Reviews of Jackson Market and Deli
Katie Dellegrotti
Calling all Culver City locals and little gem seekers. This market and deli is so so special.
The outdoor seating area is idyllic to say the least >> there is a back private patio you don’t want to miss with water features, plants, little bistro tables and cute decor. And the deli selection is great as well - choose from sandwiches, wraps, rice bowls, and deli sides in the fridge. Pick yourself up some wine, beer, kombucha or select from a variety of yummy beverages.
They have the best chip selection as well, including the ever illusion Voodoo chips only found in Louisiana.
It’s bustling in this little market and there are many random specialty foods to choose from as well.
But the outdoor dining experience is where it’s at. Plan a lazy Sunday lunch at this great place, sit back, relax, and enjoy.
Quick notes on how the ordering works - select your choice on the paper menus with the pens provided. Place your order in the wooden slots toward the far right side of the counter. Proceed to shop for what else you might want, wait for your name to be called, check in on Yelp, and use your 10% off on your order of $20 or more! Finally ENJOY and tip the staff because they are hustling to make you a great meal.

Very cute hidden spot in between a residential area. There is seating in the front of the shop. You walk in to a little deli order your food (via a piece of paper you fill in)and head out the back door to the most tranquil place to grab a quick bite. You have two waterfalls(making it sound so peaceful that you don’t want to leave) one of the waterfalls have coy fish and a turtle. There is lots of shaded seating, a swinging char that easily fits two and plants every where. Showed up on a Tuesday at 11:50 wasn’t too crowded got Melanzane sandwich by 12:15. The bread was good but nothing to it and barley had any eggplant in it. Leaving by 12:30 it had gotten way more crowded inside. Will definitely come back for a coffee or something just to be able to sit in there.

wow very surprised about this little cute bodega/ market / cafe ! i forgot to take pics of the back area but it’s big and has like a pizza area and falafel area and tables and just a overall cute vibe. was very surprised. The bodega has a deli and a bunch of of snacks and cold fresh food ready to go. The area is beautiful and the streets are unique to Culver because there a a mix! and next door is a cute park that the owner build with a mini lake! super cute. Overall if your in the area this is a local stop worth getting. and a cute date spot even . enjoy

Good little Italian neighborhood deli. Selection of made-to-order sandwiches, wraps and salads. All priced from 12 to 14 dollars. Great quality.
Best part is they have an awesome back patio with fountains, ponds and waterfalls that is shaded with lots of trees and flowers. Pretty chill set up.
Fernando Herrera
Parking can be difficult but it is worth the effort. I ordered the chicken chipotle sandwich on a sourdough role. The bread was toasted perfectly and all of the ingredients were fresh. The backyard patio is like a hidden oasis. This is a good place to take family or friends to hang out.
Carole Sentucq
Very nice place for good vegetarian sandwiches. Lots of options. Outdoor patio feels like heaven. Only down point: the lines for paying and ordering, both long and you don't know where to go and stand.
M. Ross Klun
Loved this place. A little oasis in Culver City. Phenomenal sandwiches, fresh cookies, and other deli items. Ordering sandwiches is a bit challenging the first time (you fill out a paper card with your exact order and leave it in a tray). You can choose from their variety of named sandwiches, wraps, and subs or customize your own creations. They get really busy so be aware. Street parking can be a difficult. Best seating is out back in the courtyard. There's a Koi fish pond, with a waterfall and turtles.

Italian sub was decent, $15 was definitely pricey for what it was and how big it was. Deli vibes are nice. I’d rather go to jersey mikes on venice for more food, better taste, and cheaper. (Both places slice the meat fresh for you)
William Leonard
What can I say that everyone else hasn’t already? They have old skool Dr. Pepper! Sooo good. The chicken salad is great, so are the cookies. I want to come back and try breakfast
Aaron Petersen
My sister introduced me to Jackson's and what a find. I've stayed there a few times and enjoyed the courtyard dining and food on offer. My go-to place whenever I'm in LA. The room quality and accommodation is fantastic.
Evangelos Lithoxopoulos
Great hidden gem. Love the snack options inside, there's every chip and drink you can think of. I ordered the Italian for me and my friends. It tasted great and loved every bite. Just disappointed with the portion. Sandwhich costs $16.75 online and it had paper thin slices of deli meat that was barely filling the sandwhich. Looked like a panini because of how thin it is. If you charge that much it should be filled. Or lessen the price.
Vashti Searcie
Very nice selection of goods with vegan & gluten-free options. Pricing a bit steep but good quality, so it’s about what it costs. Still very happy to have a place to grab a bite. And the back seating area is just gorgeous.
Maryam Tahmasebi
We went there for lunch and fortunately it wasn't packed. Parking is hard. The deli is very cute and has a good vibe but beside that, not much to offer. Forget the market part of it altogether: it is not good! The sandwiches were nice and the people working there really nice. It is a staple in Culver city and a local gem but go there just for a sandwich and nothing else.
jonathanjliuis
Just a wonderful place that cannot be overstated. Fresh everything and offers dry goods as well.

