We met family there this morning and we all loved it. They are from Mississippi and they loved the restaurant, downtown area and Freak Alley.,They eat vegetarian and both found good things to order. . My husband and I had sandwiches, both so good. One the lady at the back was super busy bagging orders but she stopped to take our picture.

Super disappointed. The food is good but I didn't get any of the pickle spears and my soup was barely over half full. I left a generous tip and its hard when you're order is far from correct.

Came here for lunch and we really liked it. I had the chicken pesto and my wife had the French dip. Both of these sandwiches were fantastic!! It’s a fun atmosphere in downtown, would definitely recommend it!

This is my go to sandwich place in Boise. I really like the Sprang Chicken and Do Gouda. The Sprang Chicken is really light and filling and the Do Gouda is really savory and mildly sweet. I always order online and have never had to wait for my order. The inside is very open and has cool art all around

I have had the Reuben, the pulled pork BBQ, and the beef dipped sandwich. All are quite good. I would ask to have no relish on the dip sandwich next time, a custom touch that wasn't necessary. I particularly enjoyed the chicken tortilla soup as a side. It was spicy, which I liked.

Their breakfast burrito is probably my favorite food in Boise. On the app it seems like 10% of reviews mention this amazing product. Unfortunately, they open at 9am (so grabbing one before work is impossible) and, in the last two weeks, they STOPPED SERVING THEM AT 1030. You have a 90 minute window to get one. I don't understand why this business stops me from paying them cash at 8am or 11am. Good luck, owner. Please take my money, even if you have to charge more. Can you not just charge extra for an off hour breakfast burrito?

Place is amazing and go there almost everyday. One thing is that when I do my call in orders, I sometimes just get hung up on and I'll call again they will answer and then hang up again. I understand that it is probably busy, I wouldn't doubt it, but I wish there was better communication on their end. Besides that, food is amazing

Took the fam to Even Stevens before checking out Freak Alley and other Downtown Boise spots. The staff were super nice, the food was super bomb and it was a great time. Loved some of the art on the walls, others were not my cup of tea but overall super cool spot! If your looking for a good cuban sandwich you gotta try this spot!

I always love eating here. It's the kind of restaurant where you walk up to the counter and order your food and pay, then you go find your seat and they bring you your food.. They have the option to eat inside or eat outside under large umbrellas. When you eat outside you have a view of freak alley. The food is yummy and the people friendly.

It's just OK. The breakfast sandwich was what you would expect. Not bad but not amazing. I didn't realize it came with tater tots, not the biggest fan as they were pretty flavorless. Their feature sandwich was good though! El pastor, I think it was called.

The Do Gouda sandwich was fantastic - amazing flavor. The beer cheese and pretzel bread was also amazing. The tots were less amazing, but still decent. Tried a local beer - "blood orange rustler" from Payette brewing company... Loved it!

Would have been a five star but there were a couple concerns with the food that just couldn’t be fixed. The sandwich I got was very good but the saucy tots were very old. They waitress even put in for another order and the only difference was they were super hot, still the same old tater tot flavor. The Beer cheese wasn’t the best. I believe it was the beer they put into it was the wrong lager. Service was amazing and they tried hard to correct the flavor but just didn’t happen. Environment is great with cool art on the wall. I would come back for the sandwich but nothing else.

Simply delicious breakfast burrito. I like that the eggs still had a runny yolk (medium). You can get scrambled too if that’s not your thing. I had the bacon grad and added ham. The flavors were amazing.

I've never tried this place before and am unable to cook or sit in the restaurant this week, so we ordered Togo. Everything was package up well, but a giant long red-ish hair was right on the inside of the bags, yuck, and made me wonder if people are checking everything for cleanliness or otherwise. (I have black hair, no it was not my hair). The food was good, they forgot my upcharged items I added to my sandwich, and the soup was a little salty, but overall good value and excellent sandwiches, okay beer cheese today, and no hairs inside any food! 😅 will try again some day, maybe inside is better

The vibe when we walked in was for sure welcoming. We were greeted in a kind manner and the plethora of choices all sounded so good but only one choice shall be made. My love for breakfast won me over as I read the words "breakfast served all day" the breakfast sandwich is my final choice and I was definitely not disappointed. Over medium eggs were perfect, the sausage was juicy, cheese perfectly crusted and melted underneath! I absolutely loved my experience and 10 out of 10 would recommend!

