The best dog park in the Midwest! What a great concept - giant dog park with a few restaurants and bars. You could spend all day here even without a dog! Wish they had these in every city in the country. A wonderful time! It’s almost worth visiting Kansas just to come here!

Excellent place for you and your dogs. The customer service is what you would want it to be and expect it to be they not only take care of you but they take care of your pets and they keep an eye on your pets to make sure they are safe even on busy days they do not steer away from their jobs. The facilities are in top-notch shape and kept in top-notch shape strongly recommend anyone to make the trip there it was well worth the 6 Hour Dr.

Can’t love this place enough! I’ve been away from the KC area for over 3 years and couldn’t wait to come here again. Went here for memorial weekend and it’s busy as I remembered! ✅ Lots of fun things to do ✅ Good food and drinks. Try their FRIES 🍟 ✅ Wonderful and attentive staff ✅ This place is for DOGS. What more reason do I need to give this place a 5 star?! ⚠️ A little pricey if you plan to go here multiple times without getting a membership ⚠️ Come here with your PACK! Better to pay the $10/15 for first dog + $5 additional dog than paying separately. 🔥 Get ready to have a good time!

My boys absolutely love this place. One of our dogs is very social and active which is great for a place full of other dogs to chase and be chased by. I love watching him play and he now gets very excited anytime we look like we’re leaving. He sometimes seems like he’s begging to go back. Our other dog took some getting used to but it had brought him out of his shell quite a bit and now interacts with other dogs way more. There are so many type and personalities that your dog is certain to find a friend or many. Drink and beer selection is great and the food was really good too. The attendants on staff are so excellent at breaking up any altercation and are so quick at correcting.

I was visiting from Boston and was brought here by a friend. Honestly, one of the coolest places I had been to. For starters, the dog park itself is amazing. It makes full use of the overpass it's built under for plenty of shade. Lots of areas for the dogs to run around and play. For the humans, the indoor and outdoor bar along with incredible food was something I hadn't really come across before. Add they had a stage and they had live music all while catching up with a brew and letting the doggos play? Pretty incredible.-- Bar K needs to open a daycare next!

Great place to bring your dog and eat! It has so many things for dogs to have fun and run around. My dog could spend a whole day here and be just fine! One of the cool things about Bar K compared to other dog bars we have been to in other states, is that they have people walking around to help diffuse doggie kerfuffles to avoid bad outcomes.

Went for the first time on a Sunday afternoon. Parking was extremely hard to find. If going and it looks busy, I would park further away because trying to park close can be difficult and take a long time to get back out. The “dogtenders” in the park do a great job watching the dogs to make sure no one is being to mischievous. Love that o could grab a beer and be out in the park with my dog.

What a great idea and great execution for a dog park!! Very few negatives (sometimes is almost too crowded) and plenty of positives. The food is very good. The staff is outstanding. A great way to spend a sunny afternoon with your best friend!

Awesome place to take your furry friends. They have a large dog area, small dog area, and restaurant where you can enjoy food both with your pet outside and by yourself inside. You can meet like minded people and their dogs. All of the dogs are nice as it is a requirement of entry. The food is okay but the real draw to this place is being able to bring your dog and socialize while they socialize.

Bar K is Stevie's absolute favorite place, and it's a great hangout place for the humans, too! They have the best chicken tenders ever and they have a menu for the pups, too! I also appreciate that they have a variety of vegan options.

We loved our visit to Bar K! The dogs all got along fantastically. There were probably 100+ dogs running around with no unruly dog mishaps. Owners were super attentive. The food in the restaurant was actually pretty good, too. They had a nice beer and other beverage selection. Overall, tons of fun. If we are in KC again, we will bring the pups there.

Such a cool concept! I love this place and wish there was one closer to home. Brunch was decent, nothing crazy exciting. Server was very nice and drink selection was killer. I forgot to take pictures of the open space for the puppers but it is massive! My pup had a great time. Be mindful of your pup though. While your pup might be well behaved others are not and that’s no fault of the place.

Such an awesome place. Stopped in on a cross country road trip with the pup and this place was awesome. Bar K is a full up dog park attached to a restaurant. Has a good selection of food and drinks but the real attraction is the park. Under the watchful eye of several dogtendants roaming around, your dog can play unleashed across a huge patch of turf. There are water fountains and climbing areas for dogs too. The bar backs up against the park so you can have a beer while your dog plays. There is a big and small dog park too. Highly recommend!!!

Such a great fun place for dogs and people! The attendants are awesome and are always on top of things! I love taking my dog there since he lives with two senior age dogs who don't want to play with him! This is a great place for him to get mental stimulation and physical stimulation and he is always so tired and sleep the whole way home!

Maverick and I love coming here! Everyone is so nice and friendly, the staff is great. Every once in a while you run into people who don't understand it's a dog park and how control gates work when you're trying to either unleash or leash up in them, and they open the gates on you. But the dogtenders are very helpful and are amazing, don't forget to tip them!

I won't take my dog to almost any other "park" as to be honest, I sometimes worry about other dogs' behavior and sometimes other pet owners don't quite know what they're looking for when a pet is getting overwhelmed and it's time to back off. But with the fully staffed and trained dogtenders monitoring for any escalating behavior, I feel comfortable bringing my 9 year old cavalier king charles spaniel here as long as she wants to! It's loads of fun while being just organized enough for safety. She makes big friends and small, and she loves the beef stew and other treats made for dogs.

Great place to let your dogs wear off some energy and socialize with people and dogs of all kinds. Bar has everything you're likely to want, and the food from the restaurant is very good too! Dog-tenders (and most, not all, dog parents) do a good job keeping everyone in line before play gets too rough or aggressive. An annual membership is well worth the price, especially if you have more than one dog. And specific breed meetups every weekend this year should be fun. We're very lucky to have a place like this in town!

My pup and I visited Bar K for the first time on a very cold December evening, and the heated winter tent with seating was a very pleasant surprise! The actual dog park is very large and clean, with plenty of space for the dogs to run around comfortably. The staff were friendly. Great experience.

Fun concept. Lots of energy and dogs galore! We don’t have a pup, but stopped by to check it out anyway. Everyone is super friendly. Good drink choices and nice sized menu (we didn’t eat, but foos looked good coming out of kitchen).

Awesome place to take your furbabies! Lots of room for them to roam and barktenders on duty to help monitor all the doggos. They even have special meals and drinks to order dogs. Super neat place.

We are members and take our dogs to BarK 3+ times/week. Both dogs love it though they are different speeds: Freya loves running and playing and Heimdall is a crunchy olboi who keeps to himself. I always feel comfortable going inside to eat because of the capable and kind dog tenders. Freya runs her butt off and is always exhausted after (see pic) Highly recommend this KC gem!

When we got here I may as well have been taking her to the vet. She didn’t want to go in😂. I paid the $10 cover charge ( that’s not refundable) so this was happening. If your dog loves dogs this place is perfect. They have climbing features, water play areas,good supervision and cooling areas. Sadly, my dog is a people dog and really had no idea what was going on. She liked the attention from people but not so much from the dogs. So for us, this is not a good value for the price but if your dog likes to play with other dogs this place is GREAT!!

