Reviews of McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park
Joffrey Drummond
Fun time for the family at a reasonable price. The mini train sets are amazing.the Halloween experience was great for the entire family. Scary enough for little ones and children alike. Saw so many great costumes and had an enjoyable time on the train ride. Spooky train ride I should say. Even during regular business hours the place has a great park for kids to run around and tire themselves out at.of you haven't been check them out you will have a blast!

We are staying in Mesa AZ and went to the park with our friend Leslie and her two niece's. The park is very nice with train exhibits as well as train rides and a carousel. The park is free as are the exhibits but you do have to pay for the rides.
That have 2 train rides with one being much smaller.
The train is a small steam powered unit and rides around the park. It is a lot of fun for both big and little kids. The train exhibits are also nice as you get to walk through restored rail cars .
They also have a nice gift shop and snack shop that sells ice cream and a few other treats. Worth a visit especially if you have kids

This is an amazing place!
I especially appreciate the models room! You can still see people at work building stuff! Very interactive and fun to explore. You can easily spend a few hours there and have not seen it all. "It's never too late to have a happy childhood!"
I feel like a giant peering through the town of awesome-ville and her people.
Visit the Park early in the morning to avoid the heat. The holidays light is awesome, too!
The train ride is cool!
The playground is awesome!
Don't forget to visit the store for some delicious ice cream.
People working there are nice, professional, and friendly!
Thank you so much for this awesome place!

Great place for kids and families to unwind and have fun.
Keep in mind that weekend afternoons will be crowded.
The park usually has many events and they are advertised on banners in advance around the park.
If you enjoy museums or historic looking buildings you'll enjoy this place as well.
They have a snack shop, ice cream and gift shop. If you want a bigger or more filling bite to eat there is a path under the road that goes to the plaza across the street which has restaurants.
The train ride is fun to bring your kids on. The kids get really involved in waving to everyone and listening to the train whistle. It's also very reasonably priced at the moment $3.00 a ticket for an about 10 min ride.
You definetely need to go there once to at least see what it has to offer.

Best train park ever!! One of the best we’ve ever been to. This place has it all! A carousel, the train to ride, an ice cream parlor, a fantastic playground with lots of shade, and a super fun kid size Old Western town! There is also the Pullman presidential car for the grown ups, really cool experience! They have a model train display that is next level, just awesome. My boys (5&7) and I stayed for an entire day and they went non stop. So much fun. Highly recommend! Scottsdale sets the bar high with this amazing city park.
Maddy Lindstrand
Such a cute spot to take your kids!!! We were visiting from out of state and decided to take the kids here. They have the most amazing model railroad building. You could spend hours in there. Touring the old train was also very fun! Our kids rode the carousel and the mini train and played at the playground. The prices for the two rides were very reasonable and everything else was free!! You could easily spend a whole day here having fun. All the employees were very nice as well!
Jackie Acker Garland (Chicago Photo Mom)
Must see for children and in my case, toddlers! You can choose to go here and not spend any money or you can buy train tickets and carousel tickets ~$3/ticket for over 3.
The playground and the railroad museum are completely free and are very entertaining by itself. The Pullman car here was used for four different presidents as their mode for transportation! My husband coined it "train force one". It's on the National list of historical places and is worth checking out.
Brett Levy
One of the best adult- and child-friendly train parks in the nation. Kid and adults can ride the miniature train, picnic in the park and buy treats at the general store. The by far best attraction, though, is the indoor miniature train city. There is also a train museum, and the whole place gets decked out during the holiday season. There is also a merry-go-round for tykes.
Archimedes Octaveus
This is a wonderful park full of history. The ultimate family experience. There is something for everyone, and the dogs are welcome too. There is a playground, a large green space lots of picnic tables and cabanas. Great place for birthday parties. The ultimate experience is the reasons and the museums. Transport back in time, see the history of the park and if the railroads if Arizona. Ride the train which is also extra special at holidays spooky Halloween, magical Christmas and so much more.
Shaun “Laubster” Laub
Always a great visit. Whether you only have an hour for a quick ride & wander or spend the day for a party its such a good time. Fun mixed with history. The mini train museum is a great new addition
Desertfox 247
Very fun park for everyone. Park has train rides for kids that goes around the park itself. Also has Model trains set up in the building for you to view as well with all different size scale. Some of the displays even interact at well.
Tulasi Lakshmi
We had a nice time at the park. They carousel and the train rides are fun for both kids and adults alike! The Halloween decor adds to the experience at the park. The little model trains in display are amazingly done with all the intricate details! One can plan to spend an entire day here with family and friends.
Bob Lee
A surprising little gem in Scottsdale. Kid friendly with a mini train ride, carousel, an ever-changing model train museum and a large, clean park. I’ve been there each time with my family during my last two trips to Phoenix.
Mary Vassallo
Beautiful little gem nestled in a matching LT charming town. Tons for kids to do of all ages. The carousel moves quicker than most so hold onto to the little ones. The train was super fun and the museum is a MUST. I could’ve spent many days in that museum and not seen everything.
Laura Senff
Buy your tickets in advance for the holiday lights! It was so much fun. A bit of a long wait for the train because we arrived promptly at 6p but still well worth it! We all enjoyed ourselves and we'll be headed back before the event is over!
Linda B. Gallo
Lovely holiday night out with family. Train ride longer than expected with 2 surprises, beautifully decorated, carousel ride, huge miniature train museum. And a visit with Santa Loved! Loved it all!
Shohil Patel
The most underrated place. This needs place needs more crowd. The way they have maintained, all detailings, keeping tracks clean, ensuring all trains are running smoothly yes this is all they have done. Must visit place for kids
Juan Valles
Love this park! We regular this park and live 45min-Hr away. Definitely worth a visit if your around and have little ones who need a change of scenery.
Amy Pennington
10/10 recommend if you have kids! (And to be honest us adults had just as much fun) plan to stay for a full day because there is SO much to do! The staff is all wonderful.
Sean Fitzgerald
This is an amazing park. We are lucky to have such a great place for the kids in Scottsdale. The train has been running for years and I'm so glad we kids get to enjoy it like I did.
Brian H

