I went shopping for a new car June 2018 going to every single dealership in Burlington, South Burlington, and Williston. No one was willing to work with me. I even had a different dealership trick me into coming in, thinking they had a deal for me. Tried to sell me a car older than the one I was driving, for more than the one I was driving. I was infuriated. Finally came to Freedom Nissan and worked with Jake Spear. He got me a car I wanted. Fast forward to a year and was in a terrible accident and the car I had purchased then was totaled. I came back to Freedom Nissan and worked with Michael Burrell. He was completely amazing, I didn’t feel like he was trying to cheat me, trick me, or scam me. Him I really got along! Seemed liked he was working for my best interests. Doing all that he could to make sure I could go home in a brand-new car. They ended up not having the one I originally wanted (just a standard trim level Altima, all-wheel drive, just a low payment). Ended up getting me into a trim level higher for a great price and I love the car to pieces. Really felt like I got about everything I wanted in a car. Now as I drive around, I feel like I’m in a beautiful car with a load of awesome features. Not to mention a fantastic color!!! I came back to Nissan because of their “Nissan Intelligent Mobility” features, snazzy looking vehicles, and as a father of two with full hands the push to open, push to start, felt absolutely necessary to me. Their safety features insured that I got away from the accident with me life. I spent a trip to Montpelier in the passenger seat as I recovered looking at other car manufacturers comparable model, and I just couldn’t get over how much I love the Nissan Altima. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good experience and a fantastic safe vehicle!

They changed the tires and breaks when I went to pick up the car and Christie was super responsive, helpful, and not pushy. I had a great chat with Mike and all-in-all it was a great experience. I will definitely be doing some things different next time I buy a car and did not enjoy certain aspects of the negotiation tactics here (the sales person I talked to kept leaving to see her manager after every offer and counter-offer which made me feel uncomfortable sitting there alone with my thoughts).

Nissan Customer Service Shop did an outstanding job on my pathfinder. I went in for a routine oil change and to switch my summer tires to winters for the season. Because Nissan techs are thorough in their job, they evaluated my car all around and found I had a coolant pipe ready to burst any minute. Talk about perfect timing to come in! they also fixed a light that was out, fixed my battery, replaced the front brakes that were just about gone and really did an outstanding job on my car. We travel a lot back and fourth from Vermont to Boston to the Boston Children's hospital because my eldest child, Sawyer (7yr) has scoliosis and requires a surgery every few months in Boston. We are two weeks away from our next trip to Boston so having all this work done and done correctly means a lot. It also shows the dedication the staff have to their customers and really making sure they are taken care of. I truly appreciated their attention to detail.So much so that the next day, I brought them donuts and coffee from dunkin to show my thanks. It's not much but in today's work environment when you have good employees, you want them to stay and when you receive good service, you want to keep going back for that same service. Everything was good with work done. Nissan in Saint Albans would always clean vehicle when doing recalls and doesn't happen here. Also wasn't particularly impressed with being given an estimate for a new battery saying mine failed the load test. Battery in vehicle is only a Year old interstate battery which I brought to be load tested at a parts dealer and it fully passed.

Our search for a truck began with an internet search, and Freedom Nissian had exactly the truck we were hoping to find. We decided to travel from NY to VT to take a look at the truck and ended up driving our dream truck home only 3 hours after getting off the ferry. We arrived at Freedom Nissian and were greeted within a minute of standing in the lobby. We were directed to a delightful motivated sales woman named Christie. Over 5 minutes we explained what we were there to take a look at, and already began to feel like we were in the right place. We were able to test drive the truck, and get our vehicle valued for a trade in value within the hour. They offered a very fair rate for our trade in, and the price of the truck was very reasonable. They gave us time to privately discuss our decision without hovering. The financing went very smooth, we explained were we wanted to be for a payment, and ended up getting where we wanted to be with the inclusion of a great additional warranty. It took until the actual financing to get to our ideal payment, so patience and communication was a key part of our experience. All around the experience was great with everyone having knowledge and positive attitudes. Our saleswoman was beyond average to say the least, she connected with us, to make us feel like she was there to get us a vehicle we wanted and the price we wanted. We would highly recommend to request Christie Villa because of her knowledge of vehicles, and obvious experience with dealing with people. In our years of purchasing vehicles, she stands out as the best saleswoman we have dealt with to date. We would absolutely return to Freedom Nissian in the future for our next vehicle.

