I recently traded in a 19 Kia Optima for a 19 Chevy Colorado and I am extremely happy with it and Kool Chevrolet. Mike Voorhees was my salesman and was really helpful throughout the whole process. I found the truck I wanted online and drove it home two days later after all the paperwork was finished. I have always serviced my truck at Kool with excellent service but this time was different. I asked them to inspect the brakes because they were making noise. I was assured they were good but made an appointment to have them replaced anyway. later that day the brakes started making a lot of noise. I brought the truck in for my appointment and they said there was metal on metal and they did not know why the other tech did not call it out. I see this as a big problem - you are professionals and you sent me back out with an unsafe vehicle - very disturbing. On top of that the tech did not secure the hub cap and it was lost somewhere on the street. You said you would replace it but still - the quality of service was questionable at the least and the concern for customers safety is unforgivable. Not sure if I will use Kool again for subject expertise type of repairs.

My wife and I met Jay R. late last summer when we were just browsing at the Colorado line of mid-sized trucks. We fell in love with the Deepwood Green Metallic color but it was only offered in the ZR2, more truck than we needed. Betting the color would come eventually to the Z71, we waited. Sure enough, a few months later Jay contacted us to inform us the Z71 was available in the color we wanted. Jay's no-pressure salesmanship, and keen knowledge of the vehicle lead us to continue working with him when it came time to make the final selection and purchase. Unfortunately General Motors only offered this color for a limited time and we missed our opportunity to order direct from GM. Jay's resourcefulness allowed us to locate and acquire the base model Colorado we desired. The team at Kool Chevrolet, coordinated by Jay, worked with us to change the items we desired to provide the truck and look we wanted. When it came to financing and warranty options, Zach G. was great to work with also. He was patient while we asked basic questions (sometimes more than once due to purchase jitters). He also took time to explain things and made sure we understood our options so we could make the right decision for us, not the dealership. Jay, Zach and the team at Kool further earned my respect by coming forward in the last minute before we had a check issued from our financial institution. A small change in the total cost for the vehicle saved my wife and I a couple hundred dollars. This action speaks volumes to me on a business based on integrity and honesty. Thank you Kool Chevrolet for this and keep up the good work. We had an intermittent problem that was hard to diagnose. Stacy in service took the notes we had logged and quickly understood which service team member would be best for diagnosing our problem - and they got it in no time at all!! They also gave us a loaner vehicle while we waited for parts to come in. This was extremely helpful and was a white glove experience! The problem is fixed, was under warranty and we are thrilled to have our car back. Stacy did a great job at keeping us informed of what was happening. Bought this beauty from Kool Chevrolet on Saturday. For those who don’t want to read my long story we are throwing a HUGE shout out to John Davis (Sales) and Rick Stanton (Business Manager) for making our long time dream a reality, they were both very transparent, honest, and easy to talk to and made the experience like buying from a friend!! Alright, now the good stuff: My Fiancé called shortly after this 2015 Jeep Wrangler was posted (they had just got it, and it was just going into the service shop and still was not detailed) and we were able to come down that night to view it. John was willing to stay until we arrived to view the vehicle 2 minutes to closing. They pulled it out (still not detailed) and it immediately caught our eyes. We did not test drive it that night as we just were making sure it was something we were looking for and didn’t want to keep him too late which he reassured us was not a problem. John called us the next day (his day off) asking if we were interested as he wanted to make sure he could hold it until we were able to get in and test drive it. Obviously we said yes and so it was held for us to view and test drive on Saturday. John made sure when we got there that the Jeep had a full tank, gave us a little background on the Jeep and told us to take the time we needed to test drive this vehicle. Once we returned we were 100% sure this was our Jeep. We told John that we were not looking to go over a certain amount and he did everything in his power to accommodate our needs including helping us get some value out of a vehicle we were not sure was worth anything. While waiting to get our financial stuff in order John made sure we were taken care of, asking if we wanted coffee or water or anything else and having real conversations with us- not the typical awkward ones you might have while buying a vehicle from a dealer! We even had to run home to grab the title to the vehicle we traded in and John let us take the Jeep! We finally got back and we were ready to sign some papers! Rick helped us through this process and he was fantastic, we were running close to our banks closing time and he was constantly checking and reaching out to them to make sure we could go home with it that day! We had lots of questions and he was super helpful! He even helped us pick out a warranty that made the most sense to us and was honest throughout the entire signing process which was quick and painless. Before sending us on our way in our new to us Wrangler John had topped off our tank and gave us the gift of a free oil change when we needed to have next one as it had just been done. I have bought from other dealers in the past and have never felt that they were as honest, friendly, personable, and helpful as these two at Kool Chevrolet! Thank You So Much!!

Felt rushed when bringing the car in. I was going to ask the service advisor about getting a service history printed out so we could see if the cars been maintained according to factory specs or not. When we bought it there the salesperson said the service department could do that. Thought about getting the transmission serviced but if it's never been done before then we don't want to start doing it at this point. We've had issues in the past when doing transmission service on higher mileage vehicles. But there's other things as well that'd be nice to know if they were done or not. The advisor just took the keys and put the paper number in the car, I even stood there for a minute before i had to ask him where I should go since it was my first visit to your dealership but we bought the car there, it's a Chevy, and we like to take our vehicles to the dealership that sells them because they know the vehicles the best. Disappointed in the rushed experience but otherwise it was okay. Because of that we're not sure if we'll come back or go to a Chevy dealer closer to where I work.

