Reviews of Florida School of Woodwork
Carl Johnson
Windsor chair class was great! Travis Curtis taught a week long class of introduction to making a Windsor chair class and I couldn't be more pleased. The class had a great flow to it, followed a very logical sequence and we all finished our chairs. This has been my 5th class I have taken at the Florida School of Woodwork and as always Kate did a great job making sure everything ran smoothly. I've already signed up for my next class!

This School is absolutely fabulous. We are exceptionally lucky to have a world-class woodworking school right here in Tampa. Kate and her team have an incredible program for anyone - beginner or master. When I started 2 years ago I was a beginner, and I just recently earned a Certificate in Woodworking and started my own woodworking business. I am eternally grateful for Kate and the School in helping me with a huge career change. Thank you. Jeff Goble D.O.L.Woodcraft

I took a 5-days class with Michael Cullen who is an awesome artist, designer and craftsman. My money was very well invested and I brought home a ton of knowledge where my skills were taken to a new level. Kate and Andrew were A+ in giving the best attention to the students. After this magnificent experience, I have to come back for more. The bandsaw box class in one you can't miss.
Vickery Animal Hospital
This was my first week long woodworking course. Coming in, I was a bit nervous about having the skill sets necessary to keep up with the project. Kate does an amazing job welcoming incoming students to her school. It very quickly feels like a second home. They do a fantastic job providing amenities, and making the school comfortable. I took the Tansu Wall Cabinet with Mike Pekovich. I can't speak to all of the guest instructors, but Mike is awesome. We had quite a varied group in terms of skills, and I think everybody took home a bunch of new information. I will be back!
Andrew Marshall
What a truly amazing experience. The instructors, Kate, Andrew and visiting instructor, Kelly, were all super knowledgeable, very thoughtful and connected easily and seamlessly to a group of people who were either brand new or semi knowledgeable with woodworking. That takes quite a talent to lead a broad and diverse group together and never leave anyone behind, nor leave anyone yearning for more.
I walked away with a plethora of knowledge and critical skills attained to help me further explore and refine my hobby and quite possibly start something that could grow in to something bigger.
The shop has a diverse set of tools to learn and refine skills, yet the class size was small enough so that you always had access to what you needed for your task or could buddy up and watch and assist each other with each task associated with your project.
It was also an absolute pleasure to have the two dogs in the shop…as an out of towner, it made missing my dogs a bit easier.
All in all, I would highly recommend this school and each instructor. I look forward to signing up for another one soon and it’s very clear why they are such a well known school…worth every penny.

Great class with excellent instructor. Lots of time to practice and answer questions. Most tools needed are available in the shop.
Lots of emphasis on sharpening and understanding the various joints. The description of the class did mention power tool joinery, but that wasn't used in the class. Hand tools only.

I recently travelled to Tampa from San Francisco to complete Mike Pekovich's Tansu Cabinet class at the Florida School of Woodwork. I had not heard of the school before, but saw an announcement on Mike's social media feed and managed to snag the last spot sight unseen.
I arrived at the school to find a bright and airy work space. Each of the benches was well equipped with all of the essential tools: (sharp) Narex chisels, bench and block planes (Lie Nielsen, HNT), Festool dust collectors, etc. I did not carry any of my tools (having travelled only with a carry-on) and that absolutely did not detract from my work.
Kate, the affable and efficient owner of the school runs a solid operation. They were trying out a new lunch arrangement which made it possible to maximize time in the shop. The school made arrangements to have my completed project shipped to me after I left.
I had wondered how the school had attracted such an impressive roster of teachers before I went there. The answer was plain to see: it is a well-run and well-equipped school, with a welcoming owner, making it a great experience all around. I hope to be back.
Stuart & MIchelle Langer
I have taken two classes at FSoW, one in person, a week-long box making class with Michael Cullen, and one virtual, Shaker Oval Boxes with Kelly Parker. I came away from both of these classes much better at the craft, having pushed myself outside my comfort zone and created artifacts that exceeded my expectations.
The facilities onsite are outstanding, and the virtual class was extremely well put together, with all the unique supplies arriving in a timely fashion, and the sessions moderated by a staff member allowing the instructor to focus on delivering content and supporting the students.
Kate has done a great job creating an environment that permits all levels of woodworkers with a wide variety of interests to be better as a result of the learning experience.
Linda Higgins
Had a great time at the Florida School of Woodwork using a lathe to make a beer cup. Learned lots of tips and tricks with different tools.
Rudy was the teacher and fully explained the how's and why's of each tool before we applied the methodology to create our individualized cup.
There was a choice of cherry wood or maple starting with a block of wood. The final product has a preservative added.

