Great experience. Super friendly and helpful staff meets you as you drive up and checks you in. 15 or so sites for weekenders.
Sites don't have pads per se, you are allowed to park however works, and sites are slightly larger than most private campgrounds.
Very shady, with tall trees around the perimeter that provide excellent afternoon and morning shade.
Nice pavilion in the middle for gathering, but one star off for charging $3 for guests and no guest parking, making the pavilion useful only for gatherings of campers.
Possibly the best campground wifi we've ever used, probably due to the small number of campers. Definitely enough to stream movies, etc. Which is great because there's almost no cell service because the site is in a small but deep valley. (And peaceful, hence the name?)
Located super conveniently right off 169, yet set back far enough that you won't know it's there.
Showers and restrooms, two shower stalls for each gender. Showers are fully enclosed which is nice for privacy but not good for keeping mold at bay, and there's lots of mold stains. Showers/restrooms cleaned 3 times/day.
Would definitely stay again.

Friendly owners. 30 sites. The FHU 1-15 all seem to be seasonals. Back loop are W/E and are all back in. Fairly level and grass or a few gravel. Very quiet away from road. We had site 28 mid week so the back loop was nearly empty. $31 for one night. No OTA TV. In a wooded valley, so cell is little or nothing. Open WiFi seemed to work well. Bath house is aging. Cared for but could use a deep clean. Shower curtains in photos are colored darker at bottom, not dirty. Dump station has interesting design. You use their permanent hose to dump and then reconnect it to a rinsing fixture when done. Would stay again but not a destination.

Great little campground! Went there for a weekend with some friends and it was very "peaceful". You could throw a rock and probably hit 169, but the way it sits in a valley and the tree cover means unless it's really quiet and a car goes on the rumble strips you won't hear the traffic.
About my only complaint (which I get why they do it) is we had a group of 6 but we had to get two campsites (they limit it to 4 people per site). Although they were very accommodating and got us the two sites right beside reach other!
Another small complaint is the lack of cell service (although the Wi-Fi is FANTASTIC!!!!). You have to change your phone to "Wi-Fi calling" otherwise you won't be able to send/receive calls.
Overall we would definitely stay there again if we are in the area.

Absolutely wonderful! The family/owners that ran the place were so sweet and hospitable, a great experience for our group! We really enjoyed our stay, they were super considerate about happening to be doing lawn mowing while we were outside, we appreciated that gesture so much because we didn't even notice the mowing! Super clean bathrooms and all the guests were super friendly and respectful. Definitely hoping to visit again!

Beautiful and Peaceful Campground with Wonderful and Kind Staff!
Staying at Peaceful Valley Campgroud has been truly great! The campground is gorgeous. You are surrounded by beautiful trees, creeks, singing birds, rabbits and more. The owners and staff are some of the kindest people around and truly make you feel at home. They went above and beyond to work with us on getting a reservation and when we had trouble with our RV they were there to help each step of the way. We can't say enough great things about Peaceful Valley, definitely check it out on your next visit!

What a great place. We camped with another couple. The hosts made sure our sites were side by side and the place was full. Very friendly Hosts. The place was quiet and clean with very good WiFi. We will definitely be going back.

Im currently on the last day of my visit. But i can assure you the reader that PEACEFUL VALLEY CAMPGROUNDS is AN EXCELLENT SITE for exactly that (PEACEFULNESS) Its bliss-like. Kathy is blessed with "THE GRANDMA/NANNA" amazing trait..i felt like a visiting cousin or an adopted LOVED 1..

We didn’t end up staying overnight here, as our plans changed, but the campground was super cute, well maintained, the owners were really nice and met us as we drove in. It seemed very quiet and the other campers were nice. There is ice and firewood for sale if you need it, a covered pavilion to hang out under, and it looked like each site had a fire ring. The sites were relatively close together, so if seeing your neighbor isn’t your thing, this might not be the place for you, but like I said, it was quiet, clean, and all the campers there seemed respectful.

