee and moonshine Bloody Mary. Highly recommend stirring and mixing the Bloody Mary at first. I had the breakfast bowl with bacon and a side of cheese grits. The bowl was heavy as I expected but the fried potatoes were on point and the star was the grits. It was warm cheesy and just delicious!!! We also got the biscuit sampler with pimento cheese and friend green tomatoes, pulled pork and fried chicken. Some of them where on the dryer end. But hey the biscuits are top notch. Enjoy

Great food great service and great place to visit! We had the biscuits ... Which are amazing as advertised. We split the country fried steak breakfast plate! Everything was excellent.

My best friend and I visited loveless for the first time today. We’re from Nashville and have always heard of it, but took us years to finally come here. The food was great! And our waiter, Owen was really kind and made sure we were okay with the food and had everything we needed and gave us some ideas on what to choose also really patient with us. Probably the best service I think I’ve experienced in a long while. We also did go around dinner time so it wasn’t really busy.
stella evans
It’s a great place with lots of nostalgia. It’s a collection of several buildings that used to house a motel and cafe turned into a cafe with some gift shops. Their biscuits are amazing! The server even packed some up for me to take with me! I had the fried chicken and it was ok, not great. The strawberry bourbon drink was fantastic.
Toni Topper
We actually met a guy in a elevator at the Moxy Hotel on Music Row and raved about how good this restaurant is. We drove 45 minutes out of our way back home just to try it out for breakfast. It did not disappoint. Everything was delicious, and the service was excellent! Don't forget to buy some jams to take home!
Paul Ayers
Had about a 30 min for party of 7 which I did not think was bad and gave time to visit the shops they have on-site. I had the chicken and waffles and the biscuits they put out for the table with jellies were awesome as I remembered. Worth dropping in and checking out a part of history. Will be back

Beware Of HAM. That's the sign I wish I'd read before ordering the Country Ham at The Loveless Cafe. The Country Ham made it into the top five worst Ham dishes I've ever tasted in my life. A Country Ham should not be razor thin, tough, and contain the amount of salt akin to pouring salt from a salt shaker directly into your mouth to the point you need to spit it out. It's possible I was served a bad slice of HAM as all the other food items along with the service were very good: (Biscuits, Chicken and Waffle, Hashbrown Casserole, and Fried Green Tomatoes). 2.5 (5.0)
Wyman Buff
This was some the best home style food I have ever had. Definitely the best in the area. The service was great and happy staff. I will definitely be going back. Almost forgot this, a storm came up and power went out for a bit. Was like it was blacked out dark but very dim. They were all still helpful and generous. Love this place!!

Amazing place for a good lunch!! Nice oldstyle cafe with excellent food. We had the pulled pork bbq with mac and cheese and fried okra as side dishes and a 3 egg omelette with bacon, ham and sausage. A bomb of meat 😋😋😋. Both dishes were delicious and no long wait before the food arrived. As dessert we had the Steeple Chase Pie and the Banana Pudding. Also mouthwatering delicious 🥰🥰🥰. Ordered 2 more banana puddings to go for tmrw 😬😬😬. Can recommend everyone to visit this place, but make upfront a reservation to prevent long waiting times.

The perfect little hole in the wall cafe located just outside of Nashville, a must stop for anyone looking for traditional southern grub and homegrown hospitality. Breakfast served all day, and those world famous biscuits also a perfect pairing with the dinner menu. Food is FRESH, prepared with love and care, ready and waiting for you to have the best dining experience you've had in ages. I cannot reccomended the venue highly enough, from the food to the staff it's a five star experience that won't break the bank, even if you bring the whole family in or if it's just you and a loved one, they've got a seat waiting for you!

We had a day trip planned to Nashville on Veteran's Day to visit family so decided to start our day at Loveless Cafe. After a relatively short wait (20ish minutes - SHORT for Loveless) we were seated at a table for two and were promptly approached by a delightful young man named Chaz. Full of energy and engaging, he chatted briefly with us and took our order, then brought us a small plate of those amazing biscuits, with an American Flag on top. When our food came out it was delivered efficiently and piping hot. Country fried steak and eggs and Hog Heaven Omelet. SO delicious!! Fantastic food, fantastic service, and not a terrible wait to get them!
Ari Snaevarsson
The biscuits alone would be worth the 10 hour drive back to Nashville. My wife and I went here on our honeymoon and waited 2 hours to be seated, but it was worth it. I can’t for the life of me recall our server’s name, but I remember she’s been here 18 years. She was so lovely and friendly and just amplified the experience. If you’re in Nashville and haven’t tried Loveless yet, go now!!
SM
Thé café is so popular. I arrived at 11am but I had to wait 1 hour for entering. There were some souvenir shops. I ordered sausage and waffles. The scorn were free. I really enjoyed having lunch here.
Jessica Day
Our first time here today and we had such a great experience. We're Nashville natives and have been wanting to come here forever lol. Our server was so lovely and attentive. The menu is good and has lots of Southern comfort food options.
Lara Braddock
Stopped in because it looked cute. Not disappointed!!! Greeted with sweet southern hospitality, fresh famous loveless Biscuits out the oven and strawberry jam, servings were HUGE! Got supper to go back to the Airbnb too. Super cute gift shop (of course I shopped) would’ve played corn hole but it was getting late. Definitely will stop again!
Krispy Tamz
This is a delicious place for sure. They have so many great options. However, prior to the pandemic there were a lot more options which I really miss. Still, I travel a ways away for a bite at Loveless Cafe!
Heather
Overall, I give the experience a 4! The staff was very friendly, prompt and efficient. (5) The location was convenient and there was plenty of parking. (5) The decor was perfectly authentic for a southern cafe and the seating was comfortable. (5) FOOD: The greens and scrambled eggs were AMAZING and the biscuits were great! (5) The fried chicken was okay. It lacked flavor and it was a bit dry in my opinion. (3) The candied yams were also just okay. (3) The macaroni and cheese I'll have to give a 2. It wasn't the worst I've ever had in a restaurant but definitely not the best. It lacks flavor, and most importantly, cheesiness. Overall I give it a 4, thanks to great service, location, and greens!
Patricia Pineda
Amazing food and service. Always stuff my face with their homemade biscuits. Haven't been disappointed yet. It is truly fun and enjoyable to eat there. We make it a big deal. To avoid long wait we make reservations online on open table.
Neidich Girl
We enjoyed our visit so much. Our friends have been telling us for years to try Loveless but we never took the time to go. Today changed that and we will be sure to come back for more.
Kenna was our waitress and she was spectacular. My husband ordered the fried chicken and mashed potatoes, corn and green beans.
I had the pulled pork and egss, hash brown casserole and a side of fried green tomatoes.
I absolutely loved my pulled pork. It had a very pleasant flavor and in my opinion was better than most bbq restaurants. The blackberry jelly was amazing in my opinion. We enjoyed the gift shop as well.
I highly recommend this stop for food and interest.
Jennifer Camp
Five stars all around, the eggs, bacon, and hashbrown casserole made my mouth do a little happy flip. So good all I got was a picture of the biscuits. It's been around for years, and there is a reason. Food is great, staff is a lot of fun, and this is a great recipe for the success they have had.
Josef Weiss
The Loveless Cafe is a Nashville icon with a rich history. From breakfast to dinner, you won’t go wrong stopping here no matter what the time of day you visit. There are several shops in addition to the cafe. The biscuits are exceptional!
Aaron Seiser
Absolutely delicious! Our server was wonderful, fried green tomatoes were amazing, Nashville Hot Chicken was awesome, and the best biscuits are the best around. I highly recommend this place!
Gloria
The Loveless Cafe has the 🌟 best 🌟 Southern food around! I've been there twice and it is the best eexperience.Their biscuits are buttery, warm, pillowy bundles of joy!!! On my recent visit I ordered the biscuit sampler -4 biscuits with 4 unique "fillings" to take you on your own personal tour of classic, homestyle, Southern fare. Fried green tomato with pimento cheese 🍅, country ham 🐷, pulled pork 🐖 and fried chicken 🐔. Each one better than the last. The hashbrown casserole was rich, cheesy and delicious. For dessert I shared the banana pudding - wear some stretchy pants and come hungry -believe me you should not leave without having dessert.
Loveless Cafe is amazing with a rich history and even richer food. ❤
Samantha Wood
The place seems a little touristy, but it is worth eating at. The food is really good. We especially liked the Nashville hot chicken tenders, fried green tomatoes, and chess pie.
Gene Reddick
Went here on a visit to Nashville. Wonderful food and the waiter was fantastic and attentive. Food was pippin hot and plentiful. I had the chicken and it lived up to the reputation. All the delicious sides make selection difficult. Only disappointment was I didn't save room for dessert.
Ian Lopez-Ganoza
Out of our way but worth the trip. Everything from the fried chicken, creamed corn, biscuits, and key lime pie tasted homemade and delicious. Friendly and welcoming staff
Andra Meyers
Highlight of our trip! We drove 40 mins and the food did not disappoint. Warm service and cozy atmosphere. The prices were reasonable for the quality. If you're craving southern cooking, this is the place! It is always busy, even on a Wednesday. It's best to make a reservation.
Jennifer Schellhouse
This place is amazing! It is a place steeped in history and just being there takes you back in time! The food? Some of the best I've ever had. The biscuits and jams are delicious, the breakfast food is top notch, and forget everything you knew about bacon and ham because this place has the best ever! I will definitely go back and bring the whole family with me!
Lena Kuldija
Very cute place with such a great story! It is currently decorated for the holiday with pretty lights. Only about 15 -20 mins outside of downtown. There is also a couple of gift stores on the property. They have really cute things, but are a bit pricey. The restaurant itself is decorated very homely and has a authentic southern vibe. Along with a great meal, we got southern hospitality from a great waitress and locals from the tables next to us who gave us some recommendations. Everything we ordered was great but my fav was the hot biscuits with butter and jam.
Chris V
A very beautiful little cafe with a couple of shops for souvenirs. As a Californian I loved this place and would love to go back. The food was delicious as well.
Wilfredo Ulacio
Most delicious southern Breakfast I’ve ever had!!! It’s worth the wait all the way ❤️
Jessica Prieto
Excellent food, excellent service, excellent atmosphere. We went on a Sunday, arrived at noon, was told a 1.5 hour wait and we were seated in 1 hour and 10 minutes. Highly recommend.
Elwood McElveen, Jr.
You just have to go! Kill time walking around and visit the gift shop while waiting; worth the wait! Biscuits oh my, yeah pretty good but don’t take my word for it; read all the celebrity messages on their pics.
Kristin
Great biscuits and sweet tea. Chicken fried steak was not hand battered. Fried chicken was good. Cafe style food. Cute shops and grounds
Mad Max
Great home-cooked foods. Their biscuits are top class together with their house made preserves. The Nashville hot chicken was amazing.
Ally Johnson
Good: Biscuits are tasty as can be. The blackberry jam is magic. Cute grounds. Be prepared for a long wait. Nice art shop as well as gift shop.
Could be better: Only one restroom open for the whole place on a Saturday and it’s *gnarly* in the heat and humidity. Not much selection for vegetarians (kick up that salad a notch!)