What a FABULOUS experience I just had. 3 Day weekend workshop sponsored by Fine Woodworking magazine, followed by 6 day apprenticeship. The school facility is First Rate in every way - power and hand tools, materials, building, location, event planning and execution and especially - the owners who manage the school. NICE and KNOWLEDGABLE describe Kate and efficient and experience describe Carl. And both produce great work themselves. In part I attended due to close proximity to my W Palm Beach home, but I certainly see why woodworkers came from as far as British Columbia, CA. This is a Very Valuable asset to Tampa and the woodworking community at large.

I participated in the hand tool weekend with Andrew instructing. It was wonderful and I would support the classes at the school!!! Thank you again Kate!!!
The school has a full complement of tolls but i was able to bring my tools which had been in storage for a number of years.
The class allowed us to learn and practice most of not all the basic hand tool skills. Andrew was more than glad to answer any questions and spend time with each student! His guidance was a perfect mix of hands on experience but allowed the student to learn and practice.
We made a frame practicing all the standard joints including lap and tenons. Also we went through dovetail boxes including half blind dovetails. Some students had enough time to bring rough boards to 6 sided dimensions flat and square.
Andrew was more than willing to cover any topic indent according to the students request. It was also great to use my tools.
Thank you to Andrew and to Kate for a wonderful experience!!!!
Helga Bleyaert
Exactly what I was looking for. I've been dabbling in woodworking for years but this class filled in all the gaps and was so much fun. A perfect mix of technical class work followed by hands on practice. Can't wait for the next one!
Jilda Strader
This class was awesome! It is structured so that as you are learning different tools and techniques, you are also building (and finishing) your two projects. The instructors are experienced and knowledgeable and also very adept at imparting that knowledge to the students. The classroom atmosphere is friendly and fun, yet focused on getting through the program safely and successfully. Thanks Kate, Andrew and Morgan for a great week!!
Greg Newell
I'm a total beginner when it comes to woodworking, but I felt completely comfortable in the class (I did the 2-day Intro to Woodworking). Kate did a great job explaining things, and it was helpful to be able to try so many different large power tools. I expect I will be taking more classes soon! I highly recommend Florida School of Woodwork.
Paula Dilanchian
Amazing experience with Frank Strazza at the Florida School of woodwork. My woodworking education and experience was limited to YouTube videos and pocket hole joinery prior to this class. At the end of class we had learned many hand tool skills including mortise and tenon joinery, mastering hand tool techniques with planes/scrapers and chisels. Many demonstrations throughout the class including details of tool sharpening, measuring accurately, and sawing techniques. The end product was a lovely rocking chair that I am displaying in my living room, it is such a beautiful piece of furniture. Kate who coordinated the entire event was a wealth of knowledge and a perfect host, from coaching at the band saw to daily afternoon tea time. Andrew and Bob were very generous to share their expertise and assisting us during the whole process. Highly recommend this class and I will be back for more classes for sure!
Cheryl Janse
I took the beginner woodworking weekend class and Kate was an amazing teacher....enthusiastic and thorough.
Sarah Geiger-Behm
This is such a wonderful place. It’s ideal for learning woodworking—perfectly equipped with top notch tools, not too big or small and the space is bright, airy and pleasant. Kate made sure everything went smoothly and the instructors are the very best in the field. There’s a reason they can attract the best instructors—it’s just a fantastic space. Even still, they were so patient to help me learn basic things I didn’t know, and I learned more than I was expecting. Although I took a chair class, the chisel and sharpening skills I learned will benefit everything I make going forward. If you are interested in learning more about woodworking or just want to try a fun project, you can’t go wrong taking a class here. It’s a real gem.
Michelle Meunier
The FSW is an amazing place to learn woodworking. The school is well-equipped to facilitate your learning experience with small classes and great instructors. Kate's care and attention to detail are simply a notch above. I'm looking forward to take more classes in the next year to complete the Certificate in woodworking.

