Very cool & fun place to spend some time outdoors! I really enjoyed the multiple pathways around different sculpture installations, and all the detailed information on each sculpture made the experience extra meaningful. The paths are suitable for children and those who might have a harder time getting around because the paths are very wide and smooth and well maintained. There are real bathrooms on site, as well as a cafe! Will have to check that out next time Parking is limited- plan accordingly! Also, the vivarium is not always open so don’t get your hopes up if you visit during the week!

If you haven't been here, or haven't been here lately, it is a fabulous place to visit on the Seattle waterfront. Don't let the name fool you, while there are outdoor sculptures to look at the trail that meanders along the waterfront is the main attraction. You can walk or bike with spectacular views or drop down and access the water to fish or dip your toes. You can continue your adventures along the waterfront to the south with great seafood restaurants and tourist shopping as well as the Seattle aquarium.

This is a neat green space that is perfect for leisurely strolls and whiling away time. It's cool to see an actual railroad beneath the park. Admission is free. There are sculptures, but don't expect to see one at every turn. I think there's less than 10 of them, which is kinda disappointing. I'm pretty sure the Seattle Art Museum, which owns the sculptures, can generously install more if they want to.

What a wonderful place! Outdoor sculptures along the waterfront. There are wheelchair accessible trails (level, not too steep, the gravel/ dirt trails were packed down enough for my chair to navigate). Just a beautiful place to get outside and take a stroll!

A must visit spot in Seattle with beautiful views of the Elliot Bay. Used to live in the neighbourhood and enjoyed visiting this park almost daily for walks/runs. Lots of space for group yoga and picnics too. The running/walking path is nicely paved but can get crowded at times. On a clear day, there are beautiful views of Rainier.

Fun! You can walk like 3 miles one way and skip stones along the water. Kind of sketch when homeless people walk down the path but besides that very good. Great for biking running or walking.

Wonderful place to visit for a brief walkthrough or stay and relax. You can either start on the shoreline or off of Broad St./Western Ave. There are multiple areas to set either in the red chairs or on concrete. During the day you can also sit inside the building that does have AC and some tables and chairs inside or out- there's also a restroom inside. The sculptures are very unique and it's a really cool view if you're looking out towards the water/ mountains or back towards Space Needle.

Great place for decompressing or getting some outdoor quality time. Beautiful views and refreshing air. Interesting artwork and sculptures to stimulate the imagination. Long or short walks will lead to positive mental health benefits.

The sculptures are cool and it has a pretty view of the water and enjoyed the little picnic area that was out there! Wish there were more sculptures though! Come here if you want a cool view of downtown and the water! Nice for just a chill walk!

We had an hour to stroll near the waterfront and headed for Sculpture Park. The views are excellent and the path along the sculptures is a good stroll. I found the art interesting, but I'm not a big fan of some of the creations. So the views are what attracts me here.

Beautiful park stretching along the water between Seattle's 2 main cruise ship terminals. Great for strolling, walking, jogging, bicycling... sitting and gazing at the sea. Other sites of interest along the park include naturalist on duty, rose garden, fishing pier (temporarily closed), grain terminal, and salmon pens.

The viewS! Water view and you turn around and a picturesque Seattle skyline with the Space Needle competed for another great view. The gray, misty, weather even adds to the beautiful feel/view....or, maybe, it's just me that like gray, cloudy days. They have chairs (boldly colored reddish-orange) scattered on the grounds and one could just sit there and enjoy the view. Not too far is a park and the Gates Bridge, more sites to see.

Beautiful view of the Sound and just the ideal location for viewing sunset. The large scale metal sculptures provide great scenery against the nature or the city skyline. Park closes at sunset.

This park is a little unconventional it's more an outdoor galley walk with a zig zag trail that takes you past large and small Sculpture installations. If starting from the top and walking down it ends with a beautiful waterfront view. Enjoyable and nice place for a casual walk with a friend or partner.