What a great spot ! So many yummy things too choose from. We ordered the French toast which was perfectly cooked with a fresh baguette 🥖. We also had a bacon, egg& cheese Sandwich on a baguette also delicious !!! They gave us 2 complimentary fresh squeezed orange juices and it was delicious! Nice place to sit out side under the umbrella or take your order to go. Looking forward to eating a lunch sandwich tomorrow!! Thank you for a great experience and great breakfast ! 🍳

Feels like a hidden gem. Phenomenal and quality sandwiches. Very wide variety of snacks and drinks. Love the patio too.
Julie Ray
Hidden gem in Culver City! An unassuming storefront leads into a charming and spacious outdoor area. Lots of market items and made to order options.
J. Reese Hopper
I went here with my roomie and had the salmon scramble. Delicious. Great backyard vibes with a bubbling fountain.
I appreciated the selection of snacks they had and the kindness of the staff to let us sit in the back.
More places like this would be great!
Alison Luther
My only complaint would be that the ordering process is excessively confusing. My Jackson Wrap was perfectly executed, crispy and delicious.
Mike MacAdam
Cool little market hidden away on a residential street in between a couple of houses. Went for breakfast and the food was ok. We tried the bacon cheddar pancakes and they tasted exactly how you’d expect, nothing fancy or revolutionary.
They have some cool items for sale as well in the market section. I’ll probably return for lunch next!
JC Cantrell
Sándwiches were great. The little garden in the back made the experience even better.
Recommended.
Allison Fekrat
Love Jackson’s market! Sandwiches are always fresh and great. Happened to pick up this great soda Vive! Taste great only 40 cal and has a lot of healthy ingredients.
Elissa Title
This is a true neighborhood gem. I've lived in LA since 1995 and only just discovered this place when I moved to Culver City. The food is delicious. You literally can't go wrong with anything you order. And, the staff are very friendly. I highly recommend it!
Judith Cruz
The deli food is delicious. Have to love the convenience of little market as well.
J Singh
This hidden gem has amazing backyard patio. So serene to have your sandwich and drinks. It was meditational and delicious lunch.
gerry furth
The little "neighborhood market" is every bit as sophisticated and urban Manhattan an experience, here in the very middle of a leafy, residential house area with street parking. The "hidden" garden out back is spiffy and perfect, complete with a little wall waterfall and maintained..
High end bottled sun dried tomatoes, artichokes, condiments etc. plus an astonishing number of choices for pricy bottled drinks and also wines. At the to-go counter for salads, sandwiches, panani's, customers marking off their choices on a card. It took 35 minutes (one customer ahead of us with a single sandwich) to get our sandwich and salad - with the order wrong. The food is average supermarket deli fare (Boar's Head). We would only go back for the garden and try breakfast.
Ernest M
Interesting spot in the middle of a neighborhood.
Order food: you get apiece of paper with salad or sandwiches. You make your choices. DONT FORGET TO WRITE YOUR NAME. Place it in the tray. They call your name accordingly.
Dining: there’s outside street patio. Then there’s backyard patio. They have a pizza spot that just opened from 4pm-7pm.
Food: just go their Italian sub. Super yummy.
Parking: street parking in a very tight neighborhood. Good luck.
Highly recommend !

Wow! What an awesome place! Great food and a wonderful market and outdoor patio
elizabeth smith
I live in Culver City and have wanted to go to Jackson Market and Deli forever. I finally had the opportunity today. Although my sandwich was tasty (ordered in advance for pick up) they neglected to make it a paninni as requested and neglected the Thousand Island on the side. It was Saturday and really crowded and the system for pick up was very unclear and convoluted. I will give it another chance, but am a bit disappointed due to the high cost for a sandwich
Leah Manoff
Hidden gem. Great little escape. Great selection of salads and sandwiches.
Jim Reisman
There are many things that I like about Jackson Market. When you eat there they have one of the most beautiful settings for having your meal I’ve ever experienced. It is a garden setting with a hodgepodge of tables and chairs and benches, all very rustic. Mostly they have sandwiches and salads and everything I’ve had at Jackson’s has been good. I have never liked the ordering process as I find it chaotic and I feel rushed to place my water. On this visit I went to their website and placed my order online and paid in advance. It was a much better experience. The only thing I miss is the chance to be in the market and see if some thing strikes my fancy upon looking at it. Please don’t take my four star review as an indication it’s not a wonderful place. I like it a lot! Is it my favorite? Read some of my other reviews.

The staff are very friendly. I highly recommend it!
Arantxa Abraham
Great Japanese drink selection of teas and coffees. The backyard area is great with a small pond that has fish in it. Sandwiches are great. French Baguette is a must here
Helman Gomez
My favorite drinks here. So happy..Great Copra Coconut water,Minor Figures Oatmilk and Amerscauno eggs which are amazing. They now have pizza and singles night on Thursday which is great
Axel Alejo
My favorite pizza and beer place. They have all my favorite beers here and specialty imported European chocolates I love
Brian Won
I see why people love it, but they never blown me away. They're generally solid for sandwiches, and the salads are very classic Deli salads.
Flahkoh
The sandwiches are good, but they’ve upped the prices to not good enough for the price. $16.75 for an Italian sub that feels light on meat, on bread that has a 50/50 chance to be fresh. With tax I can’t justify an almost $20 sandwich. I realize inflation is bad but…honestly not worth it anymore.
