TLDR: Use Koons Falls Church Ford and Jocelyn for all your car buying needs! Buying a car is an absolute nightmare in this day and age. Between chip delays, delivery driver shortages, and greediness, you need to be extremely cautious who you trust with the car buying experience. That said, I am so fortunate to have put my trust in Koons, specifically, Jocelyn, Ruth, Mike G, and GM Ali. While a turbulent 6 months, everyone at Koons was extremely communicative, responsive to my concerns, and beyond patient with my impatience. By a blessing from above, my vehicle was delivered to Koons 24 hours before I needed it for a move and Jocelyn and Mike G were able to get everything ready for me to take delivery within 8 hours of it landing on the lot. I will be working with Jocelyn and the rest of the Koons staff for years to come. See the picture of my 2022 First Edition Rapid Red Maverick (With Mike!) I've purchased 2 new Fords from the Koons dealership group. The first in Baltimore, and this time at the Falls Church location. My first purchase with them was in April 2016, a new Mustang GT. I flew all the way from Florida because their price couldn't be beat by local dealers. No BS, easy transaction. Fast forward to December 2022. They had an Explorer ST dealer order in the perfect Stone Blue color and a great price that again, couldn't be beat by Florida dealers. Jamisha was my first contact and she was great getting things going. The Ford plant took a while to get it in transit, but that's been common over the past couple years with parts shortages and such. Not the fault of Koons at all. I brought the Mustang back north on the auto train and got a fair trade in value before I arrived. While they do try to upsell for extended warranty and ceramic, they don't hit you over the head with it like some dealers I've dealt with. Their dealer fee is pretty standard and in line with the averages that I found. But that dealer fee was the only tack on other than the standard registration fees and taxes. The new vehicle price? I'll just say it was under MSRP and made it worth the 900 mile trip! Coming from out of state, it can be stressful but the pricing and process was transparent before I left for VA. I signed my financing docs electronically and everything lined up before I loaded the trade on the train. Arrival at the dealer was easy going. Serdar greeted me and helped me get acquainted with the new ride. Mert, my sales guy, made sure to check to see if we had private cash from Ford before signing docs and saved us another $1,250. Milek, the closing finance guy had me out of there in less than an hour. Their docs are mostly electronic with a fancy desk tablet like out of Star Trek. Nothing was hidden, everything was explained, and no pressure to pay for the extras I didn't want/need for now. Good job, guys. I'll always make sure to shop Koons no matter what state I'm in, and highly recommend anyone looking for a new Ford to consider them in your search. The Koons team should provide a master class to Florida dealers in how to conduct business!

I recently purchased my 2020 BMW M550i from this dealership. I tell you from 1pm until 7pm service was amazing . My guy Anwar Mohamed was the 1st person helped me out he is the gentlemen in the picture he was amazing from start to finish kept everything straight and transparent with me exceptional sales guy I highly recommend ! This dealership was great staff and finance department was amazing as well . It was a few issues with the car and these guys didn’t hesitant not 1 bit to correct these issues . I had a great experience at Koon’s with Colin. I walked in, no appointment, for a test ride on a few vehicles and walked away with a new Ford Bronco. I’m super happy with the purchase, Colon was extremely knowledgable about the car features I was looking at in the different trim levels and how the different models I was considering compared to each other. I felt a little pressure on the warranty/finance portion of the deal but did not have to push back too hard on that (they are just doing their jobs!) and ultimately walked away with a great car, good financing and I will definitely be back to the dealership for any future needs.

We liked our overall experience here. Our salesperson was polite and didn't try to force anything on us. We were able to tell him what we wanted, and he pulled several vehicles that fit our needs. We took a test drive and bought our vehicle that day. The only part of the process that was a little irritating, was when the finance individual kept trying to sell us the top of the line vehicle warranty package. I get the benefits of such a plan, but I also understand that with some of the package I am paying for "what if", which might not ever happen during the warranty cycle. We said what we wanted our payment to be, and were presented with options that would have taken our payment over that amount. It took awhile for him to understand that we were not going to exceed that amount. He finally went back and worked on the numbers to get a the middle of the road package to fit into our payment plan. Other than that, the finance person was fine. Overall, we would come back here and buy another vehicle.