It was clear the instructors Kate and Andrew really love what they are doing in teaching others. Their enthusiasm was infectious, and nicely complemented by their patience with each student. Really enjoyed it.
Kerry Sheridan
I took the weekend turning class with Beth Ireland and it was an amazing experience. As someone brand new to woodworking but long eager to try it, I found the atmosphere to be incredibly supportive and not at all intimidating. I learned so many skills, got hands-on experience and came away confident and looking forward to learning more. Kate and Beth were dedicated to the students, and the small class size ensured there was just the right amount of teacher-student interaction. They also actively sought feedback in order to make the experience as positive as possible for the next students through the door. The range of cool (and high-quality) tools available was eye-popping! Bottom line: it was a lot of fun. I highly recommend Kate's shop and the classes offered there to anyone interested in woodworking.

I took the weekend beginner class last summer and had a great experience! I was starting from absolute zero, had never even touched a saw before, and this class gave me the confidence I needed to try my own projects at home. Kate is an excellent instructor and I especially appreciated her input on how to get a shop started at home and use the techniques we had learned without necessarily having access to some of the cooler tools available in the shop.
I live in Orlando and it was well worth the drive over for the weekend. They have classes for every skill level and the staff work hard to create a friendly and inviting atmosphere for all, so don't be afraid to give it a shot!
Rick Cannon
I had a great time talking the Staked Furniture class at the Florida School of Woodworking. The instructor was very knowledgeable and the class facilities were outstanding and first class!! Thank you. See you soon!
Joel McCarty
A great setup. The machines, tools and staff are top notch. I drove > 1,000 miles to attend a class there and based off the experience would gladly do it again. Kate, Andrew and crew were top notch.
Daniel Linden
I've taken 2 classes, both with Kate, and they are always very informative and a blast. She goes into just enough detail to get you started down the various paths that woodworking has to offer. When it comes to using the tools, she has multiple machines at multiple price points so students can begin to understand the difference between a $750 machine and a $10,000 machine. Everything is provided for you and the classes are well worth the money. I'll be back for sure!
Kathy Coleman
An excellent class with very knowledgeable instructors. We had enough to work on with the various skills and a good amount of personal attention when we needed it. This was a very well designed course!
John Griffing
I took the beginning woodwork class the last week of January 2021. I was truly a beginner, unfamiliar with most tools, equipment, and processes. Kate Swann is not only a seasoned woodworker/artist, but she is an excellent teacher/guide. The class is well thought out and organized. I'll go back! JG
Fitz-Edward Otis
Starting with the beginning woodworking weekend class, I have now taken four classes and could not be happier with the entire experience. The facility and curriculum are top notch. More impressive are the instructors. They have that rare combination of knowledge, patience and enthusiasm that make learning easy and fun. If you have ever thought you would like to try woodworking or have been tinkering in your garage and want a real jump start to the next couple of levels, you need to take a course at the Florida School of Woodworking.
Tenille Tillet
I recently took the Basic Woodworking class which is a beginner’s course or if you are simply looking to refresh skills. It was very informative. This was my first experience working with wood so I was a little nervous that I would get lost quickly but Kate (instructor) did an excellent job of keeping a pace that was helpful for both newcomers and experienced woodworkers. The shop is spacious, bright, and well organized. The class size was small creating an intimate environment that helped each person learn at a pace that worked best for them as well as feel comfortable asking questions. We learned about the basics of wood and the commonly used tools need for working with raw material. On the days that were heavier in working on personal projects, Kate had an assistant to help answer questions about technique and proper use of machinery. Overall, this was a wonderful experience because I felt that I had the opportunity to learn in a safe environment. I'll be back for the box making class and the finishing class!
Shannon Aguilar
What a fun weekend! Kate really knows her stuff. I came in with next to no woodworking knowledge and I left with a beautiful chopping board that I made myself. I felt really accomplished and look forward to join the school again in the future to learn some more new skills. I highly recommend you check them out!
Theresa Morgan
I took the beginning woodworking class, and found that I got more than I bargained for. I am a female student and took the class in order to assist my husband in the shop and maybe do some projects of my own. The two day class was quite an eye-opener. I now not only understand the equipment (what it does, how to intelligently buy it, and how to safely use it), but for me the biggest takeaway was learning how to approach design. Kate is a natural instructor. The class is interesting, varied, and very hands-on. I do not hesitate to give it my highest recommendation.
Cory Hoover
I've taken two classes in person and 2 online courses and I can't even put into words how much they have helped me to become a decent woodworker (I've got a ways to go). I started with the introduction to woodworking class even though I had some experience and thought that it might be a little below my level. I was very wrong. I learned so much that it completely changed how I thought about woodworking.
Since then, I've taken classes in Box making and marquetry, joint making, and router skills. My game has been upped considerably.
In addition to the skills that I've learned, I've really enjoyed the people and atmosphere that Kate has created. The instructors are enthusiastic, encouraging and seem to truly enjoy helping us novices. I was a little nervous about the online aspect, but it too has worked out great. The personal interaction with the instructors makes it easy to learn.
I'm hooked, and I encourage anyone who is interested in woodworking to give it a try here.

