Great place for a family experience. Around the area there is something for everyone. You can relax 8n the park, the kids playing in the water park, kayaking or having a beer or food .

Loved this little park! Take the kids to the splash pad and then in walking distance there is a huge Warehouse It's like a mini mall full of food. Recommend highly!

Great park. Very relaxing. Visited here for the market and checked out all the vendors as well as the waterpark and playground. Was able to find close street parking which was a plus! Plenty of seating around the park and walk ways. There are also picnic pavilions with tables located throughout the park. Kids loved watching the boats by the river.

Someone must've had a romantic experience here before we arrived lol. It's a great place to hang out for a walk, and there were seemingly interesting coffee shops around. Would recommend this for a summer night because when we were there it was very cold in the winter.

Our group didnt go to the splash pad. We just needed to kill sometime before going to the airport. All of the kids were interested in the splash pad. The rest of the park is well maintained, has tons of space and good walking paths. We go to see some wildlife and enjoy the weather!

Really nice , it gets super busy during weekends but the close proximity to river walk and other downtown avenues makes it a good choice to spend some time. You can walk from this park to river walk area and would love to see the ferries goes past by

Great playground for both littles and bigger kids. Play equipment and splash pad are both fenced in, with bathrooms and a small picnic area all within fenced area (additional picnic area and bathrooms outside of fence). Be warned that the splash pad is right next to the play area, so plan on kids being dressed to get wet! Beautiful location right next to the river walk and Ulele springs.

Great family atmosphere different races of all kinds gets along with others. You don't have force the kids to play with family their energy level 🤣🤣🤣 😂😂😂 be so high. If any parents want to find a way to put their child to sleep then here the perfect place form new parents just starting off with their 1 year old or maybe 5 year old then who keeps them up at night or just want to go outside and most parents tell their kids no. Wellllllll parents this answer will be yessssssss 😂😂😂 and they might cry when leaving but it fine... My little girl did the same here first day leaving after a long day. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

It’s a great place to bring your family! It’s right off RiverWalk, do you can easily go to lunch, and then cool off at Water Works Park. It’s also right next to a dog park, so you can bring your dog as well, if you are able to balance your children and you your fur babies.

Sunday was lovely so we decided to check out the Tampa Arts & Crafts fair held here. They had a great turn out, food trucks, live music and more. My only criticism is that the space is very small so only a limited amount of vendors could participate. But it was fun and next door to Armature Works, which is alway a good weekend place to spend some time!

This is a very family friendly place for the day and also excellent to bring the special someone to get to know better... Evening seems best with the lights...it is not to busy but definitely popular... restrooms are a no it scarce hut there are some...bring a camera to get allot of good photo opportunity to shoot... Enjoy your outing...

I love that area with stage and park area. Just the right size for a good time. With the river next to it and the water taxi, it's a wonderful addition to the city. Just a walk down the side walk is a restaurant with nice night lighting for a great evening.

This place is amazing for kids and families to enjoy a day away from home. There's something to do for everyone of all ages. Both wet and dry areas for kids to have fun. Great place for kid parties. The shaded picnic areas are amazing. Enough seating for everyone. The sight lines are great from most angles. Parking isnt that great but if u get here early theres always a spot available. Just don't come after 12noon or you may have to pay for parking in one of the lots if there's no more spots. Not sure of the cost of parking in the lots but if it's reasonable then it's worth the fun your kids will have. I enjoy every visit and will continue to visit twice weekly.

This is a nice location where families visiting or residing in Tampa bring their kids. There is a regular play area with equipment and the other half is a water pad. Kids love it and there are gates that when closed properly keep kids from running off. That being said, downtown Tampa isn't the safest and the park is basically in full sun so definitely apply sunscreen if they'll be playing any amount of time.

Love this place. My kids and I always had fun everytime we come here. There's a designated place for kids and adults. It has splash pad and play area. For adults also, has high end restaurants and bars. It's overlooking by the river. You can walk, bike, jog, skateboard. It's such a nice relaxing place. This place has everything.