If you have a dog and an thirst for social interaction, food, and drinks. You need to check out Bar K. The staff is very friendly and engaged. I even met an employee on her day off with her dogs there. Very clean park, dog tenders all over the place to keep it safe and fun. Plenty of space and furniture to play on and around. They have a beer garden. I even saw dog yoga. They have good food options and even gluten free buns. And several dog food items on the menu. The membership will pay for itself if you come here at least once a month. Update: if you happen to adopt a dog or puppy from one of their adoption events, they throw in a free membership for one year!!

As a dog trainer I do not usually use or recommend dog parks in general but BarK is so different and the people are amazing! You can feel great going there to let your pup socialize, play and have lunch with you and know that they are there to help you if an issue arises between dogs. You are never alone at BarK!!

I love this place! My fur baby and I are here almost daily as we use it as his park. I don’t always get a drink or food when I’m here, but their draft cocktails are fantastic and the service is great. We love the dog tenders who are incredibly friendly and take the time to get to know the regulars. It’s also entirely worth it to get a membership. I held off for months and finally got one.

Bar K is the BEST. We took our 1 year old dog here on a Thursday around noon and it was pretty slow, but perfect for introducing her to the area. She LOVED it. She quickly made a friend and they zoomed around and played fetch. When she was ready for a break, my wife and I took her over to the (leashed) outdoor eating area where we had a bite to eat for lunch, including specially prepared food for the dog, a water bowl by the table, and a carabiner attached to the table to allow us to keep our hands free and our dog close! The staff were all SUPER friendly and helpful. We recommend this place 100%, and will definitely be back.

The dog loves it there. The ground is covered in artificial grass so it keeps the paws clean. Lots of other dogs for her to play with. Attendants all over to keep it running smoothly and help with messes. Drinks were reasonable too. Has a huge, very nice tent on the patio that is heated to about 50 degrees on the patio so it is tolerable in the cold now. Great idea! Wish they had a satellite location in Lawrence!!!

Such a great place! Stopped here on a cross country road trip on a recommendation from friends, and it was a wonderful break for us and our dog. Service was prompt and friendly, and I felt like our server went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcome, bringing a bowl of ice cream for our very picky eater dog, and turning down the loud music so we could be more comfortable. The food was tasty and reasonably priced, and I very much enjoyed my “Sit, Stay” cocktail! We were also very relieved to see our dog, who had been eating poorly on our trip, finally happy to eat the turkey and sweet potato meatballs. Will definitely try to stop here again on future road trips!

Oh my gosh. This is probably the coolest place I've taken my dog, Polly, in a while. There was so much space for her to roam and meet friends! She sniffed butts until she had met every new dog! While she did that, I stayed under the heated tent and had some drink and enjoyed some of the other dogs company. It was heaven for both of us. Highly recommend checking out Bar K...for you and your furbaby!

This place is epic. I've been here a few times now, and I'm just as excited as my dog, haha. The dog park is very large and open for the various dogs to run around and play. Smaller dogs get their own section if desired. Staff members are prevalent and attentive. There is ample seating near the dogs if you want to stay close to yours, or if you want to be near the "action". If not, the attached sit-down restaurant is an excellent option. The first floor (indoor) doesn't allow dogs inside, so it's easier to manage a relaxing dinner without the chaos of your or someone else's dog. The first and second floors (outside) allow dogs and have carabineers hooked to their rails to make it easy to keep the doggos away from the food. Food options are limited here, but not a bad selection. The quality is surprisingly good for the environment. Aesthetically the restaurant is pleasing as well. Heaters are provided during the colder months to ensure customers are comfortable outside. If you just want to hang with friends, there are several outside bars, although I've only ever seen one open (near the restaurant). There is normally an attached tent on the back side for covered seating and live music regularly. You are allowed to grab a drink and walk around with it. About 50% of the park is covered from the highway above. I love the repurposing of this land under the highway. It worked out perfectly, and it isn't even loud. At times, a train passes by the park, which is definitely loud, but it's temporary. Before getting in, you are required to fill out a form on your phone indicating age, health status, and spay/neuter status. It's a quick process. If you visit without a dog, there is no entry fee. With a doggo, it will cost you: Weekdays - $10 for the first dog, $5 per dog after. Weekends - $15 for the first dog, $5 per dog after. Membership passes are offered as well, which will help you skip the lines and get right in. Yearly or monthly passes exist and change per location. An example from one location would be: Yearly - (Paid Up Front) $225 for the first dog $50 for the second dog $25 for each additional dog thereafter. Last thing is they regularly offer different specials on food and drink for their customers, such as half priced burgers or $5 off pitchers of beer. It's a solid experience. Give it a shot with your doggo =]

Best dog park in town! Friendly, attentive staff who watch over dogs to ensure no problems. Great play areas with artificial turf, so no muddy areas after rain. Plenty of activities for dogs and humans. I like to go after work, have a beer and watch my dog have so much fun! I laugh often watching other dogs play and run together. Too cute!! Delaney is especially kind... She watches over all of the dogs to make sure they all are getting along. She is an outstanding employee and is delightful to visit with! Too many great things to mention about Bar K, you just need to go there and see for yourself. 😀

So, this place is an amazing spot for your dog. It's also a very good spot for you. A lot of the stuff may seem annoying to you, because you are a human. There are, however, things that they need to do as a liability issue, because there are so many dogs there. Get over it. Over it? Good! Now you're in a fun place! I love BarK! I bring my dogs here all the time, and most of the staff is awesome (especially the night staff). Let me say the night staff is always so nice and so good at doing their jobs! Tonight I was here with my boys and my youngest pup was in the puppy area and some sketchy guy tried to steal him and claim he was his dog! It was terrible, I am so thankful the staff stopped this man; however, I will not be leaving my puppy in the puppy area anymore. I think the whole thing with the blue tag is quite dumb and doesn’t make any logical sense whatsoever especially when considering small, adult dogs can and do go to the puppy area and also carry diseases and all that jazz. I mean, part of coming to a dog park is accepting there are risks so the blue tags are pretty pointless. Anyway, the staff told me tonight I no longer have to leave my pup in that area since he was almost taken and I can bring him wherever I go, thank god.

Bar K is now our mandatory stop when traveling between Colorado and Michigan. It's exactly in the middle and our dogs LOVE it. So do we. They have a great beer selection and the dog play yards are so fun. Both our dogs are small enough for the small dog area and we love getting to meet puppies there! We also all enjoy the big dog area! So much to do and see and smell there! The entrance fee for dogs is well worth it. Especially for dogs tired from being on the road all day!

Love the staff and the atmosphere at BarK. Everyone there prioritizes your dogs safety and the dogs enjoyment of the park. It can be a bit pricey for the food and dog treats, but if you're looking for a place where you and your dog can relax and have a night out. This would be it.

We bring our dog here 3-4 times a week and are so happy to have such a fun place to hang out. She loves it, of course, but we may love it more. It’s a perfect chill date spot to have a couple of drinks, pet doggos, laugh at their antics and leave with a tuckered pup. Their dogtenders are great and we never have any concerns about leaving our dog outside while we go in for a bite or a drink. In the winter, they have a cozy heated patio and in the summer, that patio is sunny with live music and a garden bar. Truly one of our all time favorite places to spend time in KC.