Just finished the bandsaw box class with Michael Cullen. Terrific experience. Michael is an unbelievable artist/woodworker. There’s no way I will ever be able to create something as amazing as his work, but it sure will be fun trying. Kate has created a wonderful space for creating and learning and her genuine warmth and desire to help her students have a great experience is much appreciated. Couldn’t ask for a better time. Thanks so much Michael and Kate.

Just took Aspen Golann's virtual class on broom making through the Florida School of Woodwork. We made five brooms in a four hour class. She was an excellent instructor, giving us very specific direction and going over techniques multiple times until the class was comfortable. When I signed up for the class, broom materials were sent to me with another specific list of materials needed. The process was smooth, seamless and the broom making class was a lot of fun!!!!!
Matthew Cook
I just finished their weekend Introduction to Woodworking class. Both days were highly educational, with both instructors being extremely knowledgable in their craft. If you’re looking into getting into wood crafting and don’t know where to start, I HIGHLY recommend this school. I cannot say enough good things about it and look forward to taking more classes with this school in the future!

Our 16 year old daughter loved the teen woodwork camp with Ms Kate, and can’t wait to join her in the shop again very soon. In one week, the teens made gorgeous cutting boards and charming side tables. The environment was full of energy and creativity! Safety was a priority, as teens operated machinery. We wholeheartedly recommend the Florida School of Woodwork for teens and adults.

Some folks go to Disneyland every year - THIS place is my disney! I always look forward to the same cast of characters and there is even a goofy in the crowd (Cisco Mike). Like disney - the experience is a WOW! Kate, Andy and instructor @michaelcullendesigns make this old lady feel like she's 10 again! Love getting there - catching up with old friends and making new ones. Learning new tricks and polishing the old. This place sparks creativity and and the shop is set up like a theme park for wood workers. Always hate to leave, but can't wait to get back to my own shop to immerse myself in new ideas and techniques. Thinking about learning something new or stepping outside of your comfort zone come to Florida School of Woodwork! The only wish for my star tonight is another class at FSW.
Teresa Cherry
This was a really cool experience to do by yourself or with one or more friends and family. The building there has been renovated into a beautiful school that is clean and safe. A lot of the equipment is connected to a vacuum that keeps sawdust and debris out of the air. Kate and Andrew made this experience very fun and provided excellent information and assistance with all of the tools and machines. The end product is a beautiful, unique, and practical gift! I would recommend this experience to anyone visiting or local.

