This resort is my happy place! I feel extremely lucky to be here. The park is amazing! The people truly make you feel like family. You can tell the new managers are doing all they can to update the park and work hard and care about their resort. I’m excited to see what all will be offered in the near future!! The Marina is beautiful.

First time RVer, and I wanted a stay near Houston TX. This RV park is small, cosy, quite, and right off the water. We stayed in parking spot C6, and with my front glass, the view was out onto the water with the palm trees. Restrooms are clean and also have showers. Laundry room is clean and nice. $3 a machine for wash. The bad: WiFi signal is 1 to 2 bars. Connects but then disconnects quickly. Speeds when it connected were 1.2 Mbps. You have to accept the WiFi use on the browser page, so this WiFi does not work for TVs. -1 star The event center was closed. It could have potential if it were open cause the event center is next to the water with a great view. -1 star For quietness, friendly neighbors, close to the sea wall and other locations in Galveston TX., I recommend this location for overnight weekend getaway.

We are locals that did a one night stay to test out our new camper, the park was so nice. We stayed in campsite C2 right next to the bathhouse and laundry facility. Which can be both a negative and postive; postive- close to bathrooms, laundry and office. Negative- a lot of traffic coming through. From site C2, you are able to see the water if no one parks there trucks in front of there campers. The flat pad is roomy and we had plenty of room (out camper is 30 foot). The pull-in sites in front of row C appeared pretty tight but most rigs were huge. Overall the campsite was clean and we felt safe. FYI there is a $25 pet fee.

This location has really fantastic sunsets. We enjoy staying here because of the waterfront. You can bird watch, fish, or just watch the boating action. As I have mentioned location and view is nice but what makes this RV Resort recieve a 5 star review is how the owners Sandy and Rusty handle customer service. We have stayed here several times, as a matter of fact it is better than VRBO or AirBNB. The amenities and improvements continue you make this a family value, and a place to make memories!

Since my arrival, I have had nothing but pleasant experience with the staff and owners. I felt so welcome and like a part of the family. The location is perfect, near the beach but also close to anything you need. Can't even begin to explain how amazing the pool and hot tub is. Then there's the marina just a few steps away and can even rent a kayak. This is THE best RV resort I have ever seen or been to.

This testimonial is long overview. My husband and I stayed here for 2 months last spring in order to have a medical procedure in Houston. This park was perfect for us. We loved it here. Not only is Galveston RV Resort and Marina well located, in walking distance to shops and excellent restaurants, but everyone who works here is amazing. From the Managers Sandy and Rusty who go out of their way to make you feel at home, to Misty, the wonderful customer service person who is a joy to be around. It is obvious that everyone loves their job. That says a lot about the owners of the company. We decided to return for 4 months this winter. We were astounded at the improvements. Rusty, Rachel and Bill are hard at work making concrete pads on each site. A level site is every RVer’s dream! And, we couldn’t believe that in 6 short months, a beautiful pool and hot tub were constructed. That was the only thing lacking on our last visit. Now, we are in heaven!

I just moved to this little park for the winter. It took getting use to small sites but the park is so beautiful and clean. And, the friendliest staff and neighbors.. They have a great pool and hot tub, and it is right on the water. So happy I found this place.

Overall not a bad resort but has its issues. Bathrooms are in bad shape and showers have holes in the wall. Shower curtains missing as well as far as the gentleman’s bathroom. Management claims to be “pet friendly,” however we were emailed twice that are dogs tethered out front of our camper were a disturbance. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning due to this complication and don’t recommend if you are concerned about shower conditions. On a positive note, they had a nice pool area and the hot tub was well heated. The staff was friendly and helpful. I’m not trying to be rude about the dog situation but it was an unfortunate situation because our site was right next to the office and we have three dogs and a pop up camper so keeping them inside all of the time is difficult. Which means they barked a few times at people walking past but not continuously. Mainly at other dogs.

That was our first stop on our way down the south coast heading to Florida! Those highway s an bridges were pretty crazy on highway 10! Awesome place to visit an stay!

Nice quiet campground, the concrete pad I was on was level, set up was easy, the camp site is a little small but I'm not going there for long term, I'm just enjoying the weekend at the beach and sightseeing, can't wait to have the pool finished and the restaurant and bar up and running, I know the campsites are still under construction but Rusty did a wonderful job helping us out over the long weekend we where there.