I was first in line Saturday morning for an oil change and tire rotation. It took an hour which it usually does. It would be nice if you put in a quick lube. Also I got into my truck and the wheel lock key was laying on the center consul and not back in the glove box where found, the radio was on quite loud, and the service ticket was left under my wiper. On the service before this I had them look at my 4x4 noise which they said was normal and due to my tires being uneven. The noise is not normal, the tires are new, and my radio was on loud to a station I don’t listen to while they were checking for noise. Plus they charged me $65 to look at the noise. The prices have gone up and the quality of service has gone down. I am hesitant to bring my truck in to you for anything more then an oil change. I get the feeling they don’t want to cover anything under my million mile warranty.

At the beginning of April, I took my 04 Ford Taurus to a mechanic and got the news that nobody wants to hear: she was beyond repair, and he wasn't confident that I would be able to get her to a dealership. I started hunting that same day, and three days later I was driving away from Kool Chevrolet in the car that I wanted, and they took that old Taurus off my hands. I had a couple of other vehicles I was looking at, all of them at a bit of a distance, but what sold me on Kool Chevrolet was my experience with Austin Sheldon and then John Davis. I could not have asked for a more transparent and reapectful experience. I had the pleasure of working with John when I came up for my test drive, and I knew in the first five miles that the 2015 Ford Escape I was looking at was the car for me. I drove it for a little while longer and noticed that it was tugging to the left, and so when I brought it back, I made sure to point this and a couple of other things out to John, and he passed it on to the mechanic to fix those things specifically when giving it the full service. And because there was no way I was ever going to safely be able to drive that Taurus ever again, John set me up with a loaner and told me the car would be ready the next day. And even though I did not finance through the dealership- I was working on a specific amount from my bank and a specific amount that I could afford to put down - John went above and beyond in order to make this happen for me & at the price that I wanted. He negotiated with his managers, took care of a few title hiccups with the Taurus, and I ended up going only about a hundred fifty dollars over budget. I don't generally trust dealerships, mostly because I do not like how pushy salesman can be, but I respect the hell out of John for how honest and transparent he was with me throughout the entire process, and how he took me seriously in what I wanted and never treated me with anything but respect even though I was a woman buying my first Real car. I could have purchased my car from any dealership in a hundred mile radius, and I still had a couple of backups in mind when I showed up at Kool for my test drive, but that level of integrity is what sold me on doing business with John, and by extension Kool Chevrolet. I am very happy with the vehicle I bought from them, and even though I hopefully won't have to replace her for a good while, I will definitely be doing business with them again.

Signed, Sealed, Delivered on my new to me 2019 Cruze LT last night with John Davis. I called him from the scene of my accident 3 days before Christmas. I was in a 2019 Trax lease with a year and a half to go. I had been hoping to lease again but with the current state of the new car market I needed to find myself a good deal on a used car. Thankfully I was put in a pretty good place with my last salesman and the lease so I was able to get into a new vehicle relatively easy. First of all the Kool Pre Owned Car inventory is pretty extensive at the moment and John took the time to explain how smart it would be to put myself in something I wanted, that would still have value a few years down the road. Remote start, a power seat for my short self and heated front seats was on my wishlist for my next car and the car we settled on checked all the boxes. Kool Chevrolet has to be, without a doubt, the best car dealer that I've ever dealt with! If they have a vehicle that you're interested in, don't hesitate to deal with Kool. I drove from 600 miles away to purchase a used 2014 Chevy Volt in GREAT shape and dealing with them was very easy, even from so far away. My salesman, Tim, answered every question I had about the car, sent me extra pictures, researched the history of the vehicle for me and he even offered to take a walk around video of the car and send it to me if I wanted. The vehicle completely checked out and the price was right so I drove the 9 hours from Maryland to Michigan to see it in person. I showed up as soon as the dealership opened in the morning and just 2 hours later I was headed back to Maryland with the best new or used car purchase that I have ever made in my almost 35 years of driving. The finance guy I dealt with, Rick, made that part of the process go very smoothly as well. He didn't try to up-sell me a bunch of additional coverage's and packages that I really didn't need but still explained everything and answered all the questions I had. I thought for sure that I would be the craziest customer that they ever had because I was willing to drive so far to purchase a vehicle from them. Tim told me that I was only the customer who drove SECOND furthest to buy a car at Kool. He said he had one guy come from Oregon to buy a vehicle! When people are coming from that far away to purchase a vehicle from Kool Chevrolet you know that they are treating their customers right! I have always been happy with this dealership until this time I did not get a phone call telling me that my car was ready and how much it would cost me instead I got a text message and now I'm wondering if they even try to contact carshield just stay at my cost would be covered by them and I was told first the cost was going to be 249 then I was told that would be 296 and then when I finally got there the price was 269 so I really have doubts about them contacting car shield and I would appreciate an honest answer as to the cost of the repair it's kind of hard to budget it in but mostly I am not sure if they did try to work with carshield or contact them and this is my biggest issue at this time so with me doubting them I'm not sure if I'm going to trust them the next time but thank you for asking