Was not planning to come into The Loveless Cafe but am so glad I did I stumbled upon it. To start off the biscuits were incredible , soft and crispy and they even dyed the biscuits green in honor of St. Patricks Day. Even me not being a fan of jam’s enjoyed the jam’s served with the biscuits. The Country Fried steak was succulent and tasty and the side’s matched up. The Nashville hot chicken was also crispy , crunchy and tasted great. To top it all off the service was good.
Julie
Ate here for the second time today. Had excellent service and food. They have the best fried chicken, peach jam and biscuits here. Our server was Kenna and she truly went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and then some.
Tracy
Its a little of a drive to get there but so worth it. The food was so good and a lot of famous people eat there. You never know who will show up. Its woth the drive.
Alan Van Hooser
Oh my! Worth driving out of the way. The best fried chicken! The biscuits are the stuff of legend. This is our second visit. We stopped by several year’s ago. A treasure. Good home cooking. Get there before 6:00 pm to hit the shops
J
Yeah so good! Just awesome food classic place! Lovely staff and i will be back! Thanks Maria!
Shannon FitzGerald
This is a hidden gem. The biscuits are the best, light fluffy and warm. I had a strawberry sipper outside while we waited for a table. It was the best drink I've had in years, strawberry whiskey and lemonade, go try it!
Jarrett Mercer
Nothing beats their biscuits and jams. Always a pleasure to eat here!
Leslie Gilbert
The biscuits are amazing !! Had a wonderful visit. We shopped around in the shops while we waited for a table. Worth the trip !!!
Stephanie Merrimon

I always make sure to stop by Loveless Cafe when I’m driving through Nashville. They have some of the very best biscuits and jams. We always end up having a great food experience and like to take leftovers and jams home with us. I highly recommend a visit to anyone who has never been!
Bridget Breland
Great lunch at the Loveless Cafe Famous for their hospitality, biscuits, fried chicken & pulled pork (slow cooked for 22 hours every day).
The fried chicken, pork, corn casserole & turnip greens 🥬 were amazing.
Our server Chaz was so helpful and welcoming. Southern cooking and charm at its best.
No wonder they’ve been charming people for over 50 years 😊
Natalie Zanatta
Great food and service! Parking lot was full. Pleasantly surprised no wait
David Galloway
The Loveless is consistently good. The food is great. The service is always friendly. The biscuits are legendary! We went early on a weekday so it wasn't crowded yet. Seated immediately and served quickly. It's popular with both tourists and locals so it can get very busy but if you've got a little time to spare, it's definitely worth it.
Marty Shaw, Author
The southern style food was excellent and the decor was authentically unsophisticated. If you want to taste of Nashville stop at the Loveless Café and have some Nashville hot chicken. It will be a memorable experience.
Kimmally
Great place and atmosphere. Historic and highly popular place for visitors and guests to Nashville. Food is always great and fresh. I’ve never had anything subpar there.
Col Raimond
The biscuits are 5 star and so is the service. Prices are totally fair and the jam is delicious. I took a point away for the disappointing biscuit sampler. It’s just so plain. Basically, a little piece of ham on a biscuit, a couple pieces of bacon on another, and a little piece of fried chicken on the other. I had the fried green tomato and pimento cheese for the last one, and that was super good! I ended up eating the ham on its own and then put the bacon on the chicken and slathered some pimento cheese on it (from the fried green tomato one). Then I hate the other biscuits with butter and jam. If these had more toppings or condiments (so I didn’t have to make my own combos), I would have given 5 stars.
jamie celmer
Delicious breakfast! Definitely worth the almost hour drive. The biscuits really are heavenly. The peach jam is quite good too. But the service...the service deserves more than 5 stars. Allie was wonderful. She was one of the best servers we've had...ever. We were lucky enough to have reservations but this place is worth a wait. Ask for Allie when you go. You won't be disappointed. We cannot wait to go back.
Gwendolyn Brown
I always have an amazing time at Loveless Cafe. It's a great place to sit and have a good meal while reading a good book or just people watch. Today I have the special which was the pork loin. It was absolutely delicious with a smoked peach preserve on top. They are currently serving it, this Summer at least, on Saturdays. If you've never been, check out the grounds while you're waiting on your table. I received my table in less than 15 minutes and they served me quickly, but I had just missed the rush. So at certain times of the day especially during the weekend, expect a wait. But it is worth the wait. I had to also have a couple of pieces of their fried chicken. I'm a Southerner after all. The sides, especially the greens, are seasoned just right. Oh, and by the way, the biscuits are amazing! Maybe ask to take a few home with you. If you are visiting Nashville, just hop on I-40 like you're going to Memphis. Google Maps will get you the rest of the way. Once you're done eating, buy some jam or other items in their country store to take back to your hotel or to take home. Once you go, you going to want to go back.

Me, and all of our picky eaters loved this place! I found myself wishing I wasn’t full so I could eat more! The biscuits are heavenly. Chicken was amazing. Loved the fried okra. Everything I had was perfect, and the area is so fun to hang out in! As long as you expect to wait to be seated, it’s a perfect experience
Somers Condie
Best fried chicken I have ever had! And our server was the friendliest gentleman. Then walking around the whole area we got some fig spreads and talked to another super nice employee who gave me all of her local recommendations since we were visiting. Such an amazing atmosphere here! And yeah, that fried chicken…. 🤤 …

I cannot say enough about this country style cafe. Both the food and service was outstanding and I would highly recommend this place to everyone. Two huge breakfasts ran us $30 but there were plenty of leftovers to take with us.

A quint place. Pretty busy on a Saturday as expected. I waited about 30 minutes for a table for one. I browsed the market and grabbed some candle melts. They smelled divine. You place your name on a list and they text you when your table is ready. My server was wonderful. I can’t recall his name but he had a beard. The biscuits were the star of the show, great texture melt in your mouth . I order the fried pork Chop dinner . They were fries perfectly, not dry at all. Simply delicious! I also ordered the Mac n cheese and turnip greens. I did not enjoy the greens much bc they were sweet. I’m not used to them being served that way. The Mac n cheese was delicious and creamy. It wasn’t baked but very tasty. The servings were filling. I’d love to visit again and order the chicken. Overall worth the wait. Check it out. I also got a slice of apple pie for the road. Homemade not too sweet but satisfying.

This is must stop, the food is amazing, along with the service, and world famous atmosphere! Definitely be going back when we come back!
Emily Polvorosa
It was worth the drive and the wait. The quarter fried chicken(hard fried to perfection) with turnip greens and mac and cheese..the biscuits and preserves..you have to come out yourself to try!
John Blair
At the Natchez Trace terminus Nashville TN. We had already had breakfast so we decided it was BRUNCH; it's that GOOD! DRIVE past if you must, but don't blame me if yA do!?!?
Tim Cook
The best biscuits I've ever had. The fried chicken and ham is incredible as well
Sheree Marlow
Wonderful first experience at Loveless Cafe! The food was delicious! The best creamed corn and hashbrown casserole I’ve ever had! As great as all of that was we were extremely impressed with the service our waitress Megan and Manager Keith provided. Megan was slammed with 3 new tables, yet she provided quick and friendly service. The manager took on all roles which is something you don’t often see. In the time we were there we saw him bus tables, serve food, seat guests, and he personally came to greet us. When he found out it was our first visit he brought us his favorite side to try. We will definitely be back!

We had a great late breakfast this Tuesday morning at “The Loveless!” Hit it just right, no wait! The service was great; the food even better. Great hot coffee, superb biscuits & jams, and very excellent country ham, eggs, and grits. We’ve been coming here for 35+ years (even before it became “civilized and citified” . . . it was even better back then!). Never a bad meal, just some better than others!
Shawn White
Absolutely worth the stop. Destination breakfast while in Nashville. Great food, absolutely wonderful service by Chaz. He really made it a special experience. Go for the biscuits, leave with the smiles!
Linly Stowe
Some of the friendliest service, great biscuits, and very reasonable prices. We went on a weekday at about 11 AM and only had to wait a few minutes. I understand that some mornings it's at least an hour wait. The food is good, so it's worth making it out there every once in a while.

LOVE the Loveless Cafe. It’s a little out of the way from downtown Nashville, but it’s always worth the trip. It’s so delish and homey.
I love the little shops and stuff onsite too
Michael Stout
Stopped by about 1300 on a Tuesday. We were seated right away and had drinks and exceptional biscuits shortly thereafter. Food came out within 15 minutes of ordering. We both ordered two different four side dishes plates. We found all eight options to be good to outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed the visit and if I was in the area again I'd stop by.
Andrey Brijaldo
It was my first time in Nashville and everyone told me, u must go to The Loveless cafe and they're right, it was amazing, its food the really tasty American and the atmosphere was awesome. I can't wait to go back.
Marie Brock
A fun place to enjoy! Food was delicious and the store was fun! I purchased some biscuit mix!

This place is amazing, we almost didn't want to come here, but at the end I really want to see for myself if the place is worth the hype and the answer is an absolutely YES!!! GOT TO ORDER THE CHICKEN!!! HOT!!!! And Andrea was amazing as well.
Renea Young
Wonderful country style food. Service incredible. Virginia is exceptional. The long was worth it. Very clean and organized. Highly recommend.
Suelen Souza
One of the best breakfast we had during our stay in Nashville, everyone was working very happy and friendly! Thank you so much special for Susan that took really good care of us! The food was amazing and the plates are huge!
Ian Genet
Was told to come here from my boss who’s been to Nashville numerous times and said this place has remained a constant in a changing Nashville. It definitely fits that description, feeling more like a historic village than a restaurant. The staff had that kind southern hospitality that is great to find even when a place is as busy as they are. As for the food, the biscuits were the showstopper. Hot out the oven and served with their house made jams, they were light and fluffy but still firm enough to chew. Our favorite jam was the blackberry preserve which we bought a jar of at the store. The meal was very filling, so filling in fact we didn’t eat on the whole 15-hour drive back to New York. Overall, the food was good but what you’d expect from an old-school establishment; diner-grade coffee, faux-maple syrup, decent waffle. The fried chicken was great and next time I’d order that solo. If you’re willing to take the drive out of Nashville, ok dealing with a crowd, and in the mood for old school southern fare, it’s worth the travel.
Shari
We loved stopping here. The history of this cafe makes it so special. They serve biscuits before your meal. The preserves are lucious and those biscuits are light and fluffy! Truly the biscuits I've had in Tennessee. We had a hamburger, chicken and sides. Everything was great and the biscuits are the best. I would definitely come back for them!!
Leslie Callahan
This is the most adorable and quaint spot ever! It is tucked away and feels like you have found a secret spot; which apparently you have not because everyone else knows about it! The wait was about an hour and 45 minutes but we were prepared for that so we drove some to look at changing leaves and walked a little. They texted us to let us know our table was ready. Our waitress was wonderful and our food was incredible!! The biscuits were the best! HIGHLY recommend!
David Quesenberry
This was recommended by a local as a "must try" before leaving Nashville. Even though it was the opposite direction of our way home, it was absolutely worth the time. The wall of celebrities who have visited is vast, and they are famous for their biscuits and preserves. Highly recommend reservations if you want to dine in, especially on the weekends. We ended up getting the family pack to go, and cannot recommend the banana pudding for dessert enough. Even the vanilla wafers for the pudding are made fresh in house. Pay the extra money for the butters (apple, pumpkin, sweet potato) along with the peach and strawberry preserves for the biscuits, because they are so worth it! The sweet potato butter on the warm biscuits will make you want to buy an extra dozen biscuits!
David Obregon
We stopped for breakfast, it was a Sunday, so it was extremely busy, but they got our group of 20 seated within 40 mins, that's impressive! I ordered fried chicken, eggs and cheesy potatoes, plus they bring out biscuits for the table nonstop with delicious jams, the food was very good. It's a very popular, unique place to stop to eat and shop.

Wowwwww, where do I start💞 location, Great!, access, Great!, easy to find, Great! Quaintly nestled right off interstate I40-W, perfect for travelers and locals alike but get there early because this place has a lot to offer🙃 and rightfully so stays busy! Its is filled with nostalgia with Country Style store fronts to shop for souvenirs/gifts or other great buys or maybe a challenge at one of the many corn hole locations or what about a family pic at one of the photo stands to commemorate your visit, if you have to wait before you dine that's ok there's plenty of seating out front or just take a stroll around the grounds. There's so much I could say about Lovelace Cafe like service was great! They greet you with a smile and a big Hello, they are very welcoming and make you feel like your at home, our server was very friendly and made sure we were well taken care of, she did a wonderful job, one of the managers greeted us as well, which a plus and says a lot about their brand💥I had the Chicken and Waffle with a side of Bacon 💥💥 it was sooo yummy, more than enough and not expensive , let me just say I CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK!!!!! THUMBS UP💥💥💥💥💥

Very touristy but still a great plate of food. The biscuits are excellent. Get a side order of sausage gravy and you can then have biscuits and gravy! Pie is great as well. Been here three times, would return again

Sharing this review and I haven't even paid the bill.
Wow!! So cool and ssooooo delicious!!!!
So thankful fantastic places off the interstate are still thriving and this outstanding restaurant is definitely thriving!
Terrific service and the food is just GREAT.
Do yourself a favor and find it and enjoy.