The Galveston RV Resort and marina fantastic place to stay what I like about it is that it's a smaller RV Park and the pads the cement pads are absolutely huge you can keep the trailer clean in there that a thing I liked was a staff everyone was very friendly and there's actual oysters out the water very nice place I highly recommend it

Loved it here, we were right on the water and were able to fish and kayak right in front of the trailer, the people in the office were very nice as well. The restrooms were okay just more like community pool restroom feel to them (not private) all in all we will definitely be back

SV Jayden Marie AGLCA Fleet 2022-2025 Young Cruisers Association lifetime members... We have very much appreciated the kind and helpful staff and management for allowing us to have packages delivered at their location. While we are anchored nearby. We would have loved to be able to use the other amenities here as will. but we don't meet the liability insurance requirements to rent a slip. The Shrimp Shack has allowed us to use their dock to access land and the food is amazing a must stop if you ever anchor nearby The convenience of this location most things are within walking distance such as gas stations grocery stores restaurants laundromat Galveston mailbox the Public Safety Office tax office and vehicle registration office are all within a 2 mile walk from this Anchorage. We have considered getting a motel room for one night so we could at least shower as the weather has been unseasonably cold to use our cockpit shower. We highly recommend if you meet the liability requirements to use Galveston RV and Marina they have made a ton of improvements and continuously working diligently to ensure their customers are satisfied and happy

Galveston RV Resort and Marina, a definite must stay! This has been one of the best experiences of my life! We were positioned near the water and the views are amazing! There are areas to swim, fish, and kayak. I cannot tell you what a fun and amazing time my family and I had! Rusty and Sandy the park managers were some of the kindest people we ever met and treated us like family and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay, I recommend this place to ANYONE who is looking for a fun and relaxing place with a beautiful view! I can’t wait for my next stay in Galveston at Galveston RV Resort and Marina!

We booked the cruise package and it worked out great, the price was very reasonable management was very friendly and as part of the package they gave us and 2 other guest a ride to the cruise terminal, when we returned we did some laundry, the machines were decent and the facility was clean.The only complaint we had is that we have a large rig and where we was assigned was really tight and back up next to a church that played their pa system extremely loud way too early on Sunday morning! and we spent 2 Sundays there but that's not the parks fault and out of their control, it was ok we made it work. We have no problems staying there again and do recommend them.

The ocean is very close and has a lot of beautiful shells you can pick, they also have a dock to fish from and sometimes offer free bait. There's a boat dock for who ever owns a boat. I would recommend this area for sunsets/sunrises.

Random trip from Colorado. Decided on Galveston, Tx, closest beach scene. Pulled up GRVR&M via Google and booked. No pre research or reviews read. So happy I didn’t as this was a great choice. We arrived much later than anticipated, parked on the wrong pad, and requested to stay an extra day…the morning of. All of this without a sour word, slighted face, or negative body language. We had a great concrete pad that fit our 5th wheel toy hauler with the back deck down, no problem. The restrooms were clean every time we happened into them. Very rarely do we look to use any amenities at any campground so I have no comment on anything else; showers, laundry, WiFi, camp store, or other. We loved the view we had and all other campers who came and went were friendly enough. We checked out the beaches, several restaurants, The Pier, and Moody Gardens. Loved them all. There ARE full/long timers located on one side of the park and their areas could use a bit of ‘tidying’ up but we never felt the surroundings were loud or rambunctious. It was very much the opposite, peaceful and quiet. A few kids and many pets around but never any excessive noise or barking. Another Galveston trip and we know exactly where to stay! Thank you. We enjoyed our R&R😁 Forgot to add-resort or not there are no fire rings or grills and we forgot to pack our Q grill for this last minute trip.

We are new to the RV life. Galveston was our first trip in an RV that we rented. We traveled from Norman, OK. Our reception was helpful, courteous and very professional. Everyone we encountered was warm and welcoming. Shout out to Jordan for patience and customer service. What a beautiful place with access to fishing and boating. It is very obvious these folks care about their place. Minutes from shopping, eating, and the Beach. We enjoyed golf carting around... This service is on the grounds...Ride and Sea Rentals. What a wonderful vacation.

This is a lovely little campground in Galveston with very nice views. The owners are great; really nice people. I was here for 10 days during the freak winter storm of Feb 2021 and, while the campground lost both power and water, neither were their fault and I felt the owners did everything that they could to make sure their campers were taken care of.

April 2021 Two nights Central location was on the water and near shopping and restaurants. We saw no water sport rentals, like kayaks or boats of any sort in the immediate vicinity, too bad. The previous occupant of our site was a heavy smoker who cared nothing of anyone else and littered butts all over. This did not seem to bother the management. Sites were stacked super close together - our neighbor's smoker/grill was right under our bedroom slider. Our awning hit the other neighbor's vehicle. There were a few cherry sites, but were assigned rather than available for choosing. Laundry facilities - 4 washers and 4 dryers in a clean area. Quiet. Fellow guests were friendly or were not bothersome at all. Pleasant, friendly, helpful staff.

