We hired Michelle to cater a private dinner for my sisters bachelorette weekend. She was amazing, professional, and courteous! It was awesome to watch her work. Such pizazz! You can see her passion and love for cooking and sharing this with her clients. She arrived on time and beautifully set the table before beginning her magic in the kitchen. She lovely prepared each course and proudly announced each dish as she plated and delivered to the table. I can honestly say that each dish was deliciously hand prepared, each course better than the last. We all honestly believe it was the best meal we have ever had. Don’t hesitate to book Michelle for any occasion. You and your guests will not be disappointed.

We hired Michelle for our Bachelorette party weekend. She came to our rental house and cooked us a fabulous 3 course meal. The food was absolutely delicious. Michelle was very friendly and attentive to our every need. The presentation of the food and the way that it was plated was exquisite. Her assistant Kelly is also great. If you are looking for a private chef you must use Cracker Jack Chef! We hired Michelle for a private dinner at my friend’s bachelorette party (17 people). Overall the experience was perfect. The booking process and menu selection was seamless and Michelle is very responsive if you have questions. The food was incredible - everyone in the group was very complimentary. Also Michelle is awesome which made the experience even more enjoyable!

We hired Michelle to come to our private cottage on the Biltmore estate for my best friend's 40th birthday celebration. She hosted a private dinner for four of us. It was absolutely exceptional! We had small bite appetizers of tuna tartare bites , shrimp and grits, and Brie Granny Apple Smith tartlets with oatmeal crumble, a delicious seasonal salad, and the BEST filet mignon with balsamic red wine reduction, asparagus, whipped potatoes and carrots I think we've ever had! ....And to top it all off she made us a warm chocolate fondue for dessert with pretzels, marshmallows, pound cake, strawberries, etc ...omg!! Do not hesitate to hire her for your next event!! She left the kitchen spotless and was a pleasure to talk with. Thank you michelle!

Michelle is AMAZING! I hosted a retreat for 16 women in an Airbnb, and Michelle with her server arrived early, set up everything seamlessly, and our entire group raved about the food. It was all delicious, served hot, and by far the best chef experience I’ve ever had. We all loved the steak entree especially. I think I could devour a giant bowl of the whipped potatoes. The shrimp and grits appetizer was a big hit. And she went out of her way to ensure our vegan / gluten free attendees had delicious options too. I will definitely book her services again next time I host an event in Asheville.

Michelle prepared an amazing birthday dinner for 10 of us. She came in and prepared everything, served and cleaned. It literally was one of the best experiences I have had. She is super nice and professional and a talented and creative chef. Our entire family would wholeheartedly have her cook for us again! Highly highly recommend. Can't say enough good things about Crackerjack Chef Michelle. We rented a home in Asheville for our daughter's small family wedding (12 people) and Michelle prepared and served two fantastic meals for us. She was easy to work with, a professional in every sense, and the food was delicious. Michelle cooked a fabulous meal for our family in our rental home while on vacation in Asheville. We thoroughly enjoyed each course. Our kids watched her cook and she was so awesome about sharing her passion for cooking with them. Talk about an easy night! She arrived about an hour early to prep, and each course was just excellent! Sundae bar for dessert and the kids said it was their favorite night of vacation. She brought breakfast for the next day, as well - the rosemary bacon, local sausage and the shrimp and grits were just a wonderful reminder of the fabulous dinner we enjoyed the night before. Our family recently rented a cabin in Fairview and hired Michelle to prepare two breakfasts and two dinners in our rental, as well as a prepared meal for a third breakfast that she left with us the second night. Michelle and her food were INCREDIBLE! She was able to blend our requests in with her menus and she did not disappoint. This was our first time hiring a private chef and Chef Michelle made our entire family feel comfortable having her around. Michelle was able to make a smaller portion of adult meals for a child that was traveling with us too. She was happy to answer any questions we had and even gave us a knife sharpening lesson! We will definitely be hiring her again for our next trip and highly recommend her services.