Sensebellum

The Olympic Sculpture Park is easily one of the best places to visit in Seattle. It has amazing views of the sound, is free and open, plus features many awesome and large scale sculptures throughout the grounds. Also worth checking out are the excellent "SAM Lights" events that are hosted in the winter. During one such occasion Sensebellum was invited out to provide a custom interactive lighting display spanning the trees throughout the park. Buttons on a kiosk invited people to press them which in turn sparked sounds and light to emanate from the trees and connect the whole park! Select pictures by the wonderful and talented "Jen Au". Thank you again to the team at the Seattle Art Museum!

Beautiful park right along the the piers the path going through the park has its own bike lanes and is very well cared for. The views on a clear day are stunning in this long stretch of the sound I enjoyed for a couple of hours just passing through and then took one simple bus back to where I started. I return from time to time because it's a rare gem to get away amongst the crowed in just minutes walk from pikes market.

Such a beautifully designed park. Lots of greenery benches, and chairs around the sculpture. Overlooks the water, making it a great place to view the sunset over Puget Sound. Lots of walkways to use, and it's so close to the beach as well, making it a convenient stop on an evening stroll.

I’ve had headshots taken here several times in 10 years and I always find something new about the park! The views never get old, it’s peaceful yet there is a lot to see, and it’s in the heart of Belltown, a super urban neighborhood! Definitely come check out the sculptures, water views, and live rainforest tree exhibit!

Cool park that contains installations from the Seattle Art Museum. The park is free and contains a bunch of cool sculptures like Echo (a face sculpture) & The Eagle. NOTE: We visited the Olympic Sculpture Park on September 24, 2022.

This is a great spot to see the sunset. There are many sculptures and you can see them while you walk. There is a small beach where you can see the city and if you walk more you can see Mount Rainier from the bridge.

Great green space to walk your dog or jog. Great views of the bay. Maybe has 5 or 6 sculptures which the Bill and Melinda Gates area I thought was really nicely done. Plan for a several mile walk and walk along the "beach" area also while you are there.

Nice free place with large sculptures spread out in a big park. Unfortunately it was drizzling and overcast when we were there, so we could not see very far, but we enjoyed the brief walk.

This park is a real jewel in the emerald city. We had time to explore it all and also find the geocache and the Adventure Lab. The gorgeous dogwood trees were blooming and since they’re the flowers of BC we took photos of course!

The twin sister of the famous Jaume Plensa monument in Jersey City. One is looking east and one is looking west. Catch the sun rise on the east coast and the best sunset here in Seattle. June 21st sunset in Seattle for the solstice and Dec 21st in Jersey City for the sunrise.

Very clean park with picturesque views.. the chairs in front of the view are very nice to sit on and enjoy the scene as well. There could have been a better way to enter the park (had to walk around the entire side before reaching the entrance) and it’s a bit far of a walk to the water as well. Idk maybe I’m just lazy lol

I’ve run past the park for nearly 5 years and yet never really stopped in to explore the arts. Finally last week I stopped and, wow, glad that I did as this place is amazing. Lots of great art spread out over a large area, my favorite was the undulating Richard Sera piece meant to mimic the hulls of ships.

This park is easily accessible and great to walk through any time of the year. It does close at sunset which is annoying as it's part of an actual path through Belltown to Myrtle Edward's Park. The views at sunset from the park are incredible. Highly recommend getting yelled at to leave so you can take sunset pictures lol.

Great park to walk around and look at the sculptures or to have a picnic on the grass. There are also a couple small beaches with lots of logs to sit on. Only 2 downsides to this park, there’s only one public bathroom about a 30 minute walk from the entrance of the park, and the park itself has a train track running along it. The train that passes by is pretty loud and takes about 10 min or more to pass. But still highly recommend stopping by.

This park has some sculptures with weird shapes. The park is small and has a nice walk around, close to the beginning of the piers. The views are great, specially at sunset. There are some patches of grass to lay around if you want, as well as benches and picnic tables. Perfect place for having a good time with your family, friends or dog and for photography lovers.