Very relaxing. Loved walking the dogs along the water's edge. They have benches, fishing and crabbing, rental kayaks and bicycles, a marina. Very dog friendly. I rented an RV there for a few days and had a lovely getaway.

An older park but the new management team are constantly upgrading and improving. It’s very friendly here and Sandy always does here best for you and accommodates her guests in the best way she can. Been coming for about 2 years and will keep coming back. Lovely position on the north side of the island and really easy to get into the town or onto the Seawall.

Review Edit 06/2020: Updated review: New management has made major changes and upgrades to the park. They are friendly, and always nice. They keep the park clean, and the pull-thru spots are great. They rebuilt the docks and boat slips (they were in pretty bad shape and dangerous to walk on). Great place to go.

Nice but RV sites are VERY VERY close together! Staff was very nice at first, then it went SOUTH real quick!! We had family in the site next to us, and they were trying to unload their children and stuff, and parked a little over into the next space. Instead of that person saying "hey do you mind moving so I can get in", they ran to the Manager to complain! The "manager" came out and starting yelling at our son saying "how many times do I have to tell you to move this truck"? Our son said "this is the first time I have seen you and I'm just unloading my kids". The manager continued to YELL "if you can't follow the rules, I will kick you out"! WOW! I understand there are new owners? It looks like they are on the right path with updating this place, but may want to look into talking to staff on how to "talk and treat people" if you want people to return! We can't speak for the WIFI because we didn't use it, but I know one lady stopped and asked me about it. Other than the incident with "manager", it was a nice place to stay for a weekend. Thank you for your response! I'm not sure if your "manager is Jesse", but he is was the one that yelled.

Not too bad. Very friendly staff. Only complaint would be the size of the spaces... Barely enough space to put your slides & awning out, but that's about it. No fire pit or picnic tables like a campground would have, but if you just need a place to park your rig for a few days it is great.

The park owners were really friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us for our stay, the park was extremely clean and the site we had was just perfect, definitely will be coming back for a future event

The New Management is really nice. They will go the extra mile to serve you. I have spent a very nice summer here with my children. Very conveniently located to everything. Very centralized. They got the best rates in Galveston. They also have brand new fully equipped RV units for rent...they beat the hotel prices without kitchen on the beach....therefore saving you tons of money.

This was probably the BEST RV experience I have ever had. We checked in March 9, 2020, they gave us a perfect site for our rig. After a week into our stay, everything started to shut down for the Covid19 virus. We planned on staying until April 9th, however, since we are from Michigan, we felt it was safer for us to remain in Texas until the virus was better contained. Sandy and Rusty were wonderful in extending our stay for another month. They did a fabulous job in maintaining a clean, safe environment. The laundry room and showers were spotless. The ability to fish from the docks and look at the beautiful sailboats was a bonus as well. Close to grocery stores and a fresh fish market across the bay. We would highly recommend staying here for short or long stays.

Myself, Hubby, & our 4 kiddos rented one of their bay front RVs for 3 nights/4days and we really enjoyed ourselves. We caught about 20 fish all under 5lbs (catfish, trout, perch, and even a rare one that threw us and the locals for a loop). We enjoyed waking up to the beautiful sunrise over the water every morning. The locals are friendly and kind but i would say Mr Cat was personally my favorite "local." :) Swimming is possible with their own little "beach area" for the kiddos to dig and play in the water. The people in the office are overly accommodating. When i needed to take test for college (wifi is sketchy on the water anywhere) Ms Tiffany had no problem allowing me to sit in the office for a bit to have high speed access. We were so grateful we found this place and look forward to booking again SOON!!

Great place! Since we were there last year it's under new management. Spots are now paved, lots of space between rvs, pretty flowers and super friendly staff. The fishing is good and the water view is beautiful. We also enjoyed visiting with water residents Siggy and Chuck and Chucks cat, "Cat". We'll definitely stay here again and again. This has been a great getaway spot for our family! I almost hate to review it because I don’t want to giveaway our secret. Quiet campground, many spots facing the bay, great fishing, swimming, and nice folks around. Most of all, I feel like my family and campgear are safe here. It is now under new ownership and we can tell that they are starting to improve upon the property! Very excited to see what is to come!