It was surprising clean for how many dog were there. We didn’t eat but did have a couple beer. Our dog loved it and all the dog owners were kind and consider. The dog that were aggressive were quickly pulled off the field by the dog handlers. We will go back.

Awesome place for dogs and their owners! My dog was so worn out playing with the other dogs and the park facilities. The play area was clean and all the dogs were so well behaved. After playing we food and drinks were also amazing.

Awesome concept but actual implementation is less than ideal. A couple of negatives. 1. There were a lot of dogs even within the first hour of opening and the staff that are advertised as watching the dogs can't possibly keep up with all the aggressive dogs. Our dog whined to come inside away from the dogs. 2. The website implied that the dogs could be inside the restaurant as long as they were leashed, but in reality the indoor space is "humans only" and the only place the dog can be with you while eating is inside a semi-heated tent. 3. We stopped on a road trip to watch the World Cup final (the major sporting event in most of the world) and the manager refused to put the audio for the game on and instead said she had to keep the generic Top 40 music on. We were the only customers inside, so there were no competing requests. Our waitress even offered to turn the sound on for us as she noticed we were having to stream it but the manager stopped her as well. There's no way they don't have sound during their Chiefs watch parties so I didn't appreciate the double standard and lack of customer service.

Came for there soft opening at there new location. It was amazing with a great dog park including jungle gym and a wading pool. With over size yard games to play and hang out with your friend. A full bar and a grill inside. Since it was soft opening didn’t get to try there full menus. I’m excited to go back and try it. Went back and tried the food human and dog. The dogs thinks it’s delicious and I would agree. Now have been there multiple times including Dog yoga this place is amazing!!

Great place for any dog lover! My dogs throughly enjoyed running around in the open field making friends while my husband and I were able to grab a bite to eat along with buying some treats for our dogs. The staff is attentive and do a good job at looking after the dogs and there's a water station at almost every corner along with some tennis balls. A definite stop for anyone wanting to enjoy some good food while out with man's best friend.

One of the coolest places in KC! This is a huge bar, dog play area, and restaurant with plentiful options for dogs to run around. You do have to pay to bring a dog ($10 for one dog per day, $5 for a second dog, or $225 for a year membership). If you don’t have a dog, you can still go enjoy the doggos for free- it’s very entertaining to watch them. You do have to sign a waiver before entering. Plenty of seating and lots of great views. Also, the food is delicious (try the loaded chips)! They even have an outdoor stage with live music sometimes. Worth checking out!

I went there to meet my daughter and her dog. We met a lot of dogs and dog owners. There is a restaurant and bar on the inside and the outside of the park. The food was really good and priced just right. This is a really great place with very friendly staff. I can't wait to go again.

My daughter speaks highly about the Bar K, for months she's tried to convince me to check it out. My thoughts on the subject was "another dog park, okay." But this trip, she calls me to say she and her Italian mastiff are going out and she can stop by and pick up Sheba and I for an unforgettable experience. The facility was beautiful. The layout as well as the the multiple open options for a dog was ingenious! It did not matter the age, size, or ability of your dog there was a lot for them to enjoy. The food, OMG! I particularly was surprised by the vegan options that were available. The hours, 7am to 10pm, who else does that? I could go on and on. This place was amazing. My shepherd and I absolutely loved it! I'm going back to get my membership asap! I will be a regular.

Today was the first time for me & my fur babies at Bar K. We live about 90mins away, so we treated it as a treat after hanging out at Shawnee Mission Dog Park on the lake in KS. Loved the size of it, the puppy social scene, the room for people to enjoy eating & beverages & live entertainment! Esp in these weird times. It was also appreciated while eating in the humans only area that we had tvs to see our pups on. If we lived closer, we would be regulars.

So cool. Dog Utopia. VERY well staffed. The food area is of course dog friendly but we let our dog play outside the area in the nicely gated area. They are very cognizant about the coming and going of dogs through specialized gate entry areas. Memberships are available although I don't know what you get. Anyway, it is super clean and the staff was awesome!

We really enjoy Bar K. We live an hour away and will commute to take the dogs to play. The stay is typically pretty friendly and will help with any concerns. The food is just okay, I would go there if you’re just going for food. They also have food for your dogs for purchase and even a doggie “beer”. They have an outdoor dog pool, lots of play equipment and much more! We usually only get to go about every 3-4 months but it’s a good experience.

Our Corgi loves going to BarK we like it because everyone is friendly and the park is completely fenced in with different play areas for different sized dogs plus food & drinks are a bonus-the largest play area is shaded. Worth checking out for sure!

It was really cool! I love that it's off from everyone so the dogs can bark until there hearts are content. There is literally a bar, so you can drink until your hearts content. They have a small doggy area, and a large doggy area. There is even a guy that will paint your dogs portrait, for a fee of course, but he is good! And every one commingle together. You get to ask about other dogs etc...great for an outing with your dog!!! It's cheap and lovable entertainment. You should definitely go!!!

Fantastic experience here. First of all in order to expedite the process of attending this dog park/bar for the first time it's a good idea to fill out the guest form online where you can even prepay for your dog's entry. It costs $10 during the week and $15 on the weekend for your dog to attend. Humans can always get in for free. the guest form consists of a short questionnaire requesting your dogs temperament vaccination record veterinarian name age and breed. It is fairly inclusive without being overly excessive. I believe the purpose is mostly just to weed out dogs with a incomplete vaccination record that do not have regular veterinary care or are not well socialized. once you arrive at the dog park if you filled out the questionnaire already you can quickly give them your name and or cell phone number for them to look you up and let you into the dog park. If your dog is less than 25 lb I believe or less than 6 months old they recommend you start in the small dog side which is fenced off and much smaller than the main dog park area. Both the small dog and the large dog fenced in areas have access to the outside seated eating area that is an area that dogs are also allowed and encouraged on leash. You also have access to an interior human-only inside building area that is enclosed and offers additional seating for eating as well as access to a bar. Once you are in the small or large dog fenced in area with your dog you must have them off leash and they are allowed to run and play in an interactive jungle gym style Park of sorts. They have access to tennis balls tables they can walk on as well as fake astroturf, dirt pathways, rocklandscaping, etc. All areas have available freshwater spigots and dog tenders. these dog babysitters are there to assist you in mediating any dog interactions that are unfavorable, they will break up any fights or dog play that is too rough using Rattlers as a distraction or Force if necessary. The dog area also has access to a bar where you can buy a beer or cocktail that have cute names and you can sip a beer while watching your dogs play. It's encouraged to keep an eye on your dog but if you decide to go inside to eat food the dog tenders can help keep an eye on your pet while you're eating. You can take your dog inside the first fenced area with picnic tables where you can order off of a extensive human menu of food and cocktails from entrees to appetizers. On this menu is also a dog friendly menu with things such as breakfast burritos, jerky, and other dog friendly treats. there's even a non-alcoholic dog beer if you decide drinking with your dog is something you want to try. I love the tuna wonton nachos it's like sushi on a bed of ginger dressing and wonton chips that I have never had anything like anywhere else. but tuna is raw and reminds me of sushi which I love and my dog Romeo really enjoys the breakfast burrito while I'm eating. The tuna wonton nachos cost 11 or 12 bucks and the dog burrito is $5. Members often get discounts on food and drinks so this is sometimes available at a discounted price. I have ran into a few Wiley dogs while attending the dog park at bar k but the doctors were quick to separate them from my small breed beagle and he doesn't mind a little rough housing on occasion. I would encourage people to keep it a close eye on their dog just for the sake of no one ever knowing exactly how two dogs are going to react to each other. It's always good to be with him close range in case something gets a little bit out of hand. However I feel safer here with this group of dogs and owners than I do it most dog parks, especially being aided by the help of the employees that act as mediators quickly able to break up any altercations. I have started attending during winter hours and I'm pleased to report that it is very tolerable for humans and dogs alike, there is a covered area with heaters and this has really helped me continue to exercise my dog in the winter months. It sure beats freezing my butt off at a park with the wind whipping across me and my furry friend.