I took my parents, 2 nephews and niece today! We rode the train, the carousel and had a picnic. The park was pristine and lush. The playground were clean and safe. We had a wonderful time!
Carl Miller
Lovely park and activities! They have a good park and play setup with plenty of seating and shade. The train ride is awesome for little kids and the service around the park was great. Excellent choice for an afternoon playtime or visiting during the holidays to see the light show!
Joanna Kelly Lyons
Ohh my goodness we haven't been to this park in over 30 year's.
YES I SAID 30 YEARS ! 😂😂
We couldn't believe how Beautiful it was.
When we went their was only the Carousel and Train .
Now it's soo much fun . We had my Grandson Kani birthday party.
Their was plenty of shade and the playground was completely covered on top .
I can't say enough how Beautiful it is .
I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PARK TO ANYONE.
CALL TO CHECK HOURS AND WHAT THE TRAIN RIDE COST .
I believe that you can also make Reservations for Birthday parties.
Ohh my goodness I can't say enough.
Rustell
McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park is a wonderful place to take the kids. In addition to the train, there is a carousel, a train museum in a train car, the largest model railroading display I’ve ever seen, and two playgrounds.
The railroad hosts multiple events throughout the year (many need reservations/advanced tickets so check for that).
Juan Rodríguez
Wow that a great place my two little kid's loved enjoy with the ride on the small train the park is very clean , great and perfect the museum great condition and the model trains are magical 😀 😊 from beginning i planning to visit Phoenix just for this area and was perfect 🥰 💞 …
Rob C
Really nice Christmas decorations just went up! I believe it is open to the public for free all day until 5pm. Then it is $15 and you get to ride the train and Carousel with that.
There is ice cream, pizza, pretzels, and Hot Coco for sale as well.
Alexis Telles
Great place for kids and families. Reasonable prices with some free activities. Not too crowded during the week. The interactive model railroad is amazing.
Carter Fox
Great family day park. Neat history and information Wonderful upkeep. Everything was clean and well maintained. This was our first time and we were very impressed.
The Pullman train tour was like stepping back in time.
Ella Davidoff
So much fun! My son loved spending a few hours here seeing the trains, riding the Carousel and of course riding the train around the park. Free admission and the rides are only $3 per person. Highly recommend!
S Bockbrader
Awesome park! Where else can you ride a steam engine!
I do wish they would fix some of the slottchy padding on the play equipment but it's not hurting anyone it just looks bad.
The kids love the modle trains on display too
James Janidas
Great Halloween Train ride. The miniature model trains were awesome too. There is a gift shop, and there is also a place where you can buy food like hotdogs, ice cream and beverages.
Marcus H
Excellent park to visit.
Good for Family and friend.
You can ride a train. With you children.
Matthew Dunn
First time here and really enjoyed it, nice carousel, fun train history and the coolest and largest modern train park I have ever seen, and it is even indoors!
Dale Hicks
Love going to this park. We took a couple of our grandsons (1 & 3 yrs) to play in the park and ride the train - nd they loved it! Lots of differing climbing structures and a variety of playgrounds kept them busy. Great park.
BC
So much to do here! We enjoyed their Halloween event. Some of the things were open like the Miniature Train Exibit but we'll definitely be back during the day to see everything else.
Bridget Sterling
We attended the Red, White, and Choo-Choo. It was phenomenal. A ton of bounce houses, water slides, bubbles, pie eating contests, train rides, and live music made it a great event. It wasn't too packed and very family friendly. Very peaceful compared to other 4th of July events. My 8 year old said it was the best 4th of July ever.
Heidi Leyva
This is a wonderful place for young kids. There is the train and merry-go-round that you can spend a good amount of time on for a very reasonable price. The snacks and gift shop are also surprisingly affordable. This park also has a large play ground and other play areas for kids. They even have a real train kids can climb on.
Mateo Martinez
Been going here since I was a baby.
I’ve been going here since I was a baby and what can I say rather than it’s the best free place I’ve ever been to. That’s right this place is FREE. The only thing that costs money is the gift shop, train tour, and train ride. Either way it’s still worth checking out!
A Tone
Went to the Halloween train park and had a blast. The staff there are always kind and courteous. This place is a must go.
Jayden Miller
First time visiting! It was great. The train ride was fun and the model train exhibit was fascinating! You have to check this place out! Highly Recommended!
Anyelina Veloz
I love this park besides it's a small park compared to another in the city. We loved the ride on the train ($3 per adult)/ the courrusel and MOST OF EVERYTHING the permanent exposition of little trains.❣️🚂 BUT I have to tell you that we almost get robbed while were in the line to get the train, a gay try to took out stroller, he didn't because I saw him on time and yelled at him that was mine while he tried to took it
Shaun Robbins
Great holiday experience! Got to ride the train and merry go round twice with less than 5-10 min wait. It was organized very well!
Charles Gee
Don’t drive by this walk down historic Phoenix. And a wonderful tribute to the US Armed forces. Pleasant park for picnics. Safe.
Katherine Frink
Such a fun morning at the railroad park. Train ride, carousel, model trains, so much to see and do. Clean restrooms and a great playground. Decorated for Halloween now too!
Aaron Hamilton
Nice kids train themed park, museum, playground, snack concession stand, ice cream, rides, picnic tables.
Colin Robinson
Great Park with many family activities that are very affordable. There's a train to ride, merry go round and multiple playgrounds as well as a model train museum. The train museum was closed when we went due to it getting to hot in the summer months. Make sure to stop by the treat shop and get and ice cream or float.
Kristina Urena
Such a great park! Seriously recommend for kids. It feels like a mini Disneyland (seriously). The grounds are so beautiful and the train ride and carousel ride were so fun. There was a wait for the train but it wasn't too bad. You do have to pay for the train and the carousel but not to just get in. There are also several playgrounds and tons of grounds for picnicking.
Larry G
Nice place for a walk, a birthday party or a picnic. A must see for train enthusiasts & aficionados of all ages. Fun for the whole family. There's a small museum, railroad cars & station, a snack station caboose, carousel 🎠 and playground. …
Evan Smith
My kids love this park. There is a train ride that goes around and a carousel for the to ride on. There are also two separate jungle gym play areas to explore. If you want to learn more about trains and their history, there is a walk through exhibit which is pretty neat and there is also a miniature model train room which is very impressive with working trains through hand crafted and maintained miniature villages. During Christmas there is an evening light show which I've heard is really neat, but be sure to order well in advance since the tickets sell out fairly quickly.
Edward Wester
Grate place for you and kids it's just a nice place to have a picnic and have a great day 😀 …
Michael Robinson
Really fun train park. Lot’s of cool historical train information. There is a model train museum and several other train themed shops
AMBER HUNTER
What a great park! Nice little find as we were looking to kill some tome and burn some energy. Great playground, the kids loved the little Western City to climb on. The train ride was a great surprise, very nicely decorated for Christmas. Wish we could’ve seen it all lit up at night. Didn’t get to check out the train museum, maybe next time. Awesome park to have a nice picnic in.
Robyn Heffington
What a wonderful park to take your family to! My little girl loves the carousel, train ride, and playground! Beautiful grounds, and great model train building! The historical train cars are fascinating! I, absolutely, love this place! Highly recommended!! 5 Stars!!
Brett Scheuber
Great free train museum with fun little and interesting attractions and lots of space to explore. Good for younger kids
Mike Tarsus
Went for a birthday party. Kids yelling, playing & having fun EVERYWHERE. It's great to hear those sounds! The park is clean. The train theme (complete with a mini-train ride) is awesome. Highly recommend a visit.
Bridget Kelley
Lots of space to play and see. A pretty clean park as well. We enjoyed our time there. Plus the train was super fun!
John Lang
We had a nice time looking at the railroad cars and the multiple miniature trains. So much fun to watch all the different miniature towns, fairs, tunnels and scenes with trains passes through. The park is oriented for children but fun and interesting for adults. We just had our dogs, no kids, and we enjoyed the time at the park. Dog friendly but not allowed in buildings or railcars.
Monika von Tagen
Small, clean park with grass areas and trees. Plenty of benches and tables - many in the shade. Great place for a 30 min stroll even without kids. A few historic trains of interest to check out. A lovingly maintained model train exhibit with many interactive features. Plenty of pop culture figurines (Marvel, Minions, Frozen...) spread across the exhibit to keep the little ones engaged. Will revisit in the future. - Has its own medium sized parking lot. No entrance or parking fees.
Rick Socha
This was our 2nd year to go with our daughter, her husband, and their 23-month-old son for the Halloween event here. It's a great environment and full of people (many in costumes) enjoying the event. There's the normal merry-go-round, and train rides going through a well decorated course. It's actually a little scarier than I'd expect for young children, but I didn't see anyone bothered by it. There's also a few places where kids and adults can put their faces in for photo ops. It's a great way to spend 90 or so minutes during the Halloween season, and we're already planning on going again next year for Halloween (I think they have a Christmas event too but I'm not positive). Not to be ignored but there's also a building housing model trains that's fun for everyone, it even has many portions for a child to activate something to happen within the train sets.
J S Chhabra
An excellent place to spend good two hours with children on a weekend at 3 dollars per person. The train is a big attraction, it takes a round showing various spots on the way. Children's play area is so good. Enjoyed an evening with family and kids.
Joseph Robson
Beautiful park with trains! Hot in the summer. Huge playground, lots of grass and picnic tables and ramadas.
Richard Stokes
During our vacation, we met up with some local friends at this amazing park and we were blown away by how much fun we had. The park is absolutely beautiful and offers a great size to enjoy all its offerings. The rich history and thrilling experiences surrounding the trains were simply outstanding!
We paid only $3 per person to enjoy the mini train ride and the carousel, and both were definitely worth the money. The train museum was full of fascinating history and it was free to enter.
To top it all off, the model train building was an icing on the cake and it was also free! We were absolutely amazed by the three 1200 sqft model train exhibits brought in by four local train clubs. The volunteers who run this building brought their craft to display and it was simply beautiful. I even got a chance to talk to one of the volunteers and learned that each club has its own size of rails, which allows them to highlight different aspects of model trains - some focusing on fun and flashy designs, while others going all out on the realistic modeling of the local Arizona area.
Whether you're 3 or 103 years old, this park offers something for everyone. If you're in the area, I highly encourage you to check it out - the whole family will enjoy it! In short, McCormick-Stillman Train Park is an absolute gem and definitely deserves a 5-star rating.
Ryan Wee Sim
1,000 stars! This place is a must-visit if you have kids, or anyone that loves trains. You can ride a fantastic small-scale replica train and see meticulous model train setups. It also has great playgrounds and reservable picnic spaces. Guarantee there will be requests to return.
Kathy C. Parker
Train ride was fun, especially for my 2yo granddaughter. It takes you around what I believe is the entire park. Cost was $3 (on 2/4/23). It is an open seating (no cover overhead) bench style ride that was approx 5 mins.
She also enjoyed the carousel ride. The playground area has swings and playground equipment - one is marked for "kids 5-12yo". Lots of tables, and benches. There were several birthday parties going on. Restrooms available.
Denise todea
First time here. Great place for the whole family. Loved the $3 dollar train ride. Enjoyed the train exhibit. Definitely will be back when our son is not a baby and he can physically interact and enjoy the place himself.
Ned Netherwood
Great park with museums, a playground and a couple of rides. Definitely a great way to spend some time with the kids.
Sean Salazar
Great place to bring the kids or people that love trains. Went there during the Christmas lights and was great value (4 year old with me). The train museum with the model trains is top notch and jaw dropping. A great place to spend 2 hours for 10 dollars
Roy Jorgensen
Really cool, free, wish I had my girls along
Erin Manahan
Love this park, there's so much to do like ride the train, the merry go round, look at model trains, and there's also two playgrounds and large grassy areas with many picnic spots. There's a place to buy snacks, and a spot selling ice cream. Great place to take kids.
Mark Glenesk
Allow 1-2 hours to explore the park depending on weather or not to take the mini train ride. It's FREE! but if you want to take the train it's $3. There is a great free museum and two railroad cars to go in. A Pullman baggage/dining car and the presidential car which four presidents used. There is also the Merci Car which is one of the original little boxcar that France delivered to Arizona full of gifts to give thanks for saving France in WW II.
Barbara Kennebeck
Kids had fun! Took the train ride with 2 yr. Old $3 for adult 2 yr. Old was free! Wait for train wasn't too bad about ten minutes. Food was closed due to covid.
NIKKO TANIS
I go to this really fun place every year and eat with my Ahepa group and I always make sure that I ride the train... its always lots of fun! Great times with friends!
======10-22-22=======
This year again was an awesome day at McCormick Ranch Stillman Railroad Park today! This year I brought my neighbor John! He was really fun to be with this year even though he really didn't know much of the people because he's not part of our AHEPA group, but he did enjoy a free meal today, and I had the extra spare money of the $3 for him to ride the train with me today. It was a lot of fun and a train conductor even let me take pictures of the innards of the engine as well as some of the front pictures of the engine itself!
I also took my neighbor inside the miniature part of the railroad tracks where he can see all the work that the members have put in to always build the track and make it better every year ! Some of the members were very open to me and we talked a lot about trains and how they run and other intricate parts of the systems . I can only hope that I'm able to go next year even that I'm working a part-time job like it was this year . Keep up the good work gentlemen at the miniature railroad museum. 👍🇬🇷

