We had Great Caterers of Iowa cater our wedding supper on 5/27/2022 and we cannot say enough amazing things about this company. We received so many compliments from our guests regarding our incredible the food tasted, and we agree wholeheartedly. The vegetarian lasagna is DELICIOUS, for all of my fellow non-meat eaters! Joni and her staff were wonderful to work with from the start, and provided such friendly faces on the day-of. Thank you so much!

We had Great Caterers of Iowa for our wedding and from booking to the big day, they were AMAZING! We really wanted food stations to give our guests options. We had appetizers and four stations: Mexican, American, Spanish, and Asian. Joni was amazing at communicating throughout the process. They created our menu to fit within the budget we wanted. On our wedding day, we got SO many compliments of how amazing and unique the food was, as well as how professional and nice their staff was. We had the pleasure of working with Jimmie and Tonya. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

These are wonderful Caterers to work with!! We have utilized their service for several work functions, and I had a friend who used them for her wedding! They provide wonderful food, and their customer service is great! This is a company that focuses on providing their customers with the best experience they can. They even worked with us and did their best to change our deliver day (on SUPER short notice) with a winter storm coming in the original day of our event.

We used Great Caterers of Iowa for our August 2022 wedding and they were incredible! Joni and her team were so professional and kind. We were able to come by to do a couple tastings before choosing our menu which was so helpful! We received so many compliments on our food! Highly recommend Great Caterers of Iowa!

Joni is an amazing host! She has so much knowledge beyond her expertise in catering. I feel like I had a mini wedding planning session with her! Food 14/10! I'm amazed with the hospitality. I know the wedding will be amazing after chosing her!! Her company has amazing credentials, a huge array of food....don't even get me started on choices...they are plentiful and good luck choosing! 100% would reccomend Joni and her delightful team!! I will rest easy tonight after choosing Joni who feels like family already!! Follow up to come after the wedding!!

Communication with potential customers needs improvement. Tried 4x via email and phone to place an order, over the span of 18 days because I understand businesses get busy so tried to show some patience but after not getting a single response back i just gave up and found another caterer. Will give 3stars because I have heard good things from others about the food.

We used GCOI on our wedding on 9-17-22, and they did a phenomenal job! For background, our wedding was on our family farm with no access to a large, industrial kitchen. They were able to provide a high-end, upscale meal for our wedding vendors and guests despite building our venue from the ground up! Everyone raved about how delicious the food was. We had passed appetizers during our cocktail hour including custom charcuterie cones, honey and goat cheese lavash, swedish meatballs, and stuffed mushrooms (my absolute favorite)! For dinner, we chose the option of a split-plate so everyone was able to get both tri-tip + chicken! We had people say it was the best wedding food they have ever had. Additionally, Joni added on coffee for after dinner and infused fruit waters. The catering staff was top-notch, and they even gifted us a bottle of wine (made us tear up a little bit)! Great Caterers of Iowa does it right. My husband and I used them for our wedding, and I used them for a number of corporate events, and each time they knocked it out of the park with their AMAZING food and professional, efficient wait staff. You'd be making the right choice choosing them to cater your event!

We used Great Caterers of Iowa for a wedding as recommended by a co-worker. Due to COVID we were forced to downsize the original guest list and change from a venue to a family members acreage. Great Caterers of Iowa were willing to help us out in a pinch. They were not able to deliver the food and we did not need service but the food was ready for pick up at our requested time. The food was delicious and we had so many compliments. Very reasonably priced as well. I would highly recommend them and will definitely use there services for future needs.

We used Great Caterers Of Iowa for a grad party. Our expectations were exceeded in every way. The food (pulled pork, chicken, B&B Mac&Cheese and cookie dough) was absolutely delicious and the hit of the party. GCOI took the time to package and label each serving of dessert and everything was prepared and ready for an easy and seamless pick up. Everything was perfect, thank you! We highly recommend!

Joni and her team are AMAZING!! They recently catered my wedding for around 280 guests and the food was phenomenal! They also had to travel 2 hours during the craziness of covid! Cannot recommend them enough! She is so professional and you can tell she has such a great passion for what she does which shows up in her work. My guests are still raving about the food! My wife and I utilized Great Caterers Of Iowa back in November 2019 for our wedding, and we couldn't have been more pleased with the food! Everything was excellently prepared and tasted great, and they were even able to provide gluten free/vegetarian options for a few of our guests. The staff at the event were all pleasant and professional, and were able to answer any and all questions. They were able to cut our cake as well (not from them), and after the meal they even boxed everything up which was incredibly helpful. One slight issue we did have; communication difficulties. In setting up the initial meeting, as well as checking in the week of, mostly just us asking a bunch of questions at once and not receiving a few answers until later on. There was also a slight miscommunication in terms of the kids' meals; we assumed it would be a separate buffet (chicken fingers, mac & cheese, etc.) but it turned out it was just a discount on the overall price for the number of kids. Not a big deal as everything worked out excellently and we received answers to all questions (and the kids ate just fine!), but thought I'd add. Overall, we would definitely recommend using Great Caterers of Iowa. For the price and the quality food, it is hard to beat. (Try the boursin stuffed mushrooms, they're amazing!)
