I had an excellent car buying experience at Passport Mazda! My sales rep Adrian went above and beyond to ensure I had a great buying experience. I traveled from Houston to purchase my vehicle and Adrian very kindly picked me up from the airport. He was very helpful with all the questions I had leading up to the purchase and held the car for me until I was able to make the trip over to buy the vehicle. Adrian displayed exemplary customer service skills and truly made my visit a wonderful experience!
The staff at Passport Mazda were all very kind and congratulated me on my vehicle purchase after traveling from Texas. I also really appreciated the fact that Passport Mazda does not include any additional or hidden fees that some dealerships do these days. They don't play games - very professional, kind and straightforward. Would highly recommend this dealership and especially working with Adrian. My experience here has been incredible. It’s a terrible market to buy a car now. Normal wait for Japan made cars we’ve asked around is generally more than a month. But we’ve discovered that this dealership has a new car that we want arriving in less than two weeks (what they told us at the very beginning). It turns out that the car arrived in five days!
The sales consultant Adrian was incredibly helpful on help us booking the car and later pickups. He even gave us ride to the food court nearby while waiting for the car to be cleaned. The finance manager Carlos is also very supportive. We are very pleased with this experience!

Absolutely in love with my new vehicle (2023 Mazda CX-50 Turbo) . I purchased my car at Passport Mazda on 5/21/2022 and my experience was top notch. I was previously dealing with another dealership closer to my home but they dropped the ball on the deal so I gave my business to Passport Mazda in Suitland even though they were much further away.
Communication is key and Passport always kept me up to date via text messaging. Rafael answered all of my questions and kept me updated on the status of my car's arrival (global supply chain issues). Likewise, the purchase process was straightforward and quick thanks to Mark Barrow. Everything from initial contact to sales to financing was handled quickly and professionally. A month later I came to pick up my new plates and they put it on for me in 2 minutes with no wait time. That's great customer service. I also need to add that every person I interacted with was friendly and pleasant. This dealership is a well oiled machine which is what a business should be. Thanks to all that helped with my '22 CX--5 Turbo purchase.

I’ve never had a better car buying experience. Adrian was extremely responsive by text and phone, and in person he was friendly, helpful, and made the whole process run smoothly. He took time to show us all the features of our new car and made sure our floor mats and cargo net were installed before leaving, and even topped off our gas tank. The car buying process was super easy. Adrian was extremely communicative throughout, always responding to my emails extremely promptly. He walked me through the arrivals of multiple different trims of the CX-5 before finally arriving on the perfect match. Adrian kept me updated as I awaited the arrival of the car to the dealership.
Upon arrival, the process was super smooth. I was in and out of the dealership way faster than anticipated. Adrian did a great job of walking me through the features of the car and the finance manager was easy to work with, describing all the additional options available without being overly pushy on purchasing any. There were no surprise fees at the end of the day. I would definitely buy a car from here again.

I wish there were an option for 10 stars, they deserved. Since I called to ask if they have vehicles available to sell Andre Paulet was professional, friendly and beyond understanding what customer service is. I was looking for CX5 for my college graduate daughter. We had a Infiniti QX60 for trade in paid off. He immediately answered all my questions . My husband, daughter and I drove 1:30 hr during traffic time, to get there but it was worth it the drive. Excellent service since we arrive. The manager comes and talk with us. We test drive later my daughter decided for CX30. The finance process was easy and fast. End up finance a small amount $$ they advise putting in my daughter credit to help her build her credit and was a great suggestion. Finance guy I forgot his name was amazing too vey patience with us, he didn’t complain or demonstrate frustration due the late time (was almost 10pm) explain everything and suggested extending warranty without pushing. We add them anyway since is her 1st car. Car was ready and waiting for us at front with a big golden ribbon 🎀 so cute we took pictures and left. All the employees are amazing. I bought a BMW X5 1 month ago from another dealer and the customer service and experience was awful. Andre and all Passport team make our experience memorable with my daughter 1st car purchase. We definitely look to do more business with them in the future. Thank you for working with us during this difficult times and thank you for the amazing service. Military friendly dealer too! 😁

Its all happened with one phone call. I had contacted Passport Mazda couple of times, but there was no response from there end. I had been searching for CX5 for a month. All of sudden, Nathan called me and said we have couple of CX5s coming in month end. So I quickly booked the car with initial deposit amount on Tuesday and on Friday I get a call from Nathan saying your car has arrived. Immediately went to the showroom, signed all the documents and purchased the car. I should appreciate Nathan’s patience, he stayed back with us till the last minute and made sure all the work is completed without any hassle.
While picking up the car, Nathan made sure to explain each feature of the car in detail from exterior to interior. Thanks Nathan for such a wonderful experience. You are the best salesperson. If anyone wants to purchase car from Passport Mazda, please contact Nathan.