Great playground! Along with train and carousel rides, awesome place for kids.
Jess Avila
My 3 year old loved the model trains! We spent a few hours at the park and mostly in the model train building. The gift shop had some nice Melissa and Doug toys.
Rut Brea
There was a wonderful experience! I took lots of photos, some one, had a drone and took pictures of the valley and mountain near by and transferred the pictures to my phone. There were lots of people visiting and I had lunch at the small food location. Wonderful trip.
Bobbijo Griffin
Had a wonderful time with the family there's quite a bit to see and do,your children will enjoy it very much and the adult children as well, there is also interaction buttons in the train house that the kids can press an activity button and see certain parts of the tracks move or should I say the trains
Ruth Gates
Beautiful! Very cool setup with trains all over, a carousel, a model train display. Nice shade over the past area.
Ronald Bell
I'm at the park to walk my Australian shepard and have joined a lovely group of regulars and seasonal visitors, many with Golden Retreivers. We have great conversations and the dogs get along very well, so great fun for all. There is a leash requirement so we are mindful to only allow the dogs off leash when all the the critters are known to each other and stay in a remote party of the park. The coffee shop now serves Seattle's Best Coffee so that's often worth a sit down when they open at 9:00. The park is very popular for young kids with the playground and of course the train rides.
Érica Oliveira
Lovely park, with a free playground for kids, and two paid rides: carrousel and the train. Very clean and a small store with great ice cream. It is worth the visit. They have lights and decorations on Xmas.
Loretta Brock
My family and I enjoyed this park. We went on the day ride in and came back for the Halloween night train. My father was a Railroad worker for 75 years so this was an excellent place to take our family. Loved it👍👍👍👍👍👍 …
Samantha Taylor
Such a cute place to take the family that is affordable, fun and a good change of pace from the regular parks. They have two train rides for kids and so many cool things to look at.
Shantele China
Been going here since I was a child, and now get to relive the experience with my own child. It’s always a blast, and it’s affordable to ride the carousel and train. I don’t think I’ve ever had a negative experience here or with any staff.
Randy Packer
The holiday light displays are great! Every season they change it up a bit. Anyone who likes trains even a little will enjoy themselves here any time of year.
Tiffany Moyano
Oh man!! A $10 wrist band gets you everything for all day long. Excellent shade throughout the entire property. The playground is covered so it doesn't burn the kids. We will definitely be coming back. And the gift shop is reasonably priced. Got a hat for a few bucks and a.c. train whistle even cheaper. :)
Gloria Weiss
Amazing place for kids and anyone who loves trains. Very affordable for a day of fun. Train ride and carousel only $3 per ride, the rest is free or optional donation.
Walther Cantu
This park is a family favorite. We come to this park year round and always have to get a train and carousel ride in with every visit.
The covered play are for the kids is pretty big and well kept as well as the wild wild west play area.
The miniature trains are always fun to watch and a big hit with the kids because they can touch the glass and make the trains move.
We've done pictures with Santa twice at the park and we're very happy with the memories made.
We even had one of boys' birthday party in the park and the staff was great and everyone had a pretty good time.
It can get crowded during the Christmas season but all the lights set up it's truly worth it. Pro tip: If you don't like crowds, swing by the week after Christmas.
Food is available, affordable and good in general. Staff is generally friendly and kind. Would recommend for families.
Aleksander Bentoske
I've been going to this park since I was a kid. Just as fun for kids as it is for adults, and there's plenty to do for any price range. I wish the arboretum train was open more, since that's the only one I seem to never catch.
Shawn Gallo
Nothing but good things to say about this place. It is a go to if you want ro ride a mini railroad train with children or just with adults as the case may be. Railroad aside. There is a museum, snack bar, and a few very cool playground areas. I visited this most recent time with my 8 year old and she loved the train and the carousel. Because it was summer the museum and snack bar were closed but I believe they reopen when things cool off.
Philip Welch
Great little park with large playground, carousel, train, min-train museum & an antique Presidential train you can tour. It also has nice Holiday Light Exhibit. Don't miss it!
V K
Nice park with narrow track train ride and train related exhibitions. Playground is railroad themed. Was kind of busy for a weekday, but wait times were not too long. Free admission, but you have to pay for the rides.
Natasha Tomlinson - Arizona Realtor
I haven't been to this park I'm a few years. It was fun to see how excited the kiddos were able the train and Halloween decorations. We'll definitely come back closer to Christmas
Jennifer Faux - Campbell
Great place for young children. My son enjoyed the train ride and carousel. There's a lot of open areas for kids to run and burn off energy. We enjoyed our visit.
Vinyl Record Dude
They have great Halloween and Christmas themed train rides
Aaron Wood
Fun place to go and see all sorts of trains. There's four model train clubs with layouts you can see for free and even a couple of full-sized Pullman passenger cars as part of the small railroad museum there. Train rides are also available on live steamers and slight larger than live steamer-sized trains. Good place for all ages.
James Davis
Fantastic park for the kids. Train ride is awesome and longer than I thought. The carousel is nice but spins pretty fast. Kids really enjoyed it!
Steve Murphy
Wonderful place, kids will love it!
denise eaton
It has been a pleasure to grow with this park. I remember playing there as a kid and being so excited to ride the train and now 20 years later, I'm taking my children to this park. Updated but still wholesome. We love this place. Concerts in the summers are awesome.
Nick Wade
I've lived in Phoenix for 12 years and had no idea this place existed. Even though it's different with masks and social distancing this is still an absolute great time (especially with young ones 3-8 years old or so). There is a ton of grass park space, picnic benches and even some pavilions to have a picnic at or get family and friends together.
The train ride was well worth the $3 per person as it wraps around the scenic campus complete with a tunnel and bridges.
There are multiple covered playgrounds suitable for multiple age ranges (even a misting "pit".

