He brought honesty, patience, and professionalism to the experience and I cannot thank him enough. He leveled with me from the get go and set an appropriate expectation which is something I have grown to expect in a new car purchase. The sales manager, Chris, was absolutely amazing, as well, and I really thank him for his work on my deal. Thank you, Fred! Great experience from start to finish! The only drawback is the “special pricing” disclaimer that says you must finance with the dealership to get that low price. I had secured my own financing that they could not beat so Fred took care of me! I will be calling him when it is time to get my wife a new car.

Bought a 2019 GTI from Alexandria VW and am super happy with the product and salesmanship that Ms. Maria provided she was very accommodating and took the time to answer any questions I had. She even filled the tank completely and sold me the car freshly detailed it looks spotless. I do wish the finance department would have been a little bit more transparent and offered more options which I know were available. That being said I am happy with my loan though very fair interest rate of less than 4% It was a very fast sale they weren’t pushy on warranties and moved quickly when I decided I wanted to buy. Ask for Maria!

I’ve purchased my Tiguan R -line recently from Alexandria VW and it has been great. Never owned VW cars before I was looking for some one who had expertise to work with me. I reached out to via the website to inquire about the availability of a vehicle and Bernie immediately reached out. Unfortunately, I could not come that day because I was about 2 hours away, but we set an appointment for the following day. When I arrived the car was waiting for me and the process from the test drive, financing, etc. was smooth. So, I spoke with Julian in the Service Department last week and he was awesome. I’m New to the area and just bought a 2013 Jetta from a private party and it had had all kinds of issues since purchasing it. I took it to Arlington Auto Repair and they ripped me off and did me a huge disservice regarding the vehicle. I told Julian about all this and being new to the area and how it’s hard to find a trustworthy mechanic. He assured me he had my back and to bring the car by and he would inspect it and see what he could find wrong with it and if anything fix it for a decent price. He made me feel comfortable about taking it there. I also just spoke with Bella about bringing the car by tomorrow and she was patient and attentive. She listened to me and offered great advice and also assured me that I was in good hands. She was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with information on Volkswagens and I just want to give both Julian and Bella major props. Good customer service anywhere is hard to find nowadays and they both were excellent in that department.

I love working with Julian. He's been there for me many times when my car had teething problems-10/10 I have not had the best experience with the service department other than Julian. During the summer, I had a case of vandalism, requiring me to replace a rear window. I chose to pay a premium price to get a VW factory window rather than a generic. The service associate told me that he had to chargem me $50 to clean up all the broken shards on the back seat and the floor. I said that was fine, but none of it had been cleaned. When I wrote to complain, I did not complain. The side of the vehicle where the window was replaced was also caked in a sticky substance-likely from the tarp they used to seal the open window. It took me 2 hours to get this off. Disappointing.

We searched and searched for the perfect vehicle and luckily found an amazing and knowledgeable salesperson at VW Alexandria named Maria. She expertly and patiently walked us through the buying experience and we ended up getting exactly what we wanted. If in the market for a new or used VW hit up Maria. One caveat, when working through the finance manager you might receive condescending, rude, and short answers to your questions. That was the only negative part of my purchasing experience. The finance manager (who brings her dog to work) needs to be retrained on customer service or find a job where she doesn't interact with people.

For context, I bought a 2018 Tiguan from the dealer. At the point of purchase, the car had faulty brakes so they told me to make an appointment to bring it in for servicing. The sales process was great from end to end except for the part that they sold me a car with bad brakes. Anyways, I made an appointment brough the car in to get serviced. They asked me what was wrong with it and I mentioned that the car would shake when I used the brakes. I asked them to take a look at all the brakes. After an entire day of waiting for a call, the service person called me and told me the car was ready (and that they had changed the front brakes) and that the brakes were covered under warranty. I was thankful for the coverage, but when I walked in, I spoke to the service person and I asked him if they had looked at the back brakes too. He gave me a general question of "we look at all the brakes and if they didn't call out anything, you should be good". As I took the car with me for a long trip, the brakes would continue to cause the car to shake at over 50 mph. At this point, I was very frustrated that VW hadn't fixed the brake problem. The following week I had to take in the car again, at which point they replaced the rear brakes. I am giving two starts, because the sales process was great but the service process needs heavy improvement. I should not need to take my car back twice for the same problem. The service department clearly needs to amp up their inspection process so that they dealership is not selling cars that need repairs. I also want to note that after I picked up my car, the driver seat was very very dirty with grease. Thankfully these were leather seats and the grease easily came off.