I can speak to the service side of the business. I brought my 2018 Mazda 3 in for the Android Auto/Apple Car Play installation and they returned the car to me four hours later without proofing their work. The Android Auto did not work and when I got home I noticed they didn't put the dash back together completely.
But they made it right. I brought the car back, they took their time, got everything working, and in the end did a great job I think. I'm very satisfied with the outcome and I think the dealership has learned from the experience as well.
Otherwise, their customer service is excellent and working with Jessica Rodriguez and Hunter Biggs at the service desk has been great.
The dealership is modern and clean and fairly quiet. I was able to telework for several hours. The staff is all friendly and strive to provide clients with great customer service. But as with all things during these tough Covid times, quality staff is in short supply and people are doing the best they can to manage workload.
I will continue to bring my Mazda here for service.

I want to give Nathaniel (Nate) a big shout out at Passport Mazda for giving us a fantastic experience purchasing a Certified Pre-Owned Car.
To start, Nate was persistent and responsive by email, but not in sell-y way, you know? He didn't bombard me like other dealers but rather he checked in and let me know he was there if I had any questions. When I did engage with him, he was a pleasure-- looking to make the process as easy as possible.
Eventually, I went in to test drive the car, but was on the fence trying to decide between two different vehicles or if I should keep shopping elsewhere. No problem for Nate, he spent so much time with me, test driving the cars with me-- and I didn't see him even look at a cell phone the entire time. He was totally present with me, which was huge.
I wanted a few cosmetic things changed on the car I was going to purchase. Again, no problem. Nate got the things done, ordered, and completed without a hiccup. He even got one of those big bows to put on the hood and took pictures of us with our phones. Yeah, we are those folks. Ha!
After we finished the paperwork, Nate spent almost an hour in and around the car with us showing us how every single thing worked, especially the infotainment system which has a learning curve if you've never been in a Mazda. Super helpful!
If I decide to upgrade or buy another car in the future, my first call would be to Nate at Passport. Great job and many thanks!

Love my new mazda suv! Jay initially introduced me to the line of mazda suvs and took me for my first test drive. Came back few days later with my wife, and Adrian helped make mazda one of our top choices. In the end, Adrian helped us decide in favor of this one over other contenders. Both of them offered tremendous service and were extremely knowledgeable about the vehicles. Adrian continues to offer support and answer any questions along the way. Total professionals! Tonya didn't pressure or call me for a quick decision on my CX-09. She listened and suggested rather than try to "sell" me. Tonya also helpfully suggested a different car than I intended and I'm very happy with with my Carbon edition. They have most the documentation digitally and it made for a smooth buying process. They gave me a price for my trade in that was much higher than a competing Bethesda dealer. This was a relatively painless process and I would use them again.

My salesman (Mark Bowers) did a fabulous job selling me my new 2022 Mazda CX-30. Originally. I was looking for a specific color, but decided to go with white after the color I wanted wasn’t available anywhere. Mark kept me informed about the dealership’s inventory without using high pressure tactics to try to force me to get a more expensive model. I had done my research beforehand and knew exactly what I wanted and what I was willing to pay. As a woman shopping for a car, I appreciate the salesman and the dealership (Passport Mazda) treating me with respect and offering me the absolute best price in the DMV area. Other dealerships wanted me to pay two to threes thousand dollars in additional “fees” alone that Passport Mazda wasn’t charging. Even though I came in near closing time and my purchase was completed after the dealership had closed, my salesman, Mark took the time to demonstrate features of my new car ( at night). I would definitely recommend Passport Mazda and my salesman, Mark Bowers to anyone searching for a new vehicle.