When I first got this membership for $200 I was admittedly wholly unimpressed due to lack of control from aggressive dogs, and lack of information that would have been good to know like where the puppies go and until when.... However. This company seems to have taken a more proactive response in stopping aggressive dogs (actually havent witnessed an issue for many months now), and I overheard one of them talking to a new puppy owner. It was like night and day. I dont know if this is in part to my previous review or if they fixed the issues they had on their own. But I'm now very pleased Gillie has a membership here. I'll definitely be renewing next year.

Alright, so idk how anyone can rate this place less than 5 stars. The location is amazing, the area is a fun up-and-coming district being revitalized. There is tons of stuff to do, and this bar/dog park just completes the experience. We went on a Sunday and there had to be at least 50 dogs there. The dog handlers are fun and genuinely love the animals they tend to. There’s great food and drinks inside, play equipment for the dogs, a cute little gift shop, decent price for everything, and heated outdoor areas for those colder days. As with any public dog park make sure doggos are vaccinated and up-to-date on their healthcare, and beyond that just bring some friends and have a blast. Seriously, 10/10 and I’ll be recommending this to anyone who loves animals. Loved the chicken and waffles.

Today was our first time at the BarK bar. I was concerned at first because of how many cars were in the parking lot (they have a lot of parking availability) but the space is huge! They have different equipment for the dogs to play on, a pit full of tennis balls, and several shaded areas with seating throughout the park. Definitely going to be looking into an annual membership, because this is a park you could visit almost all year round (barring extreme hot/cold). The only thing that gave me concern was a terrier mix breed that was being very inappropriate with body checking, aggressive herding and nipping at other dogs for about 15 min until he became tired. This was pretty clearly not just "rough play" but the dog received very minimal correction even with a staff member in the area. The dog itself may not be "aggressive" but this behavior can very quickly escalate into a dangerous situation. These are the kind of dogs I try to avoid at parks. Honestly this is a big reason I'm unsure about committing to a membership.

I love being able to go inside a restaurant while my dog plays! This is an incredible idea and both people and dogs love it. We are members (there is a fee to get in) and have enjoyed many of their perks. Sometimes it can get very crowded as it’s a popular place, especially in the summer time. In general I love this place and recommend it. My only suggestion is to train dog tenders on different breeds and behaviors. Different breeds have different play styles and many times they get “broken up” because they’re perceived as aggressive. Dogs go here to play :)

We took our lab/terrier out to Bar K Dog Park and it was definitely a great experience! As of late May, 2019 it was $10 to bring your dog if you don’t have a membership. It’s worth it if you want to go hang out and play with other people’s adorable dogs. The food, we had a burger, was delicious. Only complaint was that they did not include the fries because that was an extra cost. But we took an order and it was amazing. We also had the nacho potato chips which did not disappoint. We did not drink but they had several bars to take your orders. We spent a total of $40 for two burgers, order of fries, and potato chips with the dog sitting included. Would I come again? Yes. Definitely a nice environment. Very friendly staff who watch your dog and mid the naughty ones. Owners of the pups were super friendly too. If you’re visiting Kansas or live hit this place up!

If your dog is playing outside while you're eating, you can watch them on the big screen TV, televising live footage of the dogs in action! We didn't bring a dog, but the human service was superb!!

LOVE LOVE LOVED THIS PLACE!!! this was truly amazing! There's a HUGE dog park with lots of toys, an outdoor seating area and bar where you can drink with your pups, stages for outdoor entertainment, a groomer, paw washing stations, water bowls.... And that's just the outside! There's an indoor building where only humans are allowed, but don't worry -- your dog will be watched by dog sitters outside so you can go in to eat some yummy meals. I watched the dog sitters and they're very good about making sure dogs don't get into fights. And within a few minutes our dogs were running around with other dogs and having fun. There are tennis balls and other toys available, and lots of things to jump on and off of. It was really cold when I went and it was still packed! Everyone who brought there dogs were very friendly and loved meeting our dogs, too, and weren't bothered when our dogs investigated. There is a tent with heating vented into it and some heaters outside for people to stand near, and also a fire pit. You can warm up with some booze or coffee when the waiters wander around and ask if you'd like something, without leaving your dogs! Service was great and friendly. We had a waiter patiently tell us the whole story of how Bar-K started, and was incredibly nice! Shout-out to him (sorry I forget your name!) Bar-K please come to Indiana! And definitely come to Seattle, who would LOVE a trendy place like this!

The perfect place for doggies and dog lovers! This was my first visit; we were making a pit stop on our cross country trip to get our pup some exercise. The location is just off the freeway. There is no detail they didn't think of on both the people and dog side. So many different areas to climb, play and cool off. I loved all the dog-named drinks and the food options for the furry members of the family. Their fries and ahi salad were delicious! My pup loved the ice cream and the risotto. We also got doggie wine for the pup. The staff was so cheerful and happy to answer all my dumb questions, and they were great at keeping the peace when the doggies would get a bit to rambunctious. Owners kept an eye on their pups and all the dogs were way to happy for their to be any real issues. I wish there was something like this in every major city!!

After a long week of school exams there is no better place to fill up your serotonin tank than this wonderous establishment. There are dogs absolutely everywhere! Bouncing, skipping, tippy taps, and toe beans galore, this may be the happiest place in Kansas city. What's shocking is how delicious their food is! I personally had the Marinated & Grilled Portobello Mushroom Sandwich and man... does that burger really pack itself with flavor! Even the Loaded Chips were excellent (great portions). Our server was not only great at his job, he was very kind, spirited, and you can tell he was smiling through his mask. Thank you, man, with the right arm fox tattoo. I highly recommend this place. 100/10. ps: it's free for those who do not bring a dog.

Have you checked out their food and drink menu? If you have not I highly suggest the visit. They are now offering Saturday and Sunday brunch and you can eat inside even if you don't have a dog. Are you a fan of banana foster stuffed French toast? I am the caramel and bananas complimented the French toast. The cinnamon creme cheese filling was a little too sweet but for a dog park I can positively feel safe with me 9/10 food rating. They have fantastic cappuccinos, and some really amazing specials 21+ drinks, although they are a little pricey on their alcohol. Great place for both small and big dogs.