I would like to commend John Bean from the customer service team at the car service at Koons Ford of Falls Church. He provided excellent customer service, gave me his email and number and kept constant communication during both days that I brought the car for service. This is quite a change compared to a few months ago when I was left completely in the dark and had to tow the car twice within days without knowing who was following up, or what was the situation. My Ford was purchased new at Koons, it is still practically new and all its services were done only at Koons. Had a splendid visit here with Daniel and his other colleagues, they were all very nice and really did their best with pricing. There was one thing that stopped me from giving them 5 stars which was their employee Gail, when I arrived she was standing outside talking to a colleague and completely ignored me but once I went inside looking for a sales person she all of a sudden wanted to talk and ask if I needed help, when she could have asked me when I was outside looking for someone to ask them about their vehicles. I’ve been to Koons Ford several times now, once for a fairly serious part replacement and then for routine maintenance. The service writers have been nice and understanding and the cashiers desk personnel are helpful and just generally very nice. For my more serious issue, the mechanic went out on a test drive with me and had the issue diagnosed within a day (this issue had been causing problems for months with limited help from any other mechanics - I wish I could remember his name) and had my car back to me within 24 hours. Most recently, Robert and Tabitha helped me get scheduled and taken care of with my car back to me the same day for some general maintenance. Can’t recommend Koons enough!

I ordered a '22 model car online 6 months ago and had to "assign" the purchase to a dealer for paperwork and delivery purposes. I selected Koons Falls Church because of proximity. Because of manufacturing issues (supply chain, chip shortage, etc), Ford corporate wasn't able to get my car into production before they made the change to the '23 models. I found out through the internet that all '22 orders would be converted to '23s. Naturally, the price of '23s are higher, and some of the functions within the car model changed, but with no information coming from Ford Corporate, I reached out to Ford Falls Church and was connected with Ruth, who is an Ordering Manager for Ford Fall Church. Simply put, she killed it. She admitted even the information they were getting from Ford Corporate was sparse and didn't answer every question people like me had, but she was INCREDIBLY helpful and patient, and together we worked through how this '22-to-'23 model conversion would impact me. I wanted to make some changes (since several features of the '22 model didn't make it to the same '23 model) and she did some digging to try and find some answers for me. She kept me apprised of any answers she received for questions she had to research throughout the day and made this confusing process incredibly comfortable, accommodating, and informative. Even though Ruth isn't in a boots-on-the-ground position and likely only deals with orders, if do end up in her lane, rest assured you're in very helpful and capable hands. I would work with Ford Falls Church again, simply because of Ruth and how she took on my unusual situation. Thanks again Ruth!

Recently my family and I moved out of the Northern Virginia area and into Delaware. For the last 10 years I've been driving a mini-van and I was ready to get a something new and fun. I was very pleased with how the staff treated me. Curtis, the salesperson I was given was polite and patient. I hadn't used such a modern vehicle before so I didn't expect the newer features, like the parking break being a little switch, or the gear shift being a dial. Both the salesperson and Haneen, the financial agent (Is that the right job title?), were really considerate with my needs. They were persistent in getting me to buy certain features and financing. That isn't something I fault them for, or something I'm putting as a negative though. They're trying to make a living just like the rest of us. It was a valuable experience to know in what ways I was prepared and what ways I could improve the next time I purchase a car. They didn't make me feel pressured, didn't try to frame the sale as though I was minutes away from missing out on a choice, which I'm glad for. I wouldn't recommend purchasing a car from this dealership to anyone A month ago I came in to look at cars on the main lot and the sales people brushed me off and were rude Because I wasn't intending to buy a car that day, they questioned me why I wanted a 4 cylinder car instead of a 3, which they had on the lot at the time and they wanted to push on me, when I said no they stopped caring who was helping me. I never intended to go back to that dealership and would give it 0 stars. I did not realize the koons used car outlet is related to this koons ford dealership. Brendan and Alex in the used lot are very kind and were helpful in the process. When I went to finance I was given to Dean, that night I put money down and told him I would come back tomorrow to either pay it outright with a check or a loan but I wanted to speak to my finance guy. That night my father was with me. The next day when I went -alone- Dean turned into a manipulative, lying, rude, and nasty man. When I came in the next day with money and financing from my bank he was not happy because that's not what we "agreed" on. Which I had no obligation to go with his loan. He said I was NOT allowed to do this and that if my check/loan bounced that he would push through the Wells Fargo loan, without notifying me. He was angry the whole time and continued to say that he was doing me a HUGE favor and nowhere else would do this. He also pretended to not know how to fill out the personal loan check. All the paperwork he rushed me through and didn't want to explain and at that point I was so sick of him I just wanted to get out of there. He also did not even offer me gap insurance. After he finished his demeanor completely shifted and he was kind to me and was telling me how smart I was. The whole situation felt incredibly sexist because his demeanor and attitude. I will be reporting dean to the CFBB.

