I live on Big Island and with slim selections I was very hesitant on purchasing from off island. I didn't want to go through the hassle of getting the vehicle shipped. I worked with Colin and told him what I was looking for. He got back to me quickly with what they had available. He ran my credit, and got back to me with monthy payments and what not. We sealed the deal. Yes, I understand that I purchased a used vehicle, yes I understand that the dealership doesn't know everything wrong with the vehicle. Its a risk that you take when you don't want to purchase a brand new vehicle! I appreciate the time that I was given and Colin did not push me into purchasing something I didn't want. He was the most pleasant Car Salesman I've ever worked with. Made my experience purchasing a vehicle from another island seamless and stress free. Go in and ask for Colin!

After visiting several car dealerships, I chose to purchase my vehicle at Honolulu Cadillac because of the great customer service and the process of negotiating and purchasing went smoothly. My sales associate Dante was knowledgeable, kind, professional, actively listened and was able to answer any question we had. Overall, I decided to purchase here because I felt there was no pressure at all which stands out to me because I felt like they weren't just trying to make a sale. Also the finance associate Jenn was professional and personable, she even went out of her way to help me in upgrading my extended warranty for a good deal. My experience purchasing my GMC Elevation from Honolulu GMC was great. The salesperson, Colin was very professional. Being a new salesperson, he knew the answer to my questions. His comment (you will know the vehicle is worth it when you test drive the vehicle) made me wanting try it and he was correct. Great service. Very reasonable and didn’t undervalue my trade. They gave me the best price of their vehicle and trade value - no complaints. However, I do have excellent credit and it’s as if they deliberately chose not to bother working out a realistic interest rate for the remaining loan. Although I signed up to it, I’m going to immediately refinance with my bank because it’s clear the finance side of the deal was an afterthought.

I really enjoyed my experience at the Honolulu Buick -GMC dealership where I bought my truck. I probably would not of bought my truck ! Had I not had so much information and support in my decision making process. Justin the manager was exemplary. Justin Chilcoat ; Filled in any gray areas that I could possibly have had to make communication with the salesman ; Sean who was also excellent. !! Most All of the experience was excellent. Very supportive staff and employees in the service department. Even the financier for all the extras that you need to have for a car of such high end functionality. Too many computers not to have a plan for the future. Overall I would recommend Honolulu GMC to anybody looking to buy a Higher End Quality vehicle. Especially for a truck. Great job crew. They had the car I wanted so I did not need much help. Nobody seemed to know much about the car itself and how some of the features worked so I had to figure those out on my own. Also if you are using USAA financing they won’t accept it so you won’t be able to do business with them if that’s your only means of financing a vehicle. Everyone was nice and start to finish took maybe 3.5 hours so not too bad.

My sales representative Dante was super nice and upbeat. Honestly made the whole process alot easier as I didn't get the "YOU WILL BUY THIS CAR" vibe. Didn't rush the test drive, super upfront with the vehicles history and he even helped get me a loaner when the truck needed a new water pump. On the water pump note, the service department, especially Jeff was extremely helpful and expeditious in getting my truck back in the road. So over all I have no qualms, and I'm happy.

A GENTLEMAN I think his name was JEFF HELPED ME present my NO FAULT INSURANCE for my SAFETY CHECK cause I misplaced mines. Went to sell my car to the dealer. Took a while for someone to come out and look at the car. Prior to going to the dealer, I put my VIN into KBB and had an instant cash offer. Dealer told me that my car had been in an accident and that they wouldn't honor it because the vehicle was in a wreck. Mind you, I put in all the information with the VIN, so the number I got was based off of the entire history of the vehicle. It is my belief that the dealership had too many used on the lot, along with the vehicle being a V-8 and times being the way they are. Sales Manager sent the salesman out to say they would contact me back by the end of the day to see if any of their other dealers on the west coast would be willing to take on my vehicle, and that they could most likely get close to the instant cash offer from KBB. Haven't heard anything back from the dealership, even after having called to ask for a status. It would appear as though I am being ghosted. Which is why I am putting the rating at where it is. There is no follow through. The Sales Manager did not have the time to talk to me. The Salesman could care less either way because there was no other car on the other side of the deal. Long story short, if you want follow through, this is not the place for it. Update: Your dealership hasn't impressed me so far, however here is your opportunity. 1st. I deal with the GM. 2nd. We work towards the White 2500 Sierra you have inbound to make a deal. You have my contact.

I was scheduled to take my Cadillac in on a Monday, with family flying in from the Mainland. Got a call that they were going to close on Monday, so they pushed me back to Wednesday... the day my family was to arrive and would've given ample time to replace my a/c condenser, referring to what the Service Writer told me. My family canceled the trip the day before because I was told it would be Friday until it was ready. It being my only mode of transportation, I ran completely out of groceries by Friday!! THEN I get a call that they had a car that had been at the dealership since MAY and they got the parts in and put it infront of my car!!! (OBVIOUSLY NOT THEIR ONLY TRANSPORTATION!!!) SERIOUSLY?!! SO, then I didn't get my car back until Monday afternoon!! This is not my first issue with the service department, nor was the other issue a small mistake!!! I love the GM and sales.. but the Service Department is in need of hiring someone who can stay on top of and handle putting someone else to be a Supervisor so noone else goes through my past 2 experiences!!