I rated a 3 die to the attitude I received when I called in about my hard tags. My paper tags expire on the 17th and the tag and title girl was rude. I could tell she was black by her tone and verbiage. We called 3 times In the last 2 weeks and never got a call back. That will make me not want to send you guys any business. She needs to fix her attitude or find a job that's not customer service related. My sales guy Fred was awesome.

Some other dealers (both VW and other brands) seemed like they did not need/want my business and/or were more interested in playing games. Thanks for my car Alex! When I bought a 2023 Jetta SE there were none, just promises of their availability, ongoing for months. Your branch delivered on promises made, promptly and professionally, transforming my car buying experience into a great one. I’m temporarily back to driving the 2022 model. Any dissatisfaction I have with the 2023 features, are now moot. The 2023 Jetta is more fuel efficient, and rightly so, for the stronger engine. This is very apparent to a delivery driver who averages about 15 to 20 mpg. I’ve confirmed it with my coworker who also bought the same 2023 model from your branch just about a month after I did. So that’s technically two 5 star reviews for VW Alexandria!

Not sure if the process is the same for other states, but they take care everything, including registration, sales tax, and excise tax. We also had a newborn with us and everybody was super patient and accommodating with us needing to tend to his needs during the burning process. They don’t really haggle prices here so the price you see is the base price you will pay. And any discounts they give you are contingent on you financing through them. They gave us a pretty good rate but we ended up using a different lender and our payments were essentially the same without the discounts. They did give us a „new baby“ discount which was very thoughtful! Thank you again!!

Bought a car here. They aren’t pushy.But they also won’t haggle. Whatever the sticker is, they’re not going to work with you on it. So be prepared to pay the price you see. In addition, if you don’t use their financing you have to pay additional fees. I thought that was a little ridiculous but they had a car that we really liked so we went with it. All in all not a bad experience but had to jump through some hoops I wasn’t expecting to have to jump through.

They had dedicated waiting areas, somewhere for small children to play, and a hot chocolate and coffee machine and bottled water. They are also a dog friendly dealership with water ready for your furry friend! Sometimes the car buying process or servicing can take a while so it's nice to feel accommodated. TLDR: Brett and Joe were extremely helpful in finding my wife and I the best car for the money we were looking to spend, and also helped us make sure it was CPO. My wife and I were trying to locate a replacement car for our previous one that was totaled in an accident. So we started shopping around, and we only had so much time before the rental we had was to be turned in. After a poor experience at a dealership near us, we decided to broaden our search to outside the state of Maryland. That's where we found the website for Alexandria VW. We called pretty late at night on a Thursday with interest in a few different TDI models they had on the website, and we were connected to Brett, who immediately went searching the lot to ensure they were present before we even drove out. When we arrived, Brett was cordial and helpful from start to finish, and was as honest and forthcoming with information as a person could possibly be. He even ran preliminary numbers for us so neither us or him would be wasting time on a car that wasn't going to be purchased. Following the salesfloor portion, Joe was the finance officer who ensured our paperwork portion of the purchase process was smooth. He walked us through all the available options and add-ons, didn't disguise anything, and we all had some laughs. Before we could finish the paperwork, the internet for the dealership went down, and they went the extra mile to ensure we could drive the car home that day and finish the paperwork later. Overall, this is a great dealership and I highly recommend it. P.S. if your looking for a TDI in particular, ask for Brett. He'll make sure you find what you're looking for.