RaphaLev
This is an incredible deli tucked away in a residential neighborhood in Culver City. I'm sure that this used to be someone's home.
They've got incredible sandwiches, salads and desserts.
The ambiance is literally 2nd to none.
The patio in the back is unbelievable.
The staff are incredible and treat people as if they've known them for ever. THIS IS A MUST TRY for everyone.
Hieu Luong
Great tasty sandwich for lunch with a great patio!
Randi Sedmak
I LOVE this place. I want to give it 5 stars. The food is great.. sides are delish.. you can carry out.. get a sandwich or dine in and get great food… the spot is beautiful.. patio is fantastic. I could go on.
The only reason for my lower stars is that the check out process is an absolute mess. We still go frequently because the sandwiches are so good despite this fact…
There’s no clear line, there no separate designation for pick ups that have already paid.. you have to wait in the whole line and it’s hard to get anyones attention bc they’re so busy, no one knows who’s next or which register to go to… and the people running the checkout are unhelpful and unfriendly. It’s really a shame. If they could fix the check out process, it would be perfect.
Shün Kanazawa
This is an hidden amazing place.
Its located in where houses are and the entrance is a market. You can get greta coffee and foods, sweets then you can sit in their beautiful backyard or the front street. But I do recommend the back yard. It’s like a very beautiful and also comfortable European garden with a lot of flowers, greens, and water, and Koi fish.
Jack Galanty
Great "hidden" market and deli with a great garden seating area in back!
The freshly made pizza is amazing!
Emely H Monterey
The place is awesome!!! Love the fact it's in a residential area, very quaint & the italian sandwich is delicious!!!
TS Owen
A small neighborhood market in the heart of Culver City with character, friendly service, deli fare from Boar's Head and tables on the sidewalk and hidden in the rear garden area. Delightful.
Ismael Perez
This location is really nice. The patio is beautiful and very tranquil. My only complaint is that the coffee wasn't great; the espresso tasted slightly burnt and my friend's iced coffee was almost flavorless. The sandwich was great and I love their selection of snacks and drinks.
BRETT MANGIARELLI
So unhappy with the new policy of not serving anyone at the drive through at 5:30 a.m.
Delivery only !???
I start working at 6 a.m.
This new policy SUCKS and has made it impossible for me to bring del taco food to my crew
Christina N
One of the best kept secrets in Culver City. It’s a little market tucked away in a neighborhood. Parking is usually tough. There’s no lot. You just have to try your luck at grabbing street parking.
The sandwiches are unbelievably delicious. They have quite a selection of house sandwiches but they also have a card that you fill out to make it personalized.
Great prepared foods like potato salad and other salads.
Hugh non-alcoholic drink selection—from coffees, teas, and kombucha.
It’s also a little market with specialty items like crackers and cheeses.
A little pricey but it’s worth it.
R. Sean Griffith
Beautiful deli, awesome environment. You can eat in the back with a gorgeous natural retreat atmosphere, or take out. Lots to choose from. Minimal street parking. Very friendly behind the counter. Support your local small business. I enjoy the jerk sandwich.
Delaney Kentzell
Great sandwiches, lovely staff, and all the other goodies you may need or want in stock.
Miguel Alejandro Padron
This Market has it all! Fresh deli, with all of the best and healthiest ingredients and every beverage imaginable. They just opened a Wood Fired Pizza Oven so that's gotta be delicious.
Henry nowakowski
Rarely do I give 5 stars but this past Sunday the crew at Jackson were over the top excellent. Place was very busy, but they got our food out hot and perfect. Highly recommend this Culver City gem.
Nfn Kalyan
stayed near here in an air bnb and this market is amazing. the food and deli are great. btw they sell the best blueberries i have ever had in my life.
sevran vanderswagg
Have you ever wanted a sandwich, and then decide you needed basic grocery items as well as delightful European candies and treats? Yes? WELCOME TO JACKSON DELI THEN, HOME OF FANTASTIC SANDWICHES, BASIC GROCERY ITEMS AND FANCY TREATS!
Stephanie Kushner
Excellent place for lunch. Everything is fresh and the sandwich combinations are unusual and very good. Unless I just missed it, it would be helpful if they posted the ingredients that are in their prepared dishes. This information is on their website, but it would be helpful if they were listed in the store.
I'd also like to suggest they lower the volume of the music. I love the music they play, but it makes it difficult to hear the staff (and, in turn, for the staff to hear the customers).
Emily Finch
Food is delicious. You can't go wrong, no matter what you order. However, they never seem to handle rush hour well. There doesn't seem to be a system in place for handling walk in orders in a timely fashion when there's a large crowd. I went for lunch recently & people who placed their orders after me got their food before me, & they don't seem to keep track of who has paid for their order & who hasn't. Food is awesome tho & so is the ambiance in the back patio. I will be back but I'll avoid rush hour times.
Humberto V
This is a hidden gem!!! In between houses with a beautiful back patio complete with a water fall, goldfish pond, so peaceful
Must go and try the deli sandwiches, wraps or salads, grab a beer or a glass off wine, head to the back and enjoy!!!