I am a retired school teacher and recently took two classes at Franklin Street Fine Woodwork. The classes provided basic instruction in lecture format, as well as practical application of beginning woodworking skills in the shop. We learned much about the character of wood, the milling process, measurement, usage of tools, and how to make accurate cuts. There were ample opportunities to practice skills on quality machinery. There were five people in the class - small enough to accommodate individual needs. The projects led students through a step by step process to complete simple boxes with interesting detail and creative embellishment. The instructors are skilled woodworkers with competent teaching styles and a priority on safety. They readily provide feedback and coaching from start to finish. I learned a great deal in a short amount of time and feel a sense of confidence with my new hobby. I would highly recommend Franklin Street Fine Woodwork to woodworkers of all levels.
Aviva Furman
What a wonderful weekend workshop at the Florida School of Woodwork. All of the teachers were outstanding - Kate, Beth, Dixie, and Melissa. They explained things simply and thoroughly, and worked well with beginners and the more experienced woodworkers. Not only did I learn a lot, but it was a fun time with friendly conversations and a lot of laughter. The space is lovely too. Wish I lived closer... I'd be signing up for more. I highly recommend it.
Peyton Flowers
Fantastic work space, fantastic teaching, a lot of kindness, sweet doggos! I, knowing nothing about woodworking, took an introductory woodcutting class. It was very approachable and everything I needed was provided. I got to walk away with two printed wood blocks, multiple cotton prints, and cards. I can’t wait to take more. Highly recommend! Life is better when you’re learning, and this is a great place to start. 😊
John Joseph Cascone
Amazing facility! Ms. Swann and Andrew were there for every question or need. Chris Schwarz has so much innate knowledge that he passes on, seemingly without even realizing he is dispensing pearls of knowledge. My basic knowledge and skills were expanded exponentially and my faith in what I have learned previously inspired me to heights I thought were pipe dream. I will go back the first opportunity I have.
Thanks for everything ya'll are a resource I never expected to find here in Florida.
Se'a Ryan
What makes the florida school of woodwork the best classes you ever took?
Kate!!! Our instructor.
Brilliant, creative, inspirational, engaging and incredibly witty, your journey will feel like falling down the rabbit hole in wonderland..You will learn and understand the who, what, where, why, and how of the magical world of wood working on a level you NEVER imagined. You wont even believe what you’re truly capable of, and will scramble over classmates to be first in line for the next class.
Rachel Keener Killam
I took the Woodworking Basics two-day weekend class and it was one of the best ways to spend my time learning the foundations, and getting fantastic hands-on experience and feedback! I work full time and have a family and the weekend class was a great way to do something for myself to learn about concepts I wanted to learn. I've been doing my own upcycling and repurposing for about a year, and this class provided a broad range of professional instruction, information, and practice that I can use for my projects. Kate, the woodworker and teacher, was phenomenal. She guided us through the entire process, providing expertise on practicing woodwork, as well as reminding us of the mindfulness and creativity in the process. I got to learn how to safely use some pretty badass tools too: table saw, chop saw, band saw, router, planer, and jointer! Kate helped us feel comfortable, safe, and confident using these tools that many of us had never used before. I highly recommend this for anyone who is new to this--very open, friendly, and fun environment!