We saw lovers Cafe on "Somebody feed Phil" show. It is very cute and old school Cafe. We really enjoyed the fried chicken was awesome! The sides were a bit bland for our taste. The wait was 2hrs! People left or where upset for such long wait. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Once we were finally seated it was await to get order, drinks and food. Our waiter was very nice and friendly. Drive was beautiful. It was a nice experience and check mark of our food adventures. Be prepared to be patient and respectful to the staff.
Kylie Greer
This place has the absolute best biscuits you will ever find in a restaurant, and most of the other food is delicious as well! It's like Cracker Barrel if it actually had southern authenticity left in the food. Absolute gem in a beautiful area, they never disappoint!
Jim 238
Had a very nice lunch at Loveless Cafe. Nancy is a very friendly and helpful hostess. Anna was our waitress, she very nice and friendly. She was very attentive and gave us excellent service. We really enjoyed her. The food was good! We will go back.
Terry Smith
Hands down Jaz was the best server!!! Great personality, attention to detail, and a great joke teller. First time here; but definitely will stop in again. Great food!! Love the stores around the restaurant. Great place to do some Christmas shopping.
Judi Mobley
Met family for lunch. The wait time was 35 minutes. I like the change where you're allowed to put you name in even if you're entire party isn't there.
Staff was friendly. Place is clean. Outside tables are spaced apart to sit on while waiting or possibly eat at them. It was cold the day we went, so we waited in our vehicle.
Food was delicious. I had the fried chicken breast and wing, fried okra, and creamy coleslaw. Chicken was cooked through and crunchy. Same for the fried okra. Coleslaw was made the way I like it. Of course here's what you want to know.
Chicken strips were tender and tasty. Parking is limited. They've closed off the front parking lot and added tables to relax. Corn hole is set up there and in a spot behind a store. Biscuits were good. Some were flat while others tall and fluffy.
Hershel Watson
Outstanding food!
Wife got the Chicken gizzard with Mac & cheese and Turnip greens and I got Chicken fingers with Cream corn and Hash brown casserole😋.
Customer Service great also! Thanks to the lovely cashier Ladies they helped us get what we wanted for lunch.
Eduardo Garcia
If we go through Tennessee we stop at loveless Cafe. Never to long of a wait for breakfast and their staff is made up of 100% the kindest people on earth. Food was great each time, I really enjoyed my experience there. Their little shopping town offers wonderful/delicious merchandise as well must check out.
Heather Theriaque
Friendly staff, delicious food, great historic location. Our group had fresh biscuits and jams, Fried chicken, chicken tenders, and chicken salad, all of which were delicious. My husband's favorite was the turnip greens and another favorite is the hangover casserole. Can get crowded, but our wait was not very long. There are some picnic tables outside while you are waiting.
Sean Innella
We had a corporate event and we were coming from out-of-town, so I wasn't sure where to begin for our dining needs. Loveless catering was recommended, and it was certainly the right pick. The loveless food and team was great from beginning to end and were able to accommodate everyone's dietary needs. Look no further for great southern cuisine!
Julie Hardacre
Visiting Nashville for New Years & found Loveless Cafe. There’s always a wait & it’s absolutely worth it and a must on your list!!! Our waitress Allie was a true blessing! She took the time to really have a conversation with us and with a smile on her face the entire time. She is the biggest asset to this place and deserves the highest amount of reward and recognition. I managed a restaurant and I know when you have someone special and Allie is that unique person!
Laura Church
It's a cute little tourist spot, and has a cute little area with small shops to check out. Wait was long, food was just mediocre. I feel like there is better quality southern food elsewhere, not worth the price you pay. I have had better food in dive diners.
Toby Gunn
Downhome, perfect southern cooking. The chicken fried steak was tender and cooked perfectly and the turnip greens were the best I've ever eaten.
The staff was amazing and the atmosphere take you back 50 years. Go for the biscuits but everything we tried was incredible

Scenic drive to the Loveless Cafe… just a simple day yet so beautiful. It is the little things in life that matter. The Peach Whisky for breakfast at The Loveless Cafe with fried chicken was delicious. I loved coming to the Loveless Cafe for good southern food and the ambience.

Stopped by for some of the biscuits. We were in a time crunch so we couldn't stay for an entire meal. The waitress at the door helped us put in an order for some biscuits. We will definitely be back when we have more time to sit down and have a meal. We can't wait, the building smelt amazing and we've heard nothing but great things. Keep up the great work!

I always enjoy eating at Loveless when we visit Nashville. It is definitely a "must go" if you're in town. **But beware, there is always quite a wait to be seated. So plan to be there a while and visit the shops! The jams and preserves make excellent Christmas gifts!
Jeremy Dunn
I drive by Loveless at least 5 days a week going to work. This was my 1st time ever stopping, and I am so glad I did. Chaz was our server and he was phenomenal. It was a bit loud due to how many people they pack in, but the fact they pack in that many all day everyday shows how good it is. Pricing was very reasonable for the amount of food and quality. Definitely recommend and I will be going back soon.
Louis Godino
This is a definitely an awesome place to visit!!! Great food ,souvenir , gift shop!! And a wonderful wait staff!! When ever you are in Nashville TN, this should be on your place to do list !!!
Kelia
WORTH THE WAIT! My table of 3 waited for 1hr 30min to be seated for Saturday lunch. We spent our wait time browsing the country store and souvenir shop. Definitely recommend making a reservation!!
THE BISCUITS AND JAM!! They bring them to the table on the house! There are three types of jam: blackberry, apricot and strawberry. Strawberry was our favorite with a bit of butter. Then, I ordered the BBQ pulled pork with green beans and fried green tomatoes as sides. Portions were generous, and both my friend and I needed to go boxes.
Service was decent. They are packed so we didn't see out server as often as we would have liked, but it was fine.

Over 50 years of the best biscuits served. 😋 Country vibe with southern home-style cooking, desserts, & southern-style cocktails. The customer service is very friendly and hospitable as you walk in. Shout out to our server, Megan. She was excellent with suggestions and was very attentive and kind. …
Janice Cassell
Green beans were good. Slaw was good. Good biscuits. Chicken fried steak may be a frozen patty. Not much taste. Gravy tasted like it came from a jar. Overpriced. Great nostalgic atmosphere.
Sarah Koppe
Super cute place. The hostess was very rude when I checked on our table though. The man she was working with checked us in and told us an hour. After an hour and a half I checked but she just got rude telling me she checked us in and she knows she told us an hour and 45 minutes. The waiter on the other hand was super sweet and even got us a free dessert for our anniversary
John Martin
Good southern breakfast in an iconic restaurant. I had the puked pork and eggs, first time eating puked pork for breakfast. It was really good. Others in my party thought their country ham was too salty, but maybe that's because we are from California. Fun place dine.
Tim Sager
Fast friendly service on a Monday night, Monday equals meatloaf special which was served barely warm and won't be reordered if I make another visit. Fried Chicken was good and hot, but our favorites were the warm biscuits and jam the mashed potatoes and creamed corn. Two different pieces of pie were unremarkable. I think everyone should try this place once for the atmosphere. If I come back it'll be for breakfast.
Robert Mitchem
Our second visit to the Loveless Cafe and it was just as good as the first. Classic southern food. Special today was catfish and it was delicious. Be prepared for a wait but the food is worth it. Time passes quickly as you explore the shops on site.
Michael Siracusa
This is my first time at this restaurant. Not living in an area I had no idea about the history that was involved. The food was great. Our server was very kind and kept up with our needs. If you're looking for old fashioned style cooking that taste good this is the place that you need to go.
J M (J M)
Was staying at the Gaylord Opryland and decided to drive to the Loveless Cafe with my 22 month old son. It was such a beautiful drive and once we got to the cafe, we were greeted right away and seated within 10 minutes. It was a Thursday at 11am and I didn’t see larger groups having to wait more than 20 minutes. Our server was SO FRIENDLY and made sure we always had biscuits, refills of fruit for my son and gave great recommendations. I absolutely loved the peach preserves, biscuits and the country fried chicken with sides. I bought a bottle of peach preserves and blackberry bbq sauce to bring home and I wish I had bought more! Definitely was worth the trip and will definitely return if in Nashville again.
Erin Green
Prepare to wait, or reserve ahead. There are games and gift shops to keep you occupied until your table is ready, which is great! The food is good down home cooking and the biscuits are always fresh! A must see for any visitor to Nashville!
Grace
As a born and bred Southerner - come here to get buttermilk biscuits and Southern cuisine done RIGHT. Also, ask the staff to tell you admit the history of the place and make certain to check out the gift shop! Fascinating stuff! Definitely a great place to bring family from out-of-town if you want to give them a good taste of the South, or that small-town-country feeling.
It off an the times we've been here, we've never had a bad meal. The breakfast bowls are fantastic, the catfish is fantastic. You can't go wrong, really. I usually get the chicken fingers.
Joyce Ann
Long wait, but the Sippin spot helped that. Quaint, cozy area to relax while you enjoy some of the best cocktails and wait for the table.
In the cafe I was hungry for breakfast, which I was glad is served all day. Biscuits and fresh jam helped ease the hunger pains while I waited for the breakfast bowl. Delicious!!! Server was helpful, friendly and attentive.
Macayla R
Awesome service with fresh and delicious food! This will definitely be a new regular for us.
Karl Warden
Their food is truly good. Their takeout needs work. I have had problems two times in a row. I ordered Nashville Hot Chicken and got regular fried chicken the first time. Last night I ordered hot chicken and got hot chicken, but the rather expensive pie slice I ordered did not appear in the bag; something I did not know until I got home. I know they get in a hurry because of crowds, but I am leery of using takeout from there ever again.
Mary Hall
Food was very good! Service was fast. Atmosphere was fun.
loretta Crawford
A must stop when in or near Nashville. Heck, even worth a crazy adventure to try some southern food. Biscuits are the best!!
Katie Randall
Ok to start off, I have a food allergy and this is the first and only restaurant that took it seriously. The GM Keith came over to my table and introduced himself, and asked me all about my allergy and what steps to take to prevent a reaction. It was so great to have that happen to me, especially because my allergy is to pork and they are known for their famous pork and biscuits. The party I was with attended a wedding at The Loveless barn on 10-10-2022. I have to say that the wedding was so beautiful, flawless and perfect in every way. It was an amazing memorable night I'm so glad this place could accommodate everyone and for everything.
Mike Williams
Food was incredible! The biscuits are insane good & if you want good bbq, this place is it. Probably a top 5 bbq spot ive ever tasted. 💯
Mike Shelton
Great food. Delicious bacon, biscuits and preserves. My wife really enjoyed the croutons in her salad and the corn. Our server was kind and did a terrific job looking after us.
Anita Wu
My family and I were in town from Virginia for a football game and had to make this a stop. They got us in fast considering the wait and our larger group. We got Virginia as our waitress and she made us feel right at home. Seriously one of the best servers we’ve ever had ever anywhere. She was great with our kids and had such an amazing positive attitude. She really made the difference in our experience here! Amazing food, even better people. We will remember this trip for years to come.
Black Ox Roofing Inc.
We had heard about this place from several folks who said the food is outstanding. Well, they were not lying. They serve some of the best Home Cooked meals that you will ever experience. Just down home cookin' ...and ample portions. There's also a gift shop and other things to do whilst you are on site. A historic stop that won't disappoint if you are visiting the Nashville Area. Located on Rte 100, at the entrance to the Natchez/Trace Parkway, which is a beautiful ride through the mountainside.
Justin Couts
We went on a Sunday around 1pm. 45 minute wait that flew by thanks to all the things to do while you wait. Great people, amazing atmosphere, and fantastic food. If you haven't been, do yourself a favor and go. Order the pimento cheese and fried green tomato biscuit. Trust me!
Rebecca Baer
I love this place! The staff is always so friendly. The restaurant has a cozy home feeling, like grandma's house. But above all else their food is amazing. The biscuits and jam are heavenly. You can get the jam and biscuit mix in their gift shop. There is a barn used for weddings and events in the back as well as another shop. I recommend reading up on the history of this place to truly appreciate it. Fair warning, you will have to wait a while to be seated only because it's such a popular place.
John Bundy
Good place! Looked pretty busy for a Friday morning, but had less than a 10 minute wait. Enjoyed the biscuit sampler. Definitely some other items on the menu I would like to try next time. House made jams were good too!
Melanie Grennes
We searched for the highest rated breakfast in Nashville and this is where we found! Our server was pleasant and attentive and the atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. I had a grilled chicken biscuit (added an egg) that was delicious. My husband got the biscuit platter (ham, pulled pork, pimento cheese & fried green tomato, fried chicken) with the side of hash brown casserole. The biscuits and homemade preserves were mouthwatering. Very happy we chose Loveless Cafe!
Katelyn Noyes
Unbelievably good. Got the chicken and dumplings special with sweet creamed corn and caramel sweet potatoes. Saved some room for the steeplechase pie! 10/10 would make it a must-go for any future trips!
Randy Smiddy
We loved it! The biscuits and jelly were amazing! This fat boy could have made a meal just on those! I had catfish and my wife had the chicken. Both were great!
Dillon Troxell
this place was delicious. fully recommend. Their biscuits are amazing.
Christine Figueroa
This PLACE is off the chart! 💯❤️ it's Best Coleslaw that I've ever had in my entire life! The jam is to die for especially the Blackberry! 🤩There is nothing in this restaurant that doesn't taste delicious! It is Home cooked food that's for sure! …
Tiffany Harelik
Country cookin, the way you want it. There were plenty of vegetarian sides for me :).
Adair Macauley
So much fun and delicious food. We will definitely be back.
Jamie Calhoun
Great place! Had to make this a stop while visiting family in Tennessee. The fried chicken is AMAZING. The country ham is also perfection. Highly recommend stopping in.
Paul Warnex
Excellent southern cooking. We arrived at 3 p.m. and still had a 45 minute wait. We expected this and were not upset or inconvenienced. Well worth the wait. The biscuits are to die for!
Cheri Miller Hamilton
Local treasure! A must for visitors and always on the list when the kids are home to visit. Time honored recipes never disappoint. Beautiful drives nearby on the Natchez Trace. Perfect way to enjoy local hospitality and take in sights.
Douglass Morris
I really wished this place had worked out. I had been eyeing this place for months after high Internet recommendations. So if you look at their menu online you would think there were many choices when you get there i.e. catfish (grilled/fried), meatloaf, smoked pork chops, smoked turkey breast. However, when you get there, there are only three items on the menu, all fried (chicken/pork chop)and one of the many items you are expecting to be on the menu is offered as a special until it is gone. The side vegetables I ordered were good but what country restaurant doesn't serve cornbread with the vegetables? Last but most importantly, I grew up on banana pudding and have eaten it everywhere. If you know what good banana pudding is stay away from theirs. If you have not ever had banana pudding and you must try theirs, please know that banana pudding is way better than their rendition. As someone who grew up eating southern food in various homes and restaurants in Mississippi and Alabama the best I can say is this is southern food for northern folk.
Sue S
When you visit Nashville, you must stop at the Loveless Cafe and get their chicken. It was so juice. I also had their green beans and they were made like mamaw. Our server, Owen, was very efficient and he made my Bday very special, he sang to me and brought me a dessert. This quaint place is not expensive and has great food. I also bought flour and a cookbook from their store. Great buys!
Patty Shoulders
18 of us for a 90th birthday breakfast celebration. From reservations to seating, they were 💯 accommodating. Fantastic service today by Chaz. He was so friendly and efficient. The whole restaurant sang to the birthday “boy”. The food was absolutely superb. Country ham, omelets, bowls, and of course biscuits yummy!
Tricia DeLeonardis
We had another wonderful experience at The Loveless Cafe’ this morning!! We were greeted and immediately sat at our table with the awesome CHAZ , as our SUPER SERVER!! He arrived with our hot biscuits and took our drink order quickly. He made us feel that he was genuinely there to make us all , have a great time! His attention was exemplary and he gave us perfect service! Our breakfast was ordered exactly right and arrived shortly after we ate our yummy biscuits!! Everything tasted hot and delicious and made just right!!
We always visit Loveless Cafe because we LOVE the special service, food and wonderful feeling while we’re here!! I recommend everyone visit this historic establishment frequently!!
Thank you all!!
Much love and respect!
Heather A
The pricing is backwards the eggs should be free and charge for the biscuits. Worst eggs ever but the biscuits were awesome. We left two whole plates of food on the table. I'm giving it a 3 just because the biscuits were good.
Gaurav Hegde
This place is a 30 mins drive from the city but is totally worth it if you are a fan of southern style biscuits .
They serve you their freshly made biscuits with their homemade preserves which are super delicious. They come in three flavors - raspberry, mango and strawberry. Do not miss the butter before devouring the biscuits.
We got the local favorite chorizo omlette and the pancakes with the sausage.
The omelette was delicious but the pancakes were nothing extra ordinary . I wish they put some whipped cream on it to make it a lil exciting .
The overall service was average . There seemed to be just one server managing all the tables around me so he took some time to attend every one . Felt sorry for him too but it was fine as we had our biscuits to enjoy.
Overall this place is a must visit just for its complimentary biscuits
Seth J Coynor, DO FAAP
Fun atmosphere, good service and delicious biscuits with homemade preserves. The charm and fun of the restaurant is what makes it a great experience as most of the dishes we had were good, but not amazingly delicious or remarkable.
Greg Dean
I had heard so many good reviews on this place, so I had high expectations. Don't get me wrong, the food was good, just didn't meet my expectations. It was a bucket list place for me and I'm happy I was able to check it off my list.
Cody “-c0de-” Lee
Hard to beat country cooking in an authentic Nashville original setting and location. Waits can be long, so show up early and get your name on the list for down home cooking you just can't miss.
James Pearce
We showed up at 1:15pm and informed the staff we’d be having 18 in our group. They said it would be approximately 2 hours. When we informed her the group wouldn’t arrive until 2pm she said that helped a bunch. By the time the last person arrived at 2:15 we had a table and were being seated.
What a pure southern experience. From biscuits and preserves to the Hogwild Omelette to the chicken friend chicken to the gravy and butter biscuits and sweet tea…I could go on. The helpings were ginormous. The wait staff patient and helpful. Pure southern hospitality. Food was hot, and delicious. And even with a large group the wait time for good, hot food was not too long. I’ve lived in the area all my life and I will go back and take my wife. On behalf of Defenders LEMC thank you Loveless for making our experience exceptional.
Theresa Singletary
On our way back from Belle Meade we stopped by the famous, or infamous rather, The Loveless Cafe. Our waitress was a trip - we told her we were low carb, low sugar, and she gave us excellent suggestions from the menu, and everything was delicious. I bought a fabulous scarf in one of the shops and this place will definitely be part of the vacation memories!
Mabry Biggs
good biscuits and preserves. we were able to get in surprisingly quickly for a sunday.
Craig White
Gosh I love this place!!! I moved away from Nashville years ago. This is now my go to spot whenever I’m back. It’s a bit of a drive but it’s worth every minute of it! Their biscuits and jam are hands down the best in the world!! The sweet tea is also my favorite. If you like southern food and are looking for a good food place in the Nashville area, this is a MUST visit. Plan ahead for your visit because there is almost always a wait, but it’s always worth it.
David Mckellips
We had fried chicken, and chicken fried steak, our sides were the hashbrown casserole and fried green tomatoes. It came with great rolls and jams.
I highly recommend this place! The fried green tomatoes were the true treat! Superb service as well. The wait though, 1 hour, was very worth it!