Get experience for your dog. Staff roams the site to keep “hooligans” in check but it’s amazing to watch dogs govern themselves. The facility it remarkably clean considering the clientele. This may be my favorite place to visit in KC Dog Park: super expansive, lots of playground to run around. Also has a separate park for smaller dogs. Lots of playground equipment and many tables and patio furniture to rest while your dog plays. As a unique feature they offer "dog-tenders" which will watch your dog for free while you eat. Or you can opt to leash your dog (using a carabiner provide at most tables) at the outdoor patio section of the restaurant. That was my favorite feature because it meant we didn't have to worry about our dogs running off and we could easily enjoy our food with our dogs. The dog park was surprisingly "landmine" free considering the volume of dogs running around. Restaurant: has any view you could want. Inside seating, bench seating, table seating, seating on top of the restaurant. Has a great selection of menu items AND offers meals for your your dog on the me so that your dog doesn't miss out on dinner while you visit. Drinks and food are both reasonably priced. Food: I kept my expectations low regarding the food as most places like this skimp out when you are combining unique elements like Bar K does... Big mistake... the food easily surpassed my expectations. Big portion sizes, and the quality was very well done. And the wait was not long at all. To me this was especially amazing because we overheard the restaurant staff had a no call no show and still was able to get it out quicker than 90% of sit down restaurants I've been to. This is a must visit place if you are a dog owner. I plan to come back again everytime I'm in KC. Big props to whoever thought up the idea for this place

The new location is open 08/13 (I think) and current members got a sneak peek this week! More than what I hoped for! So much space, dedicated staff, dog pool, dog jungle gym, dog climbing wall, oversized Guess Who, connect 4 and ker plunk, plenty of seating, a leashed food patio (or let your pup run around with the dog tenders while you eat), indoor dining (no dogs), bars all over, washing station in case your pup gets muddy. They thought of everything. Had the fries with a side of cheese, chips, guac, salsa and deviled eggs. Zero disappointments.

Bar tenders were awesome! Environment was very chill and the dog park was overall great. The only reasons I don't give it 5 stars is because there wasn't a "professional dogtender" anywhere in sight as the website states, so I was too scared to leave my puppy while I went to get a drink or dinner. I was there for 3 hours and never once did I see a "dogtender". Additionally, they do no take away dishes, so there were empty glasses and plates everywhere. It wasn't until almost closing time that anyone came outside to start taking away dishes.

What a fun and safe place for my dogs, and me! Now that I have been there for meals and music I can say Woof!! From me, and my dogs... our favorite playground! And tonight we had a wonderful family reunion at BarK. Our first, and BarK made the experience Delicious, easy and fun!

Great place to bring our teddy bear. It gets pretty busy and can be overwhelming for smaller pups, but the small dog side is often pretty much empty because most people go to the all dogs side.

Great place to take a man's best friend. They have staff walking the park at all times in case a fight breaks out they can stop it right away which they radio in to keep track of how many times it happens. I didn't ask but I assume this is used as a 3 strike your out kinda system. This is also why you have to pay to get into this dog park but its worth it in my opinion. We ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and the Bar K burger the portion size was rather disappointing which is why I knocked a star but the taste was really good especially the sauce they had with it. Beer selection was decent a lot of local variety. Our dogs seemed to love the place, and slept all the way home.

We went here with friends over the holiday week. It was packed. There were literally dogs and people everywhere. There is a "check in" process for dogs and a $10 fee. The grounds are impeccably maintained. There are dog handlers with air horns who supervise the dogs. They are a little trigger happy, but that seems safer than the alternative! Will definitely go again and would recommend.

The space is temporary and the company has plans to build in the river market. If you have a dog, don't like going to the dog park but want to socialize then this is a good place. They have heaters around the bar to keep you warm and plenty of things for your dog to explore. Don't come if you're an over protective dog parent, you'll stress out.

I’ve been a member for the last 2 years. I’ll continue to renew that membership as long as Bar K stays open. My dog Toby loves it here. They know him by name and that speaks volumes. I monitor him at play usually & I've never had any issues with other dogs there. The food from the kitchen is also great. I’ve had almost everything on the menu and I’m always pleased with the orders.

My kids love it here and so do I! Great way to spend time our doors with people and still have a beer or work while your dogs run. The dogtenders are AMAZING and true treasures! They truly get dogs more than almost any owner there. Listen to them please! It makes everyone's time more enjoyable. Now that it is cold it would be nice to have a few more heaters around so we could socially distance while the dogs played. Would totally be willing to pay a bit more to help cover those costs! Thank you! *I don't recommend parking to far from the building though. As with all the city people are out stealing converters and breaking into cars. This is NOT a BarK issue. It's a greater city issue

For people from out of state, we have never seen anything like this...and we loved it! $10 at the entrance for the dog. We went in and found games for humans and dogs, lots of seating, heaters outside on the patio and nice big restaurant with bar inside. Staff were all super nice. First visit there I went for the Charity that night. So impressed with how this was run, you could tell those that work there loves their job. I saw every breed you could think of and happy running around . One older woman walking through parking lot her dog broke free and the staff was on it in seconds and was able to corner the loose dog safely returning to the owner, just so impressed with those ladies!! Dinner after volunteering was incredible, drinks very tasty, I've told so many about Bar-K can't wait to return with my furry friends. Definitely ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🐾

We don't have a dog but wanted to get a coffee near the Berkley Riverfront so I called and was told that they have an espresso machine and all the Bartenders are Barista trained. Cool place for anyone, we ordered an Americano and a cold brew. The Americano was fine and the cold brew coffee was incredible! I asked and the staff said they made their own on sight. Definitely worth a try and as far as I can tell the only coffee place in the area. Oh, we enjoyed the Riverfront trail too, just across the street from Bar K.

Great place for dogs and people. This place has solved the issue of what do the humans do whole the dogs are running around. I visited the big dog side with my 100lb black and tan coonhound, they do have a small dog side for dogs less then 30lbs. There is plenty of room to move around but running around or throwing a ball over long distances is difficult to do. The rock area has a structure for the dogs to climb, steps, ramps, and platforms. The AstroTurf side has guess who for people a water station for the dogs. Their is a path that you can walk that goes through all the different areas. The reason for only 4 stars is they don't have a large area that you can eat with your dog, and the outside bar has a limited drink selection. Overall really fun place, be prepared to wait to get in and there is a $10 cover and questioner that has to be completed on your first visit.

My experience was wonderful. The fenced off area for eating was very clean. There were water bowls for the dogs and they had a dog menu. My dog Lola loved the meatballs. In the free range area, Lola had so much fun. They had people out there taking care of the dogs and monitoring them, so you could go inside to eat or relax at the bar. The food was great and they had many options. If you have a small dog there was also a small dog area. In addition there was an area you could rent for parties and events. I will definitely come back.

My 3 dogs and I had a wonderful time at BarK. I have two 6 year old mixed breeds and a 17 year old, 4.5lb toy poodle. It was probably a mistake to bring the poodle as the park had all dogs in the same area, small and very large, but it felt wrong leaving her at fun while me and the boys went out to have fun. I held her most of the time to avoid her getting injured. More about BarK though... Excellent idea with wonderful execution. You can expect tables and chairs throughout the dog park with a nice outdoor bar that had quick and excellent service. I even had my poodle on a stool beside at the bar at one point. The people at the front door were extremely friendly and helped me keep my dogs near when I was signing us up. We will definitely be back to BarK. I wish this were a franchise so I could open one myself. Great idea!