I recently took the beginner woodworking class and it was incredible.
I considered myself an "advanced" beginner in woodworking, having done lots of projects in my home workshop. I was always making "mistakes" with my cuts and joints and I can now see that they were actually driven by my lack of understanding of the fundamentals of woodworking.
If you have some woodworking experience and are on the fence about whether or not to take the beginner woodworking course-- I strongly recommend it. I found the class mind-expanding, with numerous "aha" moments, and believe that I got more out of the class because I have an experienced appreciation for the challenges in woodworking.
Haniel Wides
I just attended an incredible week long class here. The shop is beautifully designed and maintained (and abundantly equipped), the snacks top notch, and most importantly, the instructor and staff were so patient, kind, knowledgeable and helpful. I'll definitely try to make my way back down soon.
Herb Granado
I'm a self taught woodworker with several years of experience under me. I decided to a class, because you can always learn something new and I'm so happy that I took this class. I learned new thing and fix some of my old bad habits that I have pick up throughout the years. The school was great plenty of room and all the equipment needed to get the job done. The instructor were great, had the knowledge and more importantly the patience needed to teach.
Looking forward to the next class

I wanted to get started in the post-retirement hobby of furniture making and woodworking. I was somewhat hesitant to sign up for an introduction to woodworking class. I grew up in the construction industry and am a civil engineer by education, so signing up for an introductory class seemed somehow too elementary in my mind. Instead, I thought I could self-teach and started assembling the tools that I thought I would need. I soon realized that I’d better slow down and get some expert help. That’s when I looked up the folks at Franklin Street Furniture.
After speaking with Kate Swann, I reluctantly realized that an introduction class was where I belonged. My first mistake in the pursuit of woodworking was not taking this class first as some of my initial equipment purchases proved to be unnecessary.
Kate takes you through the most important aspects of woodworking; with one of the first being design. As a civil engineer I catch myself thinking strictly in linear terms, but with Kate’s guidance I have learned to think about woodworking in more non-linear, artistic and aesthetic terms. This part of the class was most enlightening. You then proceed through the proper use of measuring tools and machinery, the characteristics and types of wood, joinery (which is an art form unto itself) and then wood finishing. This was a very comprehensive beginners’ course that proved to be most rewarding and useful. Had I taken this course before acquiring any equipment, I would have certainly saved quite a bit of money on unnecessary equipment purchases.
I was so impressed with the beginners’ course, that I again made the three hour trip up to Tampa, stayed in a hotel for the better part of a week and took 4 days of private instruction which I feel helped my woodworking skills develop very rapidly – no doubt saving countless hours of frustration.
I cannot more highly recommend the folks at Franklin Street Furniture for their woodworking instruction. The classes are highly educational, enlightening and informative and a great deal of fun. If someone is serious about getting into woodworking or advancing their knowledge on the subject, I can’t imagine a better place to start than with Kate and Carl at Franklin Street Furniture!

Fantastic school. I treated myself to a weekend woodturning class for my birthday. State of the art equipment, gorgeous workspace, amazing owner and world class instructor, Beth Ireland! I gained so much from this experience and highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to explore the world of wood. Can’t say enough nice things!
Krystal Noiseux
I hadn't built a thing in my life before I did the beginning woodworking class with Kate. Walking into the shop for the first time, all the equipment made me dizzy, but over the course of three short days I can't believe how many different machines and tools I learned to use. I really recommend this class to anyone who is intimated at the mere idea of building something on their own (I know I was!). Now I have something cool to show for it! Thanks Kate!
Tiffany Green
Exceeded my expectations. I completed the beginning wood working class and was amazed at the amount of knowledge they were able to share in a 1 week class. I highly recommend.
Ken Brownlee
I enjoyed the week there at the school. I learn so much in even in one day that it put me years ahead of trying on my own. I learn technics that I could never have developed on my own without the hands on experience and the teacher easily available to ask questions and to show me what I was doing incorrectly. I have moved so much farther in my craft. The best five days of learning.
David Gafhook
I am a self taught woodworker, and decided to take the box making class (since retirement this is my therapy and my kids bought me a gift card for Xmas). Really great class, you learn skills with box making that can be incorporated into bigger projects.
* GREAT SHOP (all the tools you always wanted but couldn't justify because you didn't know how to use them!)
* GREAT INSTRUCTORS ( they really make you feel like part of the club)
So many times over the years I had talked about how much fun it would be to work in the shop with "Norm"..... to be able to ask questions as they arrive... that's what my experience was like.. Loved it!!
Jeffrey Barrett
Frankly, there was no wasted time during the entire week. I learned a good deal for the future as well as a number of things I was doing wrong. The instruction was clear and concise. I am looking forward to the router school.
matthew Pickron
Made a chopping board. Lots of fun learning things that I had no idea about. Took home a lot of good info