Food is always delicious. They serve large portions and we couldn't keep take-out fresh- many miles from home. Should have asked . When close we always stop here!

The iconic Loveless Cafe lives up to its name. It’s everything you can imagine a southern diner to be. Housed in what looks like a cottage this places oozes southern charm. The food is exactly what you expect home cooked comfort food to taste like. I ordered the classic meatloaf with biscuits and it’s probably one of the best meatloafs I’ve had.
What used to be the motel rooms are now event spaces with the exteriors largely unchanged so they look like motel rooms.
The gift shop has everything from jams to cookbooks to kitchen utensils and so much more. Be sure to visit and pick up a souvenir

Amazing!!! Food was delicious and atmosphere was so cute! Service was top notch!! If you are lucky enough to have Chaz as your server like we were - oh my goodness- I can’t remember the last time we had such amazing service! Thank you Chaz and Loveless for the great breakfast!!!

We took a short drive to visit the Loveless Cafe store to get a few gifts. Waited to post this review after the gifts were opened and what happened next. We love the food we made using their buttermilk Bisquick mix and preserves! The pancakes are really good too. Their products made great gifts. 😍 We recommend their products. It can cost a bit more, yet they are great for special occasions. Looking forward to making more pancakes and Bisquicks to kick start another great day!
PS - The Bisquick mix calls for buttermilk. Make sure you use buttermilk as it makes the preserves taste amazing!!!!

I promised myself I wouldn't cheat until St. Patty's Day & I did it!!
So this place was the perfect place to let my guard down & attack some good down, home cooking, comfort food...
O M G The homemade biscuits & homemade jam 😍
The Bloody Mary is made from scratch too! (Mine was loaded 😜)
Miss Susan is the coolest, kindest, & most welcoming waitress 💚🍀 She made our experience ultra fun & sweet.
Everyone was super sweet from the moment we pulled up.
You can smell the bbq pork pit as soon as you pull up!!
I love my shirt Shawn Hughes Thank you baby. I love you.
Thank you to all at the #thelovelesscafe

Awesome biscuits to start and our lunch was so goooood food. Allie, our waitress was super sweet and greeted us with a great big smile. Definitely will stop back on our next visit to Nashville ~ this was such a lovely stop for deliciousness on our way into downtown Nashville.
So Grateful & So Blessed!!!

The atmosphere and service (shout-out to Claire) were great! We came on a Monday at 1230 and only waited 10 mins for a party of 5. Pulled pork and red eye gravy were definitely worth writing home for and the kids chicken tenders were so huge we got some white country gravy togo to have chicken fried steak dinner for leftovers. The biscuits were very tasty. Little yeast rolls that reminded me of sister Shubert rolls. The only disappointing thing to me was the fried green tomatoes which I'm particularly fond of were so thin you could barely taste the tomato. But the fried chicken was very crunchy and thick cut white meat with just a touch of spice.

Our server Chaz was fantastic!
The biscuits were delicious. The rest of the food ok, but we were all expecting a whole lot better based on the reviews. My brisket was good, my husband got the pulled pork omelet. The cheese wasn't even melted inside. One person in our party had the country bowl. It was barely warm, and the cheese again wasn't melted. The last person in our party had chicken fried steak. It was ok, but not great, and again the food was barely warm. The Mac & cheese was just ok.

Moderate wait but that is expected with a good cozy cafe like Loveless. Get the chocolate chip pancakes with bacon! Bacon is AWESOME here! Will be back. Once you get served the service is fast.
tom jones
Such a great stop on your way to anywhere. Eat anything and be excited. Do not miss all the jams, biscuits, hash browns and fried chicken. You'll be glad you did.
Steven Javor
Great Southern food and famous for their biscuits, fried chicken and hospitality. Had their dinner combo there with a choice of three proteins and two sides. Was recommended to choose Fried Chicken, Fried Catfish, Pulled Pork, Cheese Grits and Creamed Corn followed by Banana Pudding and coffee. Very satisfying and true southern comfort food. Will have to fast tomorrow to give my arteries a break!
Tim Edwards
No weekend reservations so stand out in the cold. Make sure everyone is present. They make you wait even with empty tables . The food is good but tourist expensive. I have had better biscuits.
Amy Stein
The biscuits are amazing which explains why they bake 10,000 of them daily! The pies where exceptional but if you have a nut allergy please ask about as it turns out the lemon ice box pie crust does contain them. The service is exceptional and truly southern friendly. The gift shops that are in the original hotel have a nice selection and you are able to purchase biscuit mix and preserves along with Loveless Cafe tee shirts and other items.
Lauren Wilder
Yummy! Stopped in for a quick bite. Who doesn't love breakfast for lunch.
Shawna Davis
Absolutely amazing. In town from Chicago for Thanksgiving holiday and ordered a traditional Thanksgiving meal (take home & heat for 11 people) from Loveless Cafe. The staff was super friendly, easy to work with and the food was outstanding!!

We arrived here around 10 am on a Saturday. Plenty of parking spaces but the wait was about 1 1/2 hours. We took a stroll around the property, there are a few shops, a country market/gift shop and local artists shop, to spend some time browsing. Outside, there was a small table set up with complimentary water and lemonade. I was so excited to try the biscuits, they did not disappoint! The fried chicken and hash brown casserole are excellent. I wasn't a fan of the fried green tomatoes. Even though we were both full, we had to try the mixed berry cobbler, delicious! Prices are very reasonable and service was good considering how crowded they were. I would definitely return when I'm back in the area.
Cecilia Nguyen
Country fried steak and eggs was fantastic. We had a side order of biscuits and it came with 4biscuits with a huge array of spreads! You'll end up eating all the biscuits because they're that delicious. Flaky buttery and soft.
Favorite preserve had to be the blackberry one but it came with strawberry, peach , honey and sorghum.
All the food we had was delicious. :)
Charity C
I LOVE this place! The greens are amazing!! They’re definitely my favorite so far. The fried green tomatoes are good, the catfish is good, chicken fried steak is huge, the eggs are decent, the hot warm biscuits will fill you up before the plate even comes. Hash brown casserole isn’t bad, but not worth raving over. I’ve been here twice and have received phenomenal service each time. I’ve been told there’s a wait usually, but I have had no such experience. Was seated immediately! Overall, I think it’s worth a visit.
Chirre Pieterse
We were told the wait would be an hour and a half, it turned out to be 2 hours. The wait was worth it though, very quick and friendly service inside. The fresh biscuits are delicious! The little shops are cute and interesting and it’s nice that they have corn hole on the grounds for entertainment while waiting. Very pleasant experience.

