She sent me short videos of the car and the total price before I went to the store personally, and she was responsive to answer all questions. I had the best experience with this service department. At 723 miles my new MINI had a problem with the electric shifter. It needed a new one however with the supply chain it would take longer to order one in from Germany. My car was at the dealership just two days shy of a month. Daniel Davis was amazing with constant communication. I was put in a loaner car and on every Tuesday and Friday Daniel kept me updated to what he knew with my parts on my car. Once the part came in the car was fixed and ready to go the next day. To say that I am pleased with there service is an understatement. It was unfortunate what happened to my car but hey things happen that are out of all of our control. Ms. Jacks as I call her is happy to be home and running back to normal 🤣. The service that we got during all of this made the process easy and I would recommend then 100% every single time. Communication and great service was they key here.

Ok. From the minute I started dealing with them, our sales person Sarah was bloody brilliant. She’d noticed I’d called a few time to get though and called me back. She took a risk and sent my car to detail even though we were two hours away and had never seen it, just so it would be ready if I wanted it when I got there. She made the whole process easy, and more importantly she was fun to work with, which is saying something since usually buying a car is heinous. I cannot recommend her enough. I adore my car - it’s sporty and fun, and I would absolutely drive two hours to go back there if I ever had to buy another one.

Mini Service Advisor, Daniel Davis, provides excellent customer service. My mini wouldn't start (no faults) and based on the symptoms we decided to first try a new key fob. Minutes to close on a Friday afternoon I roll in with a tow truck, my dead mini, and got the new key fob. He found us in the back lot, instructed me on how to initialize the fob and car, explained everything in detail, and waited after close to see if it started or if it needed further scheduling. Not the first time he's gone above and beyond.

I just leased a Mini Clubman from Checkered Flag this past weekend. I LOVE this car! We took her on a little tour of the area, and cut out 300 miles from my cap, in ONE day...totally worth it. But okay, this isn't about the car. This is about Checkered Flag MINI. Yesica Ramirez was my MINI motoring advisor (fancy name for a sales person), and she was AWESOME! First of all; totally down-to-earth, laid back personality. Just a natural, genuine person...a car salesperson...I know, it threw me a bit, too! Secondly, even though they were slammin' busy, she made sure I had what I needed, was able to test-drive a couple of MINI's to find the one for me. She answered all my questions, and got me through the process reasonably fast (as I said they were busy). I also got to meet Vicki, and worked with Argo on the financial documents. Great team at Checkered Flag MINI! I highly recommend them! Just look at that beauty! Too bad you missed it, but they have more.

We recently concluded a great experience ordering and then receiving our custom 2020 Clubman JCW All4. Our salesperson, Jacob Rozella, was super-helpful from the start. He helped us design the exact car we wanted, followed-up with updates while it was waiting to be built, while it was being built, while it was loading on the ship, while it was on the ocean, when it arrived in Baltimore...all the way to a full one-week early delivery at the dealership. Even after we had a rough day at home with a bad schedule, he and his manager stayed well after closing to make sure we didn't have to a wait even one more day to receive our new baby, Midnight (all Minis must be named). Absolutely perfect car buying experience!

Great place for service. I never feel ripped off which I can’t say about other dealers. They always check everything which means lots of optional maintenance every time you bring your car in. Only downfall is the wait for service is usually about a month out. So, plan accordingly. There’s a fee loaner available which is great when service takes overnight or over a weekend.

Since we are geographically separated, Sarah made the process of buying our "fully fully loaded" Mini a breeze. Needed a commuter car so Mini Cooper checked all the boxes of city/highway mpg to luxury interior. Yesica help me with the entire process... 2 months of going back and forth trying to find the perfect Mini... Yesica was super patient with me till the end. She was very knowledgeable in the Mini Cooper's and I did not feel pressured once. She ended up finding a Mini at a NY dealership and secured it for delivery. Vikki was helpful in explaining basic finance questions to vehicle delivery information and even gave a great discount on my Mini bc the girlfriend was looking at buying a Mini as well. Stan was the finance manager who finished all the paperwork with me and answered all my warranty/finance questions. Super helpful and that iPad he used to help pick the right package was very user friendly. One of the quickest finance purchases I've done... And I've done a bunch.