Passed through this park on a long walk back to our hotel. It is a calm and beautiful park next to the Riverwalk. My friend found a public restroom and I sat down in the shadow and relaxed for a bit. Recommend to take a walk a long the Riverwalk and visit this park.

First time there came all the way from Jacksonville Florida my best friend took me down to Waterworks I got a chance to walk on the Hillsborough River in a way that I've never seen it so beautiful. I grew up in Tampa a long time ago and just came back to visit but boy Water Works knocked it out of the park love the whole complex the eateries the community just survived the whole field what a wonderful Park What a Wonderful Life dang awesome

I really like the park and the play area, the splash pad and the other things around it... but parking is horrible, there's barely any shade and its gets pretty overcrowded. Not for the people that don't like crowds

I love this park. The one I have back home has nothing on this. It is super clean and nothing is broken. There is no trash on the floor. The kids had a blast and so did the adults. Great place for the kids and family

One of the playgrounds with the highest rating nationwide: + easily accessible public bathrooms + lots of shades for parents in sitting areas under pavillion roofs + picnic tables + unique spider web climbing structure with observation tower on top + splash section with water guns, fountains, and a gigantic bucket that fills with water, toppled over, and splashes kids in 2-minute intervals (see pictures) Excellent playground in a beautifil green setting

The best part of my day is when I go for a run down riverwalk and begin at water works park. The park is clean and well lit up at night. They also have a dog park. This park hosts many events and I plan to make room on my schedule to attend.

Nice little park, with a playground, and splash pad for kids at the end of the riverwalk. It's perfect to cool down a bit after a hot day walk. Restrooms are available and nice restaurants are nearby

Nice refreshing water. But the place is falling apart and they are not fixing anything. The water sprayer are broken and gone. The merry go round is broken and fenced off. If you rent a shelter have your receipt, others can be very rude when you ask them to move from your tables or shelter. Restrooms smell and the handicap buttons to audio open don't work also. Like I said the place is falling apart, but the kids love playing in the water.

It is really a very nice place to be, with the presence of wild animals, lots of trees and the beauty of the river integrated into the city's routine. You will find benches available along the way to enjoy the view and feel the breeze that embraces you. If you want to eat or drink, you will also find good options centralized next to the square.

Best part my kid got to play in the water all day! 30 days ago:It wasn't open today and my daughter and I enjoy going here. It's beautiful because as we dry off, we walk around the water. This splash park is awesome considering it's free right now. It's hard to find cheap and easy to do things especially if you have alot of kids . The only thing is the benches and overhead shade is usually rented out for birthday parties so it could be hard to find a place to sit . But besides that beautiful splash park and wonderful area

This place is fantastic & free! Even the parking is free with a 4 hour limit. There is large enclosed play area for children with water activities. There is a family friendly bar & grille on the property called: U Le Le's. It's located at river walk & is a great way to spend a Saturday & or Sunday entertaining the kids & adults. Great for kids birthday parties too!

This is a great place to take the kids to cool off. Its a mini waterpark with fun water features and a playground for the prissy kids, like my neice, who wanna stay dry! They can wear a bathing suit or just jump in with their clothes on. The best part is that its COMPLETELY FREE. its located near downtown and is in walking distance (literally right next to) Ulele & Armature Works, in case mok, dad or the cool aunt need adult beverages.

The whole thing begins by the Childrens museum, be advised parking varies, on Sunday's you have to be alert if you park on the street as the metered parking goes into effect at 2pm sharp. I chose enclosed parking, that can range from 12 bucks to 20 bucks for all day , the ambiance is great, dress as comfy as you can, the walk over to the eateries is close to 2+ miles but a great walk, just stay alert for bike riders as you share the walk with them, once you arrive at the market place it's a cornucopia of eateries and thirst quenching spots, prices were on the high side for spirits, a shot of Scotch is 25 bucks, everything is set for electronic cash and the process is quick to show you GRATUITY LEVELS! But you dont have to tip.