Management of some sort - boarded slacks wearing guy was cursing at an employee in the kitchen. "Quit flirting and get to fk-ing work."
Tried the fried chicken as the server recomended.. was cooked great. To perfection. However, the seasoning on the breading was very dull and wish I had tried something else.
Biskets and Jam was great!
Sebastian Avalon-Caughey
Biscuits were delicious, and they serve you so much delicious food! Worth every penny. Bit of a wait because it's so busy.
Adam White
Awesome environment! Great food. No one was disappointed in the service or the food. The biscuits are uniquely AMAZING! The pulled pork, mashed potatoes and cream corn were also delicious! The The waiter, Owen, was fantastic. It was a 20 minutes drive from downtown Nashville and over an hour wait to get into the café... But well WORTH it!
Scot Farris
Always love eating here. It’s a great place to take the family. We enjoy all of the little shops and games while waiting for a table.
Asa Draper
The whole area with the shops and cornhole was really good. But The Loveless Café was Stupendous, the food was good, but the biscuits is where they really shined. If your in the area go there and get some biscuits.
Euphie
Outside and inside eating available~ they have the sweetest bunch of waiters that are so attentive even though they have to walk out into the sun multiple times. Food was amazing and highly recommend the BBQ and chicken livers. For sides I enjoyed the hashbrown casserole.
Colin O'Connor
A great local Cafe with a unique atmosphere. I had the country fried steak, sweet potatoes, and creamed corn. All were delicious.
Chris Craft
What can you say about Loveless that hasn’t been said?? Great place to eat! Southern soul food to the next level— seriously. A true destination with small shops adjacent and even an event barn out back that is something special. With it being just off the Natchez Trace it a great place to ride your motorcycle too or your bike and enjoy some high quality food and high quality service! Your gonna love it!
Mike Otten
Famous and fun place with good food that is reasonably priced. The fried chicken, ham, pulled pork and biscuits were the stars. The rest of the food was good as well. Fun decor and the servers are super nice and helpful. Would highly recommend checking it out. There are also some fun retail shops to check out.
Richie Bee
Third time here, and the food is so consistently delicious that this may just be my favorite restaurant in the United States. Every. Single. Item. that I've had is EXACTLY how I like it. The service is also perfect and makes you feel right at home. Maybe I eat a little too much when I'm here, but that's on me and my inability to stop eating their delicious food. If you're thinking about coming here, DO IT.
Josh Thompson
The internet will tell you everything you need to know about their biscuits but still come up short. They we amazing and so was the breakfast bowl that I ordered. I wish we could get these biscuits in Ohio!!!
Juliana Simone
Three and a half stars. I'd give it four if I hadn't had to return my fried chicken thigh for being really undone at the joint. They replaced it for me with apologies. The second one was just cooked enough. My partner's beef brisket special that night, however, was very good. Tender and flavorful. We weren't sure the thick piece of white bread it was served on was necessary.
My side of green beans was overcooked and watery but edible with little bits of bacon in them. We both had the macaroni and cheese as our second side dish choice. Standard fare in TN as they all seem to be pretty much the same. The best side was a hash brown type casserole with lots of things baked inside along with the shredded potato.
Biscuits and fresh jams are brought to tables as starters.
The cafe is not a bar so diners can only order from a list of drinks they make on the premises. Their special for the month with blueberries looked good, but with an over 100% proof moonshine, we passed as we had to drive for awhile. We did enjoy the cocktails our friendly waiter made us with strawberries and lemonade.
Business was good and by all of the eight by ten glossies on their reception walls, The Loveless Cafe will be around a long time, especially if they get back to cooking the chicken that made their name for them properly. Desserts are available.
Antoine Bell
Food and service were great! The wait is significant, but killing time at the general store is pretty cool. Try the fresh brewed coffee...it's amazing!
Patrick Raley
One of the best places around for both locals and tourists. Their biscuits and fried chicken are the best of the best, and the service and atmosphere is hard to beat. Can't go wrong getting anything on the menu.
Philip Riegel
The wait is worth the experience. The food is very tasty and you get a good portion. I had the country ham and my wife the country fried steak. Be sure to have some of the delicious biscuits with their original preserves. Rachel our server was very pleasant and on top of things. I recommend The Loveless Cafe.
Shannon Williams
Always a favorite of mine when I travel through there!
Dustin Kelley
Awesome, Awesome, Awesome food here! Great environment, and great decorating. We are traveling across America and landed in Nashville. My beautiful bride of 21 years asked if we could go here since she had heard about it on Pinterest or something like that. Well after seeing that it was 42 minutes away from our RV Resort, I was hesitant. I am so glad that we decided to come! It was well worth the drive! Everything was delicious! We eat all over and both come from the restaurant business and can tell you that this place is one of the top 10 for us in the Great USA. Sorry for the dark pics on this one but lighting was a challenge. Find more food and fun ideas @thekelleyexperience on Insta.

Well worth the 45-minute wait, I loved the fresh hot buttermilk biscuits and preserves. The food was terrific and the staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions for this first-timer.
Donna Bolls
Little bit of a wait, but so well worth it. Take your little buzzer thingy and go visit the shops while you wait. Very friendly staff. The food....awwww the food....delicious!!! I don't even know how to describe it. So, take a trip, visit the Loveless Cafe, you won't regret it.
Sonya Meshque
We had breakfast there today after passing through almost 5 years ago, they put us at the exact same table, that was neat. But what is great is that the staff and food have remained excellent. I live this place and the staff is amazing
Tamara T
They serve biscuits and jams as we were waiting for our food to come. Everything was so delicious even the jams! We brought some jams that they were selling in the market next to the cafe. Staffs are so friendly and gave us the best recommendations for the breakfast. I couldn’t be happier!☺️
Katy Gibson
Absolutely delicious!! We had breakfast and loved it! The biscuits are amazing! Our waitress Cindy was incredible.
Word of advice use the reserve a table on google
Nathan Toth
Wonderful Family atmosphere with pizzazz. Virginia has a perfect personality for how Loveless runs the business. People are wonderful, definitely a place to visit again.
joanne harris
1st time visit, however did not like the eggs they were not made to order and my coffee came to me warm, not hot. And the biscuits were not hot at all. I did voice my opinion, but the eggs still weren't made to order 😕.
Fabian Rocha
I cannot express enough how charming, fun, cozy and delicious The Loveless Cafe is. It's a must stop at least once while you're in town!! You HAVE to try the biscuits.
Michael Dominick
Awesome gift shop and country store. The ham and red eye whisky were on point. Waited 40 mins to be seated, but definitely worth the hype. Go for it you won't regret it.
Glide
Amazing 👌 staff with great food. We ordered the fried chicken, which was on point, pulled pork perfectly cooked and smoked, and blt, it's a BLT But my favorite part of the food were the biscuits so fluffy and warm with amazing jams that were so good we bought some to take home. Such a pleasure to visit, my child actually said he was going to miss Tennessee since the people at the restaurant were so nice. One of the most welcoming restaurants we've been to, with all the staff smiling and friendly 😊. We'll definitely be back.
Kelly Moore
Make reservations!! I went by myself and there was a 1 hour wait at 11:45. But even though it seems like you're in the middle of a semi-rural area, there is lots to do while you wait. Connected to the Cafe there are 2 gift shops, an art/craft shop, and a "barn" they rent out for special events. So the hour wait went by pretty quickly.
They serve breakfast all day. The biscuits are worth the hype, and I love that they have room temperature butter on the tables. Plus they bring out 3 different types of preserves. The peach was my favorite.
I was just killing time here while my husband was working, but I would definitely recommend it for a family outing. I'll come back with my family next time we're in Nashville!
Lonnie Hesiquio
I enjoyed my visit to the loveless cafe. It was out of my way but I took the time to visit. The wait times were long. I spent my time walking around the different shops. The biscuits and jam were amazing!!! I visited for Saint Patrick's Day so I had the pleasure of enjoying the green biscuits. My server was very laid back and efficient. Overall, food was very good and they offer large portion sizes!
Dwight Garrison
Arrive in the early afternoon and had to wait almost two hours before we were seated. Plan on waiting if you go. Food was great. Service was fast and great.
John Ries
Anytime we are near the Nashville area we visit Loveless Cafe. Amazing comfort food anytime of the day. Be sure to check out their pie for dessert!
Charleston Burks
5 Stars everyday. Wow, this was some comfort food. There is a wait (due to its popularity) but the wait is worth the food.
It is decently priced and again, for the quality of food and it's taste, you'd think be charging an arm and a leg. If you're in town or want a place to eat really great food, stop by this place.
You won't regret it.
Gilbert Duggins
By now I guess everyone knows how great this place is. If you are going plan on things taking a while. You know, laid back country style, like it used to be in the south. There is slways a wait here and for many, that's part of the charm. The wait never seems too long and there's slways domething to do. A walk through the little art gallery in the back usually results in us taking something home. Then theres the little store full of Loveless swag and those delicious jams and an ice cold coke in a glass bottle for thosecextra hot days.
I haven't even gotten to the best part, the servers are always so delightful, friendly and even though the place is slammed, they always make you feel like they have all the time in the world to chat you up. It makes you feel relaxed, at home and like you want to stay a while.
My wife swears that nobody makes chicken livers as good as theirs, for me, i like the fried chicken, pork barbecue, you get the picture, it's just damn good and worth every minute you spent waiting for your turn.
Next time you come to Nashville, make time to get some grub at the Loveless, it won't be a waste and it will be one of those places you come back to each time you do visit us in Nashville.
Cristela
The biscuits are, hands down, the primary reason to make the trek outside of the Nashville city limits. They are soft and fluffy, served warm with delicious preserves. My dining partners each had the country ham (watch out, it's SALTY). The grits were creamy and thick, just like I enjoy them. I had the fried chicken breakfast, which was good, but the chicken was a little dry to my liking. I don't know if I would make the journey again, but I do think it's worth at least one trip.
Lenora Santana
Super delicious and never disappoints! I’ve been here many times through the years and the food is always great and there is always a wait. It’s super fun to pop into their stores while you wait and check out the local merch. The food is FABULOUS. Yummy southern fare seasoned to perfection. The biscuits are so awesome of course!
Melissa Davis
There was a 2 hour wait so we ate at the Biscuit Kitchen at the convenience store right next door. It was good, the chicken tenders were very juicy and I loved the crust. It was kind of like a corn flake crust. We will be going back soon to eat in the cafe.
Jason Luscombe
Home of the perfect southern biscuit. If you know a person from a different country that has never had an American biscuit, they should go here to get the correct experience. If you know someone that has tried and doesn't like biscuits, they should give them another chance at Lovelace Cafe. All the food here is good, if not great. All dishes are traditional southern fare. The atmosphere is a flashback in time to a cozy and quaint small town inn. Service is friendly and lives up to the world renowned stereotype of Southern Hospitality.
Henry Farkas
The Loveless Cafe is a family business that has been at this location for 68 years. It's been around since 1951. It was full when we arrived, and they estimated that we'd be seated in 25 minutes, and that was correct.
Service was prompt and friendly. Our liquid refreshment arrived promptly along with some delicious biscuits. They gave us more biscuits when we ran out.
My brother-in-law had grilled catfish which he enjoyed. His wife had pork chops which, she said were OK but not great. My wife ordered the chicken fried chicken. They brought her hair a chicken. It was outstanding. I know this because she gave me half of the chicken.
I ordered the grilled turkey, Swiss cheese and grilled onion sandwich. It looked good, but I can't tell you how it tasted because my wife told me that I had to choose between sharing her chicken and eating my sandwich, but I was not permitted to eat both the chicken and the sandwich.
As a husband, it's my duty to make my wife happy so I took the sandwich with me, and I'll eat it for lunch tomorrow.
I gave this place only three stars for two reasons.
1. My sister-in-law in-law thought that the pork chops were merely OK.
2. The clientele and the servers were not diverse. Everyone was white. I suppose that one visit is a small sample, but 19% of the population of Nashville is non white, I didn't see a single non white face in the restaurant the whole time that we were there.
Lagene Lee
Amazing Southern dining experience! Lots of history with delicious food! Melt in your mouth homemade biscuits & jams! Full breakfast, lunch, & dinner menus. Southern cooking at its finest. Fun shops on the grounds to browse while you wait for your table or to walk off your big meal. Event venues & catering available. Close to the Natchez Trace Parkway & Nashville.
Angela Martinez
One of the best places I have ate at. Sweet staff. Best home cooking you will find at a restaurant. I had the fried pork chops. You get a big portion. Next time I’ll have to split mine.
Erica Jo Byers Pelton
The food was awesome! We ordered the fried chicken and the meatloaf and it was the best fried chicken and meatloaf ever! All of the sides are good also! The biscuits and the preserves that come with every meal are so yummy!! Highly recommend buying more from the store behind the restaurant. The service is very friendly and food came out in a timely manner. I would definitely go back next time we were in Nashville!
Doug Kahn
Biscuits were absolutely amazing..even better hot. Homemade jam included peach/blackberry/strawberry. Entree was ok but nothing to write home about (got pit smoked turkey breast) but the sides were phenomenal (green beans and Mac n cheese)
Nakecia Fuller
We had the southern sampler platter that includes three meats and two sides. We chose chicken, catfish, and country ham as our sides. The mac and cheese was the BOMB! The turnip greens were delicious. We ended our meal with banana pudding. The pudding wasn’t very sweet and I personally didn’t like it but everyone around us loved it. I love, love, love, banana pudding and this was disappointing. The biscuits were good. The sweet tea was not sweet. Our wait time was 1 hour 20 minutes but it went by fast. We visited the shops on the property, took pictures, and talked so the time went by fast. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant.
NashvilleLO
The property around this place is cute. Food is average, but the biscuits are what is on point!! Be expected to have a wait. Not sure if we will be back or not. There are so many better and less crowded places around Nashville.
Julia Thomason
I had been to the Loveless Cafe before, but this was my husband's first visit. He was a little concerned that it was so far away from downtown Nashville, but once he got there he loved it! We made a reservation through Google maps, but still had a wait of about 15 minutes. While we were waiting I enjoyed looking at pictures of celebrities on the wall and we looked over the menu. After we were seated, MawMaw came over and greeted us and continued to provide great service during our meal. My husband got the Southern Sampler Platter and thought it was wonderful. I got the fried liver plate and I could have fed a family of four with all of the livers on my plate! Everything was absolutely delicious! After we had stuffed ourselves we checked out all of the shops and picked up a couple of gifts. The Loveless Cafe will always be a stop on our trips to Nashville.
Kasandra
100% worth the drive! Went on a monday afternoon and was seated promptly. The biscuits are AMAZING! Not too salty, melt in your mouth, and not too crumbly. The waffle was one of the best we ever had! If you get the sampler with fried chicken (and you should) ask for syrup with it! Also, the pulled pork was succulant and tasty. Service was friendly and quick. Signed pictures on the wall are neat to look at. You will not be disappointed when you come!!
Colleen Lemke
A bit of a drive but worth it! About a 45 min. wait at 10 am on a Friday. They do have a couple of little shops you can visit on the picturesque site while you wait. Free biscuits and jams upon seating at table. Great food and very friendly wait staff!
Dee Smith
Food was great, decent portions for price. Waitress was great. Recommend highly for dinner service
Kevin “KG” Gaither
So delicious. I couldn't decide between the pulled pork omelet or the fried chicken so I split it with my friend and tried both. I liked the pulled pork omelet the best.
And the handmade biscuits. For real, you can see them making them in the back.
Also had fried green tomatoes as a side and those were amazing too. (I'm drooling now)
Also, we had a table of 14 and the server allowed us to each have separate checks which was very very generous. I'm from LA and that would NEVER happen. Really loved the Loveless Cafe!
Kaleigh Shipman
Loveless is always my first stop when I'm in the Nashville area! The biscuits and homemade jams are to DIE for! The hashbrown casserole is the best I've ever had, and the wait staff is always friendly and quick. It is 100% worth the long wait, especially since you can shop around their cute little area while waiting for your table.
Omar Ghani
All you need to know about this place is the biscuits. The freaking biscuits man. One of the best I’ve ever had. Sit yourself down, wait for them complementary biscuits and indulge in the butter and jam. It’s worth the drive for this historical restaurant where all people across the country come to visit. Also, enjoy the berry cobbler. It’s sweet, delicious, and the cobbler is thick and great.
Becky Eaton
Loveless has a warm and inviting ambience, great food and service. There is always a bustle of people coming and going. There is usually a wait to be seated but definitely take this time to visit the small boutiques on the grounds that offer great gifts items that include clothing, art and food. This is definitely a place you want to stop and eat.
Glenn Whelan
I must admit, after almost 2 decades living in the area, I avoided the loveless Cafe, justified by my concern it was a tourist trap with industrial food. I was wrong. The service, quality, decor and mostly the food were all excellent. While the delicious biscuits and ham seem to favor a breakfast/brunch meal, that would also be when they experience their largest crowds. They seem especially busy during the Sunday drive or when anyone playing around in the Natchez Trace. Evenings are not as busy and the offerings are worth it. (And you can have that breakfast in the evening if you so desire.)
The food quality and taste are just like grandma used to make. (Not my grandma, but one who used simple ingredients and brought out the best in every meal.)
I ordered too much so was only able to have a small portion of the banana pudding.
While it is out of the way, it is well worth the visit and it won't be another decade delay between my visits to the loveless Cafe.
Harry Rogue
Great Food, Wonderful environment. Our server Amanda was patient sweet and timed our experience out beautifully. I am new to the area and highly recommend it to anyone local or visiting. Biscuits are ridiculous especially with the Loveless Cafe Jams. Fried Chicken is wildly good. Can't make up your mind no problem get the sampler.
debbie
I wish I could give more stars and a little better review but it’s a mixed bag. We drove the Natchez Trace for five hours anticipating eating at the Loveless. Arrived around 3:15pm. We both had a sampler meal, mine with fried chicken, fried catfish, and smoked pork loin. My partner had the chicken, catfish and barbecue pulled pork. Our sides were fried green tomatoes, turnip greens, and green beans. Peanut butter pie was brought back to our RV to devour later.
Biscuits were fresh and tasty along with the three different types of jellies/jams. Peanut Butter Pie is absolutely delicious!
The biggest disappointment was the Fried chicken. Both were overly done and dry as a bone. My partner sent theirs back for a fresh one. I decided to knaw on my chicken but it was really tough. Hush puppies were also overcooked. The catfish was delicious, hot, and tender. The pork (both) were ok. Both the green beans and turnip greens were too salty. The fried green tomatoes were hot, crisp and tasty.
We were just coming from South Louisiana with excellent cuisine and food and also a superb southern buffet in Lorman, MS at Mr D’s Old Country Store. Maybe our taste buds were psyched for the best of foods.
I would like to try their breakfast sometime.
Carolyn Hood
Be prepared for a wait, but it is definitely worth it! We were told an hour, but it wasn't nearly that long, plus you have things to do to help pass the time. Food and service were awesome, as usual.
Victor Macias
What can I say but, FABULOUS! The best food I've had since being in Nashville Tennessee. I had the Watermelon Pork Ribs which were great ! They had a Barbecue rub that was full of smoked flavor and like our waiter said, " Meat just falling off the bone "! The sides were just as flavorful, Carmel Sweet Potatoes and Creamed Corn that was just like it used to be back in the day ! YUM ! My wife had the Southern Fried Catfish which was second to none in flavor. With the Hush Puppies and Carmel Sweet potatoes and Coleslaw, she was very delighted! The atmosphere was warm and inviting just like an old Roadside diner. Our server, Kenney, was attentive and friendly and very informative about the choices on the menu. Which made it very hard to choose what to eat because of the numerous choices. Their prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food they serve. After dinner we had a stroll around the surrounding area and visited the Gift shop and Country Store which were part of the Cafe .There we found plenty of other novelties and food to choose from and take home. This is one stop we really enjoyed on our trip to Nashville Tennessee.
Daniq Puspita
The food taste is good, nice place to visit before picnic, the price is affordable, nice staff. The location it self is in next to the street so easy to find out.
Besides of cafe, they have motel as well, stores. I think without Covid19, this place will be more awesome. And they have social distance. Wearing mask. So we are all safe.
Sushmitha Diwakar
Amazing experience, great ambience which gives a feel of old American motel and the location is spot on!
A nice get away place for people in and around Nashville,TN.
Their Biscuits are to die for, and its for FREE!
And you could plan a good day off to visit this place and and their stores have very delicious preserves as take aways apart from the Cafe Menu they offer.
Plan for the scenic drive in Natchez Trace.
Ann Williams
The biscuits and preserves were amazing!!! Burgers were ok, fries were good, hush puppies were very filling. Gotta go back try breakfast other dishes! The people there were so sweet and kind!
Tony San Giovanni
Great setting and food. Unfortunately, we visited during tis darn Covid period and they only served in boxed lunches. The outside has cute little picnic tables that are round, so you can talk to each other. These are first come, first served and we were able to find one. My wife and I ordered the fried chicken and our buddy ordered the country fried steak with white gravy. We had sides, but the best were the French fries, green beans, fried okra and the baked candied apples. Our server was a delightful girl named Bamma! Authentic southern food. We highly recommend it!
Reyann Gonzales
The drive to this restaurant was really nice. So much green leaving downtown Nashville definitely worth the drive. Had to get the biscuits since that was recommended. Had one with each of the different flavors of homemade jellies. There was a wait but it wasn't horrible because they have different shops you can browse while you wait.
The staff were really kind and I will be back when visiting Nashville.
Al Betts
Had to wait about 30 minutes so we visited the related shops on the grounds. Southern hospitality was displayed when we arrived and in every shop we visited. When we were seated we were serves a heaping pile of buscits with and assortment of their jams. Oh were they good. For lunch we tired the Watermelon BBQ Ribs with green tomatoes as the sides and the original fried chicken breast with creamed corn. Everything we tried was delicious.
Michael Swierk
This is a great little restaurant to visit while touring Nashville. The place has a very cozy, down home feel to it with some tables having a view into the kitchen.
We came for an early dinner and were seated immediately. Service was excellent as were the complimentary biscuits and jam. The food here is best described as southern comfort food and the portions were generous. I'm not sure which I liked better, the entree or the delicious side dishes. I found the staff very friendly, including the gift shops. I will definitely return here the next time I'm in town.

