Steve and Laurie were so helpful. the food was delicious. when they asked what we wanted we simply said " to get drunk an eat tacos" the taco buffet bar was exactly what i wanted. they were accommodating. they made food to our specific tastes an diets. to the point they were sweet enough to make left overs for my husband and i to have later that night. if i were to do it again id hire them in a heartbeat

We had our wedding ceremony & reception at the Emerald City Enchanted Forest Venue with their BBQ buffet for dinner. If you're looking for a laid back supper club vibe for your wedding, look no further! If the venue doesn't suit your needs, they also cater and you will not be disappointed - our guests could not stop talking about how excellent the food was and it was honestly even better than at our tasting. Laurie & Oz were great to work with and answered all our questions. We also opted for the soft pretzel late night snack which was a hit, as was the vintage bar area. We had about 80 guests at our wedding, but you could easily fit 150+ in the space.

Steve and Laurie catered our wedding and were absolutely great to work with! They were very attentive and responded to inquiries all through the process. We had a make your own pasta bar and our guests LOVED it! It was a great alternative to “traditional” wedding food-highly recommend the zoodles (zucchini noodles) as an alternative to pasta (we had both). Can’t say enough about these two and how they do business-very personal and caring. Thank you, Steve & Laurie for helping make our day what we pictured and wanted-so wonderful!

Laurie and Oz have always been wonderful when I have called them to cater an event. They have been able to accommodate us even with short notice and a fluctuating head count. We most recently used their venue and as expected it was great! Laurie was able to bring out additional tables on the spot to accommodate our activities. Went there for a funeral lunch. Had fried chicken, barbecue, brats, mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, gravey, buns, salad. All served buffet style. The food was very flavorful and well done along with the cocktails.

There's no place like the Emerald City. From the ruby red shoes to the Cowardly Lion with positive messages out front you will enjoy this trip to Oz. The chef behind the curtain is fantastic. The food has a variety of textures and flavors that will tickle your taste buds. This is a lovely family restaurant were you can enjoy your meal and here everybody's conversation at the table. This is a perfect restaurant for people you need to use hearing aids because you don't have to turn them off to hear the conversation at the table. The tables are wide enough and long enough to fit the food on without feeling claustrophobic. This is truly a restaurant of the community as they contribute on a Sunday buffet on the first Sunday of every month you are able whatever you can afford and all the proceeds that day get donated to the hunger task force of Milwaukee. They are well known for they're excellent catering outside the restaurant itself For Weddings, corporate,fiesta de quince años, and celebration of life occasions. Large parking lot for ease of coming and going it is located on 13th Street in the 3800 block across from the st. Albert Cemetery. There is a full-service bar that is separate from the restaurant . Really cool feature is a gazebo for wedding pictures and other pictures for fun and making memories. Hannah is a fantastic waitress she make sure your needs are met but she's not interrupting your conversations. If you ask Hannah do you think I could have.... she will go back behind the curtain and see if Oz has that available and there it is and wink of an eye on the table. if you like broasted chicken this is the place for you there's more than enough food on your plate and it's the perfect blend of crispy yet it doesn't cut the roof of your mouth. The potato pancakes are served with everybody's Heritage in mine there's toppings of maple syrup or applesauce. But what is so lovely about them is that it has a texture of crispy and soft plus there are real chives in them, not dried out from a jar. But everybody Raves about the fish I can't tell you about it other than my friends ate every last thing on their plate as I am allergic to fish and they paid attention to that and made sure that my food was not in any contact this is something that most restaurants will not do or pay attention to. So if your allergy-prone this is the place for you!! So take some time away from Kansas and spend a little time at the Emerald City.

Great place to have an event. The staff were great, friendly and very helpful. The owners are very nice and easy to work with. The space was the perfect size for my event and after adding decorations, it was fabulous. The catering/food was great and the buffet was set up nicely. I had a French themed anniversary party and was pleasantly surprised at the extra touches the owners added to the deserts to go along with the French theme. Loved it. Would definitely recommend Emerald for any event.

Was in a wedding here on March 27th and I would recommend this place as a venue for a gathering. The owners are awesome people. My girlfriend won a wedding at this establishment and we were completely doted on!! They made sure that everything was perfect for the special day!! Thank you again for everything!! I'm so glad I chose Emerald City Catering for my wedding. They were very affordable and their food was delicious! People were raving about the appetizers! I requested that their employees wear masks and they happily agreed. Oz and Laurie were very easy to work with. I highly recommend them!

The staff and food were perfect. We rented a room for a meal after my dad's funeral. Everything was ready for us when we arrived and the food was delicious. The tables were cleared quickly and the food bins were kept full. They even provided take home containers for the leftovers. So thankful we found Emerald City for our event!