It takes time to appreciate the sculpture park. Once you get there, you'll find this static constellation of sculptures full of life. Come on a good day, you'll also be rewarded with a nice view of the sound. The first time I was here, the only thing I ever noticed is the bright red sculpture "Eagle" that is unmistakably a work of Alexander Calder. As I pass by the park from time to time, I started to notice smaller scale sculptures and they are all interesting, stimulating. Louise Bourgeois's "Eye Benches" are disguised at park benches, his "Father and Son" is hidden in a fountain if you don't enough attention. It took me a few months to realize that Jaume Plensa's "Echo" is a human face. My favorite sculpture is "Love & Loss" by Roy McMakin, the red ampersand sign makes my thoughts wander every time I pass by it.

Great park connecting Belltown to the waterfront filled with plenty of hangout spots as well as interesting sculptures. The path is built in a way where you do not need to cross any streets or railroad tracks from Western Avenue to the water. The surroundings always feel safe and people at the park are always friendly. Pets are allowed as well.

Beautiful location, nice walking paths through simulated coastal aspen forest, wild flower gardens, with hidden gems (sculptures) among the garden specimens. It is fun to meander-&-mingle with the artworks, or sit-&-soak-up the sunshine while sprawled on the lawn, basking in seaside scenery - or sit meditatively in the artfully placed orange chairs that are dotted around the park. And of course the larger-than-life sculptures, blending with the natural surroundings provide artful vignettes to delight the visitor or photographer. All free so far as we could determine …

Worth the visit for a quiet time, compared to the pier 57 or the needle park. We walked from pier 57 along the waterfront up to the Olympic sculpture park and then to the space Needle with a wagon with 2 kids. Overall walk was nice and easy on the paved road. To get up the Olympic sculpture park you need to take steps or go up dirt road ramp, so it's a challenge with strollers. The park is nice an be has chairs for public seating and beautiful views of the water and downtown. Free admission

I mean, I love this place- walking through it and looking at the art, hearing the waves. Favorite time to go is sunset/twilight. If you walk the whole park and back, it's a nice little "track". There's only one bathroom at the north end of the park, so just be forewarned.

I went with my family to this park. It's not much of a park, but we did have a nice walk. I expected more sculptures, but nevertheless, we had fun taking pictures around the place. It wasn't very crowded. There were kids playing in the water fountain.

Absolutely lovely spot to visit. Recommend going an hour before sunset to stroll around and look at some of the sculptures. Head closer to the water once the sun starts setting, and you're golden!

Great modern sculptures overlooking Puget Sound! Walkable distance from downtown, just minutes from the Space Needle, and much less crowded. This was a great, free attraction to see in the city! Loved the views of the Sound too.

This is my favorite park for weekend walks. It is near ocean and long enough for a good walk. It has small beaches in it. Also pedestrian and cyclists have different roads. Park is mostly safe. I see several families during weekend. There was a fishing spot but looks like it is temporarily closed. In sunny days mount rainier is visible. Also good point for couples for sunset. For art lovers, there are several sculptures inside the park.

An amazing park to walk in, walk your dog, picnic or just sit on a bench and reflect as you look out into the Puget Sound. Easy flat paved walking. A few places have an incline but can be avoided by going around.

The Seattle Olympic Sculpture Park is an amazing stretch of shoreline, views, art and culture. Free and open to the public, it offers running and biking, picnic and urban hiking. Downtown workers rub elbows with tourists and city dwellers rain and shine. At any time, one can see the Olympic mountains across the Sound, large public art, the Space Needle, enormous cargo ships, public watercraft, and more. It is one of the best resources the city has to offer, especially on a sunny day! I highly recommend a visit.

Beautiful park! It has a dirt track for jogging and running. Perfect for a run besides the Puget Sound. We visited around 6 PM and still found a lot of people working out or just jogging. Looks pretty safe as well.

This is one of my most favorite places in the city. The park is at the end(north)of the water front walk way. As you walk through the park there are sculptures to look at and read about. There are also a few interactive sculptures where, when you interact with it, you become the art, you become the sculpture. And it's dog friendly. Some of the park goes out to the sound. There's a beach there. No sand, just rocks and driftwood to sit on and enjoy the sound of the Puget sound lapping at the shore.