Georges Chamchoum
It took me 30 years to discover this little Gem in the heart of Los Angeles (Culver City).
Quiet, peaceful, beautiful...
Their Team rock Maya, Nick, Andres and all caring, friendly, professional... and Tony the owner is just amazing.
Food is good, order anything, you can't go wrong. One of the best Cappuccino in town.
You loose me, you will find me😉
You do not want to miss the.... experience💟
Stefanie Potgieter
Love the new outside space! The sandwiches were so amazing when I was young but it's not the same quality anymore unfortunately. Such a shame because in high school i was obsessed with their sandwiches! The women that works in the front and checked me out was not friendly at all.
Rama Mirchandani
We went there today, which is a Sunday. It was a bit crowded, we sat at their backyard space, very nice ambience.
However I must say the service as you enter was pretty bad, the guys who took the order didnt quite follow what we were ssying, had to repeat again n again to make sure they got it right. All of them were grumpy not welcoming at all.
So its a no, no for us in future. We drove all the way from Studio City to Culver city, definitely not worth it.
The sandwich was not bad.
Drew Chura
Great place! Really nice back patio area and great food options. Got the breakfast burrito and it was really good.
Julie Cornejo
Delicious fresh made to order sandwiches and salads. I did see people eating breakfast and it looked really good. but I didn't see any menu for it in the store or with the ordering process. When you go in you fill out a paper with your name and order. Then you wait for them to call your name. This location has a beautiful outdoor patio in the back. I ordered a turkey sandwhich on baguette to split with my hubby. It's big enough to share so are the salads. All sandwiches are made to order or you can select one of the combinations they reccomend. Boars head meats and cheese and fresh veggies. So so good!
Shalom Nieva
Great local sandwich shop. In my opinion, way better than much higher profile places like Bay a Cities. The Italian sub is one of my favorite sandwiches, and is one of the best I’ve ever had. Plenty of other options that I’ve yet to try but look great. Great service that’s always been super friendly and welcoming. Really just a gem of a spot that I hope sticks around for a long time.
Paul Crane
Love Jackson Market. Even with a line, it's typically pretty quick. Order at the back by filling out an order card, and in 8-10 minutes your order is ready. The market has various beverages, including an array of CBD beverages (which aren't my thing, but I noticed a lot of them). Get the Chipotle Wrap, it's really good.
Tanya Terrell
Great little gem! Perfect bistro gourmet sandwich and salads with everything and a garden out back to eat with grapevines all over it! I took a video but it won't upload, but I wish u could see how perfect it is! They even have wood grill pizza! I took a video but to bad can't post them!
Kevin Fraggi (Fraj)
Dope spot! Been open since 1925 so I definitely have been sleeping on this one. And it's unfortunate too, because the food is pretty amazing. Fresh and quick. Pretty healthy options as well; including gluten free options and such. Definitely will be going back to try some other goodies!
John Beck
INCREDIBLY tasty breakfast and lunch options! It's the unofficial city hall of Culver City, everyone comes here. They also have some newly renovated epic airbnbs, with access to their tranquil courtyard. Really great place to stay in LA!
a mueller
If you are a blueberry pancake fan...run don't walk lol! Delicious.
Max Levy
Delicious sandwiches. Portion size a little small but not different than anywhere else in the area. Really enjoyed the space and eating out front.
Brendan
This quaint neighborhood market is absolutely fantastic in just about every way. The breakfast sandwich was a decent portion size to share and the coffee was pretty good. If you live in an apartment and just need that backyard feel, they have a large area in the back. A nice spot to hangout with friends or just to be with a book. Parking can sometimes be challenging, but it's not impossible. Walkable to downtown Culver if you're on to watch a movie or visit other places there.
Ben N
First time here and wow what a cool little market and deli! Super fresh and top choice ingredients in my sandwich and they have a lot of my favorite European candies!! Staff very friendly and great customer service. Definitely recommend! I look forward to my next time here!
Nosavo
I love the sandwiches there. Genuinely amazing for the price.
Sofia Antonella Cena
Just found this small hole in the wall! Its absolutely delicious, our favorites are the chicken salad sandwich and the Melanzane. Giving this place 3 stars in regards to their lack of customer service based off of 3 different visits. I like to give businesses the benefit of the doubt, but every time I stepped foot inside no one greets customers warmly or tells them where to order. The first time we were completely ignored and had no idea how to idea since its not exactly clear you have to drop off your order by the kitchen and then pay. Three different cashiers including the owner weren’t very friendly. Such a shame as they are located next to many homes and an awesome community, you’d think customer service was a priority to build rapport among all their clients. Will definitely keep coming back, but a real bummer the energy is off.
Darren Griffith
Great atmosphere, great food. The expanded patio area in the back is inviting and comfortable.
Alex Betancourt
Great local deli with a store front in the middle of a residential street over in Culver City. Love the sandwiches n wraps on the menu, as well as the option to customize your own. Seats in out or out to relax and enjoy your food n drink. The market has a variety of snacks for the health conscious or not. Same for the beverages, adult or not. Like coming here for the low key-ness of it all. Something about all that, makes the experience better.