Best place ever to take your kids!! Not too expensive either! Carousel and train tickets were $2. Try the ice cream too, so yummy. Playgrounds are covered and mostly in the shade. There are water misters on the playground so be prepared with a towel or extra set of clothes. Great picnic areas too. Best family outing ever!
Shirley Austin
Special event by Scottsdale, for families with special needs. Very well done, very accommodating to the special needs with compassion. We all had a wonderful time and the Holiday Lights were awesome.
Lam Rom
We went to the park to ride the Holiday train. The train ride was very magical and the lights were very festive. There are characters that you can take pictures with. I would recommend that you get there early. We splurged and got the fast passes, which I highly recommend. We got there at 5pm and waited 20 minutes for our tickets and 10 minutes for the train. They only have 2 cashiers for tickets to get on the rides. Which they need more cashiers as when we left the park at 7:15 pm the line was an hour long just to get the tickets. The line for the train was over two hours, so your entire wait would be THREE hours, not worth a three hour wait in my opinion.
pastor gary hcfrc
The train ride is great it's not long but it's slow it's good enough to enjoy the ride I recommend this train ride this park is awesome just put my daughter's birthday today at the park she had a blast
Marsha Lance
This is a great place to bring kids. Pet-friendly. The model train club has a fun display in one of the buildings. A cool play area that looks like a pueblo and more jungle gyms. A triple slide! I've never seen that before. The gyms are for kids younger than 12. Part of the park was blocked off for the Holiday Lights train for Christmas. We will return after Christmas to ride the train and enjoy the lights.
Ed Hernandez
Great experience! Super friendly staff, beautiful light displays and just an all around fun place for the family. Can't wait til next year!
Andrea Nelson
Great park, Christmas lights were enjoyable and well decorated. Display trains were phenomenal and staff helpful in educating, loved the interactive experience.
Jung-Mee H
Nice park and small museums for kids age under 6.
Ryan Anderson
I go every year with my family for Christmas, we really enjoy the lights and the train ride! They put a lot of work into their display, and they have a new system in place to stagger train rider arrivals so the line isn’t a mile long.
Vanessa Glady
I came here in high school when the land was donated to the City of Scottsdale and saw the plans for the park. Scottsdale lived up to their commitment by building an amazing park packed with fun and history. Originally the miniature trains were in the farmhouse, they now have a beautiful large building in the back of the park. Scottsdale has added the history of the Merci Train from France after WWII and has a car from that train. The play ground is large and covered. There are several sets of restroom on site and there are snack areas to purchase food and drinks. There are small scale trains to ride on and there are plenty of full size cars and a locomotive to keep every train enthusiast happy! There is also a museum and items for sale. This is a wheelchair friendly park!
Thomas Tamayo
Great place the the kids and grandkids the Christmas displays are great, the hot chocolate very good. Train ride is excellent, don't forget to wave at people.
Stephanie Boeth
Went for Christmas lights and a train ride through the park. Such a fun experience for littles. Unlimited rides on the carousel and train Is just an added bonus!
Matthew Ronnebaum
My wife and I went here a few weeks ago to explore the model trains, but it also had a relaxing park along with a toy train that kids and adults can ride around the park in. There is a full sized train parked in front, but can't be toured until the fall. Overall this was a fun place to visit and we look forward to coming again.
Alex Bridgeforth
My 2 & 4 year old loved this park. We rode the bigger train and the smaller model trains and they loved it. We even enjoyed the model train museum, which is free and they could make Money on. We also rode the merry-go-round. And lastly they enjoyed the huge play ground on the side of the part while we sat and relaxed in the perfect Scottsdale weather.
Rene Shaddox
Enjoyed a hour or 2 here. We checked out the indoor train track. Also road the little train around the park. There was a carrousel, play ground and picnic tables.
missie Anton
Went to see holiday lights was really nice for Littles kids not too expensive and reserving time slots worked out much better...really enjoyed it with family.
Meagan Street
Very clean and well maintenanced. Playground very large. Main area is free. Museum, train ride and carousel costs a small fee. Great picnic area. Lots of parking. Easy to find.
Matthew Paul
What a fun place to go I have never been anywhere like this, they has 2 train rides one big and one small. A beautiful train museum for you to go through, they had a courosel, play area, and 2 different places to get snacks and the model train exhibit was amazing. I will definitely be back
Elmer Hill
Great place for kids and almost everything is free. We visited almost every other day while in town after my son visited the first time.
Playground for kids, train rides and a working electric train center that is filled with staff and hundreds of trains.
Kari Cooling
The best park! So much to do you could easily spend most of the day there. Don't forget to check out the train museum, kids love it.
Liam Breakwell
Beautiful, beautiful park. We were there for a birthday party and were also treated to a train ride...SO MUCH FUN!. I especially loved the miniature trains and touching the various areas around the displays to see the trains move around. Huge kudos to the guys who keep those exhibits running. Overall it was such a fun experience and we will for sure be returning here again for another great experience!
Candia Benjamin
I took my son here today. He absolutely loved great playground, carousel, and train ride. The park includes an old-established theme playground and a train museum. This location is a great place for families with young children.
Aric Overton
I didn't even know this existed! Fantastic park filled with rich local history. Great little rides for kids and families, also a great place to learn about trains and the local impacts.
Erik J
Outstanding venue for a kid's birthday party! We had a railroad car reserved for games, cake, and ice cream. The hosts were great with the kids, and all we had to bring was the cake. All activities were jammed into 90 minutes of fun, and the adults all had a great time too. The train ride lasted about 5 minutes, and the carousel ride was about 3 minutes. The kids loved it!
We brought presents and beverages, but we didn't really need the beverages, and opening presents unfortunately cut into the game time. Despite that, it was a great time and a good value for a quick Saturday morning party. Thanks to everyone at the park!
Emmanuelle Caumont (Ask Frenchie - Realtor)
It is a flood place for kids to come and play. The grounds are ruberized, so soft enough when a child falls down anf it doesn't get as hot as hard concrete.
Kids from 10 months old to 6 years old share the space, climb on the fun structures and enjoy the views of the many train rides running around them.
It's a great park to improvise a picnic, to organise school students outings and or go on a train ride.
Have fun but beware of all the kids playing at the same time on the structures. Accidents happen fast so it is not a place for parents to completely relax. Do keep a close eye on your kids while enjoying the park's many amenities!
Heidi B
My kids always ask to go to the “train park” when we come to visit. Reasonable prices to ride the miniature train and have a snack. We love to go to the model train museum. The western park behind the train is one of our favorites, the kids love to pretend to ride the western carriage, rob a bank and go to jail 😉There is also a great playground with shade and fun for all ages. Be aware that the bathrooms aren’t great. It’s fun to go at night and a lot cooler but the museum and train rides close at 7pm. The playgrounds are lighted and you can play there till late.
Emma Ortiz
Great park. First time there. We loved it. Road the train, played at playground and celebrated a birthday. Kids has a blast.
David Pierce
We are so lucky to live close by to this amazing place. The kids love it every time. From the Trains to the playground to the birthday parties and events! Clean, well run with a friendly staff. And don't miss the Holiday Lights!
Jean Peplinski
Beautifully maintained park, they could charge a mint to get in there but they don't. Great museum, lovely grounds, and the model railroad building is Must See! They even have great snacks at a totally reasonable price, perfect place to bring the whole family.
Philip Brown
This place is so much fun for young kids and families. It's run by the city of Scottsdale and a great value for every dollar you spend. The train ride is definitely the highlight of the park, but the miniature train museum is a close second. The museum itself is actually free, and my 3 year old could spend hours walking around and looking at everything!
Lindsey Nemcek
Such a fun, expansive park for little ones! For $2, we took the 10minute train ride around the park. Our 2-year-old loved it! We also rode the carousel - a dizzy experience as an adult. Lots of shade to relax.
Ghassan Abuelian
We went during Christmas. It was all lit up with wonderful decorations and lights. The track was also well decorated and lit up with the transsiberian music. There was, however, a long line of people trying to get their tickets for the train ride. There was only one person on the registers.
Joshua Coats
the mrs's is a stillman so this was something we had to go check out, timed perfectly with the christmas lights which made it really cool to see at night...downside is most of the buildings are closed at night so you miss out on most of the museum stuff. but they had the larger train station area open with all the various trains scales running and on display. plus you can take a ride on their train through a fun little christmas lights adventure
Michael Maney
Cool railroad History Museum with a lot of information to keep the adults engaged as well as plenty of fun for the little ones as well. There's also a very nice playground.
Marianna Milkis-Edwards
Loads of fun! They have 2 railroads you can ride, a normal sized kids one and a mini one with real steam engines, and the tracks are looong! They also have a full size presidential car, a carousel, a playground, and lots of space for a picnic. Oh, tland the in-door toy train set ups is magnificent and huge!
Aaron R
Kids love this places. Model trains that have an interactive buttons, huge park that's covered. Smaller park with no cover. Train riders and carousel 3$ a ride. Kids 2 and under are free.
Andrea Combs
We absolutely love this park! With the train ride, carousel, playground and train museum, there’s no end of fun to be had here 🙌 We celebrated our oldest son’s second birthday here, as well as our youngest’s first birthday. They could ride the train all day long and still want more... If you live anywhere near this park and have kids, it’s worth considering getting the annual pass/membership so you can enjoy unlimited rides 🚂
Beverly DeFoe
Took grandsons. Have been going there on our Phoenix vacations for over 40 years. Fun to see our son interact with his sons.
Road Travel Vlogs
It's a clean and great park to visit, bbq, parties, etc. There's kids playgrounds, public restrooms, train with many people can ride in the sametime. Also many things to do at this park!
Katie Lazenby
Our annual Christmas Train ride- each year we all gather all together as a family and enjoy this beautiful place. During Christmas they have the best family lights. I would absolutely recommend to check it out in you're in the valley during Christmas or even during the year there is fun to be had. Train rides, carousel rides, playgrounds, hot chocolate, food, model trains and so much more. My kids and I have been enjoying this park for 18+ years.
Kelowna Cruises
Great family spot. Super inexpensive for the train ride and carousel. The model railroad by donation was fantastic for the kids. Huge park. We were there for over four hours and the kids still could have kept going.
Jeremy Jantzen Realtor
Always a good time and an inexpensive way to spend a day with the kids. Miniature train rides are always exciting for the kids and tickets are only $3 per person for one ride. Geared more for children ages 12 and under.
Robert Sotomayor
Nice spacious park with plenty to keep the kids happy and fed. We will be going back soon .. you should go too and bring the family
Abigail Freund
Great place for families to visit, absolutely Amazed by the amount of trains in the model museum. And how cool is the presidential car!! Got the best information from one of the workers
Militarize
McCormick railway park is fun for families. The park is fairly cheap and there's different areas to explore. There's two trains the first is the one you get tickets to ride then there is a mini railway that is open only at selected times/days. The miniature model trains museum is always free. If you kids love trains or if you do this is a great place to visit.
Susie Saska Taylor
This park is wonderful! We spent easily half an hour in the model railroad exhibit. The carousel ride and train ride were awesome and far longer than expected. Admission price is free but it's $2 per ride per person, which is beyond reasonable. They even have playgrounds for your little ones. Hands down our top 5 experiences in and around Phoenix this trip.
Rachel Risko
Wonderful park! Love all the train stuff! The train ride and the carousel were both fun! Definitely look forward to visiting again!
Cynthia Sweet
Really cool narrow gage rail, train is maybe a 5th the size of a regular train with open flatbed cars with seating for passengers and a caboose. Crossing bars lights and sounds, a couple of stops including an old western town. Cute fun ride for children and adults. Unfortunately my dog is very fearful so we couldn't ride but it was fun to watch and clear that everyone on the train was having a good time
Scott Freburg
Very neat park for all ages. We paid $2 for the tour of the railroad cars. Didn't know that the last car had been used by two presidents during their whistlestop campaigning. Also was used in the 40's when FDR and the Canadian Minister did a handshake deal to start NORAD.
Cody Peterson
Amazing park! Massive model railway, historic train cars to tour, train you can ride that takes you around the park, historic train building, playground, great concessions. Only thing I would change is move it closer to my house. Well maintained beautiful grounds.
Dorothy McGuinness
The Christmas celebration was perfect for the little ones. The most personal Santa with a calm demeanor, even the 5 month old went right onto his lap happily. The merry go round line went very fast and the train ride was worth the wait. So many amazing lights! We were all delighted.
drmanasa pillalamarri
Its great fun train ride for kids and adults..The Spooky Tracula was awesome ,it left us spellbound..Highly recommend for a fun family time!!They have the carousel ride and play area too for kids..Great fun place..
Karina RC
Fun for the whole family and it's free! Big ol park for the kids and cool model trains.
Sara S. (Azmamaandcrafter)
My kids' favorite park! We've hosted a birthday party in the train car last year. We love the train museum, the holiday light during Christmas time, and of course the train is the highlight of the park
Cubs Fan
Great place to visit with children, especially around the holidays at night to see the Christmas lights. Great park for birthdays, bbq, hanging out for the day, so much to do here. Train and carousel do cost money.
Hannah Valdini
Love, love, love this park/museum!! Carousel, $2 (long) train rides, gift shop, snack shop, great playground with misters, and biggest interactive model train display I've ever seen. Beer too!
Anna S.
This is a great train park for kids and adults. So many fun activities to do!
David Splittberger
Great place to take kids who love trains. With a model train museum with three huge tracks, a train you can ride and several playgrounds, it's a great place to keep the kids entertained.
Stephanie Peterson
We didn't have a lot of time to look around but the train ride and carousel were fun! Reasonable price for each. The playground had plenty of things to do as well!
B Preciado
A place to make family memories with your kids. Train museum, carousel, train ride, and ice cream place… plus plenty of space to picnic or play in the grass. Affordable to all. In the spring, there are tons of bunnies running around at sunset. Fun to see! A large gift shop, general store, and/or some food carts are needed here. No options if you didn’t bring your own food to the park. Seasonal concerts and Christmas lights are a plus.
Vladimir Yasmenko
Fun spot to visit for free!
We didn’t do the carousel nor the little train ride which aren’t free, otherwise the rest of the things were fun to see. Make sure to go through all the buildings. Once you’ll see the tiny train setups you’ll be glad you went there.
Sabrina Messenger
Great place for the whole family! They have a museum there dedicated to railroads and a lot of different boxcars and cabooses and other things dealing with trains. One of the boxcars came all the way from France!
I didn't go into the museum this time around since I had my granddaughter with me and being that she's only 2 and 1/2, she wouldn't have been as interested. So instead we went to the two different playgrounds on the grounds: the one which is appropriate for children under 5 is a replica of an old Western town complete what a Wells Fargo stagecoach! The other playground is designed for kids over age 5 up to 12 years of age. It is more of a conventional playground. However in addition to the standard traditional playground equipment there, they have more modern additions like rock climbing and a zipline!
The park has a train you can actually ride on as well as a 1950s style carousel. The rides are reasonably priced. However the concession stand is a little expensive. There is plenty of areas for a nice picnic. The park is also with walking distance of a variety of restaurants.
Tamir Rosenberg
Great place for the family, especially for the tiny kids. The place looks like it maintained great! Recommend to try the train ride, the museum (free) and the model train area, it's a huge place that built amazing!!!
I Cash
Great place to let children run, play, and ride. Has multiple train sets with meticulous detail where adults can find interest and amazement as well. The park was in a Halloween theme when I went and we were able to get some great pictures.
Teri Davies
Great place to have a kids party.
best to reserve a Ramada.
we have a dog class t h ere, and there are lots of distractions.
Bob Bahador
Very well done. Cheap prices and lots of fun for the kids. Thoroughly impressed. Even the toys in the gift shop were cheaper than Amazon. Who would have thunk it? It's definitely worth getting there a little early and paying extra for the express pass. It will save you a lot of time waiting in line.
J Kneeland
Great place for families with little kids. However, we all enjoyed the model train exhibit, including our teens and young adults. It's huge!!
William Finn
Awesome spot for the little one's to hang out and both ride & watch a train at an awesome park! There's also a carousel. Each "attraction" is $3 per ride. Well worth it!
Tabitha Schwarzenbach
What a wonderful park to spend the day... The trains are are great for the kids to get to know... And you get to walk through a real train... As well as just play in the park, and have a nice lunch. Great for all ages just a wonderful way to spend the day
Donald Moyle
Amazing place to live in the past. Great thanks and appreciate everyone's help to keep it alive.
Perfect place to bring your
Kids and Grandkids lots to see
Lots to enjoy. Kid ride's Train ride.
And the Model Train building
Jc Avila
Hands down, the best city park and most affordable themed family attraction.
The park is as pristine as the locomotives that run on it and the volunteers help to create a memory that will last a lifetime.
Patricia Pieton
This was a very beautiful evening to visit before Christmas. The music, decorations, lights and train rides were so much fun! What an experience to learn about trains and some history in the huge interactive showroom. The park is incredibly maintained and well worth a visit especially at Christmas but, anytime throughout the year!
Deanna Welsch
We love this place! Fun playgrounds. The model trains are amazing. Kids love the train ride and 🎠. …
Gebin Maxey
Its a really cute train museum/park. The model railroad building is really impressive.
ghislaine gilbert
This was my first experience at the railroad Park during Christmas, and I loved every part of it. We went with some friends which really is the way to do it at this time if year. We took turns waiting in the lines to do the train ride which my 3 year old loved like I did. They really decorated the park in such a fun way that ever new area on the ride was an experience. Meeting Santa was great. We were in his shed alone with an elf so it wasn't overwhelming with other kids yelling or watching like at the mall. There was lots to see and do there.y only wish was that the play areas had lights on at night during times like this so kids could play a bit more safely while waiting..
Emily Mondloh
Large, wide open spaces and kiddie playgrounds to play and/gather for free, with the option to pay a small fee to ride a miniature train and carousel! We had a blast!
Laura Young
Wonderful park for kids of all ages. Lots to see and do for free and a nominal fee. Setting up for holiday events when we were there. We'll definitely be back.
islandgirlnaz
5 years in a row, Halloween and Christmas are so awesome. I really love this place really good for kids
Julie Johnson
I went when they weren't open but you can still walk around and take pictures. Can't wait to go when they are open.
Tabitha Forsythe
What a wonderful place. We had an amazing time. Thank you everyone
Jeannie Jones Spagirl
Airbnb Adventures with Jeannie on Youtube give the park 4 Stars. I like the playground OK, I feel like every playground in Arizona should have a tarp over it to provide shade. The train ride was good and it came every 15 minutes. The price was fair three dollars a person. The railroads museum that you go in didn’t have enough interactive things for young children. Some of the little hands on the edge of the one area they could view that was low enough had many that weren’t working. There was only one little blue Thomas car and it had nothing attached to it at all to pull. The Thomas car was actually off the track after the kids looked at it for about 10 minutes. Because the park strictly seems to attract little children it needs more hands-on training activities in the museum area. They should be able to view all of the train sets from their level if they are four and over. See my YouTube videos to understand what I’m talking about. We did enjoy the little train ride and the carousel.
Kiran Kler
Beautiful park. Really enjoyed the train ride and a nice place to spend a day or an evening. But we were told at the counter that the ticket will include 3-4 attractions which was not the case once we used those tickets for the train ride.
Linda GALARZA
We love this place we go every twice a year s specially when it's the holidays it's a beautiful place to enjoy with family and friends ❤️ it's a small place the best part of this park is the train ride 💖 …
Jim Flint
Enjoyed riding the train and spending family time. Great for kids of all ages. Historical elements. Imaginative elements. Jungle gym area. Food. All at a reasonable cost.
Sarah Spinks
Great place for lovers of trains. Also a wonderful place to take children. Ride the live steam 5:12 reproduction of a Colorado narrow gauge railroad. Inexpensive and wonderful scenes to see. Also, the model railroad museum is well done with three gauges of train layouts, friendly volunteers. What a delight. (We visited in December--warm weather months may be a different experience in the AZ climate.)
Jason Panzera
Even though we're grown ups, we rode the train around the park when we first arrived to get a feel for the park--worth $2 each. Overall, it's a great green space for kids to play with a few reasonably priced special activities and snacks. Model train and historical museums were the right size for a park visit. If think City Park with bonus train-themed activities, you won't be disappointed spending a couple hours here.
Curtis Anthony
Wonderful park. Great train displays with lights and sound and trains to walk through. Great day! Oh and cheap food!
Antonio
Great place! Lots of good areas and plenty of space for the kids to play. Miniature trains was great, there were about 8 people working on different areas testing, building, and repairing of the trains.
Aprildawn
I had so much fun! It brought the kid out of me. There ice was so good and I really enjoyed looking at the different types of trains
The Pool Whisperer