We spoke through email and then later by phone setting up an appointment for me to test-drive the 2019 Mazda CX-5. When I arrived, she had the one I was interested in ready for me to test drive. NOTE: Getting a good deal on a car is on you - no dealership is going to work to save you money. Do your research, contact lots of dealerships, know the TrueCar and invoice prices, compare quotes, look up the incentives, and WAIT until you find the right dealer, time, and vehicle. Also, always ask for the 'out the door' price - the lowest selling price can be a trick to rope you into complicated fees.
I contacted tons of dealers across a huge area using TrueCar. After comparing quotes, negotiating lower prices, checking average prices, and analyzing the latest incentives and deals, I ended up here for ONE REASON: they gave me the lowest price. Many other dealers declared they would "match any price" but ended up telling me "oh not that price...that price is too low", which is ridiculous and kind of ticked me off. I didn't have to jump through any hoops at Passport and I never felt like they were trying to swindle me out of my money (although they still want your money - it's not a charity).
Not only that, the salespeople I dealt with answered all my questions and were extremely patient, despite my irritation persistence and attention to detail. The financing woman was hugely helpful and gave me real-life advice about my loan rather than abusing my inexperience for profit. They've also been responsive after the sale about a slight chip in my taillight, which they offered to replace this week.
I walked in knowing the price I would pay (which was way below all the other dealers), signed the forms, and drove off in the exact vehicle I wanted. I couldn't be happier.

There was a long wait before my vehicle was ready, but I can say that the vehicle seemed fine and I was very satisfied with the service. We had a great experience at Passport Mazda. We were greeted with a smile and our sales rep Jay was enthusiastic and great to talk to. It was very welcoming, clean, comfortable, and the dealership has a very sleek and modern look to it. A lot of natural light coming in, especially when you’re shopping for a new car. It’s one of the nicest dealerships we’ve ever been to, and I’ve gone to a few over the years. My Mother and I went in before Hurricane Ida came through, and our sales rep Jay was helpful and kind to us, saying he’ll try to get us out before the storm hits. Everyone was super polite. Rafael came by to talk and get to discuss cars a bit. He was amazing and responded to any questions or concerns I had, also helped answer any questions we had before arriving at the dealership and leaving it. He offered for me to reach out with any questions I had after we’ve purchased the vehicle. Richard was also wonderful as our finance guy, not aggressive or pretentious like some others I have met at other dealerships.
Overall, Passport Mazda was a great and memorable experience for me. Everyone treated us respectfully, not pushy, they made the car-buying process and trade so comforting. This was the first time I’ve waited to have my car serviced as we moved and it’s over an hour drive to get to the dealership. LOVE THIS LOCATION!! I've been going here for a few years now - for servicing my previous mazda, and recently taking advantage of the amazing 0% APR for 60 months deal. Carlos helped me with the process of getting my new car and he was such a a joy to work with. I usually get really turned off by salespeople, but he felt genuine and helpful. Richard, the finance guy helped with all the paperwork and he was also amazing. They made a stressful situation the best it could have been. I recently bought a new Mazda CX-3 at Passport. The staff is very accommodating and helpful. They gave me a great deal and stayed past closing to get me out the door with my car that day. My salesperson was not pushy and very patient while I test drove a few different cars. Sales people show situational awareness by restraining themselves from "jumping on the customer" before they can come through the threshold and absorb the space. Carlos was pleasant to me with during the entire process, he had a good sense of humor and allowed be to control the pace of the acquisition. He answered all questions honestly and if he didn't know the answer to a question he didn't attempt to fumble his way through, instead he simply stated he did not know, but would find out, instead of relaying false information (I LIKE THAT IN A SALESPERSON). I interacted with Andrew in Finance and had a great experience with him as well, where he helped me finance at a lower interest rate that was offered by my financial institution. Andrew was very professional and genuine and we shared many laughs. Paula who completed the contract/process was very helpful, professional and honest when rendering her assessment of Gap Insurance and why customers should have it. I appreciated her resolve on this subject, which affected me enough to purchase it. If Passport Mazda bills themselves as family oriented than mission accomplished. Additionally whenever I am in the building the sales Team who recognize me always offer help, though I may me there for service. I honestly love the entire experience I have had with all three cars I have purchased form this dealership. Like my USAA Account, I am a Passport Mazda customer for life (as long as we can continue the relationship we currently have). Honorable Mentions: Richard and Mark who assisted my wife and I with the first two cars, and it should be noted that if Mark were present, he would have been the sale person to sell me this car (no offense Carlos....me and Mark just have more history).