One of our favorite dog parks! Usually quiet, beautiful waterfront park with kids water park and a small, well covered dog park with a spongy green turf made from tires (I think). You can even spot a manatee on occasion, chilling out by the water taxi pick up. Great walking path and open field, too.

The Water Works Park has been beautifully restored and is a great place to unwind and take in the views and surroundings that Tampa has to offer. Lots of open space provides plenty of room for picnics, Frisbee or whatever you like to do to take the daily struggles of life off your mind.

Super fun place when the have evens going on. However the mat in the playground next to the water space is not Florida friendly at all. My Nephew placed his hands on there and cried immediately because it was so hot! The water feature is good for older children, the bucket dump it a little aggressive for children under 4. What a nice new park for downtown Tampa. It's right on the Riverwalk, has a water park, band shell, and is a stop for the Tampa Water Taxi. It is adjacent to the highly regarded but very loud Ulele restaurant.

I personally couldn't stay at the park because of my challenges walking, I wish I could have, the park is beautiful and if you're fit enough to walk, great!! I wanted to take my daughter to the splash pad , but from what I was told it was quite far from where we were parked. The park is green, and stores around where you can eat, and a taxi boat and electric scooters, and kayaking, and can rent bikes too.

Nice place for kids to play. WARNING: The privilege skins are rude, their offspring bully the minority that come to play. I have had to stop multiple of them from trying to run my offspring away from the water. They were tell my Littles ones that they don't belong and they own the water. It was to much for me. This park is a nice part of the re-vitalisation of the Tampa riverfront. Cool little Manatee pond (none present during my visit), fountains, lawns and benches. The nearby eateries and entertainment make this a nice little stop on your Tampa tour.

Loved the environment! Relaxing, fun for family sharing and accessible through different entrances. A little distance from Armature Works and other great restaurants. Also a great starting point to walk beside the river just to exercise or for relaxing walks with a partner, friends and family. I love this public splash park near the Riverwalk in Downtown Tampa. It’s a great choice for fun with littles on a hot day! The only change Is recommend s this round-a-bout contraption that seems very dangerous and many tots have many falls and bumps and bruises. It’s just a matter of time before an ankle or other bone is broken.

We always love the Waterworks park for my toddler. There's enough shade around the area to sit and observe your children without getting wet. I enjoy that they have a little playground away from the water so if we don't have bathing suits the kids can still run around and play in a separate area. This is always a must stop for our children when we are around Armature Works.

Water Works Park is nice, right next to Armature Works, has a splash pad and playground for kids, has a floating dock for boaters, has a concert stage for events, great place to get your walk, run, or biking in, park closes at 10pm but the Riverwalk is open 24/7

Kids there seemed to have a blast (of water... come on, couldn't pass that up). Multiple bathrooms available. Also fences in to corral the little ones. We don't have kids- was there with friends and their kid- so take what you will, but everyone looked like they were having fun.

Looked like a decent park for little kids. We took my 3 year old niece to play at the water park not knowing that it was closed for cleaning the day we went. She was scared of the loud noise from the cleaning at water area to play at the playground so we left and went to an indoor trampoline park which she loved. Maybe we'll catch the water park open next time

This is a great spot to visit for families and/or couples. Several restaurant options, activities and sidewalks. They offer valet parking as well if you don't want to hunt for parking. There is also a water park with a pavilion if you want to get the kids out for the day and let them run and play. If you want to be on the water, they have the water taxis, floating bars, paddle boat rentals and more. Another one of my fave spots!

It is a nice area with a short river walk and a refurbished warehouse that features many food kiosks and restaurants. We went on a Saturday, so there was also many food trucks and a few vendors.

Couldn't get into Adventure Island. Found this spot on Google and took my son there instead. He had a freaking BLAST. Better yet, it's totally free, has bathrooms on site, is clean, and is right next to a couple restaurants. Parking is a bit of a challenge, but I didn't have to drive around too much. Only negative comment is the splash pad is slippery. My son didn't slip, but a couple other kids did. Still 5 stars all day

One of the best free places to take the kids. It's a hidden gem that's fun for the whole family. The walking trail and the park around there are very nice. There are picnic benches that are covered there right by the play area so you can always keep an eye on the kids as they play.

