He was able to take time to really listen to what I was looking for. He was very patient and kind. I truly felt like he was working with me to find what I was looking for which was a huge benefit. Last night, we went home with a truck of our dream! The new 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT RST Red Stripe Edition and it was the easiest quickest transaction we’ve had experienced in buying cars on the Island! First, I was so impressed when the sales representative Kelv came out from the office to greet us while we are just about to park our car! His energy and smiles makes the whole process feels accommodating! He tried his best to give us all his knowledge about the truck. 2nd, the managers who helped us was so quick to get us approved! Very knowledgeable and easy to deal with! Lastly! the office is clean and well maintained. 🙌🏼 Thank you so much Cutter Chevrolet.

The wife picked up her new Tahoe last week. By far the best experience we’ve had with a car dealership on island and we’ve purchased 8 different vehicles on island in the last 8 years. Stanley was our salesman and hands down the most personable salesperson you could ask for. He was very attentive and laid back, didn’t push any sales on us nor did he bug us, he was very good at explaining everything and gave us our space to make decisions. I wasn’t able to be there to help my wife with the purchase (her first time doing this alone) and Stan made her feel very comfortable and walked her through the whole process while being very patient. The sales manager was very generous with our trade, offered more than we were expecting, and very easy to work with negotiating the sales price of the new vehicle. They exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend Cutter Chevy on Ala Moana and Stanley as a salesman. If we buy another Chevy, we will definitely be going back!!

Went and made my first big purchase on getting me a car and throughout the whole process, Ernor(erns) Sewell- Welle, was very patient and helpful in making sure that I was getting what I wanted for the right price. He broke everything down to where I could understand what it was that I was looking and not just slap a bunch of numbers and info in my face. Erns even went out of his way to take me to the Aiea lot to look at another car I was interested in. After I had wasted his time and decided to go with the first choice of car lol he was still very helpful and had the greatest customer service, did everything with a smile and kept a positive energy. Later was able to sit with the Finance Manager Russell Lamay, who finalized it all off with nothing but professionalism and true Aloha ensuring that I was all set to drive off with my new ride. I was interested in the bolt so I visited with my wife. We were greeted with smiles and a friendly atmosphere. Later I was told the bolt I was interested in was available for viewing so my wife and I dropped by as soon as we could. We spent about 3-4 hour working with Kelvin and the finance manager. Overall it was a good experience and I am happy with the new car and glad the staff was patient and very nice.

We had a great experience buying a truck here! Everyone was really nice and we were easily able to make a deal and head home with a new vehicle in a few hours. No funny business, like can happen at other dealerships. They have lots of toys to play with for kids of all ages. My 2 year old was entertained the whole time! It's also a short, safe walk to the SALT shopping area!

Service department needs to improve on communication - with customers and each other. I rescheduled my first appointment because I was not informed it would take all day & my car would need to be dropped off. Service manager did not communicate that it would take longer and eventually not be complete same day as we were told. After we drove into town at 4pm and had asked how long more, he advised possibly another hour. No problem. But shortly after, advised it wouldn't be done till next day around noon. We understand unforeseen issues may arise. However, keeping in good communication and being honest about the expectations goes a longer way and creates customer loyalty.

I understand the maintenance that was required to be done on my 2019 Chevrolet Silverado RST. I definitely became more frustrated with the 2-month process it took to complete the warranty work required because of a known problem with the 5.3L V8 engine that GM uses. One suggestion is to be honest, and more proactive, with customers regarding known defective system problems. My particular situation involved the AFM/DFM system which caused the #3 lifter to fail causing severe damage all the way to the camshaft. I was without my vehicle, still making payments mind you, for over 2 months and paying for a loaner vehicle. My recommendation is just be more honest with customers. It was not fun not having my vehicle! I very much like Chevrolet products so I won't convince customers to stay away from Chevrolet but I will be honest and share my experience.