Came to visit a local parish on the island and do some sightseeing. Originally planned on 3 nights, but stayed 4. Park is under fairly new ownership and the new staff is very friendly and attentive. Jesse stays on site. They are working on numerous things, but the grass is cut and the site are well maintained. Sites are gravel, but surprisingly level. As stated by others, the sites are a bit narrow, but not nearly as bad as other places along the coast. Checked out the bathroom. A bit dated, but clean and functioning. Did a load of laundry (one full hamper). Took a little over an hour, cost $3 total for wash and dry, and they were dry! Plenty of fast food and grocery stores close by. Lyft ride to the Strand is about $10. Minutes away from all the attractions. Rates based on the location and time of year are reasonable. I’ll definitely come back on future visits.

Fun place for vacation. People are very friendly and if you like fishing you can do it all day long. We coughed flounder, sheep head, black drum. Supermarket 5 min away, seawall is right there. We had a great time, didn't want to leave. We have our favorite spot, but I can't tell you 🤣😎. Definitely going back.

I have stayed here a few times. I usually stay a few months. Its nice and quiet and the staff is always helpful. The property could use a little upgrading. But I hear it's been sold to new owners they might make these changes. The view of Bay area is great.

Wife and I had decided to stay a week in Galveston wife called around and spoke to 4 or 5 rv parks. While I sat here listening to the rates and park info etc. From the various parks when wife called Galveston RV and marina. Wife spoke to sandy the park manager. I told my wife to book a week here. We did so because of how nice and very helpful and genuine Sandy was. She is the same in person. When our week was up we got everything loaded up and our jacks would not retract. We called and notified the office and a short time later a girl named Tiffany came by. And was extremly understanding and even gave us 3 names of a rv service to come assist us. Within 20 minutes we were assisted by a tech Tiffany had given us number to. We loved the area of the RV park it was close to everything. We will ALWAYS use this RV park when visiting Galveston. Great experience 👍

I would actually give this 3.5 stars if I could. The new owners are very friendly and we enjoyed our stay. This is an older RV Park and many of the sites were not designed to accommodate larger RVs with multiple slides, my site was one of those. The roads are a bit narrow and, since parking is limited, people park on both sides of the road. That makes it rather difficult to park a 40 foot travel trailer being towed by an 8 foot truck. Once I got the trailer parked and set up, everything was great. There are many sites, I assume they are newer, that are perfect for larger units. My suggestion to the owners is to identify what size RV people have and try to place them accordingly. I was there over the Mardi Gras weekend and this was the only site available so I am thankful for the spot. If you are booking with them, and have a large RV, check with them on the size of your site. All in all we had a great experience and would not have a problem staying there again, just hopefully in a somewhat larger site.

Great location! It's very close to historic Galveston, grocery stores, food, and the seawall! They are very clean buts a no frills place. The lots are grass which can get muddy during the rainy day but it was something we worked around! The internet is not the best but you do get some signal. Very peaceful and quiet! Its right on the bank so we went fishing everyday! The only issues we had was the mud internet, and our spot was right in front of the bank so it was hard to park. However, a kind family directed us! It's about 40 minutes from NASA and 35 from Kemah boardwalk! Also close to the highway so you don't have to travel far into town with your RV. We've gone back 2 years in a row and we are definitely planning to stay here again!

Love this place, we have been there every July 4th for the past 15 yrs. I never seem to do nothing but feed the fish, but my family has caught some good fish there. We wouldn't stay anywhere else

So far so good! We are in our second day of a long-term stay for my husband's job and the electric hookup didn't work when arrived. It was replaced and fixed within a half hour and we are happy. I took off a star for the wifi. It's terrible.

It has good great and bad. The desk last is awesome. Very helpful. The park is really nice. It's very scenic and the bayou behind is where the duck tours go. The Wi-Fi is good in spots, to be expected. Wi-Fi is free so it's ok. Friday about 11 the weekend crowd gets in and sets up their drinking spots. They are loud and disrectful. Shop lights and stereos. Drinks wandering around. Overallnits nice but Friday night's are party night's it seems

Great location with huge potential. The ownership and management just changed. I know they're going through a huge renovation and it's an ideal location right off of 61st Street. That's not to say that it isn't still a nice place, I just know in the coming weeks and months will become a better place.

Only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because we didn't use the showers or bathrooms so I can't rate them, but the location, the water view, and the residents that live there was all very nice. Will definitely go again.

I have been in this place more then 10 times I always liked it so relaxing and the staff was always nice to us they even recognized us right away when we call to make a reservations...... but the last 3 times we stayed in here we noticed that the sewer wasn't working and we couldn't empty our tanks it was really bad the smell.... we wore hooping for them to fix but it didn't happen... in the last 3 times we went in there .... please fixi it I want to come back that's the reason of my 3 stars ✨

This place is good if you just want a place to park your rv and sleep. That's how i use it during Galveston special events. It's not very up to date but serves is purpose.