It seemed pretty basic at first, until I realized it was truly meant just for children. An all inclusive "Splash Pad" of sorts. It's not big, but it's just right for the amount of children who are always there. And off to the side is a jungle gym play area, where you can essentially cool off and relax. The scenery is what sold it for me though. Seeing everyone together, children from all backgrounds playing....really brought peace of mind knowing I picked a good place to spend an afternoon. I am definitely spending many more here as well.

It has a wonderful view of the river and is connected with Riverwalk for a great walk by Hillsborough River. The waterpark itself is great for kids with a splash bucket and is open for free. The park and its amenities (such as restrooms) are clean and well maintained.

Kids loved it! Everyone got along. It's free. Kids were respectful to each other. The large bucket that dumps water onto a roof displaces the pressure and force of the water that drops onto the kids. I was glad for that! The cement benches were uncomfortable for my problematic back. Only wish there was more comfortable seating for adults and some handicap parking.

My daughter loves the splash pad! It is very well maintained and clean. The only issue that I had was that there are not enough bathrooms, and there is not enough seating near the splash pad for the adults. It would also be nice to have some vending machines, because I did not see any. Parking is also difficult. We had to parallel park down the street after driving around.

Awesome splash pad for the kids! My children had a great time throughout the whole park. There's a great dog park as well. The park features some lovely shaded areas which is very important in the hot Florida sun. It is also a riverfront Park which makes for some great views. The park is right next to a great restaurant called Ulele that feature some delicious food in a nice environment.

The area is great for the entire family. Play area is in a shady area, along with the big bucket where the kids stand under to get wet & parents are sitting around watching closely. They even have a dog park in the area as well. You have the river access for walking, along with the water taxi near. The stage available for rental and a restaurant with Vallet parking. All except the restaurant is free and open until 10:00p. Yes, I will go back.

Great park that is split evenly between a splash area, rope course and a slide area. Supposed to be a kids area but can be used by area daycares as a place to occupy their clients kids and those "adults" that watch them tend to also play and get wet with the kids they watch...making it too crowded at times. Best to visit early as the place can get crowded from 10 am on.

Only downside was there was some kind of strange religious sermon on the big stage nearby and you could hear the woman singing from a mile away. Kind of ruined the relaxing view and vibe.

Went to this park a few times, clean & fun for the kids. They have cool things to climb on & water spouts that squirt out of things w/ a huge bucket above that fills up w/ water & eventually tips over! There are bathrooms but we didn’t use them. I’m sure they are typical park restrooms. Also, there are awesome restaurants within walking distance, many to choose from. My youngest loves it here but sadly had my first bad experience at the water park.There were 2 teens telling a little girl, approx age 6 to throw a bucket of water at us 3 moms who were sitting together talking & watching our girls! Most of the water hit the other 2 moms I was with & when I saw the 2 teens laughing & whispering to the little girl again & she started walking towards us with another bucket of water, I stood up & said “please don’t throw that water at us again, it’s not right”. The little girl stopped & a lady walked over, asked if there was a problem, told her what happened & asked her if she knew the other 2 teens & she said no but the little girl was her granddaughter. She scolded her granddaughter & told her they were leaving b/c of what she did. The girl began to cry which made us moms feel a little bad b/c the 2 older teens put her up to it. One of the moms calmly went up to the teens & told them that it wasn’t fair to make a child do things like that & now she has to leave the park & she crying. The 2 teens went & told, I believe there mom & she comes walking over with a toddler but kept her distance & yelled out “hey, you white b*tches”! Game over, we headed out. Went back a few months later & thankfully no bad experience. Sadly, there will always be those ignorant individuals who you’ll encounter but just walk away, don’t confront them. You don’t know what you’re dealing with,