Had a nail in left rear tire. Took 10 days to replace but under the mandates, brand new car, shortages of workers; I can’t complain. Excellent replacement of tire and customer service that day. I just wish I had that from the beginning of my purchase. Even GM accessories are having problems with customer service. 45 days and no All-weather floor mats. Seems like corporate employees just gave up.

I can't give this a perfect score because I was upset that I needed to wait a long time (15-20 minutes) for my Cutter advisor to finish with another customer when I had arrived for my service appointment at the scheduled time. It's a good thing I wasn't in a particular rush that morning, but it did make me feel like an unvalued customer. Otherwise, the oil change went smoothly since my Colorado truck is in good/like new condition even though it's 3 years old.

Tyler Hall! Best car salesperson we have ever had! We bought a car via Tyler and he was extremely polite and helpful. I met him in the lot when I was "just looking". He offered his card. I was at another dealer trying to do a deal which failed. I contacted Tyler and asked if they could do a deal. He called a short time later and said come down! I have been to a couple of dealerships here on the island, but the one that really takes the cake is Cutter Chevy. I’ve never experienced a dealership so customer oriented, professional, and efficient as this one. Tyler did a phenomenal job at helping me find the right car and he really took care of me. The staff was extremely kind and welcoming, and it was very clean. We looked at all the used cars and they were all very well kept, maintained, and clean. I had special needs for my service visit as I live on Molokai and needed to send my vehicle over on a Young Brothers barge. Cutter agreed to pick up my vehicle and get it to the dealership on my behalf. It was this one courtesy along with receiving a written estimate of the work I needed before my visit which convinced me to go with Cutter. I had tried other dealerships and there was no sense of wanting to help me at all. There were a couple lapses in the communication process 1) when the first service advisor I was working with left Cutter and no one picked up his work, and 2) my service advisor left for vacation the exact day that my vehicle was to arrive in Honolulu and neglected to let me know about that which caused a lot on panic on my part. The Service Adviser was very good. My concern is the new Shuttle service policy. I have been a loyal customer since I purchased my 2016 Corvette in 2015. I have always used your shuttle whenever work was needed. I was denied this service because your new policy restricted area to 5miles. Supposedly due to Covid, although I've been vaccinated and always wear a mask in public. So I was stranded there until other arrangements could be found. I am not very happy with this. Taxi service would've costs me approx. $40 to get home and another to return to pick up my corvette.

We worked together on the customer appointment system to help ease the customer assignment on their service advisor appointment scheduling system. Still could use some improvement on their end but was better than it was prior to having the online scheduler.

I always use your dealership for my service, as it's easy for me and where I work in town. I always drive in and am greeted warmly by a friendly staff. "Mike" (??) always seems to be there helping out and a nice guy. But Julianna has been a regular face when I arrive for routine service and treats me very well as a returning customer. Christine began helping me they my initial web inquiry and I had questions about a few vehicles and she was very patient with getting me all the info I needed. I had questions on the GVWR of one of the tricks on the lot that I initially wanted but I don’t want to deal with DOT so I needed it to be under 10,000 GVWR. Once I knew cutter had the truck to suit my needs via her help she had me come down to see Amit and Jason. Both were very good and helpful and very patient as my requests during the deal I think were not the standard deal requests. (I was trading 3 vehicles in at one time.) When I arrived, Amit was very courteous and Contentious of my feelings and concerns for health and safety due to the pandemic and he asked multiple times to make sure I was okay with how the process was going in light of that which I very much appreciated. Jason worked very hard to help me understand their position and was very mindful of what was important for me and our company in this deal. The sales manager Anthony was also very patient and I feel both Cutter and my company could both walk away from this deal feeling we both benefited from it. Running a small business and being in sales my whole adult life has given me insight into being reasonable with the business end of a car dealership. Everyone tries to make the dealership out to be an enemy but you just need to know the product you need, know what any vehicle you plan to trade is REALISTICALLY worth and realize that the dealership is not an enemy at all-but the reality is, they need to make a living too and they can’t do it by giving you the vehicle you want and not making any money off it. I can’t stand when people cry about getting a bad deal in the past. You da dummy wen sign da papahs. And maybe that’s how dealerships ran in the past but the last few car deals I’ve made over the last few years, seems like that has changed. In my case it was far cheaper to shop the west coast in port cities like San Diego, San Francisco, LA, or Seattle. You find a great deal in any of those cities and shipping from door to door is under 1500. Keep this in mind. Other than that, good dealer, friendly people, heard only good things from the service department.