Overall very helpful and pleasant shopping experience. Update 8/5: Nissan's service department is absolutely horrible! We have had to bring our car back 3 weeks in a row to get minor things fixed because the mechanics are ordering the wrong parts and make patch jobs that don't fully work. My husband has sat in the waiting room for HOURS and we have no clue what they are even doing that would take so long. I think they put on new tires and fixed a fog light. The shopping process was great but seriously, save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. Somewhere that can take care of you AND your car.

Took my Pathfinder for a scheduled service and to address a serious brake vibration issue which has persisted for several months, even prior to the first service. Also asked for the Key Fob battery to be changed. I was charged for caliper cleaning, which I believe should all have been covered under warranty. Furthermore, the key Fob battery was never changed. Finally, the unit needed it's annual inspection and I forgot to mention it, they didn't check this either, so now I have to re-schedule to get the inspection and key fob battery replaced. I expected more from this facility. UPDATE - 30 minutes after posting this, I got a call from the owner of Freedom Nissan, on a Sunday evening to offer to address my issue. This is outstanding customer service and definitely the kind of dealership I would continue to support. We all make mistakes and he was very much interested in making good on the above!! OUTSTANDING.

In the almost two years since the purchase, the few times I’ve had an issue, they went above and beyond to help keep things reasonably priced and fix the problem. They made sure the extended warranty that I purchased, covered a rental car for me when something went wrong with my drive shaft and I was without my car for a few days. They made the calls to Ford (my car is a ford) when they were unable to figure out the problem, and discovered there was an extended warranty from Ford for my transmission. UPDATE: Mort, the owner of the dealership went above and beyond to attempt to regain my trust in this establishment. While I'm frustrated that it took so long to reach even the beginning of a resolution, I am impressed at what hoops he jumped through to make the resolution as painless as possible for me. "Where Service is King" couldn't be further from the truth with this dealership. I bought my car from Freedom Nissan on July 31st. To their credit - I love my car! It was a decent price, but the sales process was... average at best. Pushy tactics, purposefully slow "let me check with my manager" interactions designed to wear me out. Oh well. One of the more unusual portions of my experience was that when we went to test drive the vehicle I was interested in (and ended up purchasing), one of the tires was nearly flat! My sales person filled the tire up and we were off. It was mentioned that "I'll make sure our people will take care of that slow leak for you". The morning after I bought the car, I had to run to a gas station to fill the tire with air. "No big deal" I thought - I knew I had to bring my trade-in's title into the dealership, so I'd bug someone about it then. When I brought my title in, I mentioned the issue to the gentleman I gave it to. He advised that I text the sales person I worked with - so I did! He responded quickly: "I will talk to our service department and get back to you!" 48 hours passed and I heard nothing! At this point I am filling up my tire with air every morning and afternoon. I texted the sales person a picture of my almost completely deflated tire and told him that it was getting worse, and asked if there was any progress... another 48 hours and again, no response. Finally, he responded: "I'm going to talk to the service manager, I'll have him give you a shout!" It has now been almost four full days since then, and I have heard nothing from Freedom Nissan except the texts represented in this review since buying my car. What's funny is that I talked to both my sales person (Jake) and another employee at Freedom Nissan about people leaving 1-Star Reviews on Google. From both people I heard "Oh, yeah, those people just want free stuff. It's obnoxious." Well, here's the truth: Folks are leaving 1-Star reviews on this listing because this dealership is unresponsive and obviously far beyond their capacity in the customer service department. I will not be returning here, as they stopped caring about me and my safety even before they pocketed my money. Freedom Nissan - Let Freedom Ring where Sales are King!