Another awesome day today celebrating 4th of July! We had a blast!
Franco S
Excellent railroad model setup, along with a vintage steam locomotive with Pullman cars.
Railfest was going on, very cool to see G gauge down to N gauge model train setups. And the indoor setup would have been a dream for me as a kid!
Diane P
This is was so much fun. My 11 year old Austic dughter had a big smiles on her face for two hours. My 15 year old son didn't want to go and he enjoyed hisself.
Dominic Zito
Great place to spend time with the young ones. Train rides, Carousel, playground & lots of interesting things to look at. I only wish the model train exhibit and museum were open.

Fun for the whole family. Seeing the model railroad layouts is definitely worth the stop
Jesslyn Sands
Such a great park for the family! We took my little one-year-old nephew and he adored every minute of it. There is a carousel as well as an adorable little train ride that you can purchase tickets for. (Only $3 each!) Must do if you are looking for an easy family park day! There are also covered playgrounds.

Always a good place to take my kids especially now that it's nice outside. Train tickets are affordable and playgrounds are clean and well maintained.
John Hedrick
Varied exhibits, rides, and activities. Excellent exhibit of railroad equipment. Outstanding operating model railroad showcasing various gages. Live steam at certain times.
TONIA MOSHER
Attended a nice Veterans day program and then had fun on a train ride with my husband.
Yusel Soto Arellano
It has a train museum and a small and medium-sized train you can ride. It also has a carousel. This park also offers open space for kids to run and frolic.
Heidi Befort
Always a fun time here. The kids love the park, train rides and carousel. $3 a ride. Park is clean, lots of places to picnic!
Sara Habib
We have been here several times and really enjoy it. Its a beautiful clean park with lots to do. We enjoyed the train ride, carousel and getting ice cream. Also my kids enjoyed the playgrounds here. They have one playground that looks like an old wild west town. We will continue to keep coming to this park for years to come.
Michael Monz
Big park area, free to all, except the rides.
They have an amazing model railroad in one building, gauges N,HO, O and O27
Interactive parts that are amazing to watch
Antonia Moran
This is the first time that I go to this park and I love it, a perfect place to do a party with a train theme, they have bagons to make parties, the scale trains was one of my favorite parts, how they are so talent to build mini cities, mountains, roads, etc.. The ride around the park in the little train help us to see all the park which every single detail is focus in the train theme.. Unfortunately the museum is closed, I hope I can go back once it is open because I would love to see what they have in there... The park is free, and to go to see their expositions it's free too, rides only $2, the food and souvenirs at good prices too..
Keith Casey
Great place, kids loved it!!!!! Lots of things to do and play. Good for an hour or all day.
Erik Hart
It’s hard to beat this park for fun. A perennial top pick with my kids! Get ready to set expectations or pony up some cash for the carousel and train rides, which can add up quickly. Definitely worth a visit even if you don’t live terribly close.
michael a
Fantastic, reasonably priced train museum with train ride and carousel. Don't miss the indoor miniature train sets that's kinda hidden on the left side of the park (when facing the entrance)
Jason Terry
Excellent place to bring young kids for an afternoon of fun and exploration! Riding the train is fun for all ages!
Aliria Adult Placement Agency LLC
Excellent park with a little train that goes through the entire park. There are a few playgrounds for the kids with sand and rubberized flooring. A misting playing water thing in the middle of the playground, a merry go round, a couple snack places plenty of bathrooms and parking. You can host birthday parties there!
Brian Graham
This place is cool. They have a train you can ride around the park. It's all decorated for the holidays.
Lesa Stephens
Thus is a GREAT PARK FOR KIDS reasonable priced and have a cute snack bar train and lots if jungle gyms for all ages nice museums.
JO Hernan
A beautiful place to have fun with family and friends, at night it'll give you the magic of Christmas. In addition very instructive for kids(for adults too), to be introduced and have a clear idea about the hx and functioning of railways.
Mikael Charrois
A great, inexpensive place to take young kids. The train ride and carousel are $2 each and there is a kids town and shaded playground. Well worth a visit!
Carolynn Carpenter
Fun place. Amazing train layouts. Huge display! Fun for kids and adults. Going 3 x so far!
Cynthia Sutton
What a surprise. We had no idea the history about the train until we got there.
Novel X
Great place for families and kids. Christmas train is the best time to go, just make sure you get the fast pass or get there very early. We waited in line over an hour and half, but with 2 parents there, we were lucky to take our kid the big playground, while taking turns in line. He had the best time and didn’t want to come back. Definitely coming back here again.
Note to self: Noticed grandparents waiting in line for entire family. Bring grandparents next time.
Kiara Smith
I came for the lights and it was so cute! Very nicely done and I enjoyed actually being able to walk around and look at everything as well
Jennifer Glenesk
There is something for every age at this park. We enjoyed learning about the Pullman cars and the Merci Trains. We finished up with a train ride.
Abir Ghosh
Nice little park for kids to enjoy their day, birthday party, good/fun time for kids, picnic and most of all train rides that goes all around the park.
Roxy Vee
Good fun for the kids & the prices were reasonable to ride both the train & carousel.
Also a playground with a train theme: my babies loved it!
Mikaela Links
Such a great place to take our toddler! We especially loved the holiday lights :)
Chris Whaley
Large park with multiple attractions. Clean and neat, family friendly and fair prices for snacks, train ride and merry go round
Galina Enev

Restrooms were super crean.

Both my kids amd there friends also loved the place. There are 2 playgrounds - one is small and outside-the-box and the other one is huge. can't wait to go back.
Ian Borchers
Great place to take the young ones! There is a train that they can ride around the park, a carousel that has plenty of horses, and multiple playgrounds. There's also a train museum and a model train exhibit that has many points of interaction for persons of any age. Overall, a good way to spend a Saturday morning.

