I’m so grateful we went with Bruce for our custom cabinetry. Our built-in transformed an odd-shaped room into a multi-functional office / den. The design phase was a delight. Bruce took an antique baker’s hutch that I love and used it as concept for the much-larger cabinet. Receiving the drawings was fun, and so was making so many subsequent decisions. I still can’t believe how beautifully everything came together—and how functional and fun the room now is. I had great expectations and they were surpassed. Installation was a dream. Our home is 200 years old, which means it is rather uneven. Alex and Alejandro are immensely professional artisanal craftsmen working skillfully and efficiently to get the cabinets installed to all my very specific specifications. Worth noting: we priced out different pre-made cabinet combinations and went with Bruce because we didn’t want to compromise on the built-in look & sturdy functionality. I was shocked to learn that his prices weren’t much higher than the higher-end models we’d browsed. Dollar-for-dollar, we got much better value with Bruce. I look forward to working with Bruce and co. again. Bravo and thank you again!

Mission Impossible? Not for Bruce Custom Woodworking. Okay, so Bruce is not Tom Cruise, but he took on and succeeded at a project others told me was not possible. Here's the story. There was a downdraft grill installed in my kitchen island, which I not only did not use, it was unsightly and took up space. Everyone I consulted said I would need to replace the entire Corian countertop, at a price in the thousands of dollars. After sending photos to Bruce, he assured me he could patch the hole with a large piece of matching scrap Corian I had in the basement. He promised me the seams would be inconspicuous. He installed the repaired countertop today and take a look the before and after photos. The seams are not inconspicuous, they are invisible. I've looked and looked and still cannot see where he made the patch. He did a sensational job at a reasonable price. Not only that, (and that would be enough) he is pleasant, reliable, imaginative and communicative. Even Tom Cruise can't claim all that.

Bruce and his entire team were a dream to work with. They had a tough task trying to match the color and style of my existing cherry cabinets, but they nailed it! They added cabinets and decorative side panels onto my island and also installed additional cabinets and beautiful floating shelves. The quality and craftsmanship exceeded my expectations. Bruce is a really nice guy and gifted artist. He came to our house during the pandemic and took every precaution. We had a general idea of what we wanted, but no technical knowledge. After a brief description he drew up a design and gave us a quote and thought of things we never would have. His team builds the piece at their workshop, which took about 2 months, and then come to install it. The install took one day and Alex, the head craftsman, was great. He knew exactly what he was doing, worked the entertainment center into the space and matched the crown molding exactly. The quality of the work and people is worth the extra cost from just buying something on Wayfair or pottery barn that won’t match exactly or fit perfectly. We couldn’t be happier.

Over a number of years I have had the following work done by Bruce Custom Woodworking. I guess I like his work: Master Bathroom vanity and dormer wall built-in units. Office Desk. Bedroom Desk Unit. Other bedroom dormer built-in dresser unit and built-in book shelves that swing out to a reveal a hidden storage area. Vanity in upstairs kids bathroom. A complete redo of a large kitchen area including a very large Island and all cabinets and molding. A media center in the family room. A specialized mantle around and above the fireplace. The cabinets in the 1st floor mudroom. A media center in the basement playroom area. I find his work to be top of the line and his prices fair. He works in a timely manner and his workers are excellent at what they do but also very respectful of the work environment. Absolutely no complaints here.