Not the best car buying process I've ever had, to be blatantly honest. I spent about a month back and forth-ing with Gary on when the car would be ready for purchase. Finally, I made the trek to purchase the vehicle when it was ready. I purchased the car Certified Pre-Owned and had some service concerns regarding some maintenance items that were not addressed during the certification process. I emailed Gary and Dean regarding this (Internet sales manager/salesperson I purchased the car from) and received back a very rude email from Dean that he had mistakenly copied me in. Thankfully, Mike Welch stepped in the midst of all of this frustration and worked with me to resolve the maintenance concerns on this sweet little wagon. He has been instrumental to turning the mess that was created around and making me feel a lot better about my purchase. Two months in, I absolutely love my 6 speed manual TDI. Improvements need to be made in the process of purchasing a used vehicle from this dealership, but I have been ensured the CPO process is being re-evaluated.

I live in Richmond, so given the 2 hour drive (plus traffic) I wanted to be sure they still had the car I was interested in. In fact, one in the area tried to convince me the car needed a new clutch and proposed replacing a stage 2 clutch with only 10,000 miles on it with a standard OEM for no reason. Sedeke is a talented, professional, and friendly salesman. We called around looking for a 2022 cross sport, like other dealerships everyone was waiting for a shipment the week after Christmas. I was trying to get off the phone with Sedeke and sign a off-the-freight contract with another dealership more local to me, but he offered something no other dealerships in the same situation offered. With this, my husband and I came to the dealership the next morning. Sedeke met us, he was calm, listened, not overly selling, not overly assertive, or antsy like some salesman can be. He was right for my husband and I, who had been searching and talking with salesman across NOVA for too many weeks. With Sedeke’s guidance, we chose a beautiful 2019 Arteon SEL on 12/17. Sedeke was different than the other folks we’ve worked with. He has a quiet confidence about him. He was very knowledgeable about the cars on the lot both VW and other brands. I appreciate how he worked with us. He also came to work that day several hours earlier than he was scheduled, to meet with us. We highly recommend Sedeke. When we arrived to the dealership I felt overwhelmed due to how full the lot is. It was nice having someone greet us as we pulled in and direct us on where to park. Honestly, if we didn’t have that customer service upon pulling in, I likely would have convinced my husband to leave. It was uncomfortably crowded. The last thing you want to do it hit a car on a dealer lot. Otherwise Sedeke was great. We didn’t enjoy the financing experience though. The customer service and patience from Jasmin was nowhere to be found. Due to this, we were a few seconds and one more rude tone away from canceling the deal and leaving.

In this crazy used and new car market it’s crazy to see how quick vehicles are moving. After shopping for some time for a 2022 Tiguan, I was surprised to see that Alexandria VW had three on the lot. I called the dealership to confirm that they had them in possession, and were still available to purchase. I made an appointment with Maria the following day in the afternoon to test drive, negotiate my 2017 GTI trade in, and consider walking away with a new Tiguan. The morning, before my appointment, I called and spoke with Maria’s manager Aziz to ensure that they still had the vehicle on the lot. I was driving from over an hour away, and didn’t want to make the trek without the vehicle there. Aziz told me they sold two of the Tiguans the day before and only had one left. Even in this crazy car market where used cars are selling higher than average, and where new vehicles are purchased before even arriving at the dealerships, Aziz and Maria were able to hold onto the vehicle, work around my workday schedule, and still were fair on the pricing. In fact, they worked with me on my multiple options for trade in, and I was able to negotiate my trade in, to include me taking some of the trade in cash home, and rolling the rest into the new vehicle. Maria called me the next day to ensure I got home ok and that the vehicle was still meeting my expectations. Maria and Aziz were easy to work with and be “real” with the car buying experience. I am considering bringing my wife in next time to negotiate for one of the new Taos!