It really is very peaceful. Friendly, accommodating staff, very clean restrooms, our campsite had plenty of shade, it was quiet. We're already talking about a return trip.

Wonderful camping experience! The campground itself was lovely, peaceful and the sites were spacious on level ground.
The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They brought us firewood from the office so we didn't have to carry it back which was so very considerate! They also made sure we were informed of wildlife in the area and happenings like lawn mowing in the late morning.
Bathroom facilities were very nice, clean and smelled good every time we used them.
Our group will definitely be planning return visits soon!

An extremely peaceful RV park. The front office people were extremely nice and helpful. The park is laid out well. You would be hard pressed to find a more serene place! The WiFi was great. We loved it! The restrooms are out dated a bit, but clean and very functional. Would definitely go back!

We called here and actually got to talk to someone. It was after 5. The had two spaces. They were very kind. They even came and helped us set up. They made sure that we had everything we needed. Told us to let them know if we needed anything. So peaceful. Very reasonably priced!! They even helped us get here from where we were. When we got here they acted like they were glad to see us. Compared to the other campground the difference is night and day!! Loved it, and definitely would recommend it!! Will definitely be back!!

Great little campground! Quiet, easy, and really good Wi-Fi if parked in the loop around the pavilion. The hosts were very friendly and check-in was super quick. We came in after office hours were closed to see if they had a spot for one night, and they were right there to greet us. Their dump station has its own hose which made quick work for us.
A really pleasant place - zero cell service but the Wi-Fi was reliable!

Owners are very nice, dump station was actually really nice. Camp site was very unlevel and bumpy, there are not gravel pads to park on. It was a bit muddy so our jacks sunk. It was beautiful as for looking out over the creek and into the woods. Brand new electric posts(make sure you have an extension cord and extra hose, its way at the back of the spot.) The real reason for the 3 star review was the close quarters. We couldn't put our awning out because we were so close to our firepit, we couldn't move back because our neighbors firepit was so close, once our bump out went out the neighbors couldn't sit by their firepit. We felt awful, but we couldn't move forward any farther either. We did notice the other side of the campground had more room. We won't go back because of this. I did hear the neighbors complain to the owners/campground hosts about this, as they were just unhappy as we were.

The owners John and Karen and family are amazing and helpful! Not only are they helpful about the community, when our RV awning got caught and damaged in the wind they had resources to reach out to as well helped themselves and borrowed us their ladder and tools. John even dropped them off and picked them up. Very clean, organized and friendly campground!

Nice location with a small creek running through the grounds. Staff was very nice. Check in office has a little store. Average sized sites on level grass. Ours backed up to the creek which was nice. Place has the potential to be a 5 star campground, but it's lacking in upkeep. Bathrooms are old, smelly, damp, and grungy. The seasonal sites were unmowed and messy looking. Besides a playground, not much to do here. Since it is very inexpensive, it's good for a one night stay if you are passing through, but not a good destination campground.

This is a beautiful, quiet, RV friendly campground just outside of Minneapolis. Not many sites, maybe 30 or so. Dog friendly, super nice owners, and close to several parks with hiking trails. There are a few sites that would be perfect for a bigger group (3+ campers). Bonus: the wifi works great in an area with not much cell reception, and the shower house is kept very clean. We will definitely be back next summer!
Doug Farmer
This is a small family run campground. Some seasonal and long term, the rest available for weekend or weekday camping.
The owners are very nice and accommodating. We were there with a small group of 4 couples. The sites at the back off the campground are private, shaded and perfect for a group. There is a pavilion available for use by weekend campers.
We will definitely keep this in our normal camping rotation.
Theresa Rock
Very nice campgrounds, peaceful is a perfect name for it. Located not to far off of hwy 169, but not able to hear the traffic. The owners are very nice people. The bathrooms were kept very clean. Saw a deer walk through the camp and some very pretty birds.
Thank you for the nice place to stay

This place lives up to its name. It is very quiet here, nothing fancy just a nice place to kick back and unwind. We would stay here again.