I even visited the Koons multiple time and multiple times finance person refused to meet and one time Mr Tony finally decided to talk but lied that it will be done as all I need to do reply to the email which I never got. Then again I had to call 20 times to finally get the attention but now I am dealing with the same with another person named Brittney Reed who never picks up the call not even has the courtesy to reply to my email or voicemail. I don't live in Virginia anymore which is making it more difficult. Horrible experience the moment after they sell their car. Hands down, best car buying experience ever!! Normally you go to a car dealership and they push you to buy the car and even when you buy the car you don't really have a good buying experience. Mr. Pouya was amazing the entire time, even before I made the decision he cared more about my experience then just selling the car. Before the test drive he went into explaining the features of the car in detail as well. He definitely showed up like he takes pride in his work and cared more my about my experience there then just selling me something. When I thought it's just him, finance person Mr. Tony surprised me as well with his time and explanation on various finance options. However, be wary when buying a used vehicle from Koons Ford Falls Church of the servicing on the vehicle. During my test drive, I asked about the used vehicle intake process and was assured that all vehicles go through the service department and are thoroughly inspected. I know from my new to me vehicle's CarFax that it came from out of state, so the recent VA state safety inspection had to be completed by Koons Ford Falls Church. Given the assurance, I failed to do a thorough walk around of the vehicle (I own that mistake) and after getting it home realized that the back tires were worn all the way down to the wear bars (see pictures attached). Basically no tread left on the tires and the 30 day dealer warranty does not cover tires, so I bought a two year old vehicle and in a week of ownership have had to spend $1100 on new tires and alignment. The sales team was excellent, but again be wary on used vehicles and do a thorough check either on your own or have a trusted mechanic look over the vehicle. Don't rely on the dealership's service department or guarantee of a new safety inspection sticker.

The short: I am giving 4 stars because the GM (Ali) did resolve and try to make things right once it got escalated to him. With that said, I do want to share my experience: We went in on a Saturday, test drove a car we wanted only to find out it had sold but no one bothered to update it in the system. A bummer but we let it go because we know things are crazy right now and gave them the benefit of the doubt that they are doing their best. Our salesmen was quick to "fix it" and said no worries, I have the exact same car arriving next weekend. Fine with us because it was actually in our first color choice. The whole process at the dealership was very slow but again, I let that go because they were very busy. However, fast forward, it ends up being an entire wasted Saturday because on Sunday we realized they sold us the WRONG CAR!!!! Now, I do believe this was an honest mistake but with that said, it was THEIR mistake and they still handled everything moving forward very poorly. The next few days was just playing chase with our salesman and then he basically just told me to contact his manager if I wanted more help. Didn't even bother to give me his manager's contact info. Once I found out how to get in contact with his manager, he was helpful until he wasn't. I recognize not everything was in their control but the least they can do is communicate with me. I shouldn't have to babysit anyone I am paying this amount of money to. I gave him 48 hours to try to source us a new car and they could not find anything. That was fine but after that, I asked to cancel the deal. I couldn't wait around any longer. (FYI - WITHIN AN HOUR OF CANCELING THE DEAL, I HAD PURCHASED ANOTHER CAR - EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED AT A BETTER PRICE THAN KOONS.) Now, the manager at Koons assured me the down payment refund was done and I should see it in 3-5 biz days. No problem but usually my bank is really quick so after 5 business days, I became suspicious. I called my bank and there was NO pending refund from Koons so I had to start a claims dispute process. At this point, everyone at Koons started ghosting me when I reached out questioning if the refund had actually gone through. I kept trying to escalate the issue within Koons though and LUCKILY I eventually got in touch with the GM (Ali) and he got it straight for me within a few hours. They refunded and it showed up in my bank within hours.

The Falls Church location seems to always evolve for the better, I've been taking my vehicle back for service for nearly 5yrs, this was the first time a service manager interaction without angst, very please took the time to discovered the parts I paid for 2months ago, yet taking aback that I didn't receive a call the part/items were in, and no discount was extended for the labor due to previous service advisor poor status update and mishandling, considering the item required full prior to ordering.

TLDR: Average Dealership Experience, nothing good nor terrible. 8/5/2022: Emissions test & Tire pressure correction Called the day before, was told to bring my vehicle in and it would be serviced in the order it was received. Came in at 6:25, walked in the door at 6:30 being 3rd in line. Estimate wait was 45-60 minutes. At the 60 minute mark I asked my service advisor for a status and was notified that emissions tests have yet to get to todays vehicles and it would be at least another hour. Techs were currently working on holdovers from yesterday. I made the assumption that all emissions tests from yesterday would of been done since its a non-schedulable service and those customers who came in today would be seen as soon as the day started to allow those customers to plan around such. TLDR: I feel either better procedures, customer communication or allowing the scheduling of emissions tests would result in a better customer experience. Oh yeah, they also don't honor vehicle warranty, but that's another story, had to take it to a different dealership to have variable exhaust fixed under warranty.

I bring my mothers 2019 Ford Escape here for her routine maintenance, and only one issue to date. Recently the forward collision and cruise control was not working. I reached out to our WONDERFUL advisor Luis, he was able to get us an appointment right away. As usual the repair was made in a timely manner, a part needed to be ordered that took two days, Luis was great at keeping us up to date on the status and got everything done promptly.