My puppy and I really enjoyed the space and all the options of places to play. The service was poor and the chicken tenders were very peppery and wet inside - I didn’t even eat them. I got my $8 12 ounce smooths and it was warm and grainy. Also my pup got his $8 dish and it was just three small meatballs - bot at all what I expected. I’ll go back for the atmosphere but the food and service need improvement!

We had our fur baby leashed the whole time just to get her comfortable with the whole idea of watching furriends running around in particular areas and had some snacks in the heated tent area. This is the dog park of your dreams. The food is great. Chicken tenders are some of the best I've ever had. The drinks are fantastic too. And there are always tons of dogs there! We came on a slow night, and my girl Sadie had so many friends to play with. They have also thought of everything. Like leash clips on tables in the restaurant part, and personal water bowls that you can fill at the water station. There is tons of seating, and the atmosphere is cool too. The whole place is made out of shipping containers and is located under a massive bridge, but it still has a modern, but chill vibe. I would highly recommend this place to anyone with a dog, especially if they're looking for a great night out.

Such a great concept and use of an urban area under a roadway overpass. The drinks were great and there was plenty of seating in cool-ish shaded areas. I guess our only complaint was that the bark patrol was a little too much on high alert. It’s OK for dogs to wrestle around and bark at each other a bit. But it seemed like one of the staff members was a little too controlling and overbearing, breaking up even the smallest of puppy rowdy play. Overall though, it was a great first experience.

What a great concept! A bar/restaurant that caters to dog lovers. We are a new dog family, just adopted our girl a few weeks ago and we love to take her with us on outings when outdoor seating is available. The dog park at Bar K is amazing! It's large and clean with plenty of seating for people to enjoy their drinks while they watch their dog play. The food was decent (healthy options are a plus!) And they offer dog lunches as well. Kids are allowed as long as they submit a quiz, stay within arm's reach, and follow dog safety rules. My only suggestion would be to offer an alternative "member package". If we lived downtown I could see us totally utilizing the facility multiple times a month but since we are not we would probably only come once or twice a month. My suggestion would be to offer a punch card for 5 or 10 visits at a cost equalling a small savings per visit.

We finally carved out some time as our 16 year old dog's "last hurrah" and to say that we were completely blown away by not only the establishment but the staff would be an understatement. From the second we walked in until the moment we left everyone went out of their way to make sure our dog had the best experience she could possibly have and we will be forever grateful to all of these amazing people. From a dog bed, to fans, to treats, water, and lots and lots of love, we cannot say enough good things. On top of all of this, the place is super cool and there's so much for dogs and people to do. I’ve had a membership for 2 years now and this place is truly top notch! I highly recommend a membership or at least visiting once or twice per month! My furry buddy and I come here almost daily. You can enter the park and play with your dog and others while having a drink or you can go inside and have a meal while dog tenders watch your dog. The dog tenders really know what they’re doing. It’s apparent they receive training on dog behavior and dog body language. I really appreciate this with my buddy! The food is very good and the waiting staff are friendly! The inside atmosphere is very tastefully designed. It has a unique structure as it’s mostly built out of freight shipping containers. Still a modern and trendy finishes with a great natural light throughout. They’ve taken a brilliant business idea and crafted it to excellence!

I love this dog park. The membership fee may seem steep, but it's more than worth it. You can let your pup play while you sip a cold drink, have a cute date on their patio, or you can just enjoy the dozens of puppy kisses you'll definitely receive here. Because of personal experiences, I will always renew my membership and come back to this park. If you're a worry-wart dog parent like me, this is one of the best places to bring your dog. Personal Experience: Warning, Dog Aggression At one point, my boyfriend brought our dog to BarK to let her play. Another dog snapped at my dog, caught her ear, and managed to puncture a pretty large vein that led to profuse bleeding. My dog needed to be rushed to the vet, and my boyfriend didn't have time to swap information with the other owner. Thankfully, BarK helped bandage up my pup with some basic first aid so she could travel to the vet. They also get information for every owner/visitor just in case something like this happens, as per their policy. We were able to view the incident report and contact the other owner to have my dog's medical expenses paid for. In a normal dog park, this would not have been possible. I am very thankful for BarK's incredible staff and their safety precautions so that I could take care of my pup.

Well laid out, friendly staff-- special call out to Jen who helped enroll for a membership and explained the services well. Appreciated staff patrol the zones to ensure dogs (and owners) were behaving. Heated patio was a nice place for dogs and owners to warm up between zoomies in the play areas that included elevated equipment and multiple surfaces. No cover charge for humans if you just want to enjoy a beverage and pet someone else's dog.

Before I had a dog of my own, Bar K was my go to “happy place” for about a year. Bar K was the inspiration I needed to decide to rescue my Golden Shepard about a month ago. We purchased a membership immediately. The price for a yearly membership is extremely reasonable and well worth it. Today I took Greta, my very gentle dog. She was attacked by another dog but no blood. It was traumatic for both of us but Bar K gets a 5star rating for the way they handled it. Two of the dog attendants got the aggressive dog off of her in seconds. They were so kind and loving to my dog. This evening I received a call from one of the owners to discuss the situation with me. It meant so much to me that he reached out to me so fast. At the time of the incident I wasn’t sure if I should leave the park or stay. I decided to stay and it turned out to be the right decision. We went to the lower play area and soon Greta was running and playing. If we had left immediately I think Greta would have been afraid to return. Thank you Bar K for your genius idea of creating this dog heaven.

What an amazing experience! The Human food was delish with vegan options! And the doggos loved their meatballs and chicken risotto. They played for over two hours in the pool, jungle gym, and walking trail with all the other well behaved socialized dogs. The dogtenders were all amazing and loving towards all the dogs.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. My son and I are fairly new to KC area and I finally decided to start researching dog parks. The staff is great. Customer service is prob the best I've ever experienced. They are fun, nice, and they care about your pets. Not only did my dogs have a great first day, but my son and I had lots to do too. We played tennis, their version of disc golf with tennis balls, and shuffle board with a twist. My son was popular with his football, and we got to play catch. Or more like keep away from all the playful dogs. :) We loved it and this will prob be our new weekend tradition. Thanks Bar K for such an awesome experience! Can't wait to go back.

Really fun place! The adults, kids, and dogs had a great time socializing. Just very laid back, friendly, and well run. The menu had something for everyone, and all the choices were on the healthy side - for people and dogs. There is a good bar out on the decks/patio areas, plenty of parking available, excellent dog handlers/supervisors out in the big play areas. Love the stations for paw washing, and full wash/rinse if your pup gets really filthy. The only on-leash areas are the dining decks and outside the facility. Definitely worth a visit!