What a fun experience! If you are looking for an activity that is more than just movies, shopping, or going to the beach - check out the Florida School of Woodworking! Kate has an amazing setup to teach people how to safely use tools to create your own masterpieces. What a wonderful way to spend the day - learning new skills and taking home a piece you can use for years to come! For those old enough, this will remind you of the joy you had in woodshop back in middle school or high school before those offerings were removed. There is something for everyone and all skill levels here. Check it out! You won't regret it!!

I am so glad that I took the Beginning Woodworking class here. Kate is a true teacher, not just a good woodworker. I came into the class a little nervous because I already had some woodworking skill, and was afraid this might be too low a level. I was completely wrong. It did reinforce some things that I could already do, but it was so much more. It opened my eyes to things that I didn't know that I didn't know. I am so thankful to have a solid base under me now. I feel like I can move forward with a solid understanding of what I am doing, and why I am doing it instead of just being able to build a table or something. As an example, (It sounds crazy,) I understand sandpaper and it's use in a way that I never have before and never would have learned. It used to be one of my least favorite parts, now it is one of my favorites. I'm hooked and I'll be back for sure.
Randy C
I recently took the box making class and thought it was wonderful. I learned many new techniques and was able to try them out with Kate's guidance. I'll definitely take another class there some day.
roger Walko
Great experience. Large working area with plenty of room to move about. Great materials available for projects. Helpful hands available when needed. High quality tools and instruction for beginners and experienced students. Adorable shop dog with plenty of wags. Professional, knowledgeable, friendly, relaxed atmosphere. And delicious sausages.
Michael Wusik
This place is absolutely amazing. I just took a lathe class where we learned to make a beer cup. The instruction was extremely good - I learned a lot, the cup came out fantastic and it was so much fun. Everyone with the school was super friendly. Looking forward to the next class!
Mark Stephenson
They do amazing, high end custom furniture for private homes, condos and business. Kate and Carl are partners and the resident artists/designers. If you're looking for custom furniture in the Tampa area, this is the spot.
This is not a cabinet shop! It's really an art studio and they work in furniture and wood!
Tony Cannizzaro
Kate was great, she was never late now they want me to rate
the class
She knows her stuff, she teaches it enough without too much fluff and I made a table
from scratch
You'll be happy you went.
Lee Borders
Kate is running a first class operation here. I attended the Morley Lounger class and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Virginia
Woodworking Basics was amazingly thorough accompanied by real hands-on learning and taught by Kate, the goddess of tools&wood.
Carl Johnson
So far I have taken a wood carving class, a bowl carving class, a lath turning class and a wood bending class. If you want to up your woodworking, this is the place.
Bob Mandl
Excellent place to learn woodworking. All instruction was clear and concise. Can't wait to take an other coarse.
Steven Grubb
Had a great time, very unique experience. Would do again.
Mark Thomas
I took a great drawing class with Michael Fortune. Strongly recommend.
Sara Vlhova
Great instruction, very informational and a wonderful hands on experience to learn woodworking.
Martha Scott
Great facility, great instructor.
Rob Roy
Great Learning! I have taken 7 classes in 4 different woodworking schools from up and down the east coast and this place is the best. Standing around time waiting for machines is at a minimum, the place doesn't nickel and dime you on material cost, sandpaper and such as other schools. The school even feed us 4 of the 5 days, inclusive...... Great place Kate the owner is running with a great staff who are there for any questions or needed encouragement that you might need.
And yes, I signed up immediately for another class before it got booked.