The park itself is quite nice on a regular day I'm sure. We went for the Tampa Riverwalk Food & Art Festival. Many nice vendors and several giving it free drinks and snacks. Unfortunately, it was extremely noisy due to radio music being blasted in between much nicer but brief live performances. It was a long wait for the rest room as there is only one toilet in each of the six (I think) total bathrooms (2 designated male, 2 female, and 2 family) compounded by all the small children changing into dry clothes after running in the sprinklers. Parking was worst of all! Drove around for a long time and had to navigate through several lots to finally get to an open spot after paying $5. There was valet parking but the line was very long as was the wait to be in that line. I hope they can move this event to a more accommodating venue in the future. After what we had to go through to attend for the first time this year, I'm not so excited to go back again.

Great water park in Seminole area. This is a family friendly place for kids and parents. There is a big bucket that fills up with water every so of and then flips over kids and parents! It is fun. This place is near the river walk so it conveniently located near restaurants and outdoor park areas.

Full disclosure, I didn't go to the water area which is meant for small kids. But it does look like they were having a blast. It's got a bucket that fills up.ober time and dumps it out when it's full. Several other water features as well. Mainly juts to get wet and climb around. No slides that I noticed. The entire thing looks really safe but no life guards so it looks like the parents need to stay.

We went there yesterday and had a ball they had something going on in the water park and they had something going on at the Tampa Riverfest it was awesome. They had concerts series. They had Taco Fest VIP Hospitality tent they had hot air balloon glow it was all song. Then they had a lot going on for the Derby as well we saw a wedding take place beautiful. We seen graduations kids congratulation as always dream big. Then we went to the water park kids playing yellow bucket pouring water on everybody we went to the market well they had all kind of food it was a nice Extravaganza they had music from one end all the way down better performing arts building. Great park for dogs, kids, and families! There's a splash pad, dog park, band shell for local events. Ulele is right next door for some good food and great atmosphere. The park is at the end of the Riverwalk which is a true attraction in itself. There's a few docks for boaters and a beautifully restored natural spring. Check out this park! It's worth it!

Very nice place to relax, grab a bite or a cocktail at the outdoor bar. It's a little pricy. The water park is perfect for cooling down in on hot days. There are wide paths for running & biking. Access to the water taxi as well as another ramp for kayaks or canoes for fun on the Hillsborough River. Wow! This is a really cool spot! There was a live band on the stage named Luna Blue who was amazing! There is a fenced dog park there and a fun water area where kids can play and cool off. There are some really good restaurants nearby and it's right on the Hillsborough river so the views are beautiful. The riverwalk is also very cool!

There’s a big bandshell, lots of greenspace for events, a (fenced) dog park, restrooms, and (fenced) kids’ playground and water features. My kids are always excited to go! Love the concept but it's always too crowded. Kids are unsupervised running everywhere crashing into each other and smaller children unavoidably get hurt. Firetruck and ambulance were called for an injury last time we visited. Daycamps will bring dozens of larger children on field trips. They should charge $2 per kid and hire a lifeguard or someone to enforce safety rules.

Great park right next to the Tampa riverwalk. Small concert stage, small waterpark for kids, even a dog park. I don't usually go to parks but if I did have to go to a park I would definitely choose this one.

This place brings the family together. Enough as already been said about the splash pad located here, but the Location and events held here makes this a 5 star location. From live music, movies at night, and a boat slip was not enough the location us breath taking. This area has grown in the last 3 years and i cant wait for what the decade brings.

This was a great deal of fun for my family and free. It was very crowded and the park is located "inner-city", however be cautious of judging the park due to it's location. My kids had no issues and I didn't witness anything that was alarming or threatening.

The splash park is great for the little people. Then there is the walking trail around the water . Restaurants and lots of water activities. You can even take a tour along the water stopping at various activities. I would recommend.

Beautiful park with access to water taxi and children's park, with nearby bathrooms. The kids splash pad/water park is free, and very refreshing! A few steps beyond the park gate, there are waterview restaurants. Very relaxing park.