After a somewhat bumpy start to my sales experience I drove away with my dream car last night. Felipe my salesperson was great. He was new to Checkered Flag but seemed to know all about The Mini Cooper. I work Monday through Friday so driving the car late on Saturday and then having the dealership closed on Sunday was a bit frustrating. I returned the next week only to find that Felipe and the Sales Manager Vicki who I had extensive conversations with were off that day. It was not anyone's fault but I wanted to do a deal that night and no one seemed to want to sell me a car. They also offered an insulting offer on my trade. I always go to CarMax first to know what my car is worth so having an offer come in $6,000 lower than CarMax was another reason I refuse to give 5 stars. The only reason this sale finally happened was because I wanted a Mini Cooper. I even contacted another dealership in Northern Virginia and was preparing to go up there this weekend to buy it. The salesman was a total gentleman and walked me through all the numbers. They even had a lower dealer fee ($599) vs ($699) at Checkered Flag. In the end though I contacted Felipe to tell him my plan and he was able to make a better offer on the car here. He sent the offers to my correct e-mail and I was persuaded to save myself the time and expense of traveling up to DC for a day to buy the car I have always wanted. So thank you Felipe for saving the deal.

I have been a fan of MINI for a long time, but never taken the plunge before. I had some time, so thought I would stop by and see what they had. I was greeted by Diana and she listened to my situation and needs and then proved her breadth of knowledge of all the product line. She had me drive several different models to ensure that I was getting the one that fit my needs. Not only did she have extensive knowledge about the product line, you could tell she really loved the product herself. I had seen the haggle free pricing online, but figured it was like most of the other dealerships that list one price and then spend 10 minutes telling you why you don’t qualify for those discounts. I've bought 2 Mini Coopers from them. The buying experience was incredible but the service department is terrible since they seperated from BMW. Hard to get an appointment, no late drop off the day before. Latest you can drop off your car is 3pm, and it takes forever to get your car back

I went to Checkered Flag Mini knowing I wanted to buy a mini again but I was undecided between the countryman and two door hard top. My salesperson, Justin, was very accommodating and walked me around and around the lot for hours showing me the different features available for each model and test driving a few. I finally went with the two door hardtop and they made it very easy to get an estimate for my old car and to apply for financing. Bought my very first Mini, as well as it being my first new car ever, and the whole experience at Checkered Flag Mini of VA Beach was simply awesome! Had a wonderful buying experience recently with Joel and Checkered Flag MINI! Found the exact one I wanted there online and the communication with Joel was great (and easy!) from start to finish. We live in another state and made the 4.5 hour drive to buy - he was accommodating for our schedule, custom requests/add-ons and had it ready and waiting for our appointment! Just bought a fabulous MINI from Justin! My wife's BMW was ready for retirement, so we went to Checkered Flag Mini. (We have bought from this Checkered Flag 2 BMW 328i's, 1 BMW Z3, and now a Mini). Justin is already, in his short tenure, an accomplished Mini representative. But where he distinguished himself was to point out that the car Cindy (wife) liked was in short supply and that the limited time offer (that made the price attractive) was ending within a day or two. Otherwise, we would have waited - and lost the opportunity. Did Justin "save the day?" YES! His overall approach was that of a 20-year professional: confident, relaxed, yet on-point. While we were at the dealership, we were one of three potential sales in the store at one time! He handled this extremely well. He went back and forth between his customers and had no one waiting for attention. He kept his composure, was totally smooth, and made everyone happy. And when he did not have a ready answer for a question, he got immediate help/support from his co-workers and management. In summary, he did a prefect job. I went in with my friend. He was set on a mini countryman he had seen online. After he had spoken with the dealer via text all day the salesperson Dianna had pulled the vehicle out front for him to stop by after work to test drive. He picked me up to go and advise. We arrived and the vehicle was about to be test driven by another customer which was fine. We waited. Tried to take the car out to test drive. After we got seated and ready to drive away we were told we could not the previous customer was going to try and get financing to buy. Being that he was pre-qualified for financing I was a bit confused. Anyway... Since he came in to get that specific car we left. He was not interested in another one on the lot. So we left to go to dinner. After we were seated and about to order. His phone rang. The other customers financing did not come through. To make a long story short...after the original debacle we returned and test drove the mini now known as 'Biff' and purchased. The deal was closed and we were out the door in less than 40 minutes. The sales lady was great. The dealership manager was really nice and accommodating. The entire experience was all in all great. I would re-evaluate customer priorities if I were in charge but alas I am not so I assume they did business the way they are supposed to. Thanks Checkered Flag Mini!