We spread out our search a bit and discovered that Passport Mazda in Suitland, MD had an inventory that blew us away. Excellent car buying experience! They came to the gate with a great offer and were never pushy, as you'd expect with stereotypical car salesmen. During the negotiation process they were very professional and transparent with their offers and stances. When we went to the dealership, we had our infant with us, which can be scary during covid-19. They were very understanding and accommodating and we had our own, distanced, area where we were able to sit away from everyone while the finalizing of the deal was being processed. The people at Passport Mazda are great! I bought a used car from them about a month ago and received the best service. They went above and beyond to make sure my experience was excellent. I would describe this dealership as very non-traditional. They make you feel comfortable when negotiating pricing instead of intimidating like most other dealerships. In particular , Rafael (online sales) has stayed in contact with me and continues to provide great customer service. The general manager was also very involved during my time there to make sure everything went smoothly. For example, my used car was only traded in with one key. Before I even asked, he offered to buy a second key and fill up my gas tank when I come by to do it for the inconvenience! They also all stayed 2+ hours after their closing time to make sure I drove away with everything I needed. You will not be disappointed if you buy a car from these guys.

I bought a 2017 Mazda CX-5 from Passport in December 2017 when I was a recent graduate looking for a first car. This was the first dealership I visited, and I worked with Tonya Mickey. I was probably a very annoying customer but I wanted to shop around first before settling. I went through Ourisman, Koons, and a few other dealerships before returning. One of the aforementioned dealers wanted to get a quick sale out of me and kept asking me "why won't you buy today, are you scared of something?" and started talking prices while I was still doing the test drive. Another also artificially lowered the cited price by applying all discounts. I made sure to place my purchase with Tonya at Passport because she was the most kind, patient, and transparent salesperson I worked with, and at the end of the day, if I'm going to buy a $25,000 car, you can bet that I will be doing business with the people that treat me with consideration and respect--or you will not get my business.
I have had my car serviced here pretty regularly ever since and they are very transparent and reasonable. Today I had to have an additional part fixed on my vehicle and I worked with Chelsea. Best service coordinator I have ever worked with--constantly provided me updates, explained why the part did and why it needed work, and when it extended my stay by another hour, offered to order lunch for me. I really recommend the service and sales at this dealership as they are way better than the other sleazy Mazda dealers in the area. They've definitely earned my loyalty.

Decent enough spot and the salesperson was OK, though the spot wasn't very welcoming overall. One thing that stood out - apparently due to thefts I couldn't even test drive the Mazda with the key even though they had a copy of my drivers license and had much of my other personal information. (Test drove the car by myself without the key.) Didn't seem like the best way to sell a car - ended up buying the same car with another dealer the next day who was much more welcoming (and actually let me take the key with me on the test drive)! The prices there weren't bad but will be hesitant to go back there in the future given the lack of trust for a simple 10 minute test drive.

Gettin an oil change and had an appointment for 1230, got here approximately 1236, was told 90 minutes, it's 1644 now, also known as 4:44pm and I just got the car. This is ridiculous. I hate to think how long I'd be here if I didn't have an appointment. Probably have to leave the car overnight. Post office closes at 5. Really thought I'd make it by 5

Unlike at Silver Spring where the service manager acted annoyed that I was not willing to just sit around for 4 hours for a basic service. I had to call Mazda corporate to receive the response I should have received at the dealership. Thanks to the employees at Passport Mazda. You've restored my confidence in the Mazda brand. We had a wonderful experience with both sales and service at Passport Mazda. We knew what car we wanted from the start and I contacted 10 Maryland Dealers. Passport got back to me quickly with a highly competitive price out the gate, no gimmicks. We decided to go with them because of their transparency, upfront offer, and willingness to beat any competitor.
Day of, our sales rep Carlos spent hours with us testing every button and feature. The Manager, Courtney checked in on us through the process. Valerie in finance was patient and communicative during purchasing. When we discovered two days in that the car had a problem with the navigation, Jennifer and Candi in servicing helped out and our sales rep Carlos even drove our serviced car to DC so we didn't have to take time off work to pick it up. Their updated dealership makes waiting for servicing less painful.