Latest visit was much better overall so gets four stars: -Extremely quick for a walk-in especially on a late Saturday morning; didn't even see any other cars in the service bay. Much better overall than the prior experience via appointment. Might've been dumb luck. There was an odd smell in my car interior afterwards though, like either grease or some shop chemical. Took a while to air out on the way home. _____________________________________________________________________ The oil change was a success on my wife's Equinox, but there were some issues while waiting: There was a man with two kids in the waiting area without masks, walking all around. A sticker for a Discount Tire rotation schedule was taken off the windshield and laying trampled on the floor of the car. The driver's seat was moved far forward and wasn't returned to the far back position when I brought it in. I was there for an hour WITH an appointment for a basic oil change. I can usually walk in to Fox Ford on a Saturday morning without one and be done faster. It would be nice to see improvements in these areas for the next one. Thank you, -Jesse

Walking into a dealership with a horrible credit score won't get you very far, but with Keith it does! No other sales people at the other dealerships were willing to help me when it came for searching for my next car, and some didn't even bother calling me back (but that's another story). He showed us vehicles in our price range; found one that had not even been brought out of stock yet. He cleaned up the vehicle while we took another while we ate dinner. When we arrived back, he had the second vehicle ready for us to test drive. Without pressure, he allowed my wife and I to discuss the vehicle and run some numbers. Once we decided on the vehicle they placed it on a hold for 3 days. The day we closed on the vehicle we met the sales manager. He was not pushy and offered us some solid choices for extended warranties. He was not pushy and actually was very helpful and patient. We have had the car for nearly two months and had to have service once. I may have been having a bad day--but I am not so impressed with the service center. As indicated, I may have had a bad day so I am willing to revisit with an open mind. Nonetheless, I would purchase another vehicle from Kool.

We purchased our 2010 Chrysler Town and Country from Kool Chevrolet July 2015. It was an okay experience and we had good customer service. Since purchasing the van, we have had a few mechanical issues, which is probably to be expected. We paid for the additional warranty that we were told would cover anything engine related. We found out later that it didn't. In fact, it doesn't cover anything. So basically we were "snowed" on $2,000 at time of purchase. The service repair shop was very helpful with the 1st repair we needed. However, our service for the 2nd engine related issue was not satisfactory! The service representative was very rude and inconsiderate. There was no attempt to take care of us. No loaner car, no offers, just an overpriced repair is all we got. When we declined to pay the amount for the repair, the rep seemed to be aggravated with our decision. It was at that time we were told we owed them for the diagnostic testing. Which we believed would be covered because we purchased from them. UPDATE: After voicing my concern with Kool Chevrolet, they did an amazing job making it right! I was explained that the warranty we were sold in 2015 was NO LONGER sold there! The management removed this warranty 2 years ago right after we had purchased from them. The management was very understanding and reimbursed me for the warranty! They also followed up with the service representative and reassured me this was taken care of. Thanks Kool Chevrolet for taking the time with our experience and making things right! Not many businesses do that these days!

I was treated very nicely by Austin, the salesman. However, when we did the contract with the finance manager he tacked on Gap insurance, which is optional, and he never mentioned this or the $1500 extra charge! This wasn't transparent and my father called to have him cancel it immediately which he did. I was also told I'd get 1000 trade in for my vehicle which was offered to me by another dealership but they ended up only giving me 750. I just felt they were a little dodgy - especially about the gap insurance which is nonsense anyway. But the car is very nice and I hope to have no issues with it as the warranty is only 1500 miles as it's a bit older. Just be wary and read your contract closely.

For the service center: I always am wary of dealerships because I had a bad experience at the Kalamazoo Chevrolet Dealership. But, this place was really really great. My Chevrolet Sonic randomly started smoking (I hear that's very very normal and safe for cars to do), and they got me in right away, and treated me with great warm hospitality. They laid out the possible costs of the repair for me easily, and answered my billions of questions without looking annoyed or impatient. I had a warranty that expired just two days after I brought it in, and they applied it anyways and my car was fixed for free!! They provided a free valet service for me to and from work, and even though they were understaffed they got my car done the same day I brought it in and I drove home in a fixed car! As a single woman who knows nothing about cars, there is nothing more amazing than someone who works in cars treating you with honesty, integrity and respect when they could take advantage of you. I only have positive things to say!!

Keith Remelts is Back at Kool Chevrolet!!!! Almost four years ago, I walked into Kool Chevrolet and leased a Chevy Trax from Keith Remelts. It was a great car-buying experience. I took my truck in for routine oil change and tire rotation. I also had a a rear tire with a slow leak. Oil change was free because of the GM new truck promotion. The rear tire had a nail in it and could not be repaired. Kool Chevy had a new tire in stock and replaced the tire. Very positive experience.