Josh Lovely
Went for a company picnic, really beautiful park and, the train ride (while short) was definitely the best part, I recommend it whole heartedly
Jessica Partain
So many model trains. Very cool. The actual train part of the museum was cool but not the best I have seen in Phoenix.
Carmen Talos
Enjoyed the visit, as always.
Rachel Delfin
Great place to bring the family, there's a train ride and carousel. Bring lunch for a picnic.
Alison Hayes
This place is amazing! Our son is a huge train-lover and this destination definitely did not disappoint. Our whole family enjoyed the mini train ride. It is well-laid out, with a few tunnels. The property includes a large park, gazebos, picnic tables, and whimsical play structures.
There is a large model train museum with lots of interactive parts. You could spend hours in there! Touring the Pullman cars was interesting too. Truly there was something for everyone. The whole park is immaculate and accessible. We were shocked to learn there is no parking or entrance fee, and only a modest $3 charge for the trainride. Thank you so much! We will be back!😁
Bethany Eggleston
My daughter loves this park! It's super budget friendly and has so many things to explore. Our favorites are, of course, the carousel and riding the train, but they have two great playgrounds for kids of all ages too. The staff are great... you won't find grumps behind the counter or running the attractions here.
Martie Burman
Christmas lights, train rides, carousel, model train layouts - fun for whole family and/or train enthusiasts
faisca drake
We thoroughly enjoy the train ride, carousel, museums, and playground. It's a very nice, clean park for the whole family.
Ryan Veneberg
Awesome place year round for kids of all ages. Several playgrounds, indoor train display, and outdoor fun for everyone. Annual family pass is a great deal if you live in the area.
Black Sunshine
I've been going to this park since I was 4 years old (I am 45 now). And every time I go it is still as fun as it was when I was four. All the displays and the history on hand is truly a blessing for the area. It is definitely worth the experience of taking a train ride because it really is a fun activity to do with your family.
Tiffany Chiu
Very impressed by the miniature! They’re so delicate and full of surprises. Thank you for the amazing experience :)
Aletha e
This was such a great experience this year! I really like how they only sell so nany tickets. It wad not overcrowded and way more enjoyable then prior years!
Derrelyn Phelps
Great place to take kids of all ages.
Tickets are $3 each or $20 for a sheet of 8.
The train and carousel are each 1 ticket but kids 5 and under need a ticketed adult to ride with them. 2 and under don't need a ticket but do need a ticketed adult.
On regular days the train goes at the top of the hour and at the half hour and the carousel goes right after the train empties out.
Amazing playground, one of the best and has 3 different ones at all age abilities.
Playground has sand, so be prepared to empty shoes.
Also an excellent free museum with model trains that is excellent and interactive.
If you have a train obsessed kid this is a must visit, if you don't, it's still really fun.
Shawn Meyer
A nice park. Check it out, especially if you like trains, if not it's still a good place to check out.
S Osburn
This railroad park is fantastic. You can pay $3 and ride the train around the park. There are a lot of old rail cars throughout the park with information placks. The gift shop has a good selection of souvenirs that are affordable. Great place for kids of all ages and families.
M Gad
Nice place to spend time with your kids. Visted today on our Christmas (January 7th), lights turned on around 5:30 except on the Christmas tree 🎄!!😐 …
Sandee Wills
Such a great place, so many interesting things to look at and do. Lots of things for children and adults. Stop and take a look.
Katelynn Camp
This park is a local gem and has so much history. My grandma took me here when I was a little girl. The play place is great, all sort of fun things for specific age ranges from 2-12. The railroad ride is so fun and the carousel looks pretty fun, though we didn't go on it. I love that the playground has shade and tons of different slides.
Michael Kreutzer
Beautiful setting. Wonderful staff. So friendly and helpful. I enjoy trains and there are plenty of trains.
Kathy K
A gem of a park. Train ride just $3. Free carousel, museum (when open) and exquisite model train exhibit. There are play and picnic areas. Open areas don't have shade so early morning is best. It opens at 8 am. Staff is amazing. There is also a snack shop and gift shop. Many awesome picture opportunities. There is ample parking. Not only a fun place but a lot of history so a good learning opportunity. I highly recommend this park.
Regina Gill
Wonderful park for all ages! Self-guided tours of the beautifully restored train cars and the interactive model train exhibits are so much fun. If you love local history and looking for a fun place to take the family or visit with a couple friends, GO! You won't regret it.
Crystal Huerta
Such a wonderful park. The train is open year round for 3$ a person. Christmas lights are a treat!
john Neibel
Great place to bring the family train rides and carousel too
Fernando P
We come every year to see their Christmas lights displays. It’s $15 per person and it gets better every year. Hot chocolate for $2 a cup. I would love to see some fire pits with s’more kits next year.
Briana Minock
Love how much shade the park area provides. Nice little sand area as well. Wish they would update the sprinklers so they actually worked and kids could cool off. Train ride is always enjoyable as is the musuem. Staff is pleasant too.
Ashley
Taking the kids to this park was always something I’ve wanted to do since I went there as a kid! They loved the carrousel and the train ride which were both inexpensive too. The playground was by far their favorite part of the trip, cause who doesn’t love a good playground! We created memories to last a life time. I will be taking them back more often.
TL Neitzer
Loved the interactive model trains. Very clean.
Blake S.
Always awesome! The museum is super cool and the historical train cars are a must see.
Laura Ramos
Visited the park for our first time during their holiday event. What an experience! ❤️🎄❤️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Well done staff and event organizers. As a former Disney employee I can say from experience, this event had the magic down! ❤️ It's no wonder families travel from out of state to visit this event. We will definitely be making this a part of our holiday traditions, and look forward to many more visits to explore more of the park throughout the year.
Dawn Breski
The docents are friendly and knowledgeable. Love the display on the Harvey Girls!
Norma Medeiros
Nice and peaceful park. Alot to see and toys for the kids have some fun.
Jon Stephenson
Fantastic spot to get a few pictures an enjoy the morning. Will definitely need to go back soon.
Allen Minock
Great place for the family. Fun and friendly place for kids. Laid out well and enjoyed our time there!
Samantha Lundquist
Large park with multiple gazebos for events a wonderful playground area for little kids and big ones, and a charming old timey play area that emphasizes the "old west" appeal of the park as a whole. Also has a small train loop, merry-go-round and Museum
Paul Valonis
We have really fun picnics here! Mini train rides and big carousel for the kids
Jaqueline V C
Perfect place to spend the day with the kids 😊♥️ …
Dawn M Smith
Free admission to the park and playground areas and the model Museum. Tickets are $2 each. Children under 2 are free for everything. There are four attractions that you need a ticket for. My one-year-old grandson had a great time!
Christopher Sutton
Living near a train my daughter has grown to love trains. As a toddler she thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Tickets were $3 ea, 2yo and under free for the train ride.
Cary Craven
Nice place for kids and adults, very nice model train several of them displays.
Pat Rasmussen
During thanksgiving thru New years this place is a brightly lit wonderland, a great place for Christmas photos and some years you may even see Santa himself....
J Banaszewski
I have bringing my kids here for years. We live pretty far but so worth the drive. Christmas time is especially fun as they decorate the train route and the ride turns into a xmas wonderland.
erica hendrix
The Railroad park is great! It has a free model train museum, 2 playground areas, an ice cream shop, a lunch stand which serves hot dogs, hamburgers, etc. Train and carousel rides are 2 dollars a person, kids under 2 are free.
Deivid Cardozo
It is small museum and largest parks it is fun place to go there.
Eileen Baden
Wonderful Christmas adventure!! Highly recommend!
nushay ginn
We love this park,we had our sons first birthday here...so much for for the kids to do , plus you can take a classic ride S
Michael Jenks
Free and pay areas are both offered here. You can have a great time and not miss anything if you don't spend any money.
Free: playground, park area, lots of stuff to see. Also, the model railroad station is top notch. Probably one of the best west of the Mississippi.
Pay: small fees for the train trolley, merry-go-round, and the train museum where you go through antique train cars.
Parking is free and ample.
Overall excellent experience.
Samuel Smith
This is a beautiful park with historic trains, a carousel, model rail museum and a modest arboretum on well kept grounds with plenty of space and clean facilities. Perfect for family time and gatherings.
Jamie Hoffman
The place is really big and has 2 different playgrounds. The train ride and carousel are really lovely. We enjoyed our time and will definitely be back
Mark OBrien
A great place for the kids, with a small train to ride and a small carousel, but the best by far for this child was the 10,000 sq. ft. Model train display with hundreds of feet of track and complete with cities and operable trains. Just too amazing. The detail has to be seen to be appreciated. A must see.
Connie Pitts
This park is so great! It's a step back in time with all of the trains. The kids really enjoyed riding in the train and the model train exhibit. They rode the carousel and played on the playgrounds. We didn't get a chance to tour the big train, bit that's on our list for next time. They do have limited food available for great prices.
Richard Swenson
Just excellent; a wonderful venue for kids and railroad enthusiasts; you don’t want to miss it!!
Lida Cubillos
Lovely park ! Grandma can ride the train and walk easy through park's paths. Great family time
Christian Sanft
If you’re a parent, this is the greatest park maybe anywhere. Great grass for playing in, a couple playgrounds, an ice cream shoppe, carousel and train rides? What more could you want?
How about an indoor miniature railroad museum? Check. Huge grounds to keep kids busy for hours? Check. Actual train for exploring? Check. Awesome holiday special events? Check again.
Seriously the greatest park. My kids have been coming here about once a week for 10 years and are always down to go again.
Warren Sanders
This is such a wonderful place for the family. My grandson and I come here every weekend and he never wants to leave. Great picnic spots and the train and carousel are great for the kids and adults alike. Plus the staff is so friendly and accommodating. One of my favorite places in Phoenix/Scottsdale.
Rodrigo Del Rio
My kids most favorite place to go. It truly is a gem.
Tim Smith
Beautiful train themed park. Free parking, picnic areas and walking trails. The train ride and carousel do cost, but they're worth it. The historical displays and model railroads are well worth your time.
This park is easily accessible from the Indian Bend Wash trail system. We enjoy riding over with a picnic lunch in the panniers.
Hours are limited in the hottest months so check their web site.
Hillary Rodriguez
We love this park. The playground is appealing for all ages of kids and even some adults. You can’t beat the authenticity of the train at McCormick Stillman. Sure there are other parks with trains but the dedication to trains makes this park particularly interesting and fun in my opinion. Have fun!
Nina Pastore
Way better than we expected!! We went for Halloween and the decor was so awesome! Great place for kids
Jo
Great experience. I can imagine this being a great place for parents to take their little ones during the day to blow a couple of hours. Then the model trains were awesome. Definitely get tickets and make a visit to their Christmas event that runs during specific dates during the holiday season. Trains, train rides, chocolate and Santa! Runs 6-9:30 in 1-1/2hr blocks. The second block being 5 bucks cheaper and a bit less packed if that happens to work for you.
scitulzz66
We had a wonderful time when we visited here. The value for money is great and there is lots to do to keep kids entertained.
Amanda Caley
Love this place, great things for the big kids and little kids to do!
Doug
Was there on a Saturday and it was very busy. However, the crowds and parking was not a problem. We were there for a birthday party. We did not reserve tables. But, there is plenty of space so we had no problems. Our youngsters rode on the train and used other park like kids equipment. The entire experience is one everybody should do at least once. A really good time no matter your age!
Denisse M
Beautiful clean park. There is a train that children and parents can ride on that tours the park. There is also a carousel, museum, playground for kids to enjoy. There is a snack shop that was closed when I went. Overall cute park with lots of picnic areas.
Melissa Silvey
Beautiful park with lots to do!! Loved that there are so many options for things to do. The train was fun, the carousel looked nice. The playgrounds were fun for the children and very well maintained. Everything seemed very clean and well maintained. Even though we don't live close as we were meeting friends, we will definitely be back!
Michell Flath
Visited this Train park with our daughter, son-in-law and grandkids! We all loved it!
Michelle Tmy
Christmas kiddie train ride. Beautiful and wholesome place for family.
Stephanie Klein
Love this park. It's clean, it's educational and it's fun. We attended the Spook-Tracula event last night and we had a blast. We got to ride the train through a really cool Halloween display. They did a wonderful job with decorating for the ride. My 2 1/2 year old loved it. We'll be back on a nice weather weekend for sure.
Robert Heaton
It is unusual for me not to post a very detailed review but there are plenty here that are great. This place is awesome and the model railroad building rivals the best I've ever been to. If you come here on a reasonably temperate day it will be one of the best things you do in the Phoenix area.
I am posting this review mostly to share a very important tip. Directly across the street from the park is a small shopping center with good lunch place called The wildflower bread company. The tip is that there is actually a tunnel from the park side of the street over to that side of the street and it is much safer than walking across either jay-walking style or at either of the crosswalks. The signs are not super obvious but trust me there is a tunnel under the road to the other side. Also in that center is a cupcake shop, cute bird seed etc shop, and other shops to visit.
One more tip, this park has some special events throughout the year like "Tents by the Tracks" which is a cute but expensive opportunity for camping with the family, or a day dedicated to information about kids summer camps/activities in the area. Check out their website before you go to see if there is a special event that weekend and/or if there are any interesting ones for you. If we lived closer we would be here probably once a month.
Maria Miranda
Awesome park.
You can ride a train for just one ticket per person.
They have wristbands and ticket bundles for sale.
There's a carousel 🎠. A museum a miniature display of various scenarios for trains.
The train ride takes you all around the park. The museum has a real life size train that displays history of a train.
There's a snack place.
Bathrooms are available and very clean.
Park is clean overall even though there's various parties going on around the park.
There's a playground area for the little ones. There's various seating areas.
And they'll be a festival on the 26th of March
C C
Live band open seating on grass. Bring chairs or a blanket to sit on. You also can bring coolers With /beverages. There are vendors for food and beverages on Sunday evening(kind of pricey). Great free admission and family fun. Parking fills up quickly so try to get there early if you want to park close. Additional parking across the street if main parking lot is full. Carousel and mini train rides available for the kiddos.
Randee Manley
This was my first time here and I don't know why I never came before. It is more than the train and merry-go-round. There is vast open space for picnics and parties. Need a place to hang with friends and family on a nice sunny day. Check it out.
Matthew Krahn
Iconic park, this is a must stop for anyone with kids! Fair ride prices, and dog friendly!
Marlene Hoeft
Great history of Arizona railroads. Very nice playgrounds. Fantastic model trains on exhibit
Gena E
A neat little slice of train fun. If you have a kid currently into trains definitely take them here. The train ride and carousel are very cheap and the park and a lot of fun stuff. They also still have the Christmas lights up for now which is pretty. Sometimes you can spot bunnies
Judi Diamond
Railway Part is an outstanding park for many reasons. During the summer, they offer concerts Sunday nites. Always fun. Pack your snacks & the kids & dogs & be entertained by a variety of bands & music. Good fun!
Look at trains & cars on the tracks they road on originally. Also available is trail rides around park where you see things not available when walking around park, and a old fashion carousel. Play scapes & also snacks available. Large indoor model train exhibit. Christmas in the park is another reason to go there. I could go on & on, and have. Just go visit the park, it does not disappoint.
corey lyon
We took my 2 yr old grandson and had a wonderful time. The park is immaculate and well laid out. The train ride is inexpensive ($3) and entertaining. The model train room is amazing and the antique full size trains are educational as well as really cool. Plenty of room for a family picnic.
Jeff Michaels
This is a very fun park. A traditional playground is just the start. There is a miniature, kid sized structure that mimics an old west kind of "town" surrounded by a sand box plat area. Not so big that parents lose sight of their kids, but large enough for them to dash about and expend excess energy.
But the big thing is the train exhibits! Several antique train cars provide a walk through museum like experience, a large building houses a model train layout with N gauge, HO, the bigger scale (the gauge designation escapes me at the moment) all of the layouts being very large. You can spend a good deal of time there if you choose or, if attention span is limited just a quick walk through.
BUT! The real treasure for the kids (and many adults) is the mini steam train ride. As if this writing tickets are a mere three bucks for about a fifteen minute ride around the park. Note: Seats and passenger amenities are not necessarily first class. Being young and agile is a plus!
There is also a full size carousel (also a three dollar ticket) that plays...odd music, but is very nice for those who like the merry-go-round experience.
A snack shop and a little coffee/sandwiches store provide sustenance, but may not always be open.
A souvenir shop has some quality train related items at good prices.
Clean restrooms and easy, free parking make this a good family outing. Probably a half day place, but lots of picnic areas and shade can tempt a longer, relaxing gathering place.
Lucas
There's a great episode of twilight zone where the protagonist gets off the train at Willoughby in 1888, this park is just like that... Only Willoughby doesn't turn out to be the name of the mortuary.
Nish The Fish
Fun park to learn about trains and even ride a mini one.
Brianna Green
Beat local park! Train, Carousel and playgrounds are fantastic! Love their gift shop and that they have a little Cafe.
Stephanie Hall
Super, super cute place to bring the 10 and under crowd, especially if they are train enthusiasts! Not too expensive, and a handful of different things you can do there! Our favorite part was the train ride, western town park, and ice cream! Looking forward to coming back for the holiday lights!!
The only thing I would love for them to change is for the carousel to run for two minutes longer, it only ran for 90 seconds, and for 3 dollars a ride, that was a little short.
Jack Keegan
One place for families. Great place to have a picnic lunch with grandkids.
Maddie Dog
Such a fun park. Lots to see and do.my dog especially like that we could buy a hotdog and sit and watch the train.
Amanda Rae
Love this place been going for 10 years for playing at the park and birthday parties. Used to go to holiday lights every single year. But really disappointed in the way they are doing the tickets now for the Christmas lights. You have to reserve a time slot. The earliest time is 6pm and the only other time is 8pm. So it’s one or the other. All the 6pm time slots are always sold out. I can’t take a 2 and 1 year old at 8pm to see the lights. Plus now they are charging $15 per person! It used to be $2 to ride the train during regular time of the year, and $3 to ride during holiday lights. Then it went to $4, $5, $6 now $15 a person. They say it’s unlimited rides but you only get an hour and a half time slot so I mean how many times are you really going to ride the train and carousel in just that time with all the other people who are there waiting in line too? You’re not going to be able to do the rides more then once if you want to do anything else there like the mini train ride, see the model train shop, see Santa, and stop at the cafe for treats and hot chocolate. Or even play on the playgrounds. Not even worth it anymore, the time or the money. So disappointed.
Ava
Such a cool park and the kids enjoy all of the things to do there!
the cheeks
Such a great beautiful park to bring family and kids! I love it and honestly for the food you pay for it's cheap and good. I would recommend the icecream for sure!! But I love this park. Its huge and they've got a cute little train that takes you throughout the whole park
Lots of playground space for the jungle gyms and for you to just play ball or something. I definitely want to check it out in the winter time because it looked like they have all new lights set up for the train to go through. Really cool place. And they have all this information about trains and history of Arizona in a little park too that's pretty interesting. Go check it out!!
Cole Yancey
Really cool place for all ages! The park is super nice and clean. Water fountains and bathrooms as well. Playground for little kids and locomotives to check out.
The star of the show is the model train sets! It looks like this is where various train enthusiast clubs meet so there were several people within the models to bounce questions off of. Super nice and really fun! Also, it's free!
Linda Block
What a fun time at Christmas. Expect long lines to ride the little trains but there was so much other stuff to do that was fun.
Carolyn B Melby
Love this place! Great for their concerts! Love it.
Great for families...please bring your kids. Wonderful park...lots to do! ❤🍦🐩🎶🥰 …
Brandon Jones
It's a park, with a train and a few playgrounds. Kids love it!
Paul Wagner
A great little park in Scottsdale with a miniature railroad that runs through the entire park. A fun way to spend and afternoon
Rebekah Mac Lean
Really nice park. Admission is free. Costs $2 for tickets for carasel and train rides. Lots of play areas. Grills and picnic tables. Also a small bar that sells hot dogs burgers and ice cream. Worth going to see.
Vib Mehrotra
Good place for the kids. Their train ride for kids is fun.
Tim Specht
Nice park , huge grounds, staff almost felt non existent but appear to do a good job of keeping everything looking good. Fun for any train person and certainly a great place to visit with kids.
Miss Jamie Smith
This is a wonderful park, that will take you back in time to the days of the railway. The trains are family friendly, during the holidays they are extra festive and fun. The old time carousel is beautiful. The ice cream shop delicious...I could go on and on just a great park, nice people, if I had to complain I wish the staff had more history knowledge
Robert Strickle
Great place. I had my son's first B Day party here. Plenty to do.
Stephanie Pittman
This is one of the BEST model railroad museums ever! Clean and beautiful tree lined park, picnic spots, train rides, museum store... Great for adults, great for kids!
kenneth judd
Well laid out combination of park and railroad museum. Great space for kids to be outside and education for the whole family. With a building full of model railroads, everyone is a kid!
Deanna Pool
Very clean park! My boys loved the train ride, model trains, and carousel. My husband and I enjoyed the museum and learning the history of the park and train travel. We are already planning a return trip.
Dorothy Paxton
Great place for a day out with the kids and kids at heart. Looking forward to a second trip when everything is reopened