Such an awesome area to walk around, lots of beautiful sculptures and art installations from local artists. Really enjoyed watching the sunset from this area and walking up and down Alaskan Wy, lots of piers, shops and restaurants to enjoy.

This park/trail that follows the shoreline is breathtaking. Views of the skyline on one side with stretches of pebble covered beaches with giant driftwood on the other. Sculpture and amazing architecture everywhere. You even get a clean picture of the city with the Space Needle in the background at one spot. If you miss this while in town, you are missing Seattle.

This is a privately managed park owned by the Seattle Art Museum. It has 24/7 security and closes at night. By far the most well maintained and enjoyable park in Seattle. 100% tent and needle free. Sweeping views of the Sound and a great place to take our dog on a walk.

I live on 1st Ave and go here almost every single evening. It offers great view, is not too crowded mostly, and is well paved. It is connected to other parks which makes for a nice stretch of a walk.

Have seen bits of the park on different occasions and finally spent the time to walk the entire park. What an amazing use for a property that was formerly anything but memorable. This park is amazing in every detail. A definite work of art for it"s landscaping alone, and then comes the sculptures and other installations. Every visual on this piece of land is nothing short of magical. The amount of talent that went into this installation is world class. Take the time to experience this park thoroughly. Sit quietly in the midst of it all anywhere, and just be a part of your surroundings. The experience is a visual delight. . And don t miss seeing the Bill and Melinda Gates Amphitheater too!

Nice park to walk, see the sculptures, enjoy the beauty of ocean . Visitors can sit and enjoy , if outside weather is warm. We can see *Space Needle* from here. Restrooms are available in SAM building nearby park. If it is closed, we are allowed to use it in *Parking* area.

Its a refreshing park at the edge of a bustling city. Bike tracks, jogging/walking track, lot of places to sit, views of islands across sound and filled with awesome residents of Seattle. This place will make your evening work it, specially when its sunny. I've been there several times and have enjoyed a lot every time. Even my parents loved this park.

I loved my time here! This park is better than I expected. There are a few different pathways to explore and there are many interesting sculptures to enjoy. I liked the large red sculpture with a great view of the Space Needle & lots of seating available. The actual building doesn’t contain much, but is convenient for a resting area & bathrooms. I also loved that the Elliot Bay and Centennial Park are right there, with nice walking and biking paths.

Such a cool park!! Very well maintained grounds with a beautiful view of the water. Pedestrian and bike friendly throughout the park and you'll even find little pocket beaches! Definitely a must for those visiting

Absolutely love coming here! Whether I’m studying, enjoying a picnic with my wife, or agitated,...this is the perfect place to come! Whether you’re watching a wedding party, views of Puget Sound, the cruise ships docking, or simply having a picnic, this is the perfect place to be. Views of downtown Seattle are the best!! The crowds are nice too! Not too many transients are loitering as well. You might find one or two. This is also the perfect place to fly kites/drones.

Incredible views and lovely place to walk around and explore. The park is quite expansive, and we felt like we had the place to ourselves. There are trails for jogging and bike riding as well as an area to search for small sea creatures along the bank that is staffed by naturalists.

Great place to walk around and reflect and enjoy the waterfront views. It’s free which is a big bonus while trying to visit Seattle on a budget. The amount of works is great and the walk through the park is relaxing and enjoyable. It is also a close walk to other nearby attractions and a great waterfront view/beach at the end. I highly recommend checking this place out while visiting.

Gorgeous day!! Walk ways, beach, grassy areas.. Stunning views of the water and close by to downtown.... Make a day of it, bring a picnic lunch, play frisbee or play catch....great for walkers/joggers or bring your pet!! Highly recommend!!

Art is subjective, right? Well, the sculptures are just not my cup of tea. However, it was a nice place to walk around and kill some time. There were lots of people jogging around, and families. It's right by the water. You can walk from the park, along the wharf, back to Pikes Market. My favorite sculptures was the Love and Loss. There's a lot of places to sit and enjoy the scenery, or have lunch, weather permitting.