Liam Duk-Stolting
AWESOME place with lots of friendly people and good food. Awesome sandwiches and best pizza in the world. Great place to bring friends and family for get-together and be sure to check out the patio in the back. I know all the staff and they are all very nice. I go here almost every day and it’s always a good experience.
Perry Price
Fun little enterprise, was a bit difficult to get checked/cashed out for a Saturday but the food is quality and the selection is great. Probably could use better ventilation as the kitchen is open and the smoke can be a bit thick in the store area. Fun, quality and selection. Thanks, four paws up.
Stefanie Ulrich
Jackson Market has been a staple in our community for years and it's wonderful to see how it keeps evolving and improving.
A great location to meet for lunch during your workday or on the weekend and enjoy their front or large back patio.
Extensive selection of sweet, savory and beverages. Pluse a great wine and beer selection. A must stop for picnic supplies. Expect to wait, especially for made to order deli items during peak hours.
Bimal Sandhu
I've been here quite a few times when my boyfriend lived in Culver City. I love sandwiches and this is one of the best places I've ever been to for one. My favorite is the Italian. They are big sandwiches and so incredibly delicious!
I love the whole market, they have tons of things to offer. One off, quality brands along with some brands that you know. They have a good beer selection and the gluten-free nutella cookies are really good!!! I miss this place so much.
Victoria Giordano
I always find something interesting to try here. Every sandwich I've gotten has been large and delicious. Pre-COVID, it was a wonderful place to sit outside in some shade with a book; I've never been able to connect to the wifi.
Matt
Finest place in Culver City. Hidden between residential houses. Has very nice patio to hand out. Panini caprese is the best here. Highly recommend.
Hanae K
My new favorite sandwich shop! So sad it's far away from where I live. Parking is residential.
I'm also bummed that the back patio is closed during the weekend. It seemed like a really nice place to read books / study.
I forgot what kind of boars head meat sandwich I ordered but they were amazing. If you like spicy food then I'd also recommend getting mango chili juice. It has a really great bite to it. Their brownies were too sweet for my sweet tooth.
Chris Liu (CL)
Best sandwiches around. Back patio is perfect, little waterfall action in back. Full range of eats and classic customized sandwiches
Yenny Du
Super cute place!! Been wanting to come here ever since my friends who also live in the are told me about it. Came here for lunch on a nice and sunny Saturday morning after running a few laps at Baldwin Hills Overlook. It's located in a residential area so its really cute and quiet.
FOOD:
- Salsalito wrap - yummy!! The flavor combo of the turkey, black beans, red onions and avocado was great! Super refreshing and delicious on that sun dried tomato tortilla!
- Italian sub - this was also very yummy, the combo of deli meats and cheeses were very very good. I just wish the baguette bread was easier to bite through (maybe if they had toasted it)
- carrot cake - I liked the cake itself, but the frosting was sooooo sweet! Didn't taste like cream cheese at all :)
SERVICE:
Friendly! You order off this little paper and drop it off. We wandered around until our sandwiches were ready and then we paid.
VENUE/PARKING:
It is a market so they sell everything from deli meats and cheeses, ice cream, alcohol, chips and snacks, and all sorts of beverages. There's a really cute front patio, a couple of small tables inside and a GREAT back patio area!! Plenty of tables in the back, although it can be a little dusty and the trees may drop things into your food, but very cute and relaxing :)
Parking was easy enough in the neighborhood, 2 hours max.
Dawn Martin
This place has fantastic sandwiches and salads. I love that it looks like a little house in a residential area too.
If I can give one two words of advice though they are - order online!!
This place gets packed during peak hours and they don't seem to have air conditioning either. So, if you get stuck here on a hot day, after walking, it can be brutal waiting.
Be sure to save some time to look around at all their other fun goods too like the chips and boxed goods.
Zuki
This place is a gem! Tucked into a little residential area, Jackson's is great deli with a huge back patio area. The Italian sub is my go to. If you want to support a delicious, local deli. Go here.
Anthony Dabiere
Truly a Culver City institution but for some, it’s still a hidden gem. Located a stones throw from Sony Studios this is the place to meet and greet and nosh in a peaceful almost tranquil surrounding, all created by its owner Tony...and what he has done in the “backyard”, is nothing short of phenomenal! The food is top shelf with ingredients from around the world-nothing but the best, for an experience that is second to none. Culver City,Venice Beach,Santa Monica, or any west side destination, it would be hard to beat Jackson Market! Try it you will like it!
Mitchell Wapner
This hidden gem is tranquil, beautiful and serves amazing sandwiches and salads.
It gets super busy around noon, so try and get there by 11:45 if you want to enjoy some quiet and not be bumbarded by the studio crowd.
Staff is friendly , quick to get you order and always ready to give you a sample of one of their fresh homemade foods.
LongTrippySchlong
Lovely market an awesome deli food. Breakfast was amazing, especially the blueberry pancakes! Wide variety of food and snacks.
Only downfall was that they allow people to bring their dogs in the market. Considering people eat in the market and there is active cooking going on in the market, I dont want pets around my food. Clean or not it's a simple matter of respect.