I have been to many other dealerships in the Waldorf / Southern Maryland area and this is by far the best experience I have ever had purchasing a vehicle. Period. The staff were welcoming and attentive as soon as I walked in the door; everyone in a "Passport" polo took the time to stop and ask if I had been helped or if they could be of any help.

It was honestly one of the best customer buying experience my wife and I had PERIOD. Prior to committing to buying the Mazda CX9 Grand Touring, we visited two other dealerships and the experience was horrible. We visited the Mazda dealership first, we loved the service and the car, but had to do our due diligence by checking out what the competition had to also offer. Sadly we did not feel welcomed at both dealerships. One dealership was kind enough to take us for a test drive, but when it came down to explaining different options and understanding more about the vehicle and purchase, they had little patients for us. Originally had an appointment for the MD state inspection last Saturday, 10 April 2021. Came in the office, and was told they only do the state inspection on Tuesday to Thursday. The employee (Jessica Rodriguez), explained it to me and she tried to get me seen next door (Nissan), but she can't give me a time of when my car would be done. So in the end, she help me reschedule and ensure that I will have a loaner car when I come to my appointment.
The new appointment was yesterday, Tuesday. And she definitely got me squared away. Will come back here. The only thing I recommend, is to block the day for specific appointment if it's not available on a specific days. Aside from that, it was a smooth process

I am a repeat Mazda customer. I've leased two Mazda CX-5s over the past 6 years, so I knew exactly what car I wanted, and I knew what I wanted my lease payments to be. I was trying to work with five Mazda dealers in the area to get a quote over e-mail, but none of them would give me a quote - they'd just say, "Yeah, my manager says we can work with you! When can you come in?" even though I'd specifically told them I'm a single working mom with very little time to spend in dealerships.
Just as I had reached peak frustration, Passport Mazda e-mailed me out of the blue, and I ended up working with Kim Lewis over e-mail. Over a series of e-mails, she gave me no-nonsense quotes that included all costs, and through negotiation, she got down to a lease payment that I thought was great -- it was so great, I was compelled to make the drive to Suitland, MD.
The dealership is very easy to get to, and the building is very new and nice. Once there, I worked with Rafael Perez to close the deal. He honored the price given to me by Kim, and he respected the fact that I'm an experienced Mazda buyer who already knew what I wanted. He didn't try to keep me there longer than I needed to be. He was willing to skip the test drive, but then went along for a very brief test drive so I could get a feel for the 2018 model. He was very knowledgeable about the features of the car, but was upfront about admitting when he didn't know the answer to a question offhand. I found him to be straightforward and very respectful of me as a customer. And without employing any pressure, he helped direct me the right trim level and color, and I'm now extremely happy with the choices I he helped me make.
I would recommend buying a car through Passport Mazda to anyone. This was a great buying experience all around.

I recently purchased a vehicle from Passport Mazda. My previous vehicle was a Mini roadster that I had purchased from Passport Mini. From sales through service it had been such an enduring success with Passport Mini that once I decided to replace the Mini with a Mazda3 I again turned to Passport. To date (and unsurprisingly), clearly I made the right choice. First off, let me say that I love my AWD Mazda3 with the premium package. I did my due diligence and settled on a Mazda3 over the other AWD offerings by other car manufacturers. Once I had made that choice, I was gratified to find that not only did my prioritized dealership, Passport Mazda, have a solid inventory to choose from, but was also price competitive. In fact, lucky me, they had the best pricing options in the larger DMV area. Since we were still under social distancing concerns, I was also gratified to see that Passport Mazda had an entire protocol and process for test-driving and purchasing cars that would allow me to remain safely at home. Thereafter it was merely a matter of identifying my preferred car and initiating the process through their sales department. I worked primarily with Rafael Perez at the front end and Richard Taylor at the back end. Both were extremely courteous, patient and thorough. The process went so incredibly smoothly and without any difficulties. In particular, I do want to give special propers to Rafael who brought out the car for me to test drive and to finalize the paperwork. In addition to what I just noted, Rafael was uber attentive, accommodating and respectful. At no point did I ever feel pressured, or a mere sales target for him to capture. He always gave me his full attention and was continually available to address all of my questions before, during and after the sale. In fact, I requested some additional accessories for the car after the purchase and without hesitation Rafael made that a priority of his to get those added and installed - again without me having to exert additional effort beyond the purchase. The service department did the installation and I was pleased to see that Passport Mazda's service department is also very attentive and communicative. I feel very confident that I'll once again benefit from the full spectrum of support that Passport provides. I can't be any happier. Thanks, Passport Mazda!