Booked this location for a celebration of life gathering to honor my father who had recently passed away. We chose this location based mostly on its location and the positive reviews left by previous customers as we live a bit out of town so were unable to visit the venue before selecting it. The owner, Laurie, was extremely accommodating in answering all of our questions over the phone before we ultimately finalized our selection to use their reception area. On the day of the event, they allowed us to arrive early to set up some memorial tributes to my father on the banquet tables as well as set up a separate "memorial table" for us to use for photos and various trinkets. The banquet hall very tastefully decorated and up-to-date, which helped created a great environment with which to host our guests. Laurie was so attentive and helpful throughout the day it allowed us to concentrate solely on mingling with our guests. Her and her staff did an amazing job in keeping the appetizer buffet we had well stocked and the food itself was outstanding. I don't think I heard one negative comment about the food throughout the day! They even allowed us to bring in a cake to mark the occasion and helped cut it when the time came for dessert. I'm sure I've missed a few things because the day went by very quickly, but for a somewhat solemn occasion, we were able to have a great day with family and friends because of how great the venue and staff were so thank you, thank you, thank you!

I was here for a funeral for my husband's aunt. It was buffet-style & the food was good & plentiful. I think it would have been even better if it was still hot by the time I sat down. (Not to fault of their own as much as the wait for others in the buffet line.) The coffee & macarons were excellent, & a nice touch for a sweet dessert.

Emerald City Catering blew us away. Not only was the food delicious, it was fairly priced. The owners are SO responsive and wonderful to work with. They helped us create a package that worked for our smaller budget. They also have options to cater all your other wedding related events (and host them too!). The food we chose was delicious and we loved having a plated service. We never could have never afforded catering from other big name vendors in the MKE area and are so thankful we found Emerald City 🙏🏻 100% reach out to them and go in for a tasting! The establishment has fantastic food, and I was incredibly satisfied with their customer service and the taste of the food. My friend and I went here on a whim, and the burger I got was delicious. Additionally, the cheese curds we got (labeled cheddar nuggets) were lovely and not greasy. I felt content and incredibly satisfied after my experience here. Literally, my only complaint is that I wish the beef party on the burger was a bit bigger. But that's not even a big deal because everything was so incredibly tasty.

Oz and his team at Emerald City Catering did our wedding and everything from start-to-finish was perfect. Oz hosted a menu tasting based on what our vision was and we put EVERYTHING he made us on our menu. You could tell Oz takes great pride in his recipes because they were delicious! He took my vision for our very unique wedding (GAME OF THRONES themed) to the next level. Everyone RAVED about our dinner, and it was very moderately priced for all of the services included. Oz was so kind throughout the entire planning and went above and beyond to help me with linens since everything I was doing was DIY. Definitely check Emerald City out for special occasions; you WONT be disappointed!

Great food as always. The Friday night all you can eat fish fry is the showcase. Baked and fried cod, chicken, fries, baked beans, potato pancakes, coleslaw, applesauce all served family style for just $14.95 per person. Oz has perfected his craft over the years and you will not be disappointed.

Emerald City catered our wedding, and in my opinion you won't find better food, a better price, or better people. Oz was fantastic throughout our planning process and especially on the day itself. Hands-down the most responsive caterer out there; every time I'd send him a message he responded in no time, often within the hour. He also coordinated our chair rental and was just genuinely helpful through every possible stage. He made everything so much easier and took so much off of our shoulders that it made our wedding day much less stressful than it would have otherwise been. The only complaint I have is that I was looking forward to sampling other caterers before we made our decision. His food is SOOOOOO good that we stopped searching after our first tasting with him. The maple-walnut chicken...seriously, trust me.

We have gotten food from Emerald City more times than I can count over the last few years. The service is always friendly and the food is consistently delicious. The ham on Sunday is very high quality and the rolls are freshly baked. Insider tip, try a chicken tender dipped in Oz's original BBQ sauce on a fresh baked roll next Sunday, yum!!

Nice little place. Easy to find the building, but difficult to find parking, especially if you go there with a group. Staff was nice and courteous during our event. Bathrooms are small and the ones in the back hall room were half demolished when I was there. In my opinion, It was a good place to try, but not one that I'd go rushing back to if I had the option.

They are mainly a catering business but have an all-you-can-eat Friday fish fry that is AWESOME! Great friend or baked fish, fries, potato pancakes, even friend chicken! And all the sides, too! A full bar makes it the complete Friday night party experience!

I have used Oz three times for my annual event at home. His slogan is "you dream it we make it happen". This is completely true. I'm from Maryland originally and Oz has hosted a MD Crab Feast for me along with his amazing BBQ. The guests love it, and the food always goes fast (especially his ribs). I highly recommend if you're looking for someone to cater your event that you pick Oz. He has a great personality, and his onsite attention to detail is always appreciated. You won't go wrong.

Unless it's deep fried... don't order it. The buggers are the same gray cafeteria hamburger from grade school with some extras (mine was cold as ever). I've had better berger from burger King for the same price. The fish isn't bad though... like I said, stick to the deep fried foods.