I found this campground online as we were looking for something within an hour of the Twin Cities for a early fall weekend of camping. We really enjoyed our stay. The managers were friendly and helpful, the campground was clean and quiet and all the accommodations were as advertised - not something you usually find with online information. We will most likely stay here again in the near future - might even try to get another weekend in this year before the snow flies. Thanks for a very relaxing weekend.

Small, quiet campground with very friendly and personal owners

We stayed in the back part of the campground (not by seasonals) which was really nice and big but we were one of three campers as we went early in the season. Space was large with covered picnic shelter in the middle. The place itself is outdated with nothing for the kiddos to do except play on a run down playground. She's were later with a woods setting. Staff was wonderful and very helpful and accommodating. Only giving a 3 star rating for the location being run down and nothing to entertain kids.

This campground with its new ownership (2014) is a well kept secret. Some seasonal residents have a separate parking area near to the parking for transient RV'ers like us. New owners are friendly, and are taking great pride in appearance of the grounds, pavilion, tables and fire-rings at each site. Directions to their facility could be a little better, but well worth the effort to find this CG. Would be a great place to bring several friends for a relaxing time together.

Very quiet and such a lovely little campground. They were also kind enough to accommodate us last minute. If you are in the area and are looking for a nice place to stay I recommend looking here.

We made reservations in early May for Memorial Day weekend and received an email conformation from the owner (Brandon) that he had a full hookup site available for 3 nights. He took a 50% deposit for our stay that weekend. Upon arrival he stated he had me for only two nights and asked if my credit card had been charged the deposit because he had no record of the deposit. His reservation book showed us in site #3 for the weekend. He charged me for a full hookup site before taking me to our site.
He put us into what he continuously called site #1 but clearly is was just a grassy area between the already occupied site #1 and the dump station. The campground has very nice sites with a gravel base, relatively good size grassy area and full hookups in the first 16 sites. Seventeen through thirty-two are grass sites with only electric and water. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring except for the site we were assigned.
After checking my credit card statement the following morning, I found the deposit was taken in mid-May. After leaving a message with another employee Saturday morning about the deposit, the owner called me that afternoon claiming he found the deposit and asked me to come to the office for the credit. When I asked why the reservation book showed me in site #3, the original conformation was for a full hookup site and there was no immediate record of the deposit, he stated it's at the owner's discretion what site you are assigned upon arrival. No reservation is for any particular type of site or specific site number. He credited me the deposit amount and I asked for a free nights stay. He would not agree to the free night but would credit me the difference of the full hookup site and the electric/water site only.
There was no published policies provided upon arrival but the sign out front had two rules: Quiet time was 10pm and all pets must be leashed. Unfortunately the three sites across the road did not live by the leash policy and it was not enforced by the owner.
Overall the campground seems very nice, however I will not recommend or return to this campground specifically due to the owner's policy of reservations. Poor customer service is not good foundation to bring return business.

Peaceful is right. Very relaxing and beautiful campground nestled in a valley. Owners were great to deal with. Fhu sites as well electric water sites. Dump station on site. Nice playground for the kids.
Karen Roberts
Best Peaceful place with beautiful surroundings. The most friendliest owners ever.
Ian Warzecha
Nice place to camp only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because there is no cell reception and the Wi-Fi is pretty bad. Edit they did some work on the wifi and it now reaches the back of the camp ground. Bumped up to 5 stars in my book!

Clean and comfortable great campsite

Great place to stop relax for the night.. had play areas for children to get out and run some energy out. Very friendly staff. First time stay would definitely stop again. *****
Dave Dyer
A little too peaceful. The bath houses really could use some updating. Pretty moldy and very little effort being made to improve from what we could see while we were there.
Josiah Romick
Lovely and well maintained, I'd say quiet if the owner didn't mow the grass with a super loud, stinky machine seemingly every second day.
Sarah N
Staff were so helpful, friendly, and accommodating. Campground is hidden out of sight but easy to find just off the main highway.