He answered my questions concerning stock, and my trade-in - we and set up an appointment. After meeting, he saw that I had worked with Mark Bowers in the past and asked if I would like to work with him - I said of course! (I bought my 2015 CX-5 and he made the purchase a pure pleasure).

Mark is energetic and knowledgeable in all things Mazda. Since I had worked with him in the past the whole sales process was a breeze. I knew what I wanted and what I wanted to pay. After two test drives I knew what model I wanted - Mark made it happen - I never felt he was pressuring me - we moved to the next step, finance.
Richard in Finance is Great:
Richard provided me with plenty of finance options, offering me competitive rates, not only through Mazda, but other banks and credit unions (who would have thought?!) - while I ultimately decided to go with my credit union for convenience purchases, he was not only meet their rate, but beat it.
Richard also let me know about the different warranty options. Like Mark, I never felt pressured. I got a good deal on an extended warranty that covers small bumps/dings - thanks Richard!

Jay in Sales was great. Down to earth, no pressure. I bought the car a week ago and that part of the process was fine. At the time of the sale, Jay informed me there’s two parts on the car that are being replaced and that he’ll follow up in a couple days to schedule an appointment to come in and have them installed. As promised. I was called a couple days later and set an appointment. I came in to have the parts installed expecting the stellar service I had received from Jay in Sales. Neither the guy at the desk nor the sales manager seemed to know about my appointment or the car I purchased. They took my keys and I waited around for about 30 mins while they supposedly serviced the car. Sales manager came back and told me they ordered the wrong parts and tried to play it off. I told him this is really irritating but this was treated like “sorry but oops, oh well.” Thanks to the unorganized Service Dept, I drove 40 mins there, waited for 30 mins, and get to drive 40 mins home for nothing.

I took my vehicle back the following week to have the parts installed. Matthew The Service Dept Manager was very curt and it was clear rectifying the 1st experience was nowhere on his agenda. However, Andrew Bowns (Sales Manager) stepped in to oversee the process. Andrew is very professional and down to earth. He made it clear he’s seeking to expedite the installation and that they care about turning this around. Beyond his professional demeanor, I appreciated that he’s personable and communicates well. The Sales team here at Passport Mazda is excellent. I am thankful Andrew took over and trust the installation is now in capable hands.

