I see a lot of comments here from people who aren't considering what this place is.
What it IS:
• Extended stay/long term
• great for people traveling for work, who need a place to park and appropriate hookups
• reasonably priced.
• sufficient amenities with on site laundry.
• in town, and close to any shopping, restaurants.
What it is NOT:
• A vacation destination. If you're looking for an RV "Resort" feel, this isn't the place.
• rich in amenities. No pool, gameroom, gaming yard, etc. It does have a laundry room though.
• spacious. There are a lot of sites in this park . Most sites are just big enough for your rig and tow vehicle. Your neighbors will be close.
Please consider what kind of place you want before coming here or writing a review. My experience here has been positive so far, but I travel for work. I simply need a place to park with full hookups. Close neighbors,or extra noise from being in town doesn't bother me.
If you are looking for a vacation destination for your family, you'll probably be disappointed. Look at the many state parks and historical parks in this area if that's what you want.
I would recommend this place for the following travelers:
1. Workers/traveling nurses/etc. Iglf you live in your rig while working, this kind of park is great for you.
2. In town to visit family, where focus is on something other than where you are staying. This place is a good option.
3. Looking for a monthly site.
4. Less focused on the park as a destination, and more focused on its utility because you are in town for a purpose, not a vacation.
If you're going to stay here, consider the type of traveling you are doing, and what you expect from your stay. This is a utilitarian park with a lot of long term RVs and traveling workers. If you're wanting a spacious, vacation feel from your rv park, this may not be your place.
I'm leaving 4 stars because I've certainly stayed in nicer utilitarian parks....but I've also seen a lot worse. For me, this is exactly what I need. No frills, basic amenities, full hookups.

Great place to live!! Super convenient!! Great honest owners!! Affordable housing. Nice ponds and trees 🌳 throughout the park! Has a laundromat. Each spot has electric and sewer hookup!! Close to McDonald's and 7-11 in walking distance. Great place that anyone would be lucky and blessed to call home!! …

Not a bad park as far as parks go. Road coming in has some pot holes and there's 3 speed bumps that aren't marked and if you forget that they are there you'll know it. But people are friendly and everyone looks out for there neighbors no loud partys pretty calm and quiet. Not bad place.

Cheap place for the working person as it should be because the train tracks are about 20 feet from property edge where there are rv sites and it runs nite and day. Electric and water included in monthly bill but also not so great place for kids .There is an empty pond in the back there is also a trail and some old asphalt roads on one side old grown up mobile home park. Other cons if you want visitation your expected to pay a fee then the parking will also be an issue. And last to my knowledge you cant wash your rv or vehicles you'd have to pay for somone with a water tank to wash and detail

Hillwood is perfect for long term stays. Been here 3 years and would not go anywhere else. I feel very safe a secure in this park. Doesn't have all the amenities of a tourist park but that is not what I wanted. The owner, park manager and maintenance is very receptive and accommodating. Close to shopping and I 66, very easy for the commuter to get anywhere in the area.

This park is perfect for the cost and location for long term extended stays. Best for those looking for cheaper housing solution with a short commute into Chantilly, Herndon, Manassas or greater Prince William or Fairfax County Area.

This is a 4/5 star place if you travel for work but you will be sadly disappointed if you are coming for a weekend getaway. Not much of a kid friendly place. Pricing is competitive for the area. No wifi or cable, lots of trees makes satellite tough but there are lots that you can get your own cable and many spots have no problem with satellite signal. While it is hidden in the the woods and very peaceful, it is close to everything you could need.

My stay at Hillwood has been the most rewarding experience. The staff is so helpful, friendly, and willing to accommodate customers with special requests. The park is very well maintained with the groundskeepers taking care in the appearance and maintenance. The convenience of laundry on site, mail services, and shopping close by makes the location of the park perfect. The price of the monthly stay with amenities makes it well worth your buck. On a scale of 10, the Hillwood Camping Park gets a 10 from our family.

Please add a message to the phone system; and include there is no admission after 5pm for travelers.
There are very few options for RV parks in the area so if Hillwood is inaccessible after 5pm this is critical information for evening arrivals into or out of DC. Thank you.

No frills RV park that is great for contractors and long term stays. Not a place to vacation or spend a weekend.