Wow. Amazing flavor combos. I had a turkey pot roast sandwich on a crispy baguette with spicy jelly, onions and Swiss and au jus dipping! It was amazing. Bold menu. Staff Is very friendly, helpful and Down to earth. Prices totally normal for what you get. Will be coming back soon!

The best breakfast burrito I've ever tasted. I had the grad with ham, medium fried egg, cheddar cheese, and it was substantial enough I couldn't finish even though I wanted to. The Sriracha with the fresh spinach, fried potato, and creaminess from the fried egg was the chef kiss. Save the Pookie Pie for your afternoon coffee. I will be back to try more!

Wow! Amazing sandwiches! Visited Even Steven's while staying in Boise. The food was amazing! Loved the pretzel & beer cheese appetizer, the bread was incredible. I had the turkey & bacon sandwich with avocado. Again, so so good! The staff was so friendly and helpful, happy to help get us anything we needed. Will definitely be eating here again.

Breakfast burritos are huge and delicious. I get either the undergrad with bacon and scrambled eggs, or the grad and substitute the tomatoes with garlic jalapeños. The staff are chill and younger but kind and helpful. One thing that I do always notice is that the restaurant is kept extremely clean. Even the dust in top of pictures or in high places is gone. I appreciate the owners attention to detail. Always great for breakfast early in the morning.

Food is incredible, great price (especially for downtown), and I love the environment and it has one of the coolest patios downtown b/c of Freak Alley. Definitely a top notch place where your buck goes a long way and it’s fun to be there. Only -1 because the employees just looked depressed, food took a bit w/o a full house, and the order-taker was completely disconnected. I just can’t imagine that all of the employees would feel the same if there weren’t other issues in-house. I just hope they have a better day than they seemed to be having! TL;DR I had a great time with my ma, the food was incredible, and the staff was attentive (albeit not happy)!

Fun atmosphere right downtown, nothing was super fantastic though. The maple apple pecan salad was fine, the grilled cheese was not very good. The specialty sandwiches were the best part though according to my friends who got it and that's not what I ate. So fun place, nothing wrong, but I dont think I'd go back unless someone invited me there specifically.

Once I tasted the amazing pickle I had a hunch the perfect-looking Ruben would be delicious too. Wow. Love the sandwich and basic salad... Definatly going back soon. Great menu and these peeps take real pride in great food and service. Just go. You'll love this Downtown Boise restaurant.

Excellent customer service. I am what you would call picky when it comes to a good Ruben. And I would have to say the even Stevens has probably my favorite is not my number two favorite Ruben ever. Great sandwiches! Meat literally falls apart in your mouth. Definitely recommend the Cuban. Outside seating area is nice, inside seating area is surprisingly large. Every sandwich you buy, they donate another sandwich to a local charity. Will be back.

Was too hungry and busy chatting to take a picture, however my saucy tots were yummy, the tots themselves were fresh, I loved the jalapeno dip, liked the Russian but the beer cheese dip was way thin for my preference. Creative sandwiches in a great location near downtown Boise. Huge plus for having a range of vegetarian and vegan options. Ordered the JP Grilled Sandwich based on recommendation from waitress and it was delicious and spicy. Also ordered the tomato soup as a side to find out it had chicken broth - they quickly replaced it with a side salad. Would go again to try their hummus sandwich.

Everything about this place is truly incredible. The food, first of all, is mind-blowing. You have to try it. Especially if you dine-in. The whole experience of dining there is a real treat. Such an eclectic and fun art-filled ambiance filled with friendly, eager staff is hard not to enjoy. The outdoor seating is a cozy patio with a fire pit surrounded by the colorful graffiti of Boise's famous Freak Alley. If you go on the weekend you may be lucky enough to enjoy live music, too. So much fun, it's my new favorite!

It has been suggested to me by people who work there and people who opened the location originally to eat there but like most sandwich shops I think maybe one day and never really hit on that. This is my absolute favorite sandwhich place in Boise. Doesn't really matter when, I'm always up for food here. At this point I normally order the cubano, but honestly I've never had a sandwhich I didn't like here. The quality of the food is definately above par. The staff is awesome. The building had a great vibe. I'd recommend it for anyone who even remotely likes sandwhiches.