Customer service was great. Although I didn't like the fact that when making an appointment on a certain day and at a certain time doesn't mean anything. I called to make an appointment to get my car looked at, at 830am and when I brought my car in to the Service department they didn't even budge to take a look at my car. As the day went by it was already 4pm and they said that the mechanic didn't even look at my car and won't be able to look at it until the next day. So the next day came and went, by then it was 2pm and they said my car is about to be looked at. A day and a half was waisted... As the days went by my car went in for service a total 5 days. Terrible Mechanic service can't keep up with the cars. They were behind a day and a half on cars. The good thing that came out of this was the customer service agent was on it with keeping me up to date with everything.

Staff was courteous, professional, I had an appointment for 10 am. I was there on time, took 2 and half hours for an oil change and tire rotation, 2015 8686 miles. Tire rotation probably was not needed. Was noted on report wheels are spidering with corrosion. Truck is always garage kept. I am curious why the wheels are corroding. I have a Range Rover longer and wheels are fine. I may consider a speedie lube for the 2.5 hours time frame next time. Thank You Jack

At first my husband had a set an appointment for a GMC truck he had seen on the website, only to find out that it had already been sold. He was a little bummed about it, but Nick had suggested other truck options. Nick was so informative and been helpful throughout the entire process. Never thought we would be leaving the lot with a brand new truck. We basically came to GMC to do a trade with another used truck, only to end up going home with a 2021 Sierra Duramax. My husband and I really love our new truck, especially our kids. It is so spacious compared to the truck we previously had. Got a great deal on a car from these guys!!! But unfortunately that’s where it all ended. Took delivery of the car that late evening and the car wasn’t cleaned. Was promised a detail by sales person and that he would hook it up with some window tint. Came back in the next afternoon and conveniently the detailer left for the day. Tried to bring it in the next day and was told he’s too backed up... Just getting the run around... Sales is Sales and they are great at it!!! Customer Service comes after you buy the car... Too bad!!! I was very impressed with my initial impression and Sales experience. UPDATE!!! Since posting this review I was asked to get in contact with the dealership. I worked with Justen the acting GM. At first he was a little reluctant to work with me due to my negative review I left on here. In the end he made the situation right by reimbursing me the cost I paid to have the car detailed and the windows tinted....

Very friendly and pretty nice showroom. We rushed though things and already had our minds made up before we came in. We needed a new car and there wasnt much negotiating and a manager apparently gave us a take it or leave it number which we decided to take. Jim was the salesman that I spoke with on the phone before heading to Honolulu Buick GMC. He answered all my questions & said he could help me further if I went to see him. Jim was really easy to talk to. He didn't try to push me into test driving or buying anything i didn't want. I told him exactly what I wanted and how much I was willing to pay. He was very helpful along the way. I was at the dealership pretty late and Jim made sure that everything was taken cared of before leaving. He was very patient with me while I cleaned out the vehicle that I was trading in. He stayed longer than his normal work hours to help me with a few things. He also assured me that he would take care of my old seat covers (which was too hard for me to take off at the time) and that it would be safe in the truck until he had them taken out at a later time. Jim set up an appointment for me to have my truck bed sprayed & to have my windows tinted a few days later. He noticed that i had my family and asked me if i wanted a loaner vehicle so i could leave with my family instead of waiting around. He was also very hospitable when i got back & needed to wait a bit, while my new truck was being washed/detailed. He offered to buy my daughter and I food to eat, but we settled on candy from the vending machine. I would also want to mention Kalai, he was the finance guy. He was very easy to talk to and I felt really comfortable with him while discussing my finances. I was confident that he got me the best deal possible the first day that I left with my new truck. I also went to see him a couple days later and learned that he was still working on getting me a better deal and helped me to figure out how to pay for other things that I wanted for my truck. Overall, i had an awesome experience and would definitely recommend my friends and family to go there for their next vehicle purchase!

After extensive research online and various visits with island wide dealerships and one located in Japan, Honolulu Buick GMC Cadillac (HBGC) had what I was in search for. From start to finish, I had the pleasure of working with Tony Rodriguez (Sales Manager) Tommy (Finance) and Robert Brantley (Awesome Salesman). These men were very attentive, consistently patient and professional with delivering exceptional customer service 5 STARS TO YOU! After narrowing my choices to one SUV, it was a matter of signing paperwork to "seal the deal." Unfortunately, prior to closing, I had to deal with Justin Chilcoat (Sales Manager). This is where my awesome experience rapidly turned sour. Justin was careless, highly unprofessional, offensively impolite, and negligent to my needs as a buying customer or frankly as a human being for that matter. He made it known that I was wasting his precious time and his poor attitude proved it. I have never experienced such negative customer service anywhere, ever! If it weren't for Rob, I would have walked away from HGBC and never returned. I eventually purchased the SUV. However, because of Justin, I would not recommend this dealership to my family and close friends merely to save them the headache of dealing with such a discourteous pompous individual. If it weren't for Rob and Tony I would not recommend this dealership to anyone!

Have you ever had to own your mistakes? I'm doing that now, because Honolulu Buick GMC Cadillac did not deserve what I said last week. After my first Hawaii hurricane, I basically panicked and returned what was a great vehicle out of fear that it could be washed away and I'd be stuck with the aftermath. Bought my New 2015 Enclave on Saturday!!!!! There were a few hiccups but nothing that wasn't resolved timely! After reaching home my 5 year old son and myself got comfy in the back seat and watched his Power Rangers DVD in the driveway. Of course this was his idea. My son says its his Enclave. Wait a minute little man, wait just one minute...its mommy's Enclave!