WOW sums it up. When I rented a cabin near Asheville, NC for my big birthday celebration, I started looking around for a personal chef. And I'm so glad I found Michelle at crackerjackchef.com to make that wish a reality at a very reasonable price. She delivered breakfast one morning and then came back in the evening to prepare appetizers, two main dish choices, and dessert for nine of us. The food was INCREDIBLE! For you bacon lovers, you MUST order breakfast and get the bacon. I also asked for a special cake and Michelle nailed it, even though she had never made it before. The dinner - OMG - what can I say, fresh ingredients, professional plating, and a super duper personality. Loved it. There are plenty of choices of dishes, or you can be creative. Michelle is easy to work with. Painless. I would have paid a lot more if I would have taken everyone to a restaurant (IMHO). This was way better and no DD needed. The clean-up.... it was like she was never there. But you will never forget that she was there because her food is just spectacular. It's almost a MUST DO when renting a cabin near Asheville, NC with a group - because what's better than having food prepared at your home/rental house and nobody has to worry about drinking and driving, food prep, cooking or cleaning... Thank you Michelle! I'll never forget how awesome it was. My friends all agreed; we'd love to do it again! See you down the road!

Michelle prepared the BEST wine/whiskey paring dinners we have ever had!!! Every plate she put in front of us was simply perfection and left us full and 110% happy! She was easy to work with and so accommodating for half our group wanting wine and the other wanting whiskey. 10/10 recommend, I wish we lived closer to hire her again!

Michelle is AMAZING! I hired her for our small wedding weekend. She cooked the best food and in fact I’ve honestly still been dreaming about it and wish she was out in Seattle where we live. I would literally pay her to cook for me every night. I have very high standards for food and she went above and beyond them. She has crafted delicious menus for you to pick from which makes planning easy. She worked with me well through all of my many emails and changes. In addition, she was professional and easy to get along with. She left the kitchen clean and served all meals exactly on time plated beautifully. The dinner was exceptional and her service was exactly what you would want attentive and friendly but also gave you space. The 5 course meal she prepared was amazing... from the cheese stuffed bacon wrapped dates, cheese plate and warm spinach soup as appetizers to the fresh salad, gnocchi (which was just decadent!!!) and steak which was perfectly cooked to each of our likings! I had asked if she could make an ice cream cake for dessert because that is my husband’s favorite, and she made us each our own individual ice cream cakes which were delicious! Thank you Michelle for helping to make our trip to Asheville extra special and very memorable! We would definitely recommend her in a heartbeat!

We lucked out, Michelle had a cancellation, emailed right away asking if we were interested, and the constant communication followed henceforth. We were a small party, looking at prepared menu, but she was very happy to allow us to add to it. And it was very much worth it. She showed up in a kitchen, no one in our party had ever seen, and made our experience so seemless that we were able just to enjoy our family. And I have to say, the kitchen was lacking, but she adjusted and brought all the courses home. One other thing I will add, we had multiple courses. She communicated clearly when she would start serving so we could adjust the time if needed, and how the course times would proceed. That is a factor I had not taken into account before, but was wonderfully helpful.

My husband I spent a week in Asheville and decided to spoil ourselves with Chef Kelley’s services. If you have any reservations about hiring a private chef, stop reading and hire chef Kelley right now. It was the best decision we’ve ever made! She cooked one in-home dinner and delivered every meal for the entire week. On the night of our arrival she dropped off dinner as well as breakfast, lunch and snacks for the next day. Each night we were greeted with absolutely delicious food. Even though the meals were made in advance, no quality was sacrificed once reheated; it was like having a restaurant experience for every meal. We could not believe how delicious and varied the food was. Chef Kelley was able to meet our individual needs, allowing me to select sea food for almost every meal while providing my husband with his choice of proteins. The menu was large enough to give a varied menu but she was creative enough to change sides and flavors for dishes we did repeat. Her rosemary bread was some of the best we’ve ever had and her creme brûlée is beyond incredible. Her bagged lunches were handy for hiking and my husband loved her peanut butter/apple sandwich. Our mornings were made easier with her mimosas and candied bacon. Her in-home meal was indescribable and one of the best meals we’ve ever had. Chef Kelley added so many special touches and unique experiences that she’s our new go-to for food in Asheville. Chef Kelley gives Asheville’s restaurants a run for their money!