Walked into the dealership while in the area just to browse. Within a few minutes we were approached by a salesperson, Marco. He is not a typical pushy/hungry sales guy. He took his time to walk us through their lot and because it was dark he mentioned that it's hard to get a good look at their inventory. While there, my husband saw a truck he liked and decided to go back later during the day. Well, we made arrangements with Marco the next day and he pulled the truck so we could get a better look, and sure enough, it wasn't as nice in the daylight and was not impressed with the interior. We looked around the lot and found another one -- originally wanting a white with dark gray/black interior, we noticed a really nice black on black. Took it for a test drive and the rest is history! I was also made aware that Hawaii didn't receive any 2016 Volts. The 2017 I was test driving sold me on its improvements and Maurice provided the information I needed and was very knowledgeable about both the car and the process I was experiencing for the first time (lease turn in). A minor issue with the airbag indicator (which was also later dealt with very expediently by Maurice and Julianna) was the only issue I left the dealership with when I drove off the lot in my new 2017 Volt. Cutter Chevrolet on 711 Ala Moana work as a team. My wife and I drove in without making an appointment and all the sales people were busy. The Financial Manager Russell Lamay greeted us instead and soon had the Assistant Manager Zach take us out to another car/truck lot to look at what we were interested in. By the time we got back, my wife and I were met by Sales Person Wendy Cowland. She was the best sales person I've ever met (and I've met a LOT over the years)!!!. Not being able to close a deal and agreed to come back the next day, she was STILL EXTREMELY PLEASANT as we left the dealership!!! The next day I texted Wendy some questions before we went back and she answered me within a reasonable time, every time. This woman was NOT FALSE like the other sales people at the other Chevrolet dealerships !!! Worked with Wendy all the next day until we finally decided on what we really wanted and then worked with her and Russell to come up with a financial plan that my wife and I could afford. Now it's been the 5th day I've had my Chevrolet Colorado truck and I couldn't be happier.... I want to thank Wendy, Zach and Russell for working as a team to make customers feel welcome and appreciated and not to high-pressure me into selling something I didn't need!!! I went back the next 2 days AFTER I bought my truck, asking for help with my infotainment system and either Russell or Wendy helped me WITHOUT a bad attitude, but with a TRULY, FRIENDLY attitude!!!! There are too many sales people that once they get your money and you drive off the lot, try to come back later...either roll their eyes or give sarcastic remarks to you (of course they say they were "joking") If the Service Department is as good as their Sales Department, then I'll be a customer for life. But, there have been times I have called a little after 5pm, and I'm told they've gone home. Parts Department staff are nice too, but I was told that GM almost doubles part prices for Hawai'i! I purcahsed a truck here in October. They were extremely helpful during the purchase process. I went to JN Chevy prior to cutter and was getting screwed. After learning this, Cutter was extremely helpful. They helped me pay off my trade. The truck i purchased had a loose headliner, so they agreed to fix it as log as i had it done within 30 days of the purchase. I called multiple times and even went into the dealership to try and schedule a time to fix it. i kept getting excuse after excuse. after the 30 days was up, they said there was nothing they could do. I left hawaii in march and moved to El Paso, Texas. Its so hot there that my truck is constantly overheating. When i called the warranty company to see if my radiator was covered, they had no record of my warranty. The dealership never followed through the the extended warranty i purchased. Now im stuck paying out of my pocket.