One of the coolest things to do in Seattle today was cloudy but we got beautiful views it doesn't matter what the weather is like it's always going to be amazing. Be sure to check out lost in love sculpture. Also the birch trees proved to be just as amazing sculptures as the man made ones!

One of the more scenic parks in the city. It's a beautiful walk by the water. Doesn't have an off leash dog park but some pretend like it's one. Has two beach accesses and a bike trail. Would make the perfect place for a evening stroll.

View's views view Seattle port, ships, water taxis and ferries. Is not just for bike rides, and jogging, but strolls wide, pets on leach and pedestrians. Parking limited so park at about 2-4 blocks parking is cheep. Come late stay for the sunset. Close to restaurants, sorry didn't see any bathrooms.

I mean for being a few blocks from the space needle at the north west corner of the waterfront you should definitely mark this as a destination and photo opportunity!

It’s the sculpture park of the northwest. Don’t expect tiny sculpture park like one in Oslo. Also it’s a park first that happens to have sculptures or artwork as part of it. One got to explore, discover, get lost and stumble upon sculptures. It’s a great venue to start journey along the Elliott Bay to the north or towards downtown Seattle. Besides the cool building my favorite is Richard Sara’s sculptures. It’s rustic, simple, pure, and amazingly artful. Got me, it requires silent way of experiencing rather that an art inspired discussions.

Peaceful and a wonderful place for a picnic. The outdoor space is open, breezy and offers great views of the ocean. The sculptures are ok but I was more impressed by the views. You can catch a glimpse of the Space Needle and the Seattle Great Wheel from this park. The pier is steps away. I recommend spending some time here, great place to rest and recharge.

The Olympic Sculpture Park is an open area in the Belltown area of Seattle. We called in on our way from Pike Place Market to the Seattle Centre. The sculpture's hold a fascination for anyone interested in the creative arts. With open ended black blocks at one end of the park, and a row of chairs across the middle. A nice way to spend a pleasant and relaxing walk around Seattle with lovely views of Puget Sound.

Rain or shine a place for contemplation and reflection. Works are medium to large scale and paths are gravel, possibly suitable for wheelchair access. I personally for see more sculptures to be added as it currently is a mix of urban escape, running park, and children's exploration. Views are exceptional and is about a 10 minute downhill walk from the Space Needle. I was pleasantly surprised with my good timing to enjoy a sunset with other park goers.

One of the great spots of Seattle to relax. This park has some great views , some unique sculptures and a lot of happy faces. People visit this park a lot with their kids and it's a great way to spend the afternoon. If you love walking and wandering outdoors while looking at large works of art, this is one of the best places to do it. Olympic Sculpture Park is one of Seattle's modern urban parks that features sculptural art curated by the Seattle Art Museum over 9+ acres next to the scenic Puget Sound/Seattle shoreline. It features works by Alexander Calder, local Seattle artists, and more. On my first time visiting, I was pleased to see a familiar sculpture of Jaume Plensa's that reminded me of another one of his in Barcelona. I've also noted that the park also features plants and trees that reflect the native ecosystem of the Pacific Northwest, so there's something for the naturists to appreciate as well. You might even catch some local wildlife hopping about. My third visit to this park was during March 2021 during the pandemic and it was not only a great idea, but a relief as well. There weren't too many people and I appreciated the solitude and peace the park provides. Best of all, this park is free and open to the public.

This is a fun park that crosses a 4-lane road as well as a railroad to get to the Seattle waterfront. Good places for a jog, gaze at the waterfront and sculptures or even to just get from point a to point b. Definitely a must see in anyone interested in park typologies.

This is a nice park close to the land of water west of the space needle. A great place to take pictures when the sun starts to go down. This park also has interesting artwork in some seccions of the park. One of this is the Bird sculpure which is abstract. Also, the Seattle art museum exhibit some art work at this park too. There weren't any workers in the building at the start, so it was difficult to figure out any details about the sculpture park. Eventually, we simply wandered around and saw most of the sculptures. There were several unique pieces, so that was nice. However, some of the explanation plaques we're almost overgrown and hard to read.