From the minute I reached out to Checkered Flag Mini. I got excellent service! I inquired on a vehicle and in under an hour Diana responded with information and video of the vehicle I had asked about. She was very happy to show me that the car was in fact still available. She set me up with a test drive. I arrived after work. The vehicle had been eyed by another customer so they got the test drive before me. But once I drove the car I was sold! It was exactly what I wanted and everything I expected and then some. There was some minor confusion regarding the other customer. But once that was out of the way. I presented my pre-approved financing. And we were on our way. I had a trade in that Was not just in my name. But that didn't slow things up in the least. Since, I went over my mileage I assumed my only option was to refinance my car to buy. I went to several different car companies looking for a subcompact SUV and found that the MINI Countryman was the best car and the best fit for me. Let me start by saying that I wasn’t even looking into buying a MINI at all because I had a whole list of other companies on top of the list. I just showed up one evening 30 minutes before close and Sabrina Galarza was supposed to leave to go home, but she stayed. She stayed and let me look at several MINIs but when I told her a little bit of what I was looking for, she brought out the Countryman. Once I got in, it was the right size and the seat was very comfortable and customizable which catered to all my needs. She explained in ornate detail on what was included, and what features were inside and different driving modes, and many more in the short amount of time we had. It was closing time and she didn’t close, she took the time to let me test drive. I left that evening, letting her know I was still looking into several vehicles, and the next two days I was searching, but the MINI and options were continuously calling to me. After testing out 7 different vehicles, this was it. I came back three days later and saw her, and let her know that I was ready to buy. Sabrina Galarza is an amazing asset to this company and without her, I would not have come back. She made me feel right at home and she takes the extra time to listen to the customer and come back when they call or even show up. All at the same time she uses her passion driven skill-sets which set my mind at ease when buying. I typically come to this dealer for service when I am at school in Virginia Beach. Unfortunately, today I decided to wait for my car to be serviced. They ordered a tire for me and I figured it would be maybe an hour max to put a tire on. I waited 3 full hours for them to put one tire on my car. I don't know why I need to make a morning appointment (I arrived at 8:30) when it will take nearly til noon just to put a tire on. If it will take that long for service I suggest they inform customers beforehand. Overall, the service they do on my car is great but the wait can be crazy. I suggest dropping your car off.