I bought the maintenance package with my lease. I brought the car in for its 15,000 mile service and whenever I'm there, I always double-check to make sure the service is covered in the maintenance package. I was surprised to find out that the cabin air filter is not included. This is basic maintenance! I was even more surprised when I was told that the service cost $60. The part costs next to nothing and there's little to no labor time that goes into it, so $60 seems very high. I'll buy the filter for $6.00 and do it myself. But I shouldn't have to. I also expected the interior floor to be vacuumed. The exterior was washed which is nice, but the vacuuming would go a long way for customer satisfaction. Most dealers do this, and even the Oil N Go I go to for tire changes vacuums. It's a little thing, but an important thing.

Went in for service for my 2008 nissan sentra and was informed i was rolling along in a potential death machine. I was almost done paying off my car and hoped to earn a little bit more from it before it kicked the can but unfortunately that wasnt going to happen. Went shopping around town on july 4th everyone was closed but got a chance to look at my options. The next sunday we decided to go car shopping and again everyone was closed except freedom. Id read reviews and so expected some of the experiences from others might happen. They were busy when we walked in. I was looking around and met one of the sales guys and since being in sales myself and reading the reviews i played a little hard ball with the sales guy in good fun. He made a suggestion for a new 2017 sentra got the keys and we took it for a test drive alone with no sales rep. When we returned after about 20 minutes we sat down and he explained the numbers to us on what they could offer. Needless to say i left signing for a lease for that car because it met our needs and the price even though higher than we really wanted we understood that it was going to be a good deal for us. Overall was treated very well. The reviews of others held some truth, but knowing as the buyer you hold the power to make the deal that suits you made the experience turn out for us. Anyone who reads this take this to heart if you feel any hesitation with an offer walk away untill it feels right for you. Thank you to the team at freedom for putting up with me and my antics.

Customer service at the counter is awesome. However, dropping off a vehicle is very frustrating. You have to look for a parking spot and when you find somewhere to park you hope it's not in the way around this jammed full lot. Now getting out of the vehicle is hopefully a clear day or you're pelted by rain, snow or whatever Vermont throws at you. The facility needs to be updated to keep up with shearer, Ford, Toyota regarding a pull in garage to drop off you're vehicle.

As people generally tend to write reviews only when they're angry, we wanted to take a moment to share our exceptional experience on a recent purchase of used, 2005 vehicle from Freedom Nissan. We purchased this vehicle as our son's 1st car and wanted something sporty but safe and well equipped to handle Vermont's adverse road conditions. We could have saved some money purchasing from a private seller but preferred to deal with a trusted dealership (although even so Freedom Nissan's price was very competitive for a clean Carfax/Autocheck 1-owner vehicle). That was absolutely the right decision. We encountered a serious problem with the turbo on the engine immediately after purchasing the vehicle and in spite of having no legal obligation to help us, the owner of the dealership phoned us expressing concern about our experience and offered to try to help. To make a long story short, Freedom Nissan replaced the turbo with no additional expense to us and and adeptly turned an upsetting experience into a very positive one for us. The vehicle is running spectacularly smooth and fast. We are extremely impressed and grateful for the outstanding customer service and personal attention and while this was our first purchase from this dealership, we look forward to doing business with Freedom Nissan again in the future. We have purchased several new and used vehicles from other dealerships in the area and our experience with Freedom Nissan's sales team, service personnel and ownership has far exceeded our experiences with the others. Our son is thrilled with his car, we feel he's safe and secure and we feel well taken care of by the Freedom Nissan team. Overall I had an excellent sales experience, the car is awesome, and my trade-in value could not be beat. Edit: A few days later, I noticed a blown speaker in the car. I called twice and did not receive an answer on whether it is covered under warranty either time, though I was told I would be called back. I was not called back. I purchased the car as-is, though, so I didn't mind too much replacing it on my own (which I did), I just would have liked a straight answer either way. I'm not adjusting my star rating, though. I understand mistakes happen.