One of the green gems of Seattle! A wonderful park with miles of paved & gravel tracks for walking, running or biking through. You will find ample views of the waters of the Puget Sound, easily spot the Space Needle, Seattle Harbor, Stadiums and the Great Wheel. As the name implies, a lot of sculptures dotted throughout the park, created by local and national artists and free for the public throughout the year. A great spot to visit any time of the day, but particularly in the evenings due to favorable westerly views of the sunset.

It was a beautiful day at the Olympic Sculpture Park. The boardwalk near the water was a particularly lovely place to stroll and chat. It would be a terrific location for a picnic or for lounging with a book. This is a wonderful location for a first date, a family outing, to get exercise, to chat with friends about art and life, or to just do some reflective thinking. We're very lucky to have such a marvelous place in our community. Highly recommended.

The day was beautiful is was the end of August so it was such a nice ceremony to have out there on the waterfront there were lots of people walking by it’s right across street from Pike Place market and they were standing around listening to the sermon that was given at the time I just thought it was a beautiful a message. it’s a nice backdrop. This is definitely on my short list for Seattle activities, especially on a budget.

Small park where people can walk among sculptures by different artists, but there aren't many. The interesting thing is that the walk takes you to the city's pier.

Perfect spot to sit, relax, and watch the sun set. If it's a clear day, you get beautiful views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. If you're more interested in people than geography, keep your eyes nearer by; you may see an interesting assortment of folks making their way past your seat or sitting near you.

Great place to sit and watch the sunset over the water. There are chairs and tables spread out over the grassy area at the top of the hill. Closes right after sunset though, so err on the side of getting there earlier rather than later.

I love the Sculpture park. Not because of the Sculptures, they are mainly new age that frankly I don't get, but the views of the sound are AMAZING. This is particularly true on a clear day at sunset. Best of all, this is devoid of crowds and tourists that suffocate the piers.

As a resident who lives too close to this park, I can say it is the cleanest and safest park I have been to. Faces the west side so makes for one of the best sunsets of Seattle. Has small "beaches" which are real good. Amazing for walking your dogs or going for a stroll. Goes best with a Starbucks coffee. Cheers!

It's okay nothing special. The shade is a welcome relief on the path. Let's face it, it's a highway overpass with sculptures on it. I like modern sculptures kind of, not really. If you love modern sculpture then try it.

Exceptional views and atmosphere, however we were actually kicked off of the grounds at one point by a park employee for playing hackey sack on the grounds that there are evidently "no ball play or sports" in the park, so, great location, subpar management and staff. However that shouldn't be too much of a problem, as we were there for hours across two days and this only occurred once.

When Seattle weather isn’t being Seattle weather, the views across the water is great and the sunset is superb if you can catch it. A perfect place to stroll/roll on a dry day. Beautiful Puget Sound views and many interesting vistas and sculptures. The paths are level, hard packed, and covered with small pea sized stones. I was able to comfortably get around using a knee scooter. Nearby paved paths nearby run through parks along the waterfront.

Beautiful clean park with some...interesting sculptures. The fountain isn't my favorite, but the giant Buddha-like head that seems elongated by sonar as well as many other installations are nice for a quiet, contemplative stroll along the waterfront. The small pebble-strewn beach is a cozy little cove that's great for skipping stoned if the water is ever calm enough. The smell of the sea is a wonderful compliment to the rose garden farther along the Eliot Bay trail, and the trail has been renovated and made safer and more accessible along the Eliot Bay waterfront.

During our visit we happened upon a fun, art-inspired mini golf event (a fundraiser) that was going on. Perhaps my attention was too focused on these unique creations that I failed to totally appreciate the actual, permanent installations that can be found there. But nonetheless, it's always nice to have some space in such an urban area dedicated to the arts. And the location / view down into Puget Sound is pretty spectacular in and of itself. Follow the art from the street level right down to the shore! My only reason for a "4 stars" is that perhaps I was expecting to see more actual pieces. While the park is spacious, it seems to me that there's just not as many sculptures at the park as I anticipated.