The dog park was an awesome experience, but my dog was a bit scared since it is a park for all dog sizes. The water park was great, a family atmosphere. Off street parking and you can also rent bikes there for site seeing.

The facilities are great. The bathrooms are clean. My only complaint is the lack of signage for the reserved area. One sign on the edge of the pavilion isn't adequate to keep people from setting up.

I went here on a sunday afternoon with my son and wife. First thing I noticed was a piece of fried chicken on the floor in the childrens playground, within a minute I saw an unsupervised child eating it while walking around, I looked around for the parent of the child, nothing. The child swallowed a few bites before throwing it on the ground. Next thing I see, is other children picking up the leftover chicken, and throwing pieces into the air for seagulls to catch. Some of the pieces of chicken fell on the other children playing around. We told one of the children to stop throwing the fried chicken in the air, he walked off and kept doing it. No parents around. Then after the chicken was done, he kept throwing a plastic water gun in the air, trying to hit a seagull, eventually after hitting the ground numerous times the gun shattered and sharp plastic pieces scattered on the floor, (big accident waiting to happen, with lots of kids running around barefoot). Great place for kids to play, it just can be ruined by unsupervised unruly kids. I think going at different times during the week will produce different experiences.

Clean water park! A lot of stuff for the kids to play on! There's a dog park here, river boat taxi and monuments dedicated to educate the public about great black residence of tampa who changed the city and our country for the better! There is a pavilion here were they have music festivals and booths on a grass field were there's local art work and food being sold at a resent event!

Nice place to go for family fun & you won't have to spend a dime unless you want to. Water works is a public water park right off the Hillsborough river. It's close to 4 star restaurant Ulele and Heights Public market.

Hands down one of the coolest places to visit in Tampa. Armature Works just a short skip away, awesome events nearly every weekend on their permanent stage, a dog park that is quite tidy and relatively well visited by neighborhood dogs, and a great Riverwalk. Very great place to spend a weekend.

This is the place to bring restless kids so they can scream and run and play and get worn out for bed time later, lol. There are many water activities for everyone in the family to do. This is a great location and we came by boat and docked nearby. ****

Best water sprinkler & fountain park in Tampa. It's free and has covered sitting area with tables & chairs. Big open field and walking path along the river. Great photo ops, parking can be tricky on a packed day.

Nice place to go and check out downtown Tampa. Try an Uber skoot but be careful where you go, easy way to get around on a scooter or just use an Uber and get yourself around the Tampa area and enjoy the downtown that has the big Banks and the convention center and the water taxi and some ships and boat lanes that are just spectacular.

Love it live and work with in walking distance love my hood getting better all the time. Had a bit of a Lal but here we go again. Rents are going up. A good thing for some and for those of us that have been working on cleaning the area up will now be priced out. Same as when I lived in Hyde park it was hookers, crack houses and used car lots. Till we got rid of them cleaned up and fixed up then came the money and up went the rents so off to Tampa hights and Ybor we went will did the same thing as we had done it what is now The SoHo district and what do you get after years of hardcore work getting rid of the undesirables snd picking up others trash day after day your landlord wants to raise your rent over what you are able to afford and still eat. It sucks being the gentrification crowd. Were to now have to get to looking for the next place to start on its way up not going to work as hard for nothing but a nice job now get out from the money crowd...sad to have to leave the hood you know and love it's all good though it well cost him in the end in all the work he will have to do and the money he will have to put in the place to get what he wants it won't be cheep and will cost him more in the long run

VERY WELL MAINTAINED PARK, CUTE LITTLE DOG PARK, AND NICE SPLASH AND PLAY AREA FOR THE KIDS. THE BATHROOMS COULD USE SOME MORE FREQUENT HELP, BUT IT IS A BUSY PARK SO I'M SURE IT IS HARD TO KEEP UP WHEN PEOPLE THAT USE IT JUST AREN'T THAT RESPECTFUL OF OTHERS NEEDING THE FACILITY.