earlier in the day, i had my car in for a 30,000 mile maintenance. I had no appointment but was seen immediately. although the appointment was rather long, i was able to walk to my office where i was called when my car was done. this was very good as i got a lot of work done instead of waiting at the dealership. As i picked up my car, i noticed i qualified for the "replacement program". i called Jun Garvida, whom i purchased all my cars since 1985. He wasn't even at work. I asked him about the program. He researched which car would be good for me. He picked out a car and drove it to my office. i looked at it...told him to get the paper work done. to make a long story short, I started the day at 8:30AM to get my car serviced. by 6PM, i drove off in a brand new car. What made this a great experience was the great customer service from Jun. I trust him. I made the prompt purchase based on that trust. My husband and I have been in the market for a MIni for a while. We visited this dealership several months ago and met a wonderful sales agent by the name of Yesica. She bent over backwards to try and show us every feature of the Mini we were interested in buying. It all started at the front door when she met us and got to know us, and of course, without any pressure. We went for two test drives, once with my husband behind the wheel, and next with me. We must have spent thirty minutes in the parking lot while Yesica showed us every feature of the visual display in the console. We were very impressed, not just with her knowledge of the Mini itself, but also by her warm and welcoming personality. We even went so far as deciding to buy the Mini that we had driven, but, at the last minute changed our minds. We actually bought an older model Mini Clubman instead, from a private buyer. Yesica couldn't have been more gracious upon hearing our decision. Two months passed and we went back to the dealership, and we decided to go forward with buying the original Mini we had test driven. We were so glad that no one else had purchased it! We came in thirty minutes before the close of day, and Yesica greeted us with a huge smile on her face, welcoming us back to the dealership. We were given the opportunity to take the MIni over night for a final test drive, and today we have purchased our new Mini from Yesica! I must say that Yesica has made this transaction as easy as possible. We have been delighted in the entire process. This dealership is lucky to have such a professional, kind person in sales. We have already given her name as a referral to another one of our friends who is in the market for a Mini. So this first truck I was looking at had unfortunately been bought so that was out of the window. Emails that asked for endless details and quotes While saying that actual purchase was, most likely, remote. Yesica, handled all with humor, grace, patience and more. She sent quotes for leasing and sales, for 2 doors and 4 She answered questions, sent pictures, explained different trims Despite knowing in her heart that this customer would NEVER come in. The original MINI was turned in with no new lease or sale More emails were sent, questions answered, to no real avail. Then came the day that December incentives came to an end, The customer texted to say, she might, or might not, come in Yesica, more than an hour past when she should have gone home, Sat in the dealership, almost alone Wondering if she should bother to wait any longer Her feeling that any sale tonight was hopeless, grew stronger. When, all of a sudden, the door opened wide And, the customer and her fiancé stepped on inside. Paperwork, laughter, and all felt so right And a Chili Red MINI drove off into the night. I am alway skeptical when going to a car dealer, as I usually end up dealing with a salesperson that is very aggressive and pushy. It must have been my lucky day as I ended up meeting Tommie Crutcher, who was laid back and let me take my time looking at the different cars on the lot. He provided a few different choices on what cars may be appropriate and the best deals, but never pushed me one way or another, but provided all the information that I asked for. The are only two Mini dealerships between Newport News, one in Richmond and one in Virginia Beach. After all is said the facilities are nice. So, I took my car in for a walk in oil change, just to see is if their service department had margin for new customers. Nope! The schedule was booked, not an issue. Okay I 'll just get the parts and do it myself. Oh but wait...you have to go to the BMW dealership to get the "Mini parts"......say what? Ok, it is a product of BMW so maybe they can do the oil change at Checkered Flag BMW of VA Beach right....WRONG! They cannot, there technicians cannot perform such a task as an oil change on a Mini and the advisors do not have the abilities to write it up. Ok....lets put this together...1. A dealership that does not leave room on the table for growth with walk-ins. 2. A Mini Cooper dealership that does not sale their parts in their building. 3. A BMW product line(Mini) that this BMW dealership does not service 4. Mini 5/30w and BMW 5/30w turbo oil should be the same right....Will on the Mini 5/30w there is dynamic wording on the quart, like "go-kart" driving feel and it a $1 cheaper.....Guess what they did not have, yep Mini OE quart oil. 5. Once I ask for the parts for my mini....they could not find MY13 JCW GP in the system or did not even know what kind of mini I spoke of. How can you not know what a Mini JCW GP is. Folks Casey BMW in Newport New can and will do Mini Cooper oil changes Suggestions: Try to leave some room for Walkins, oil changes, tire pressure or Rotations, Fluid Top offs, coding and so on *Even combine buildings for parts that state BMW/Mini parts At least have a Mini rep working the parts department *Buy the Vet clinic out to relocate establish the foot print. And have Mini Cooper oil quarts on deck
