Had custom built-in bookshelves installed in my home office. Short review: exceptional craftsmanship and service, definitely recommend. Michael was professional and friendly when taking measurements and putting together an estimate, and then delivered the work on the scheduled he promised. His team (Mike and Angel) did a great job with installation and painting. They fit the shelves perfectly into the frame of the window, and reincorporated the molding top and bottom.

Mike custom-made two beautiful split doors with laminated glass exactly as I had envisioned. The challenge was to make them fit 100-year-old door frames with multiple constraints all around (uneven floor, bowed jambs, tight space for swing, etc.) He came to measure himself several times before drawing up a design, delivered promptly and took my old doors away. The installation team (Joe and his son Joe) was top notch, thoughtful, neat, and pleasant. I feel very lucky to have found Zanzano and have recommended them to my neighbors and friends. Note that the pictures I posted here are of doors that have not yet been painted.

Zanzano Woodworking recently designed, created and installed built-in cabinets for my Family Room. Michael was a consummate professional, listened to my idea for the cabinets and made suggestions to improve, based on his expertise. His crew, Jennifer and John were skilled craftspeople and worked hard to get the job done, staying late several days in order to have it completed in time for a birthday party we were hosting. The quality and workmanship are exemplary! The crew was extremely careful when working in our home making sure they didn't damage our recently finished hardwood floors and leaving the workspace clean and tidy at the end of the day. The price was reasonable and a great value for the work performed. We're so pleased with the results and highly recommend them!

I had a very specific project in my kitchen, remove an old dead built in fridge, install a corner pantry cabinet in that spot, in a separate section remove some existing cabinets and shorted the top ones (to fit a fridge underneath). From the first day they came, they were very courteous, knew what they were talking about, had good ideas and suggestions to create new cabinet sections that would match my existing kitchen. I had other cabinet makers come in to give me estimates, but non seemed confident on it all matching properly (except for Zanzano). Some didn't even want the job, because of how complex it would be to work on and modify existing cabinets. Zanzano has super high craftsmanship, high quality cabinetry and hardware (drawer tracks, hinges, etc), installation also was very clean and quick. Their fabricators and installers that worked on my kitchen are all highly skilled. All in all, I got exactly what the owner Mike had promised me, in terms of how it would look and come out. I would definitely recommend and would reuse them for a future project.

I had a large built-in cherry wall unit including book shelves which had been built 20 years ago to hold a big bulkyTV. When the TV finally conked out I needed a rework of the TV space to fit a new unit. Michael came the same day I called to look over what was needed and agreed to do the job. He came up with a plan to utilize the cherry wood which enclosed the old TV to create a new TV stand and new shelves for the the components. Careful and timely work done by his professional team allowed us to save the wall unit and create a "new" entertainment center for our family room. Highly recommended!

It didn’t disappoint us, and we are very satisfied with the quality of work. Phil, who came to install our cabinets, is very skilled and detail-oriented. Whenever he sees some imperfection, he always tries to fix it, and he makes sure that everything are measured and aligned perfectly. We are very happy with the results.

We had Zanzano remove all our kitchen cupboards, sink and countertops and redesign and replace all. We could not be happier. Not only was the workmanship excellent, but Michael Zanzano and his crew were always there to answer all questions. His crew always arrived on time and were pleasant and attentive to detail. This is the first time we have dealt with Zanzano Woodworking. We looked at other contractors but we felt that Michael was trustworthy. We agreed on a price and he stuck to it. It was a big undertaking for us to completely replace our entire kitchen and we now know we made the right decision with Zanzano.

From start to finish, Zanzano Woodworking was professional and true to their word. We contacted them for a quote to built to built in bookcases in a formal living room. They sent 3d design and then incorporated a few changes based on a picture we saw in a magazine. They matched the crown molding at the top of our bookshelves to our existing crown molding and also matched paint colors. Building took place in their studio and installed over a few days in our home. The craftmanship is flawless. They paid attention to detail and created exactly what we asked for. I wanted floor to ceiling book shelves for my living room (now library!) After Michael asked me to send him photos of the look I was after, he designed shelving units that fit into and wrapped around two walls. The units were put together in the workshop and delivered already primed. The installation, including moldings, took two days, which I found quite impressive given, among other challenges, the uneven flooring in my old building. Now finished the shelves look beautiful and fit so seamlessly into the space it feels as if they were always there. Everyone who worked on the project was professional, personable, and efficient. I would highly recommend Michael and his team of aritisans for any carpentry project.

Zanzano Woodworking recently completed a custom, fitted bookcase in the living room of our home in Bronxville, Westchester County. We found Michael and his company through a local referral and immediately found him friendly and responsive. Within 24 hours of us first making contact he visited our home to discuss our needs, present options and agree a timeline. It was clear from the beginning that he was able to translate our vision for the space into a practical and attractive solution, which he subsequently presented through a 3D drawing at the same time as us agreeing a price. The bookcase then went into workshop production. There were some minor delays, but with good reason, and we appreciated Michael keeping us up to date at all times. A short while later, Michael and his team arrived for the installation and finishing, which took place over a 1-2 week period. The installation was not straightforward - our house is old, the floors uneven, and the bookcase was in a corner location then extending under a bay window. But Michael and his team worked diligently to come up with creative solutions to all problems and to fulfill on his promise of making the finished product look like it had been designed and built in the original home construction. We're delighted with the bookcase - it completes our living area and is now filled with books - and wouldn't hesitate to use Zanzano Woodworking again for a similar project.

I hired Zanzano Woodworking for my kitchen remodel in Ridgefield. Mike is a perfectionist and a professional in every sense of the word. There are several things I consider when rating a job like this. There’s the obvious: Mastery craftsmanship, budgeting/estimating, design, and trustworthiness. There’s no question, the man is gifted! My custom-made cabinets are not only built to perfection but, he was also very creative about maximizing cabinet space. When it came to estimating, Mike didn't pull any punches – there were no unpleasant surprises. My job came in over-budget ONLY because I picked pricier materials than initially discussed. Then there's the not-so-obvious things to consider...the right balance of someone who listens and considers your ideas/vision (without pushing his own agenda) and someone who contributes ideas to ENHANCE your vision. Mike was very attentive to my wants and even when I couldn't articulate what I wanted, he grasped the gist and presented ideas to me. When we came across snags (I have an old house with many warts), Mike never said, “no way/impossible!” Instead, he thought out-of-the-box and offered creative suggestions and executed them flawlessly. I will also add, Mike was very conscientious about my house cat. I never had to worry that he’d accidentally let her out; he’s meticulous, too. AND, very rare with contractors in my experience, he started and finished the job without ‘disappearing’ for weeks in between. I have no hesitation recommending Zanzano Woodworking.