Novel setup to allow families with dogs to enjoy an open bar. Great open spaces for dogs to have supervised pay time. yes, multiple staff taking care of your pooch while you can enjoy your drinks and food. Outdoor seating is great. Food is hut and miss, some good dishes (like Poke bowls), while some very average (like breakfast burrito). Good beer selection to quench your thirst. Attentive staff and reasonable pricing (drinks and food with generous tipping came to ~22 $ per head). The only reason to take a star off was lack of proper seating/shade in a common area that is used for private events. Nothing that should keep me away from a repeat visit!

Honestly. This place was amazing! The staff was very alert and focused, as well as friendly and so inviting. The food was fun and good and my dog loved the chicken ricotta (for dogs). I love how there are people to stop dog fights and alot of places to sit! The people there genuinely care about your dog and I honestly would recommend! There cocktails are good and there have some beers there that I can't get anywhere else. There's a pool for the dogs if it gets too hot and they keep track of what's happening with the members in regards to concerns for their pups! I love it! There's room for dogs to play, people to sit, and just so much fun. Even if you go by yourself you can hit it off talking your pup's playmate's owners.

Very accommodating. There was a fee at the door to bring our dog inside, but we didn't mind, especially since it meant that she would be watched by someone while we ate. We are moving from Texas to Minnesota and there were few options where we could comfortably have our dog while we are lunch. Luckily, Bar K came to the rescue. They even let me bring my caged parakeets inside so they wouldn't have to face the cold and brought some broccoli over for the birds. Very good food, extremely friendly and helpful staff. Both my pets and I were happy to be there. Would definitely go again.

Clever concept and it provided a chance to wear down our dogs before hitting the road. We went during the winter and they have propane heaters near the bar and restaurant to warm yourself up if you can get them working. The food was a little less to be desired as it was good quality but the quantity and price was less to be desired. Our dogs had a good time running around with the others. The staff do a good job keeping the dogs from getting too aggressive.

Such a great spot to take your pet to meet other dogs! They section off doggy play areas in sizes ie small dogs, medium and large. Our husky is 2.5 months old and met 3 other puppies around his age and was having a grand old time. I will say though don't trust that just because this is a general friendly dog bar that dogs will always be friendly. I made that mistake and a huge dog tried attacking our puppy while we were in line. Be mindful of bad owners who may keep their aggressive dogs on a little too long of a leash. Thankfully our dog nor I wasn't hurt/bit by that dog but otherwise I would rate this place a 5/5 it's so great if you need to socialize your pupper.

Great place to take dogs and get some food and a beer. Dogs had great time. Great for travelers passing through as we were. We were able to park our RV in the huge parking lot with no issues. Food was a bit pricey, but other than that, great place to stop.

Awesome place. Love bringing my dogs. They have a open play, puppy, and small dog areas that are great for any dogs needs, and allareas are supervised. You can go inside to eat in a no dog area or outside in a leashed dog area. My pups always have a lot of fun meeting other dogs and are so tired they go right to bed when we get home! Food is really good and locally sourced. Pretty good selection of beer and cocktails are always on point. You don't even really need a pup to enjoy this place!

I wish they had more water stations for the dogs. It definitely can be overwhelming with how many dogs/people are there with not much seating. Excellent place. The staff really cares about your dog and strive to learn more about them. After a few visits they know my pup's name and personality. They pay attention and do a great job keeping the peace between dogs so all play is appropriate. I've been there several times and never seen things get out of hand. The food was fantastic! They had such an interesting menu and it was super affordable. Large assortment of booze and not bad pricing. We went while it was cold and they had a warm tent that you could eat in with your dog. They had live music too. We had a great time, even while it was cold. The dog tenders (I think is what they’re called? The trained folks who watch your dogs while you’re away and make sure they play nice) were really attentive and you could tell they were working as a team. They had headsets on and could communicate to each other about certain dogs who might be causing trouble. It was my dogs first time there and while we were away and eating he got a little scared/nervous and I guess got a little snappy with some folks. The dog tenders were SO nice and alerted me and stayed with my dog, made sure he was safe and not near people, until I could get to him and eat outside with him. My dog was totally fine and played great the rest of the time. The dog tenders were so attentive and I was really happy they were watching out for him so closely. It was a great experience and you and your dog will have a great time! My kiddo also had a lot of fun, although some dogs did jump on him. The dog tenders took care of that too and watched out for him as well. Incredibly nice staff!

It's a very cool place. Lots of dogs having fun. But, it was not such a good experience for my dog. It was her first time and she was a bit overwhelmed and unsure about all the activity. She was sitting back and watching the other dogs and a dog that just entered the park ran straight at her and attacked her. The handlers and the dog owner did get the dog off of her, but she was scared. They did check her over to see if she had any injury. She does have a raw scraped area on the edge of an eye lid. She does not appear to have any other injuries. Not the fault of the park, just an unfortunate situation. It's sad, because I am sure she would have eventually relaxed and had fun. She does enjoy playing with other dogs. Unfortunately, I don't feel like I can take her back.

Can't recommend this place enough Edit: The new Bar K by the river is really amazing. A lot of dog watchers to make sure play is safe and staff is all very friendly. Love this place as it is great for the dogs! However, they recently changed their menu and sadly they changed it for the worst. My wife and I got a few different things to sample out the new menu and they were all pretty underwhelming. For example, we tried their new Nashville Bites, which were flavored heavily in salt and also tasted as if it was cooked in fish oil. The old menu had a lot of options such as wraps which were great for a light lunch, but they removed those items and replaced them with more sandwiches and burgers and other carb heavy items that can sit heavy on the stomach, especially if you decide to walk your dog there. I will still support this place as it is a great location for the dogs and to have a few drinks, but I’d recommend staying away from the food.

This is an amazing concept, and the temporary location shows how successful this is going to be. Our pup, Rosie had a great time. We enjoyed being around the other dogs and humans. I love love love this place. We don't live in Missouri, but I heard about this place from some locals at a pet store and decided to take my dog last minute. It was awesome. My dog and I had a blast. It is a really cool and chill environment. The staff were really nice and on their job at all times. The was a wait because of limited people allowed due to COVID19, but they do have a membership option and if I lived closer I would have purchased it. Members had first entry options. They had live music and did I mention the place is huge! The place is huge. I got all my steps in the for the day here and then some. Parking was plentiful and wide with plenty of space to get your pup in and out. I plan on visiting this place everytime I come to Kansas City. I wish I had known about Bar K before today!

I have enjoyed going to Bar K for various social gatherings and have always had a wonderful time. The food a great and the drinks ate good quality. Hosted an event (baby shower) in the lounge space. The staff was perfectly attentive, the catered food was delicious, and the space was absolutely perfect for our group of 15 (could easily fit 25). The lounge had a private patio attached as well that overlooks the small dog area. I will definitely host another event at Bar K.

This place is quite cool and worth checking out whether you have a dog or not. For $10, you can let your dog run all over the outside set up, which has just about anything a dog would want or need, plus lots neither of you have thought of. Although they have people employed to watch the dogs, I never felt quite comfortable enough to just drop my dog off and stay indoors. Based on everyone in the dog park, they would probably agree or simply got a kick out of all of the dogs playing. If you are afraid of dogs, this place will most likely be a waking nightmare for you. If you think you would take your dog here at least every other week, financially you would want to become a member. I would like to give this place 5 stars, but we had a couple of issues. My wife is gluten sensitive, and according to their menu, her only option is a punishment kale salad. I would like to know if their burger patty is gluten free. If so, simply offering a gluten free bun or lettuce wrap would double their gluten free options. While I quite enjoyed their coffee, the orange juice was the kind bartenders use to make cocktails, so not great. I had the breakfast burrito which was fine.