It is a great place for all age groups, parking clean and well maintained .
Judith Brubaker
I loved this park as a child, and watching my daughter play there now is such an amazing experience. The park has just gotten better every year.
Samantha Sloan - Your AZ Agent
Such a fun park with great playgrounds, model trains, in real life mini train that kids can ride! I used to come here all the time as a kid and it was one of my favorite places. Now I get to bring my little nephews here and it’s their favorite thing to do! Definitely check it out during Christmas time when they have all the lights and their Christmas train rides!
Christina Moore
We had a blast! We will totally tell our friends and family that this is a great family experience.
David Hogan
Amazing park! So much fun and free unless you want to ride the carousel or train! Kids loved it!
Steven Card
Awesome park. Plenty of free things to do and see. The carousel and train ride are open and inexpensive activities for the kids. The Pullman train car is an authentic walkthrough museum and really cool slice of history.
frank2322000
Nice open space for picnics, good to let the kids run free.
Dominic Lee
This place used to be great. Over time I feel the staff have gotten terrible, customer service is low and they’ve started to short change customers.
Erin J. Green
Amazing place to visit, and one of my new favorite places in the Phoenix area. I was just expecting a park with some trains to look at but got waaaaaaaay more than expected, with a full-on museum and miniature trains, all of which were FREE on top of that! I was also impressed by the general store, because I feel like you can't get food for these type of prices anymore. Great job all around, and I will definitely be back to ride the train (something else that is surprisingly cheap)!
Tessi Glaser
You could plan a whole day for your family here. Expansive park grounds with at least two playgrounds, a children's train ride, a carousel, an authentic train to tour and a model train museum. Great for a picnic or but an ice cream treat.
Mercedes Swallow
Best park for kids! Water event scheduled for the first week of August looks fun! $10 a person seems worth it!
Richard Rosenfeld
The model layout of trains can take over two hours if you look at every detail.
The steamer trains are a community sense of pride.
The carousel is a classic and I cantvthink of anything else that would make this even better....except for how extravagant they set even more for the holidays.
Nobody should miss their holiday light show.
BRILIANT JOB CITY OF SCOTTSDALE!!!
EJ Supreme
This place was awesome!! It was my kids favorite thing we did during it time in Scottsdale/Phoenix area! Train is fun to ride especially the Halloween Spooktacular at night. Visiting the train museums was really interesting too. My kids enjoyed going on the old museum display train and seeing the furniture, bunk beds, etc. Go -- you'll love it!
Carlos
I enjoyed my day in the park. I recommended if you have to want a beautiful day.
Sherri Davis
What a fun place and if you are tight on cash there is plenty there you can do without cost.
Vickie Murphy
Loved it! Great experience for the whole family 👪 huge grounds a lot of people there but didn't feel crowded at all Great history of railroads, carousel, train ride through the park lots of picnic areas covered (some not but plenty of trees provided shade) huge jungle gym play area. Was very relaxing and fun for our whole family. Definitely a must visit if you're in Scottsdale Az.*****
Alex Ilioi
Kids had an amazing time. Definitely recommend coming here with kids if you want to kill some time .
Joseph Moreno
A great local place with year-round activities that create family and community enjoyment.
jmgargoyle
Took my one year old grandsonhere for a train ride and to walk through the museum and model railroad building! The sheer amount of detail and time/effort that's been put into the model railroad was just unbelievable and is definately a must see for kids of any age!
Kurt Forbis
Now this is a great place to take some it's cool it's got old trains take the kids nice Park area got a little railroad train that goes around I've been using this place since 1971 it's awesome. Definitely reserve a place on holidays and birthdays they'll give you a deal I'm sure.
Paula Dale
Great park for kids of all ages! Train ride is $3 a person and actually is a pretty long ride. It was surpisingly not super busy & we were there during Spring Break!
Sarah Tulk
This is one of our favorite parks...there is a carousel, a great train ride around the entire park, 2 playgrounds, tons of grass to run around or have a picnic in, a museum with a tour through real train cars, and an amazing building dedicated to model trains with themed sections, touch-activated attractions, and awesome additions for the holidays. The park is always beautifully maintained and well run. We didn't make it last year but are excited to see the holiday lights this Christmas as we have heard they are amazing. This is an excellent place to spend the afternoon with your kids.
Jonathan House
Very great staff. Very friendly. Very helpful. Nice place to visit
Norm Mahoney
This place is awesome. From the carousel to the miniature train ride. Train ride was no ordinary one either. It takes you around the whole property and lastly through a tunnel. Lasted about 10 minutes. My boys loved it. It was a great experience and we WILL be going back.
Chiquite Korb
If you love trains, this is the perfect place for you. There were train displays to look at. Not many hands on activities which was a little disappointing for me. Otherwise, this place is good for an outing.
william pfister
Everything was great free park the train ride was reasonably priced great experience.
Raymond R
Love this place and so do my daughters! Great place for a birthday party or just a simple outing. The adjacent area with the train models is so much fun for the kids once they are over 3 feet tall and can check out all the platforms. Check out the view of the mountains from the train ride.
Adam Levison
Amazing model railroad. We have been going there since it opened and each time it gets bigger and more detailed.
Pei-Shan Hsieh
A very nice place to spend with family if you have little one. Very cheap and our little one had fun there with the train ride.
Kimberly Doughtie
Awesome experience. I was so impressed with how cool this park was.i learned a lot about the history of trains and had a great time with my friend while doing it. The best part was how cheap it was for the for the rides and the food and even if you I have no money at all there's plenty of free things to do. I will definitely be visiting McCormick rail park again and thank you to the staff for the great time I had.
Miryam Ferris
You can have a train ride. There is playground, ice cream,... Lots of fun
Asia Charleston
Took my 6 year old son here for the 1st time! What a great Park. We had so much fun! Several play areas for different age groups. Took a 10 min train ride around the park too. Cost for train ride only $3 per person or can buy a West band unlimited rides for entire visit. There is also a nice Carousel price is the same as train ride. We will definitely be visiting again. Oh yeah! There is a nice gift shop too and the cashier that helped us was a very nice and informative young lady.
Margaretelise
Super fun place for kids with picnic areas. The train is fun though the closed cattle car is a really creepy option.
X X
Absolutely love bringing my kids here. So fun and tons to do
Melissa Kobold
This is my son's favorite park. We love everything from the train rides to the museum. There is even a couple playgrounds to keep the kids occupied if mom and dad's need a breather.
Eileen Price
Amazing park! World class!!! It's very special! There is a great train to ride around the park, my friend and I rode it twice, everything is incredibly well maintained. The museum, general store, and ticket station made this a real experience. The carousel is beautiful, the grounds are beautifully landscaped, and the park has tons of amenities. This is a must see!!!

