The food is amazing. Gator bites r delicious. Frog legs, delicious. My sister got catfish and said it was the best she ever had and she eats a lot of catfish. There seasoning is sooo good. We bought some to take home. The service was amazing too. The service was amazing too. She even gave us some wild hog for free that they were cooking out back. Best Cajun food I've ever had

I was confused driving up because of the food truck outside. But read the reviews and looked through photos and realized it is a sit down restaurant. The atmosphere is just like it says, a shack style with fold up tables and bench seating. It was cold outside and the type of building is open with plastic over the windows which helped the cold breeze from coming in. There was only 1 waitress and she was super nice and was tasked to wait on everyone by herself which she handled very nicely. There were about 5 tables with people inside and about 4 tables outside with people. Thank you very much to that waitress of today! The food...was absolutely delicious. I ordered the combo plate with catfish and shrimp and it was prepared perfect to my liking. The breading on the catfish was light and lightly flavored which I thought was perfect! The catfish did not taste wild and was tender and not at all rubbery (like what happens when its overcooked and sitting too long). The shrimp had just enough spice to not be too spicy and yet it was not flavorless. It had a little cajun flair to it, but subtle and I thought that was perfect! I also ordered the gumbeaux which I really liked. It was similar to a few restaurant gumbo dishes I've had before. All in all, I had a really good experience. I get cold easy, so I was little bothered by the semi-outdoor seating. Thank you guys for a great meal!

This place is absolutely amazing. It has a cajun vibe and the drinks are stellar. Southern fried food and barbecue at it's best. They have some banging crawfish when in season and their house made barbecue and sausage is as Texas as it gets. If you are driving down I10 in or out of Houston you need to give this place a try. It will be that little place you tell your friends about.

The service was amazing. Melinda, Beverly, Mike, Corbin and Jay always make us feel so welcomed and the food is always amazing. The Crawfish are so fast but momma Beverly deviled eggs are to die for. Literally heavenly. Thank you Good Ole Boys.

Just moved here from Louisiana in December. I'm pregnant and my cravings for crawfish are neverending. I was so excited when I found this place. 9.99 per lb is expensive but the flavor is amazing! I've tried one other crawfish place in the Houston/Katy area and this was the best ❤

I got the catfish and shrimp and wasn't too fond of the shrimp. I think the batter is made with some kind of hot sauce. It wasn't hot, it just had a twang to it. And the cocktail sauce wasn't what I was use to. My wife and our friends said that the crawfish were really good. That's why they get four stars.

Fantastic food with an eclectic Louisiana atmosphere. Jay and the staff treat you like family. I got the beignets (best I've had since NO) my husband got the skillet, and my dad got the gumbo eggs. The gumbo eggs, while not pretty, were amazing. Next time we go out with the family I'll get those and share the beignets with the table.

I am originally from Louisiana, I have been living here for over 15 years, this place transformed me all the way back to old Louisiana food. I mean the food before all the fancy casino food came. This is the food that I was raised on!! Now if you are looking for a 5 star exterior or interior this isn't the place for you. The crawfish is super expensive but worth the extra $$

Great service, kid friendly....fun atmosphere. Bosses were there and made us feel right at home. Caught us up on all the upcoming events....and basically hands down the BEST crawfish I have EVER HAD!!! It was seasoned just right, and sooooo tender. Huge crawfish with delicious potatoes and corn. If you haven't tried this place, you need to!!!

This is unquestionably one of the best Crawfish and Cajun restaurants in Houston!! His recipe for boiling crawfish is unique to Louisiana and it works right here in Katy as well. The staff is friendly and they go over the top to make sure your experience is a good one. No, it’s not fancy but it’s perfect for Crawfish and Cajun food...outdoor ice house atmosphere with a “come as you are” attitude! Keep up the great work Good Ole Boys and thanks for cooking and serving Crawfish that are the best in Houston and surrounding areas!!

I had a great experience at Good Ole Boys on Feb, 15th. Our waitress name was Nikki and she was very funny and had our order out right away. We always ask for her when we go to GOB, and its always the same way! I've never had a bad time there! Can't wait to go back!

A dive, but their catfish is great.jacked up price recently but you can still eat 50 pieces if you want .thats what I did.all you can eat 15.95. No free water. Straws are ok. Had some guitar player in there who needs some equipment.had a nice guitar but man does he need to go to Guitar World and get some pedals and a decent amp. Food is great, service is hit or miss, been going there a while. Try their buttermilk pie. You may go into a diabetic coma from the sugar but man, that is some top notch pie.

Great boiled shellfish, especially crawfish. Don't expect anything fancy as it's an outdoor restaurant that does have coolers and fans for when it gets hotter. When you want crawfish this is definitely the place to go in Katy!

This place is a no frills Cajun seafood establishment, from shrimp the size of your hand to boudin balls and gumbo poached eggs, there plenty of delicious options to choose from. Fantastic. Order a michelada while you wait on your food, enjoy!

Well I can assure you that the potato salad is made fresh from there. Also I would like to add that the person who hires the catering company tells them how much to serve to the guest so if you didn't like the portion size then you should take it up with the person who hired them. I have eaten from there many times and the food from there is great

Cajun cookin' at its finest. By finest of course means pea gravel floors, paper bowls and killer boudin balls. Crawfish are good in season and catfish is great on Fridays. Not for the hipsters kombucha sipping folks, too close to their food production for their protected little minds.

Food was okay but over priced for taste and serving quantity needs some seasoning help. And atmosphere not so great it's an outdoor eating area unless u like eating outside in the heat some hot fish and spicy foods and the service needs some improvement. Boudain balls and chicken sausage gumbo.

GOT SICK! BEWARE! Dined in Sat 4/13. Had seafood gumbo, boudain balls, and 2 pounds of crawfish. Gumbo was disappointing. Reux tasted like saltwater. Rice was served in it, not on the side. That is always a red flag. Did not see one oyster in it. I don't think they purged the crawfish. They were dirty and lacked flavor. That should have warned me. That night I got sick and they came out both ends.

Reminds me of Louisiana. You would be likely to pass it up on looks alone but that's the best place to go to if you want authentic crawfish. It's a little more tame than I'm accustomed to but they will spice it right if you ask.

Good red neck joint. The playground is too close to the parking lot. So you have to keep an eye on the little ones. Disappointed that they don't sell Abita beer or I would give 4 star.