As many have said, this place is a dog and owners dream come true. Wide open, plenty of staff, good drinks/food. My concern though is there was a stage with a DJ playing pretty loud tunes. I'm not sure if there was a special event when I came came or if this is normal. It was good music, but severely too loud. Difficult for humans to have conversations but we also know how sensitive dog hearing is and it created a sense of chaos in the place.

Everything about this place is two thumbs up. The dog park area is massive and there are little pathways for us humans to wander and keep tabs on our pups. There's everything from boulder climbing for dogs to dog jungle gym set, to water pits. From the start they're very organized in checking you in and making sure you're aware of what to expect. The beer garden area is within the dog park so you just sit down and you have tons of other dogs greet you and hang out. KC needed a place like this and it hits a niche for a lot of different people. There's a small dog area as well separate from the dog park, and the food/drinks aren't too bad!

I went for lunch and had the white bean chili and fries. The food was very good. There are lots of interesting and healthy items on the menu. We sat outside and as this is a dog park we watched and played with the dogs. I'd you bring your dog and do not want to watch it while you eat there are trained people to take care of it until you are ready to leave. The atmosphere is casual. If you want to sit inside it is comfortable and clean. Also a selection of dog toys and treats are available for sale. If you wish to dine with your dog you can sit outside and order off the menu for your dog as well.

They have a giant outdoor space for your dog to play, leash free, with lots of equipment and other thing to entertain your pooch! They have live music and lots of shaded areas, as well as sunny ones. It's a very lively and upbeat spot! You can watch your dog play on the TVs located inside while you eat or bring your dog with you into a "on a leash" patio area. The food is very good too! So much fun!

Pretty cool place to take your dogs for some fun and catch-up with friends. I was here for a private event and had a lot of fun. I don't even have a dog but seeing so many dogs playing around is a fun experience.

This is my pup's favorite place to go, and I love it here! Even in the winter, they have heated tents that actually make it warm even when it is freezing outside. Dog-tenders will play with your dog if you need to go inside, etc. Live music every time I have been there. Highly recommended.

People are awesome, employees and other patrons. If you have a dog, bring $10 and go. There is a waiver/disclaimer the certifies your dog has had their shots, so please make sure they are current. There are dog watchers in the outdoor area to keep all the dogs safe so you can have a few brews inside and just check in with them from time to time. They even have dog friendly items you can order off the menu. Not an inexpensive place, I think the cheapest beer it's $6, but there are daily specials. Went on a Tuesday for trivia, was pretty fun, didn't even get to check out the second floor upstairs. Cool, new concept, absolutely worth checking out if you have a dog... Even if you don't have a dog and you want to go meet a few!

Do you like dogs? Do you like bars? This is the best place for you. The staff is amazing at dog handling, I've never felt worried about my dog in any context. The people working there clearly care about animals and making sure everyone has a good time, so I have complete trust in letting my dog run around for hours.

Super friendly staff and clean amenities. Staff is attentive and helps manage the crowds of dogs very well. Additionally the beer prices are fair and the happy hour specials are decent. The food for dogs is also very much enjoyed by my dogs. Dog owners with friendly dogs should check it out

Both my adult dogs go here very often, and their staff does a great job at controlling the playing with dogs, unlike many dog parks where dogs run wild with no leadership! Their food options are super healthy and always fresh as well. Five stars isn’t enough!

This place was fantastic. You can grab a bite to eat and the dog handlers keep an eye on the dogs. The playground is extensive, and it's such a great place to let them stretch their legs. You don't have to have a membership and they have a separate areas for small and large dogs. I cannot recommend this place enough.

My granddaughter and I spent the afternoon with her dogs, and I could not imagine such a place existed. It's a special treat to watch dogs and the owners enjoy the weather and socialize. I can't have a dog where I live, and being around them is such a joy. Before I even went home I made plans to visit again. I have told all of my friends about Bar K, it's the kind of place I want to be.

Go check this place out! If you're reading this and wondering is it worth it on a Tuesday night just go. We had an absolute blast. Our Wolfhound pup is extremely timid with other dogs thanks to not being socialized during COVID and even she thoroughly enjoyed herself. The Dogtenders they have there are fantastic and use multiple methods to mediate and disrupt any rough or aggressive dog interactions. The bartenders were great and they have a good beer selection. The dog park itself has different areas with varying terrain and structures for the pups to play on. The people we met were all, obviously, dog people that enjoyed a good beer and we had some fantastic conversation while watching the doggos zoom around.

We have two medium-sized dogs; one very hyperactive and one fairly shy. Both dogs loved being able to run and hang out with other dogs outside and were tired by the end of it all. Bar K's system of registering and monitoring really helped us trust that our dogs were safe too!

This place is nothing short of amazing. Since opening they have given so many "locals" opportunities to come in and be apart of the "you and your dog can do anything" movement. From local bands, trainers,instructers, all the classes they offer. The daily specials are great and overall it's a fantastic time watching your dog have an absolute blast. I could go on and on about how great this place is...but you gotta go see for yourself.

We stopped here on our way through Missouri on a road trip and it worked perfectly for us! Our dogs got to run while we grabbed a coffee! There is food and alcoholic beverages available as well. The staff is very friendly and there are many “regulars” that brought their pups here and kept our dogs busy even on a weekday mid-morning. If we lived closer, we would absolutely be getting a membership to this park!

Was not sure what this was. Met with my friends. Bar k definitely gives a safe environment for all dogs to run around and enjoy. The employees are very thoughtful. At first I was a little upset for having to pay the $15. By the end of my experience I was turned around and was excited to go back. And that had to do with all of the staff . Did not meet one that was not friendly.

I’ve heard alot about Bar K, so today my roomate and I went to check it out. Everything went great at first our dog was mixing well with the group and there weren’t too many dogs even playing. So we go inside, order some food, and then go to the top balcony to eat but still able to observe our dog play. When we were up there watching, we noticed a German Shepherd had been fixating on our dog. She attempted to correct him a few time to no avail, but the worst thing was that they were right next to a dogtender that was too busy on their phone. So after we finish our food, we go down to the play area to and the same shepherd is still fixated on our dog, nothing was done until we brought it to the dogtender’s attention. Not to mention that there were 3 dog tenders within 5 feet of each other, I would think they would need to be more spread out over the entire play area since it is so huge. Unfortunately we had to leash our dog because she had become too distressed to continue play without acting out, we think because of nothing being done about the other dog picking on her. Regardless of this experience I will be returning because I don’t want to completely write Bar K off because I have heard many good things. Off days are okay, but you must be aware when working with dogs.

This is a whole new level of fun for the dog and you can go at night time they have a vet and dog groomer on site that you can schedule appointments with during the week. This is my dog's favorite dog park. They should have these all over the place like QuikTrips. So if you're ever here front Street in Kansas City Missouri that's the place to go the dog you're up until 10:00 at night