Lisa Lanata
Loved! Such an inviting atmosphere. You have to go thru the building to the back where all the cozy tables, fire features, and koi pond are. Just a nice relaxing place. Great customer service and oh yes... food too! Go hungry. Sandwiches are huge!
Miss Queena
Hefty sandwiches, and excellent sourdough baguettes. The outside is very crispy and firm, fresh and easy taste of the dough on your tongue. If you can grab a seat on the lush green patio, your afternoon is perfect.
For lunch they have a wide selection of sandwiches. Tight parking on a narrow neighborhood street, and expect to wait about 5-15 minutes to order and get your sandwich to go.
Juliana Richter
I have been visiting this little shop for 20 years and so much has changed! The appearance is lovely as ever, only I find it's too crowded now. It's gotten pretty expensive too, as I remember sandwiches used to cost $6 and now it's closer to $12. I do like what they've done with the patio and I can't wait to see it finished.
Bobby Hosseiny
A residential house that transformed half of it into a farm / market. Really cool place to come and grab lunch. They offer quite a selection of healthy packaged food as well as locally grown produce including freshly squeezed OJ. They also have a deli where you can build your own sandwich which tastes amazing. Quality is great and the price is around $10.
Dana England
if you're looking for an out of the way, lovely eatery in culver city, look no further! jackson market is nestled inside a quiet residential neighborhood in culver city, off of the main strip, and the inside is stocked with all sorts of goodies -- from delicious deli sandwiches, to fresh salads, to imported goodies, fresh produce, and a wall of cold drinks of all kinds. the staff here is so kind and helpful, too! the back patio, though, is probably the most special part of coming here...there are plenty of tables arranged around a beautifully-landscaped courtyard, with a koi pond, fountains, and tons of beautiful, healthy plants. i have only been once, but i plan to go back soon! jackson market is truly a gem!
Danielle Behar
The food is fresh and fantastic. The sevice is great, and if you have the time the back patio is like a oasis with fountains, comfortable seats, and lovely lighting (in the evening). A real gem.
Steve Bucklin
Jackson Market is a wonderful gem hidden in the heart of Culver. Great for supplies or a delicious meal. The staff is awesome and the back patio is amazing.
K D
So cute, love the back patio. Cute spot for a chill date night. Haven't been for the pizza on Saturday yet.
Robert Dickerson
I found this place by a random search while out driving for work.
I'm glad I did.
The food (sandwich, wrap, salad) selection is amazing. My sandwich was delicious. The soda/juice selection is great. Everything edible is just yum and vast selections of it.
Only two downsides: it was crazy busy. So packed and busy that we waited 20 minutes for a salad and two sandwiches. Worth the wait taste wise but it's a small place and it was uncomfortably crowded.
Second downside was the guy who checked us out. No hi, no did your find everything okay, just scan scan bye. I asked for s bag no reply, I paid and asked for a bag and then he answers .10. No biggie but I did ask. Maybe we was having a bad day but he looked and acted completely miserable.
I'll go back maybe not just on a workday. Maybe a weakened park excursion.
Trevor Kowalski
The best casual neighborhood spot in Culver. The strongest aspect is the patio and koi pond out back, and the sandwiches are excellent. This place is a hidden, low-key gem, tucked into a quiet residential street.
David Trovato
This local spot is a monument in Culver City. We've been ordering sandwiches and salads here for years, the salads are huge, fresh and excellent. And as someone who doesn't do deli meat, i can highly recommend thier design tour own veggie sanwiches ... i mean who else offers black beans and dried cranberries for options. Hot tip, try the Rustic Roll. AND don't forget about breakfast, while the crepes aren't exactly Parisian, they really good, a bit of a thicker crepe and a bit sweeter like a pancake. AND, yeah it is also a small market with beer, wine, normal house staples and a small random assortment of Veg. ENJOY this local gem.
Bill Elander
This is a cool little place tucked away in a residential neighborhood in the palms area of Los Angeles. It is a deli plus it has a lot of other gourmet items as well. My daughter got a turkey sub that was out of this world. If you're looking for a great sandwiches, this is the place.
Eli Horn
I would give 3 stars but the novelty earns a star. The market is nestled in the middle of an entirely residential block, making it a lot more interesting to go to. If it weren't for the location, the overpriced sandwiches and the limited selection of other food items do not make it a stand out market. I'd say check it out if you've never been and decide for yourself.
Casey Robinson
Great sandwiches. Neighborhood deli. You can't go wrong here. Fresh picnic salad and drink options. Salads also available. Serves beer and lots of bottled coffee options. Small selection of Italian import items. I will be coming back here for years.
Jason Medina
Great $10 custom deli salad or sandwich place inside local market. Limited seating during peak hours with patio out back. Expect a wait since things are made to order. Just follow the signs when ordering, complete the card then place it near the deli case.
Andy Morita
Great place for salads, sandwiches, wraps or forgotten milk/beer. The wraps are great here. They have a large selection of artisan drinks. A wall of candy. Some necessity groceries like milk, beer, bread, sandwhich meat etc. Just a cool little local market that's throwback to yesteryear. They bought and run the locally famous green store in Hermosa beach too.
Sandra Barba
What a great hidden gem. You can relax & enjoy your food. Invite your friends to meet here. It’s very Zen.