Wonderful meal in a quaint restaurant..I had made a reservation via OPEN TABLE.. We were seated immediately as we were early diners.
Service was excellent, food was excellent, biscuits were fresh, hot and jams yummy..
We bought some things to take home from there store..
Ben Meredith
Heart shaped biscuits and rare steak for Valentine's Day breakfast. The peach preserves remind me of delicious peach cobbler. The biscuits were well worth the 45 minute drive!
TheMoySauce
Holy biscuits! The food here is amazing and the biscuits as well I would just come here just to eat the biscuits. The wait wasn't too bad they have a whole bunch of shops to keep you busy. We also got drinks here and their bloody mary is must! Nothing here we tried was bad but I highly recommend the fried chicken!
Joel S
So good. Dinner: get the sampler, comes with three generous entre samples and two generous sides. If there's two of you, choose different sides as there is enough to share.
Ask for honey and molasses and then ask them to mix the molasses with butter. So good on those biscuits.
Michael Karp
Our waitress Virginia was phenomenal!! She even took our kids around and showed them where the biscuits were made so my wife and I could have a minute to eat in peace! The food was amazing, deff worth the 25 min drive from downtown! This is a must see if your in the area and need a breakfast spot! Thank you for everything. Good service, great people, amazing food.
Chris Lantaff
Good food and great service. I had the southern sampler platter with smoked loin, catfish and chicken, with squash casserole and mashed potatoes. The pork loin was nicely smoked and the catfish was fried well. The chicken wasn't bad but a little different than I'm used to. The squash casserole was very good.
My wife had the chicken fried steak and the thing was HUGE, and very good.
The biscuits are fantastic with the preserves that is served with them.
We both left in a food coma.

Worth the wait and the hype!
We drove about 30 min from our hotel and waited about 40 to be seated and it was WORTH IT in the biscuits alone. They’re fluffy and a little crispy warm and just everything you’d expect of a southern biscuit. They come straight to your table with out asking along with 3 types of homemade preserves, Strawberry, BlackBerry and Peach. Inside the menu it notes that Honey and Sorghum are available upon request. REQUEST them! The honey and butter combo are delish enough, you know this! But Sorghum was incredible. We are from the “North East” (NJ) and haven’t even heard of Sorghum before but our waiter Tom told us to try it. Amazing. (We even got a plate of buscuits to-go! My husband had the pulled pork bbq with creamed corn and Mac and cheese. All VERY good! I had a pimento cheese burger, delicious and my first time having pimento cheese. I also had a side of Fried Green Tomatoes that we’re surprisingly light and of course crispy. Make a plan to go here, spend some time, and enjoy an old southern tradition turned tourist spot that has remained completely authentic!
Kandace Brown
Delicious chicken tenders! I love how the barbecue is served hot. My husband ordered the breaded pork chop dinner and my son had the chicken salad. Lovely location to stop and stretch your legs, have a delicious meal and then get on down the road!
Joe Baksha
Country kitchen eating. Biscuits, BBQ and fried chicken in a nostalgic setting. Servers are always fantastic. Get there early as there is usually a wait.
Mark Campbell
Classic old school Nashville. Amazing sides and biscuits. Lots of classic dishes and all day breakfast. Hard to go wrong here.
Candice Miller-Felton
Pulled in about 1230 pm on Christmas Eve. Had a 15 minute wait for table for three. Excellent friendly service from the hostess to our server. Biscuits and jam were delicious (got some from the store to go with us). Lunch was delicious.
Terry & Corinne Lattimer
A step back in time, this converted hotel is a fun excursion for locals and tourists. Buildings converted to various gift shops offer unique keepsakes and pass the time as you wait for your table. Plan for an hour wait. Great collection of autographed photos of the stars. Watch them make their famous biscuits. Friendly service. Good food. Hash brown casserole and waffles are special.
USA Babe007
This has always been one of my favorite places to eat. I realize we are in a pandemic. But the food felt old. It didn't have the same texture as fresh except the biscuits. Hopefully it will improve back to the great restaurant it has always been.
Michaelia Brown
Great food. VERY generous portions!! If you have room their coconut cream pie and peanut butter cream pie (winter season only) is fabulous! We've been twice now. Service was ok first time. Went again today and Tammy (waitress) was absolutely amazing!! Recommend calling ahead for reservations during "busy hours" i.e. we went Friday for dinner. But it's worth the wait and you can visit their shops or play outdoor games while you wait! A definite must if you're in the Nashville area.