The sales representative Fred Fon took the time to answer all my questions about the car. Along with my Fiancé's. Which I had many on it's features because I didn't know much about a Volkswagen sedan. Having been a Hyundai owner. My Fiancé loves Jeep Grand Cherokees but said the Jetta is her second choice! Fred also took the time to go over the Carfax report at his desk and any other questions we had after the test drive. I then decided to get it after just a few minutes. I am currently waiting for my car that is getting serviced and as I am over hearing his interactions with other customers, as well as reflecting on his interactions with me on the phone yesterday and today in-person… I am just grateful for him and believe exceptional character should be noted. He is very kind (genuinely), patient, clear in the way he communicates (tone and clarity), and just overall has delivered unparalleled hospitality. I really hope that this company values and acknowledges the phenomenal asset he is and that in general he is rewarded in life. Way to go Jeremy!

We drove 70 miles to get to this dealership. We are so happy we did!!! It only took 2 hrs with Mr. Carlton Cotton and we are driving away in the perfect car for our family! The whole experience was great! No haggling, straight forward and not pushy. We were planning on financing through our credit union, but they were willing to work with us and make a deal we couldn’t resist. Honestly the best car buying experience I have ever had. I won’t buy from any other dealer. The entire staff is great, Especially Mr. Cotton. He is an excellent salesman. Honest, very Knowledgeable about all the different vehicles and made us feel relaxed about everything. Also as a plus for any of you with kids, they have a great kids area with little pedal cars that my daughter drove around the dealership almost the entire time. I meant to post this months ago... I came to Alexandria Volkswagen after I had a check engine light pop up randomly. Ashley (Nicole) Sanders was VERY helpful and friendly. She kept me informed and walked me through the service process to make sure I understood everything regarding my vehicle and potential options to fix the issue. The entire experience was very smooth, which is saying something, since it happened during the height of the pandemic! I had a very positive experience here and would definitely come back!

I recently purchased a vehicle from here. I had a great experience. My salesman Rob was fairly new, but he went above and beyond to provide an excellent level of service. He committed to making sure that I left with the vehicle that I wanted. He went through the features of every Tiguan we looked at and made sure to review the CarFax for each one. Also, the financial portion was the quickest, most efficient one I've ever been a part of. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

Vehicle inventory is good. List price of vehicle is only if you use their preferred lender. Prices are reasonable but the processing fee is a little high at $899. Daniel did a good job and was easy to talk to. I didn't like the fee that was added for theft protection for $199 but Daniel was able to get rid of it. Overall the process was fairly painless.

As a rule I don’t go the the dealer for repairs but as non-dealers were unable to diagnose the issue I went to the dealer. I was pleasantly surprised - I also very rarely take the time, which I should, to commend people for outstanding service. If you are lucky enough to have Vanessa as your customer service rep, you will not be disappointed. She is gracious, patient (I asked tons of questions) and also saved me $300 as she told me about the monthly specials,which otherwise, I would have not known about. She is efficient and knowledgeable having explained both the services and costs in detail. Finally she followed up with me every step of the way VW should be proud to have such excellent staff!

On the company’s website, I booked the complimentary car cleaning service, which indicated to me that with any service, I can get a complimentary cleaning. However, when my car is ready, it was not clean. The service person told me that I must be “daydreaming” to wanting to receive a complimentary cleaning service. If the company cannot honor the promise why put it as an option on the website? The complimentary service entices me to use your service instead of others. The stuff’s attitude is very unprofessional and disrespectful. Good thing is that it was my first time using the service and will also be the last time. I will let my friends and colleagues know my experience with this dealership. My family was also thinking about buying a new car from this dealership, but with this level of service, we should stop “daydreaming”. Update: the manager called me the second day to address the issue. Very professional and courteous. I will definitely go back again.

Rob was extremely friendly, professional, courteous, and laid back He let us check out the id.4’s they had on their lot and just sit in it and hang out to get a feel for it again.