This place did their best to get me approved for the car that I want! So story time, I don't have good credit due to past mistakes, I've been working on rebuilding it (not easy), and I've been applying everywhere, even my own bank who knows I could make the payments and pay my bills on time, denied me! So I was on my way to (hopefully) get a car to "settle" for (definitely not a desirable car), and I got suddenly got a call from passport mazda telling me I was approved for the car I wanted! Super excited, immediately changed directions to the dealership, the staff were SUPER friendly, super helpful, very informative, and best of all, we shared laughs through out the entire process (while enjoying complementary food and beverages). If i could give this place 10 stars I would! Also, side note, due to covid19 there was only one finance guy working that day (bless that man) so we had to wait a bit for his availability, even though we were completely understanding, the general manager came over, apologized and gave his condolences, and said he would take 100 dollars off the price tag! Buying a car, thats not much in many peoples eyes, but I was okay with waiting and any money is better than none, so to me this was beyond generous, he didn't have to do anything (we're in hard times right now) but he did! She got my paperwork started immediately and my car was serviced before my appointment. I went into Passport Mazda on a Saturday( 04/14/18) evening just as they were closing. I never knew that they were closing because my husband and I were greeted by Tonya Mickey allthough it was time for her to get off she still took the time to help us in any way that she could. Tonya was very courteous and cordial she then introduced us to her Sales Manager Slevenko this guy was so full of car buying knowledge that it was unreal he sat myself and my husband and explained the process of leasing a vehicle and how to understand this experience. He was so thourough that we felt like we were in school getting a lesson. Yes we have all read the reviews claiming this dealer or that dealer is the best. But if you are after a Mazda near Washington DC, you don't need to look anywhere else. This is the most pleasant, professional, honest, price competitive, go the extra mile dealership you will find.
The biggest reason that initially attracted me was the online price as I was on a limited budget and their upfront quote was very competitive and with no hidden extras. Most other dealers had hidden costs which were only revealed by digging deeper and prying it out of them. Other dealer's Internet pricing was misleading unless you read the very small fine print if it was there at all. Passport were very upfront will all theirs and other Govt costs.
I am an engineer and very thorough in seeking out the best deal. My choice was between a new Ford Focus, Hyundai Elantra, and Mazda 3. I ended up with a Mazda 3 Sport from Passport despite thinking I could not afford a new one as I was paying cash on a limited budget. I contacted most surrounding dealers for pricing and availability and visited some of their showrooms. Most other dealers i visited were not all that knowledgeable on their vehicles. Richard had a very good knowledge of all the features of the Mazda and spent a lot of time with me but never did I feel under pressure or obligation. He even got a tape measure out for me when I wanted to know how long the cargo area was.
After we agreed a price, they still went the extra mile ensuring all the paperwork was in order and I could drive it away that day, even though it was already well past closing time.

Here’s how the purchase went. I did my research and submitted a Truecar quote. I test drove the model at a dealership close to my home. The next day I received responses from three dealers on pricing. In addition to a final quote on a monthly lease payment, I responded back to them with the exact information I needed to make my lease purchase decision. Passport’s quote was the lowest. After another dealer offered a competing bid, Passport beat it. Since the Passport dealership is not convenient to where I live in Arlington, I asked whether they’d be willing to deliver the car to my home and whether I could take care of the paperwork over the phone. They readily agreed. Meanwhile two other Virginia dealers sent me bids that were higher than Passport’s final bid. One of the dealers tried to plant a seed of doubt saying that the MD dealers lure VA buyers into their dealerships with low pricing only to jack the price up just before completing the deal. Not so at Passport. I received all the documentation via email prior to delivery. In a quick conversation over the telephone and by email, the salesperson made painstakingly sure I understood the final terms of the lease deal when I had questions. Two of the nicest guys ferried the car to my house. I test drove it, they went through the new owner’s checklist with me, I signed the papers and was done.

Just recently purchased a 2019 CX-5 Grand Touring. I had to trade-in a Grand Touring (with GT package) for a Grand Touring without the package because of an admin issue, as I am shipping the vehicle overseas. The issue had to do with the "assessed value" of the vehicle from the foreign government in the country I am shipping the vehicle to -- which is a totally arbitrary restriction. The issue had nothing to do with the quality of the vehicle whatsoever, and was neither mine, nor the dealership's fault.
After clarifying what the issue was, General Manager Slavenko and Sales Rep Tonya Mickey worked with me to ensure I got another 2019 CX-5 with nearly identical features (I just had to downgrade my package slightly to make sure the new value was a fair price) and in the same color and interior as my original vehicle. The finance department (Richard) also worked with me to ensure that all figures on all documents were correct and fulfilled the foreign government's import requirements. Overall, I was left with a highly satisfactory vehicle, and despite the stress of buying a new vehicle, I ultimately now confirm that there's actually dealerships out there who care about customers and ensuring their loyalty. I certainly recommend this dealership to any and all, and will look to them first when purchasing another vehicle in the future!

This is a beautiful modern, new dealership that follows Mazda’s new Kodo design philosophy. I didn’t buy my Mazda MX-5 RF here since they didn’t have stock but I have chosen to get my car serviced here for now on given the 5 star service I received here! Mario at the service department was excellent! I was constantly updated and the waiting area had snacks, coffee/tea, a bottled water for those waiting in comfortable couches, tables, work stations. This felt like I was in a luxury car dealership. I highly recommend Mazda owners in the DMV area to get their Mazda’s serviced here! These folks are very professional in their dealings with you, both in person and through texts, etc. Arranged two Lyfts for me at no charge, gave me a free t-shirt, did the work in an orderly and timely fashion. Of course, repairs cost a bundle wherever you go, but they did honor a substantial discount coupon from their website. Make sure you do some research on things like that, and persevere to get any discount you can.
Comfortable waiting room if you need to stick around--coffee, snacks, TV etc.
All in all, a good experience. I'd certainly use them again for any major service (I had to have new brakes and A/C work done in the midst of a trip away from home.)