Such a fun park for the entire family. They have a carousel (kids 3 and under are free), train rides, an extensive playground area, and lots of picnic tables for lunch! I can't believe this is the first time I've taken my littles here. Plenty of parking but we visited on a weekday so I imagine it's packed weekends- keep this in mind when planning your trip. Fun fact: the park has tons of photo background and picture props for the holidays!

A great place to come with children. Steam engine and railcars throughout. Great playground area for kids, especially toddlers. Kids really enjoy the train ride around the park. The model train exhibits are fabulous. There are also many interactive areas for children to experience the displays.

This place is awesome. Train is cheap to ride. Multiple bathrooms availabilities and tons of grass and play parks for the kids to enjoy. Now they choose one side of the park at 1pm. The website however will let you reserve a spot there until 5pm which employees will move you at 1pm. Just a heads up. The website lies. Shout out to the joker for helping us move, guy with green hair.

It’s a good place for family to spend time with, the carousel and mini train’s price are reasonable!

This park is the best in the Valley!!! The train and carousel are affordable, the playgrounds are fantastic, the grounds are always kept so beautiful and the model train museum is free and amazing!!!! We have also done our child's birthday party here and it was perfect. One of our most favorite places!!

Family friendly. You can go in side the train and see how travelers would have experienced their travels in the early 1900's. Indoor model train layout from Z scale to G scale layouts. They even have a small train you can ride on with your kids.

Great place! My 18 month old twins loveddd it!!

Great place to spend a couple hours and ride around on the train!

Awesome place to take kids for the day. Park is large enough to bbq, fly kites, run around have a picnic etc. Large playground for kids to tire themselves out. Train ride is awesome that lasted 7 1/2 minutes and ran every 30 minutes. Also have a carousel. Each rides was only 1 ticket which tickets costed $3 each or 6 for $20.

This Railroad museum is awesome! Something for all ages. There are snacks available for purchase and great outdoor areas to hang out.
I especially loved the interactive elements to the H, O, and HO model set ups!

Great experience! Me and my kids really enjoyed it. They spent alot of money and time making this place top notch, even at 115 degrees we loved it. Totally free! Just $3 for a train ride if you want. You can tell the staff love what they do, thanks guys!

Held my 2 year old's birthday party there. Everyone, including the parents, had so much fun we've gone back a dozen times. Highly recommend taking your kids.

We used to come here as a Christmas Tradition, but they changed this this past year and now we will be finding a new tradition. We used to come and ride the train at night, get some hot cocoa, ride the carousel, walk around, check out the train museum, pet a horse, etc.
Well, this year we found out that you have to reserve it and we found out too late because they were sold out. We were able to get day time tickets and you had to go before 5pm. We were hopeful it would still be pretty and a good time. We did the train ride and they had the train going in the opposite direction and they had ALL of the lights OFF. Even in a really long dark tunnel. Why not at least have the lights on? I know the ticket was a discounted rate for daytime but Sheesh! Time to check out Zoolights again I guess.

If you are in to trains, this is a fun place to visit. There's a museum that will give you history of trains & the railroads. You can also ride at small train. There's also a model train garden that is neat to check out. Throughout the display, there are buttons/sensors to trigger different actions. Not all were working when we went. Also not all of the trains were running either. By the looks of it, they required a conductor in the middle of the display, which was not on staff at the time.
Overall all though, got a free visit (train ride costs $3/ticket), I definitely recommend you check this out, if you're in the area looking for something to do.

My family has been going here for years it's such a cute place. We love the model train exhibit and looking for the smallest ppl in the model. Always a good time here
Brittany Pisola
My kids love this place! There is a miniature train they can ride and a carousel. And sometimes there is even smaller train they can ride (it is open certain times of the year). They also love the model museum, but it's closed right now due to covid. The prices of the concession stand aren't bad either.

Very interesting and well presented elements, quite attractive location - especially for my 1 year old grandson!! Free parking, no entry fees! Only minimal cost to ride on train. Well worth visiting!!
Jessica Parker
The playground is great for all ages! There is plenty of space in the park. The train ride is a win to end your visit, plus the carousel if you want to splurge the $20 for 8 tickets. They never expire.

Been going here since I was a kid. Returned for my 21 birthday, has changed a lot but the new buildings are amazing. Good ice cream, good memories, and awesome trains. Can't wait to bring my future kids.