I live just a few miles fro the world famous Loveless Cafe, so I have had the chance to eat here many times. Two things you can always expect...a wait to get a table, and an amazing meal. I’ve waited as long as an hour and I’ve also been immediately seated. That being said, it’s very rare to be immediately seated. If you have to wait, the grounds are lovely and they have several cute shops you can look through to take up your time. Everything from tee shirts, to handmade crafts, and even kitchen supplies and smoked hams are available. The lobby to the restaurant has hundreds of signed headshots on the walls. From Alan Jackson to captain Kangaroo, there are lots to look through. Once you’re seated you can expect amazing service and incredible country cooking. They are world renowned for their biscuits, but everything on the menu is amazing. The portions are also very good. If you’re on a Leto diet you can even find something to eat although there is no shortage of sugar and wheat on the menu. It’s a really fun place to eat.

I've been here several times now and food has been pretty consistent. I got the 1) southern sampler platter w meatloaf, ham, bbq pork and side of turnip greens and hashbrown casserole. 2) fried chicken gizzards w side of green beans and fried okra. 3) of course had to have plenty of biscuits w sugar, sorghum and butter dip. Best biscuits ever! Buttery, flaky and definitely filling. Server was super nice.
Marianne D.
I can't rave enough about this place!!! Our wait was 1 hour and 40 minutes for Sunday Brunch time but worth every second of it! We visited the different shops, played some of the games, and might have even sipped some blueberry wine while we waited. 😉 The food was exactly what we wanted when we said southern cookin. Delicious and plentiful. The staff were just perfect. Friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The best bang for our buck we've experienced in many trips! All of the food in the pictures was less than $40. We are actually planning a day trip from Cincinnati just to eat here again!
T Lawson
Our waitress was awesome but the food was a huge let down. We were there on July 4th and I was told the ribs were made with watermelon bbq and served with a slice of watermelon on top but it wasn’t. My ribs came slathered in bbq sauce and it overpowered the ribs. I also ordered the Mac n cheese and the collard greens for my sides and they were okay. My husband ordered a breakfast meal that offered ham, sausage, and bacon with hash browns (that were mediocre) eggs and gravy and biscuits. The gravy seemed to be from a mix that you mix water with....The biscuits and jam were very good but the 2 hour wait wasn’t worth the food we got.
Maureen Hajek
Food & service were excellent!
Sam Nichols
Great breakfast location. Off the beaten path South of Nashville but nestled in beautiful rolling hills. Well worth the drive. We loved the southern homemade cooking. The biscuits and jams are out of this world. The 2 hour wait was made easier by the expansive grounds and the Cornhole games that passes the time. Worth the wait.
We each tried different classic southern breakfasts and each of them were top shelf. I suggest ordering some of their famous fried chicken for the road and some hash brown casserole for tomorrow morning.
Anna Daemon
Best biscuits we had on our big Southern Roadtrip. Hot, fresh, yummy jams, they were perfect. Husband and I both loved home style southern meals. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Didn’t have to wait for seating at all. (OK the torrential rain may have had something to do with that) Still craving those biscuits... we need a Loveless in Delaware!
H Barnhorn
WOW, those biscuits are great and as are their preserves. Pies and banana pudding were fantastic. I loved the eggs and pulled pork for breakfast as much ad my BLT with fried green tomato.q
Joyce Wales
Great food! The fried chicken is classic! And you MUST save room for dessert, or at least get it to go. The pies are to die for, especially the coconut cream! Friendly service. Good prices. Definitely worth the wait if there is one.
tony brack
Please find time to go this iconic institution! The food and service is out of this world! I had the sampler plate with the ham, fried chicken and fried catfish and my wife had the grilled catfish!
Maria Colon
Loved this place!!! Food was wonderful!! Staff was friendly!! Would recommend and will be returning next time we are in Nashville!!
Sunny Viswanathan
Great country/comfort food about 20 minutes from Nashville, TN. The location is out of the way, but worth the drive. The food is spot on, can't go wrong no matter what you end up getting. Must visit if you are in Nashville.
David Hampton
This place lives up to the hype and is well worth the wait! Jason provided great service as did the entire staff! Everything I ordered was perfect! The fried catfish was probably the best I've eaten! The sides were just as good! And the biscuits were addictive! Put the Loveless Cafe on your "must do" list. You wont regret it!
Ron Pitts
The food and service was good. Think I was hoping for a meat and three. Very nice place though.
Nisha D'Souza
Family owned place. Can't make reservations. We had to wait for 45 mins before we got a table. But worth the wait. Their biscuits were mouth watering melting in the mouth delicious. Freshly made & served with their homemade marmalade or preserves. Must visit place. Our server Rachel was very sweet & efficient.
Bell
I finally made it the the Loveless Cafe! So happy I came. I agree, amazing biscuits. Cute cottage vibes with a family atmosphere. Tons of things to do in the area, but most importantly to us, it was a warm place with good food after a hike. Every Nashvillian should come out to loveless sometime!
Blake Gifford
There was a long wait to get a table, but it was well worth it. The biscuits were perfect especially with the all three of the preserves, and a large slab of butter. It’s hard to resist but pace yourself on the biscuits because you won’t have enough room for anything else. The fried chicken I had with chicken and waffles was the best I have EVER eaten. I think they fry bacon in the grease right before they fry the chicken. I wanted to eat the bones as well, it was that good. The coffee was on point. I knew the coffee was good since I had a sample of it in the gift shop while waiting for my table.
Exie Buehler
Long wait, but worth it! Biscuits were amazing and the fried chicken was superb! Service was excellent, but the bathrooms could have been cleaner, thus the loss of 1 star. Had a lot of fun playing the placemat games (haven't seen one in years) Enjoyed going through all the little shops and seeing the pictures of famous peoole who have come here.
Greg K
If you’re a fan of real southern food, this is where you want to come. Don’t wear jeans, cause you’re gonna come out of here a few pounds heavier! Everything I’ve tried is excellent. I’ll let the pictures do the talking.
Jacob Robinson
Best restaurant ever! Don’t hesitate, JUST GO!!! You won’t regret! Amazing food and southern hospitality!! Shoutout to Chaz for being an awesome waiter! Will be back soon!
Barbara Deckard
We ordered their famously fried chicken and biscuits and were not disappointed! The biscuits were served with their homemade strawberry jam and their chicken suddenly disappeared!
Joel rafael
It's very simple, would you like to be treated like family, do you want a welcoming atmosphere, hospitality that just makes you smile? If yes, please come here! The food is wonderful southern food, made right! It's a great place to just sit and enjoy some great food!
Lynne Wolfe
We love to take our guests to the Loveless Cafe. (We don't go on the weekend. It's usually a 2 hour wait). Friendly service and the food is delicious, hot, and plenty of it. You are served hot biscuits and homemade jams as soon as you order and they will keep them coming as long as you can eat them. Here are the biscuits and the chicken strips plate.
Gabriel Gamino
Food options are good and the warm biscuits are delicious.
Wait time is not bad (35mins Thursday afternoon). A lot to see and do at their little shops to kill some time.
Staff is great and they make you feel welcomed.
Laura Barnhart
I can't believe I've never heard of this place. Great southern food! I had the sampler. Fried chicken, fried catfish and meatloaf with collard greens and fried green tomatoes. Delicious. They make and sell their own perserves. Also enjoyed the Lynchburg lemonade.
Todd Woodstra
This place is history. Great depiction of what you would think of a cafe in the south would be like. The biscuits are amazing, the fried chicken is great. The service was very friendly and attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed our time. Don't go here if you're looking for diet food. This is food from the south and you should treat yourself. Love this place
Michael Stone
Holy Biscuits!! Absolutely delicious meal. Biscuits when you sit down at the table. Pulled pork, fried chicken, country ham. And did I mention Biscuits!! Friendly service throughout. Make sure you see the store after you left meal.
Mayu
Delicious food. Great to do reservation in advance online.
tommy breeden
Omg. What can I say. The wife and I went here for the first time and it was the best. Fresh homemade biscuits. They have the best pulled pork I’ve ever had in my life. Slow smoked for 22hrs. Fried okra was really good Nashville hot chicken was really good. The best pecan pie. We look forward to going back
sarah lewis
Great place for breakfast! The waitresses and other workers weren't harried at all, but friendly and efficient. We did have a 25 min wait, but there are several shops to meander through while you wait. It was worth the trip on our way out of town. I recommend the Country Breakfast bowl.
Anita D
Wonderful atmosphere and friendly service. Fresh homemade various dishes to choose from. Nashville Tennessee
Bhavana Rathi
Nice place and good food😊 they serve breakfast menu all day! All Server were really good
Gets busy and waiting on weekends …
Lou Hale
Our waitress, Bama, was so helpful and accommodating. The chicken is cooked to ABSOLUTE perfection! I added pimento cheese to my chicken sandwich and I have NO regrets!
Ivan Nekrasov
Absolutely loved it! If you're visiting the Nashville area or if you live here, it's a must to experience Loveless cafe. Food is amazing, staff is friendly and vibe is authentically southern. You can find modern hipster places with "small plates" anywhere, but Loveless cafe is one of a kind. A true historic treasure in the heart of Middle Tennessee that will take you back into the 1950's.
Today we went to eat my birthday dinner at the Loveless cafe, after spending the afternoon in the Country Music Hall of Fame Museum. One of the best birthdays I ever had! Highly recommend!
James O'Hara
Wow! Best place to eat in Nashville hands down. First off our server Robin was excellent. Very friendly and quick to offer some suggestions since it was our first time there. Biscuits were the best I’ve ever had, next to my grandmas. Very light and airy. Great homemade preserves. Had the sampler with fried chicken, bbq pulled pork and country ham. Got a variety of sides. Everything was hot, fresh and delicious. Chicken was seasoned and fried perfectly. Smoked pork was some of the finest I’ve ever eaten. Country ham was tasty too. I recommend the hash brown casserole and cream corn! Will definitely visit again.
Claire Francis
Not long to wait at all. Staff all friendly and welcoming. Food was amazing and great vaule too. The biscuits....wow! Looked the little stores and so many things you can buy. The whole family enjoyed the visit.
Nancy Dobson
Fun place to visit and eat. Great service - shout out to Kenny! Food was tasty and the biscuits are as good as they say they are.
Mary Gavlik
yeppers best biscuits ever. even though it was valentine’s day we walked right in. had to try the bloody mary made with moonshine. it was yummy.
Dave S
Great place for breakfast. Our server, Trent, was great. We had a wait so we checked out the shops. I don’t know who the young lady was that was working the shop in the back but she was great and gave us some good food recommendations. I thought Id try something different and went with the chicken and waffles. The waffle was great but the chicken was dry. I would go back again and probably stick with breakfast meats I would normally pick.
Ross
Cute, clean, and friendly, but way overpriced and I'm pretty certain all the breakfast items were served out of warming trays in the kitchen. Basically a hidden buffet served to you for way too much money. Scrambled eggs dry and the sausage patties not edible. I'm sure only tourists stop here. No locals would come back for the food.
S T
Short 20 minute wait despite being busy. Delicious biscuits, everyone loved what they ordered. We got desserts, the strawberry-rhubarb pie was great and the coconut was the best I've ever had. The hashbrown casserole was also the best I've had, it's delicious.
Jeanne Rogers
Long wait but worth it. Great biscuits with homemade jams; blackberry, strawberry, and peach. Service with a smile and country friendly.
Virginia Dickey
we heard a lot about this place so we went to see for ourself. the food was ok huge servings we ate our leftovers for dinner . the best biscuits we ever had would go back.
Elaine Wilder
The biscuits and preserves were perfection! This honey chipolte smoked chicken was amazing. The caramel sweet potatoes and green beans were a disappointment, no real flavor at all.
Hugo Aguas
I understand why this place is highly revered- the food and atmosphere is standout. I ordered the chicken and waffles while my partner had a pulled pork omelet. 😋 I also had some of their blueberry pie which was a knockout. To drink, I had some moonshine with lemonade. If I'm ever back in town, I'll be back. The biscuits! Omg, the biscuits! Add some butter and their freshly made preserves to complete the journey and viola! Perfection.
Jonathan Nolasco
Best fried chicken I’ve ever had in my life! Everything tasted deliciously homemade and service was fantastic! The wait is worth it!
Adam Putnam
The hype around this restaurant is evident by the crowd and long wait. This made me excited to see what the food would taste like. The atmosphere was nice and the decor was what you would expect. I got the fried chicken and mac and cheese. The chicken was mediocre and there are many better options in the Nashville. The mac and cheese was watery and bland. Don’t give into the touristy hype and do more research to find a restaurant with better food and where it doesn’t take an hour to get seated.
Albert Shenko
Biscuits are included, feel free to ask for more. Hot chicken isn’t all that hot - it’s their fried chicken tossed in hot sauce - which unfortunately soaks a bit too much into the bread.
John McCamey
We always make it a point to have at least one meal here when we are in the area. Their food is very good and so is the service. We had breakfast this time between us we had pancakes, French toast, chicken and waffles, and a breakfast bowl. I would recommend any of it. Oh and we also had a side of cream corn. One of our favorites. The wait depends on when you go. Ours was about 30 mins on a Wednesday but we have waited up to 2 hours on a weekend. There are some shops on the grounds for you to look through as you wait.
Jay Wofford
Every time we come to Nashville, the Loveless Cafe is on our list of stops. Some of the best biscuits and jelly you could ask for. Their chicken is amazing! If you leave hungry well then that's on you! Good sized portions and oh did I mention the biscuits and jelly?
Felo Roman Sanabria
Nice place, many amenities, the restaurant, gift shop, the market. The food is really delicious, the employees very courteous and coolest, like it!!! Thank you so much for the service, So see you soon guys! 😊 👍👍👍 …
Kirsten Thompson
As delicious as I was expecting ... fried chicken, creamy grits & fried okra ... you can’t go wrong with these southern classics don’t forget the warm biscuits with jam to start ... and a lil banana pudding for the finale ... AMAZING service and food
John Christiansen
We arrived to no power because of a storm but talking with Keith and his team at Loveless while waiting for the power to come back on gave us a chance to get a feel for Loveless Cafe and the people there...and as great as they are...the food is just as great and tasty. The home cooking did not disappoint and our server Brandy so fun and helpful...I had both breakfast and the chicken dinner way too much food to finish but just had to try it...we can't wait to go back and see our new friends. This is a must go to if you're in the Nashville area..you won't regret it.
Becky Steeby
Breakfast was delicious, country ham and hash brown casserole, service was excellent and atmosphere charming. Our waitress Anna was personable and brought us things before we had to ask. The little complex was fun to explore. Definitely worth the trip out to the burbs.
Tim Gill
If you're traveling through Nashville, make time for breakfast, lunch or dinner. If you're in Nashville for some boot stomping on Whiskey Row, you MUST make time for Loveless ❤. If you're a local and haven't.....you've must. Don't let the crowd discourage you....waits can be 90 minutes, but there's plenty and plenty of activities and country shops to keep you business. Th food, AMAZING. Pictures will speak for themselves.
Randall Terrell
This is always a wonderful experience, prices are moderately high, but food is always great! The waitress are always the best, I've never had a bad experience there! Highly recommend the chicken, but that is what they are famous for! And biscuits with the jelly is a added bonus!
Belinda Garza
Delicious southern cuisine! Fried chicken, ham, fried tomatoes, candied yams, biscuits & so much more!
Sharon Sauer
Food is always delicious. The complimentary biscuits are so good. Service is always friendly and attentive. Love the nostalgic country vibe. One of our favorite restaurants in the Nashville area.
ben lowman
There's a darn good reason this place has been opened for more an 50yrs. Best friend chicken and biscuits in the South!
Dustin Grimes
Came on a Tuesday evening.. No wait time at all! Biscuits were to die for! Fried chicken sent me to heaven! Customer service is top notch. Beautiful scenery around the entire "campus". Loved everything about this place.
Alan Hoang
Just what you'd expect - good southern food, friendly service, all in a charming vintage motel and restaurant. Complimentary biscuits were good and we enjoyed the country ham, country fried steak, and pulled pork. Get the hashbrown casserole and make a reservation if you want to avoid the wait!
Teresa Dalton
We had the best server, Chaz! He was absolutely amazing! Very patient with us newbies! The biscuits are yummy! The homemade jellies are yummy! The country ham... Oh my! Our plates were good... But not as good as the ham, jellies and biscuits! It was a great experience because of our server!
Marlene Dodge
Loved our lunch at Loveless Cafe! We were seated promptly and quickly spoiled with the best Southern meal (we were visiting from Utah)!
Everything we ordered was incredibly tasty especially their fried chicken.
Cassie Grutz
Was in town visiting some friends and we stopped by the loveless cafe for breakfast. It was excellent. Their biscuits are to die for and everything on the menu looked fantastic. They have cute little shops to poke around at while you wait for your table. We will definitely be back!
PERSIA 5
What a great place to eat a local breakfast:) Love the music ….on the menu
The hash browns was really good! We loved the biscuits even tho we r not a biscuit lover! Definitely will eat here again 🥰
Mr. G
Unique motel cafe that learned how biscuits and ham could make it a destination. Service is friendly and quick. Enormous selection of breakfast and dinner items. Or just have a coffee and a piece of pie. Great example of how getting off the Interstate to get fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese is a good idea.
Dana Foust
Worth the iconic stop off the beaten path outside of downtown. Service was phenomenal! Food was ok. Have had better fried chicken and waffles.
Paul Harvey
Fantastic food and service. We was over from England and had a great breakfast 😋. Loads of parking at the rear. Don't tell the Mrs about the photo as no doubt she will kill me 🤣
Ellie Cervantes-Gros
Excellent place for some authentic home cooking. Staff is wonderful, and the gift shops are super cute! Photo is of the biscuit combo. The fried green tomato and pimento cheese biscuit is superb! Please be sure to ask for Chaz. He's a great staff member there.
Charmon Williams
My experience this place popular biscuits and like French Toast 😋 with sausage and two eggs
Steve “Stevie G.” Gallegos
A Nashville landmark, the Loveless Cafe is a wonderful diner serving up southern cooking worthy of praise. It gets busy, busy, busy here however, there is plenty of gift shopping to do in what is the converted section of the Motel. The food is good, tasty, and they serve you plenty of it. By all means...order the Biscuits! They are light, fluffy, and butterfly!!!! The only thing that leaves here lighter than when you arrive is your wallet...not that it's expensive, there's just lots to buy! #LiveRemarkably #LovelessCafe #Nashville
Kim Tyler
Recommeded to go here by friends, and it did not disappoint. Quite a drive from the city, tucked away in the hills, but so worth it. It is a quaint cafe ghat serves breakfast, supper and pie. We did nit have to wait, arriving at about 945am. The place waa busy but not crowded. My husbad ordered a BBQ pork omlette with hasbrown casserole and i ordered the BBQ pork and eggs with cheese grits. Comes with plates of homemade biscuits. All the food was amazing! The only thing i didn't like wss the use of american cheese in the grits. But the food was really incredible and definitely made on the spot! Wait staff was very friendly and made you feel like family. There is also a couple of gift shops on site as well as the BBQ pit where they cook their meat. This is definitely worth the drive and such a great restaurant.
John Kasper
Great food, and such a popular place you should arrive an hour before you really want to eat. Even in the off hours there is still a significant wait for a table. Worth it, but plan for it and take advantage of their attractions
Cheryl Patterson
Amazing food and service. Be prepared to wait at meal times but its so very worth it!
Joseph Crone
Had a wonderful start to my trek down the Trace at the Loveless Cafe. Biscuits were hot, beverages were exceptional, the eggs, assortment of breakfast meats, and hashbrowns casserole was delicious. Kirsten was a really helpful, sweet waitress. She helped me make up my mind as I tend to be indecisive when making decisions on what to order for breakfast. There was plenty leftover to takeout for my pups Uncas and Zeus to have a healthy breakfast 🐕🐾
Ramona Wallace
Service was good, food great as always.
Charles Cooper
I need to be honest. Places like Loveless aren’t really my thing. I thought I was coming to a country diner but it’s really a bit of a tourist attraction. Loveless has expanded into a small compound with retail outlets, an arts and crafts store, and a specialty grocery and coffee shop. There’s nothing wrong with all this mind you, and it’s kind of nice for the people who are waiting to eat. But it also attracts large crowds which, for me, make the whole thing a little less enjoyable. Of course, the diner itself is already a landmark that brings in people from far and wide. So if you’re coming on a weekend be prepared to wait 1-2 hours if you arrive after 9:30.
As for the food, this is really good roadside diner fare. And they’ve got a smoker so there are often great specials on the menu. The service is also top notch. I would also say, in my humble opinion, that the biscuits are a bit overrated. Perhaps it’s because they make a ton and give away with every meal. But they’re pretty doughy and I usually look for a flakier and more golden biscuit experience.
Anyway, many people love Loveless. I enjoyed it. But I do think there are many diners and cafés that are just as good but without the crowds and wait times.
Wayne Obetz
Incredible biscuits and jams to start and a belly filling burger as the main course. A simple menu, but one on which you're sure to find something to leave your appetite satisfied. The service was fast and our waitress was first rate. Well worth stopping by if you're in the area
Matt Davis
Went on a drive on the Trace and thought we could go to the loveless cafe. Man I was wrong. There was a two hour wait there. Thankfully we walked over to the Shell next door and found this place. They have a limited menu but they cooked everything fresh and quickly. The food was delicious and the jam was fantastic. You still get the loveless famous biscuits. So it was not a total bust of a day.
Joshua Culver
I loved this place great food and great people just an awesome place to eat at and the gift shop is awesome too! 10 stars but I could only put 5
Markaye Simpson
Fun gift shop, fun service and atmosphere in the cafe and the food was great. Biscuits are a must!
jaima chevalier
No superlatives on the food but the homey aesthetic and fun setting make for a classic Southern experience.
Kimball Love
Susan is the best server and Chuck took time to help with my food allergies - amazing! Historic spot on the Natchez Trace and a fun general store. So much to love!
Lynsey Workman
Always great! My daughter has a peanut allergy and the manager put our fears to rest. We are so thankful!!!!!
Jo Rainwater
Never a bad meal here! It's so hard to choose because everything is soooo good. The wait times can get high during peake hours, but don't let that stop you. There is plenty to do and see while you wait.
Jill Waller
Loveless Cafe is still one of my go-to spots when in Nashville. A beautiful drive out of the city and such a charming destination. Always busy but you can check out the gift shops while you wait. Food = heaven!
Jay TMG
Before you eat ANYWHERE else in the Nashville area . . . do this. Go early for breakfast. There's always going to be a line. It's always going to be worth it. Great bit of history in the place, too. Besides the restaurant, the original motel rooms have been turned into shops. But they're not junky tourist shops. Most sell mixes, jams, bacon, etc that 's served in the cafe
Sherri B
Not sure if these are the best biscuits I've ever had, but they are pretty good. Expect a long wait, but there's plenty of things to keep you occuywhile you wait.
Joni George
Wow! This place is delicious. We tend to get the breakfast selections when we are here. Service is top notch.
Lucy Allen
Very well worth the ride, and the usual wait. Today we got seated rather quickly and our food came out just as fast. However your not reading a review on loveless cafe for the timing. The food is AMAZING! The biscuits are just like granny made, and all the jam and jelly too. We ordered just like we would have at cracker barrel but it was even better. Creamer and cheesier hash brown casserole and Mac and cheese. Definitely everything you anticipate and more. Worth waiting. Lots to explore while you wait too. You are going to want to get a separate thing of biscuits because they are so good you won't want to share. I think I had a sample of everything!
Lucy Trapp
Love this place and the history. The food is awesome! Thanks to my hubby for a great time today!
Johnny Hiett
Wow. This place is summthin. Okra in the top 5. Great smoked turkey. Chicken livers great, super fried chicken, steak is tender. Fantastic old motel site made into many facilities. Nice restrooms. Good parking. Go. Eat.
Lichia Bucklin
The place was busy when we arrived, so ordered take out. We were disappointed with our dinner. The biscuits were nothing special, like they were made yesterday. The ham was like eating jerky, and the food was just warm. Their jams were very good though, we even purchased a jar of the apple butter. Staff friendly.
Nathan
My god I could eat these biscuits and preserves for the rest of my life and die early from heart disease and still have no regrets.
Leanne Kirkham
Cool spot even though it's highly trafficked and touristy. The food is really good, and they are super accommodating even with my dietary restrictions. Cool gift shop, jams and etc to go. Definitely a must-try in Nashville, I'm a local and we keep it in the rotation.
Erik Harris
The food is consistently good, but it is definitely on the touristy side which is why it's great to bring family and friends visiting from out of town there.