Sheronda Lewis
I have only been to this market once before, but for a quick minute, but recently, went inside and, it is very nice. Sandwiches, hot soups, a great space in the back to sit and eat (with, if I'm not mistaken, a pond in the back). Very nice and serene. It's like a cool, zen like deli or bodega.
Colossus
Expensive, but it's worth it.
Dick Wolfe
Looks inviting but the place was busy and ordering of food is chaotic. Will go earlier next time and call our order in ahead of our arrival.
Joel Garcia
Love the sandwich here and to get my favorite drink +RED
Jeff Strand
Great quality and wide selection of ingredients, excellent sides, good fresh juices. Check out the serene patio in the back, wonderful place to sit down and enjoy what you ordered. Sometimes they have fresh cookies - wonderful!
Bob Santoyo
Love this place. Quiet neighborhood market that always hits the spot. I had the French Toast, and cold brew coffee
Trevor Conrad
Great local bodega hidden away in Culver! Really nice sandwiches, but can get busy during the lunch hour. Don't miss the backyard terrace, a great place to dine.
Christian Woodward
Really pretty good. Beautiful backyard in which to eat the counter made subs and salads. 4/5 because I wish they made their own bread and the meat could have been sliced at the time of the assembly and been a little fresher
Alex Melgosa
A hidden neighborhood gem of Culver City. Great selection of Italian goods. And the fresh chocolate chip cookies are cheaply priced and to die for.
Dana Carmel
Jackson Market is a cute neighborhood market/cafe in what used to be a residential home. This is a perfect neighborhood spot that neighboring residents can easily walk to. The sandwiches and wraps here are fresh and tasty, but the prices are a bit high. Overall, a great neighborhood find!
Jeff Willson
Awesome sandwiches, cute little shop. The breakfast is ok, i tried it once; I stick with the sandwiches. The deserts are great as well. They have a great sweet potato desert that I find myself craving!
Swanky Trout
Took a really long time to get served. Waiting for our sandwich got pretty frustrating. Some people got served before us, some orders were made in two batches. A "Sorry for the wait" would have been welcome. However it seems like a nice wee shop, and the sandwich was tasty when it arrived.
Justin Bumgardner
We had a very large group order for delivery and they took the time to take down every name. The order was perfect and packaged beautifully. Great service!!
Leonardo Hernández
Excellent service and food
Kerwin
High Quality! Everything is good and they have some sidewalk seating. It's in a residential area surrounded by houses. Breakfast Burrito... enough said.
They also carry many imported items in the market.
Lillian Sun
It's a market and deli, just like the name implies. Great spot to satisfy your sandwich, snack, drink, and light shopping needs. Also has the most serene and quaint outdoor patio for light chit chatting, resting, and eating your purchases goods.
Ben Guthrie
Great sandwiches and salads. Amazing outdoor eating space behind the shop. Management staff can seem a little short, but they mean well.
Leslee Ortega
Adorable oasis! We had the lunch and the patio was so lush and peaceful. The food was good too! Such a gem...
Eden Jeffries
An east coast deli market ran away to California and found itself settled on an inconspicuous neighborhood block in downtown Culver City. When my friend recommended this place to me, she made sure to mention that I should keep my eyes peeled for what may look like a house more so than a standard storefront cafe. And that's what made me love it before I even saw what they had to offer. It blends in amidst the other houses on the block, aside from the large Jackson Market sign and the outdoor tables in front. The deli inside offers custom sandwiches, gourmet/specialty grocery items, drinks, freshly baked pastries, and some alcohol. The bread is freshly baked and the deli meats and cheeses are high quality, with some hard to find selections like Jamaican Jerk turkey or chipotle gouda cheese. They also offer gluten free and millet bread options for the wheat-sensitive customer. The sweet potato gooey cake is a heavy hitter! Imagine delicious sweet potato pie baked in the center of what's like a cake/snickerdoodle cookie fusion. If you can get it while it's still warm, you're especially in for a treat. The cookies all look like perfection and I've been highly recommended the lemon bar. Prices may be on the higher side but if you can appreciate a handsome looking sandwich made with love and care, then it's worth it.
Larry Lam
Lots of confusion. But I'll be damned, delicious sandwiches. Jerk Chicken sandwich is my thing. Panini's aren't the best. Customising your sandwiches, salads can be really fun. Cute outdoor patio.
A small "market" located on a residential street, one of the stranger sights. Unless you've been before, you'll probably be thrown off by the unfamiliar ordering system: get a card, fill it out, drop it off, wait to be called to the register to pay. It's not the smoothest system and probably accounts for the major jams during lunch hour.
Huge selection of drinks. You can get your deli items here too (it's a market after all).
Nicole Harris
First timer at this quaint lil market. A hidden gem I never knew existed. I ordered a tuna salad sandwich. The food and service was great and I will definitely come back. 😋 …
Babak
Very pleasant place to chill and relax. Good sandwiches and pizza.
Kristin Stelljes
Friendly and fun. An urban oasis that is a wonderful place to catch fresh made to order meals, seven days a week!
Felipe Capusso
Delicious sandwiches and wraps. Awesome sit down area in the back- a patio with lots of green, live fish and cozy environment. Perfect break from the urban city environment.