Unbelievable experience. Thank You Freedom Nissan! I took my car to Freedom Nissan for my summer winter tire swap. It was serviced and washed before I expected. I was nearly back to work before I realized my tire pressure warning light was on. When I checked the numbers they ranged from 29 to 39, every tire was different. I called the service department, who were very courteous and professional, and told them how disappointed I was. The next thing I knew the owner, Mort was on the phone, very apologetic for my poor service experience. I said it was not a big deal, we have a tire pressure gauge and a compressor and would remedy the problem. Mort was very insistent that they would fix the issue. The car would be picked up, they would get to the root of this problem and I would get to know what the resolution was.. Within the hour the car was picked up and a (really nice) loner car provided. I had a second call from Mort, within a few hours. He again apologized for my service experience and went on to let me know what they had found. It turned out that the tire pressure sensors on the car were corroded, not uncommon on a car with 99K miles. He was concerned that his service people had not flagged that as an issue. They should, in his opinion have talked to me about having them replaced while I had the car in for service. The parts to fix would run $300. Mort orchestrated having the sensors replaced, at no cost to me. I am truly floored by this experience and the Freedom Nissan commitment to customer satisfaction. I believe they went way above and beyond any possible expectation. I have been taking my car to Freedom Nissan for service for years and will certainly continue to do so. Again Thank You Freedom Nissan! Once again, KUDOS to the Nissan Service Team. Everytime I bring my car in for service I am genuinely amazed at the outstanding customer service. You know that friend or relative who occasionally shows up on your doorstep and you have to pretend to be happy to see them. You're shoving things in closets when they're not looking, and with a heavy heart offer to share that divine chocolate cake you were planing to eat with Jack Bauer for your 24 marathon. Both of you know you rather be anywhere else, and yet here you are. That is how I felt, interacting with Freedom Nissan, before meeting Mason and Mort, like the person nobody wanted to see or be bothered to deal with. In short, I was ready to throw in the towel and be done with them. Every interaction I had previous to meeting them, had been aggravating, exhausting and fruitless to say the least, at one point leaving me without a car in winter, for more than a week. Finding out one of the employees that caused the most frustrations had been let go shortly after, was small consolation. I believe it was at a time during which they were transitioning with Saturn. In any case, after meeting and interacting with them, it has been an entirely different experience. The communication is top notch, they keep me well informed of progress and updates regarding the car, as well as providing me with a vehicle while they have mine. On our way to dinner This is the second time we were going to eat out at a restaurant near the Freedom Nissan. The first we ended up with new Prius from another dealer and this time a new Rogue. We wanted a new car for our trip this summer to CO. Besides the Prius we had a Saab and Dodge Van with lots of miles and a 350 Z. Not the car to travel 4000 miles in. We went in a 3:00 and they were very happy to see us thru the process. It was late Sunday afternoon but the sale was more important to them than getting out at regular closing time. Our sales person Alex really knew the features on the car. We do not buy cars with bells and whistles and we were not pushed in that direction. From the beginning we wanted the best deal on a practical car. They had a good inventory and when we went outside to pick a color we upgraded to one which had a roof rack, backup camera and bluetooth for the phone. Just today I had to go back for some door edge protectors. I was told 1 1/2 hours and they were right on the time. So far Freedom made it real easy to buy a car and their follow up has been good. We don't buy cars often but we would go there first and I am am sure we will get good pricing and service again.

From the buying experience to the service department I've been exceptionally happy. The professionalism of the staff is outstanding, specifically how they communicate what is going on, be it during the negotiation for a new car or discussing what's being done for service. They gave me a great deal on my new lease. It's especially good given that Nissan isn't really discounting it's trucks right now. Only thing I'd love for them to have is a window in to the service bay so you could see your car getting worked on, other than that they have a nice lounge to wait in and the routine service cost like oil changes are the same price as those quick lube places.