When leaving Nashville in the AM going southwest on our motorcycle road trips, The Loveless Café is always the place for breakfast. Our last trip we drove into Nashville near dinner time, so this time, The Loveless Café was the stop for dinner. Their fried chicken did not disappoint! Just be careful of their biscuits, its hard to stop eating them.

Fabulous service, oodles of fresh, hot biscuits and huge portions! We all had enough food for the next day. Make sure to save room for dessert! We will definitely be back!

I had an event there in their Harpeth event room. Very cozy and beautiful character. The staff was amazingly helpful and the food was delicious especially their jelly preserves. They have the restaurant along with gift shops and event rooms they offer. Love the country hometown feel and would definitely recommend them in to my friends.

I could only give 3 stars, not that they didn't try to make things right the 1st time. The 1st time my bacon arrived split open and everything was VERY warm, I don't know how long in shipping. Loren made things right (?) She sent out more bacon and sweet potato butter BUT she told me that the pecans were supposed to be sticky. Well, I liked them and ordered more AND NO the 1st batch was melted, the 2nd batch, that I paid for again was delightful. The item I LOVED the most was their corn relish so I ordered 3 more jars and much to my dismay, I opened one of the jars and it smelled like a public restroom. No I will not be ordering again.

When I visited, I thought it would be a small diner, but it's a small complex of which the diner is a part. Breakfast filled me for the entire day, sat outside and they provided good service