Scott Kecken
The best sandwiches in Culver City. Can get crowded at times when the Sony crowd comes for lunch. Great garden setting for eating. Wood fired pizza on the weekends.
Alana Marie
Adorable market with a beautiful back patio. Ample drink options (kombucha, cane sugar sodas, cbd drinks) and we loved the sandwiches.
Andrew Gilkes
Breakfast sandwiches… so damn delicious!
Jaylen
Amazing food has everything thing I want definitely should come and try out⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Aaron Bitzer
I love this place. The sandwiches are delicious and the atmosphere is relaxing. One of the nicest patios to enjoy coffee or a meal with friends.
Frank Hernandez
The custom deli sandwiches are amazing! Also, the chocolate chip coffee cake is as good as it sounds.
Timo Ketola
Love this little deli and market which has nothing like it on the Westside. Situated right in a residential neighborhood with a great back patio for sitting and relaxing and eating. I always get a custom wrap but everything I have gotten is always good.
Karen Wang
A local's general store and deli nestled in the residential area on Jackson Ave., not far from Downtown CC.
There's some fresh produce, decadent snacks, chips and pretzels, bottled teas and coffees, dried pastas and sauces. But what do I really love about JM? The made-to-order sandwiches and wraps!
FOOD
* Kari, the wrap: curry tuna salad with hints of wasabi wrapped in a wheat tortilla with lettuce, tomato, red onions - so dang good! A little bit of spicy.
SEATING
JM is most popularly a takeout spot but if you'd like to sit and stay a bit, there's an outdoor patio at the back of the shop, open from 11am-4pm.
There are also sidewalk seats and 2 small tables indoors.
SERVICE
Really chill and nice people. I ordered a hot tea for 1.75$ + tax and received a refill for no extra charge (usually it's 50-cents for more hot water). Thanks, JM!
PARKING
Street parking is very doable in the area - perks of being tucked away in the residential setting. You'll see signs for 2-hour parking along Jackson St. or other cross streets.
J
Boar's Head deli meat, tasty baguettes. Also decent other breads. All the makings of a very satisfying sandwich. I also love that it has the local feel
Jordana Lorraine
I've heard of this place but never been. Like an urban legend haha! Heading to the Hollywood Bowl tonight so I picked up a sub, a wrap, and some chips. Andres was super friendly and helpful!!
Chris O'Connor
Nice deli style market and sandwich place in a lovely neighborhood. Staff are friendly. Food was great. Nice variety of more artisanal produce available.
April Butler
I just love this place, from the neighborhood market feel, to the awesome back patio - that many folks don't know about. Fresh food fast and a great selection of chill drinks(including beer) too choose from.
Tony Bowren
Sandwich was great. A bit crowded and confusion about where is the line, who is in line, who is next in line, etc. But it's an interesting little deli where you would never expect one to exist. Probably best to order online and pick up.
Mark Loyzer
Come here for the backyard outdoor space. Even has some sessions in the front. Vegetare 🥪 was good....the hummus was amazing
pierre gourdain
Culver’s finest, walk through the room and lo and behold, a wonderful garden, eat great sandwiches to the murmur of fountains.
Angeles Workshop
Our school Angeles Workshop School in West LA loves visiting Jackson Market when we walk to a nearby park. Our middle and high school students enjoy the great sandwiches. One of our students, Tlahkaelel, even helped paint the mural on the side of the wall!
Mike Crank
LIKED it...yep...past tense. See, I used to love this place for the most delicious deli sandwiches EVER! Then...the unthinkable happened. Their sanitation grade became a B! Nooooooooo! I called and asked why they got a B, and the gentleman on the phone said, "We had some deep cleaning to do." I am grossed out. It's sad because their sandwiches are next to none. I'll keep calling them until they tell me they once again have an A.
Julie A Cohn
This is one of the great Vegan/regular Boars Head neighborhood deli/markets in Culver City. The flow of traffic can be a crunch at times, on a nice day, however, it's a lovely little street just south of Sony Studios.
lori n
My sister and I had coffee & coffee cake,it was good, and the patio is cute. I'd like to take my husband there for breakfast.
M. L.
Good. I go a lot and we enjoy sitting in the back and chilling on the patio.

Prashant Bansal
Hello - Jackson Market is now carrying the MoNuI juice brand with collagen infused products. It is one of the most fresh and great tasting juice with a combination of spinach, apple and red kale.
ELIZABETH BELANGER
Will you wait? Yes, but the best things in life are worth waiting for. Like a giant, delicious, fresh-to-order sandwich enjoyed sitting under an umbrella on a sunny day while families meander by, birds chirp, and trees rustle.
ibexbox
Nice & relaxing are not words that are too often used to describe a market, but Jackson Market is more than that. You have to go there to get a bite to find out for yourself. Just look at the photo I took there!!
Doc Rockem (DocRockem)
I've been going here since I was 17. They've always been phenomenal and my sandwich perfectly. If there's a little wait it's worth it!

A magical place, a perfectly furnished patio, super pretty for eating. Good quality food, great pizzas. Reasonable rates. Also does delicatessen. The neighborhood is very pleasant and it is easy to park. I highly recommend.