Using the USAA car buying tool, I was pointed to another dealer for the greatest guaranteed deal. The email from Passport, however, then listed the USAA guaranteed price, and countered that with an even better offer. Shopping around further, no one could beat it, and had some less than satisfactory experiences at Priority. In the end the associates at Passport where calm, level headed, and even found additional rebates I qualified for, driving the price down further than their initial offer. They went the extra mile and transferred the exact car to my specifications on the same day.
Finance department was open and honest about strategies and options to lower rates down the road.

Revising my review and dropping it down to three stars: please don't try to use the coupons on the website. They do not honor what the coupon says. It list a bunch of sevices, but the people at the front desk will not honor it. They advised my manager told me that "it only applies to the oil change" even though it list the services in the coupon description.
Went here to get my inspection done, yes I could've gone somewhere cheaper, but I prefer the mazda dealership to work on my CX5. On the day that I arrive for my appointment I was told that they couldn't do the inspection because the inspector called out sick. I was a little upset because I had not been notified of this and would not have wasted my time making the trip. As I get ready to leave an employee stopped me, told me sorry for the wait and we will be right with you. I responded to him by stating what the service desk employee told me. The employee said don't worry about it I'm the manager and we will get your vehicle inspection done today. He told me to follow him and he will set everything up. I always hate going into car dealerships because I'm afraid they are going to tell me something bad lol, but he was awesome unfortunately I suck at remembering names, but I am truly thankful to him for assisting me.

Prior to coming to Passport Mazda I had a bad experience at a dealership to where the sales associates including the general manager of the dealership were extremely rude.
It left me not wanting to go to another dealership which I haven't had a car in 2 years because of this experience. On the search to find another car I came across Passport Mazda.
When I walked thru the door Richard greeted me with an amazing smile and asked how he could help me. Richard,Toya,Robert and Quartrina all helped me thru the process. Special thank you to Quartrina and Robert for their help for answering all of my questions and getting me into the car of my dreams. Thank you to Quartrina for taking the time to sit with me to go over all the operations and controls of the vehicle . I have told people who are looking to get a new vehicle to come out to Passport Mazda .

On our way home from the DC Auto show on Saturday 3rd of Feb 2018, Tanyika Proctor was our sales person and she she did a bang up job, outstanding. Mrs Proctor was our salesperson that met us after our friend Angie had decided, at the Auto show, she wanted a Mazda CX-5. We gave Mrs Proctor a specific price point and immediately she provided us with two vehicles that met those requirements. This made it quick for my friend to make her choice. Finally setting on the Red (Burgundy CX-5 Sport) When it was all said and done it took less than three hours to purchase the vehicle. Not too bad for a Saturday evening. - 2.5 hours for service even with an appointment

Pretty straightforward service, with no extra bells or whistles. Check their website for service coupons. With 14 Mazda dealerships in the DMV area, I'll probably schedule my next service appointment somewhere closer to my home.

PDI was not the best, knocking one star off for me - there was white plastic with padding underneath still stuck to the grill after delivery, and the interior, clear plastic film was all over as well, and the wash was just superficial, with some dirt and spots left over. These are minor quibbles, but it would have been nicer, of course, to have a cleaner and "wrap" free delivery. Because some of these were missed, it made me wonder if anything else was missed or skipped during PDI.
I want to add, however, that my sales rep was fantastic, patient, and very nice - highly recommended. Her name is Tonya Mickey. The sales manager was great to work with as well, Slavenko, I believe. The finance experience was also great. I'll likely get both my Mazdas serviced here from now on as well.

So my original review was a 5 star, but what changed my mind was the lack of disclosure of a lease transfer issue. Passport didn't disclose to me that you are not allowed to transfer a lease with Chase financial. The lease trader operation is not an option. BMW, Mercedes and Mini all allow it.