Had the breakfast burrito today. Service was good and staff was friendly. Egg was not cooked all the way through and the flavor seemed "off" somehow. I think they tried to make it fancy, but not my thing... Maybe you would like it.

Ok really this is a 4.5 but u know how it is gotta round up Anyway I got the Reuben sandwich it was good warm well cooked crispy bread all the factors of a good Reuben just I felt it was missing a little something something. Some spiciness I think it needs the option maybe for horseradish or just some spicy sauce and maybe the onions (which werent bad) could be caramelized more other that that great it came with some great chips and was a good atmosphere. Service was fast and food got out quick (like 5 minutes) I give the service a 5 which is why this is a 4.5 instead of just a 4

Great sandwiches, and they had a great mission while it lasted. Would be five stars as they used to donate a sandwich (or the cost of one, $0.54 or something) to the food banks for every sandwich sold, but they don't anymore. Whether it's due to too fast of growth like they say, or the co-founder's sleaziness with lying to investors in his other businesses doesn't matter. Even Stevens should still uphold their mission.

We went to see a friend of ours play some live music there, had never been before, but WOW the food was amazing! We had an assortment of food between us and I believe everyone loved their meal. I had the Mihami Vice their version of a Cubano sandwich. It was out of this world. No joke top five best sandwich I ever had and I am a good sandwich guy. I have eaten all over this country Seattle to Key West and it was fantastic. Had a side of Loaded Mac n Cheese and the roasted Shishini peppers also awesome. Excellent food , super great staff, kid friendly and supports local causes. Vegen and vegetarian menu I noticed. I will be back and I will tell everyone I know this little gem is a must.

While Even Stevens has a few other locations in Utah, it definitely doesn't have a chain feel. I went there for lunch and ordered their Cuban sandwich. The price was about average for the area and the portion sizes were good. Everything tasted fresh and well put together. I plan on going back again to try some of their other sandwiches. ***As a side note, I got there at about 11:45 and there was almost no wait. By the time I left (around 12:25), there was a pretty sizable line. Since this is one of the better fast options in downtown Boise, it seems to get pretty congested at noon.

Simply put, this place is amazing. They are not only a business, they are also working for their community. For each sandwich they sell, they donate one to a person in need. They keep an up-to-the-moment ticker on a t.v. screen of how many sandwiches they have donated. The service is swift, the food is delicious, and the artwork around the room is a treat. Want more great visuals after you eat? This place is part of Artist's Alley, a must see for anyone. Just gou around the side of the building and enjoy.

Great sandwiches, the vegetarian option is okay but not great. The other sandwiches are pretty good. There aren't a ton of chairs but the atmosphere is nice anr theres board games in the lounge area. They donate sandwiches to the poor for every sandwich bought, but that makes them more expensive, $10 a sandwich on average.

I've been here twice and the food and service is always awesome! My favorite is the MiHami Vice, one of the best Cubano sandwiches I've had. I also recommend grabbing a side order of their shishito peppers, they're not spicy but they have a great pepper flavor and come with a tasty Asian style sauce. The prices here are a little higher than average, but they donate a sandwich for every one you purchase so I don't mind spending a little more.

Don't want to take away from your stars but using this platform to say that the speakers at this location are so blown out and distorted sounding. It's really terrible. I run doordash and I wince everytime I have to walk in there. Please do something about it! It sounds crazy, especially because the volume is so loud

I had the beet chicken salad. Next time I think I will get it without the chicken, as it was just sandwich meat plopped in there. The salad would be amazing if it just had a touch of acid. The greens/ingredients were so fresh/good but it just needs a bit of bite. I enjoyed the experience and will return.

I love getting a jalepeno popper grilled cheese here! It will blow your mind! The space is cool and they even have games to play while you wait or just hang out. And you can always order online and stop by and pick it up. The only downside is that the portions are small. But then again the prices are pretty cheap.

I originally ordered a jackfruit sandwich as the description said jackfruit carnitas. I thought this was misleading and was disappointed when I got a sandwich with not carnitas. The employee was understanding and replaced it with the very delicious sandwich I mentioned before. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is because of the jackfruit carnitas issue. Carnitas does not mean what you think it does (she says to the restauraunt). I would recommend changing the description, it's erroneous and misleading.
