We enjoyed the renaissance fair today! There were many vendors, great demonstrations, and a decent selection of food booths. I've seen some other reviews complain about the cost of food, but I thought it was reasonable as compared to other fairs and festivals. Everyone we encountered seemed friendly and really into their characters! The dancers and birds of prey demos were very interesting to watch!

Great Renaissance Faire! Lots of great vendors! Haven't been in years but was well worth the drive. Did have problems with rude teenagers and an adult who came and stood so a disabled person sitting in his rollinator could not see the joust. Even when asked they wouldn't move.

Went for renn fair. Was a blast but I wish they would have it set up differently. Hard to make sure to go down every road to make sure you can see all the businesses. The ones I enjoyed the most were all the way off the the side . Great time great people and cool merchandise

Over all this place has some potential. The staff I engaged with was extremely nice. It was very once that they have everything you need there, including boots for a few extra dollars. Only half the area had snow on it. I was told it's because it has been to warm and they needed it to be below 27 degrees to make snow. I found this odd because it has been below that temp for several days prior to visiting. They still charge full price even though only half of the place is available. It seemed a little crowded because of the lack of snow, but lots of people. The slope was a little aggressive for young beginners and I seen a few people, including my son get hurt. If they had more snow and some beginner/learning slopes that would have been helpful. Would I go back? Sure, but not anytime soon, maybe if we are back in the area next year.

I would say five stars, except that it cost sixty-nine bucks just for me and my Daughter to get through the gate. That left me with very little cash for vendors. Neither the event nor most of the vendors take credit cards. If the park took credit cards (or charged a reasonable amount at the gate) I could have used my cash to buy souvenirs. I have several Friends who bend at Sleepy Hollow and they didn't make much (partially because of the turn-out, probably due to weather, but also because they charge exhorbitantly for vendor space, too). Otherwise, it was a five star experience. Suggestion: Let vendors vend outside of the gate in the space between the bridge and the entrance and/or in the parking lot just before the bridge, too & charge them like half the amount. That way patrons could shop on the way in and out...

The renaissance festival is a great experience, with a lot to offer for kids and adults. Food and drinks are delicious and only slightly pricey at $5 a drink and $9 for a Turkey leg. So much to see and do you can't fit it all into a single day! Order of Wrath live steel fighting was the best event, in my opinion. Where many of the other shows feel scripted, these warriors clash in a live, gladiator style arena that I felt was the most realistic and exciting show of the day! The joust was worth checking out as well, and interacting with the friendly characters throughout the festival really makes the experience unique.

Probably the best they could pull off considering the restrictions of the COVID-19 scare. Prepare for a long wait in your car, but otherwise, relatively fun – particularly for tweens/teens.

Came here for the Spring Fling both weekends. Obviously weekend one was very rainy, but I felt the park did what they could to keep the crowds dry and comfortable. Week two though... Hell yes. The vendors were great. The shows were great. I enjoyed the music better. My personal favorites included the new Scottish vs English joust that I thought was OUTSTANDING and edgy enough for the adults but playful enough for the kids, as well as the hypnotist and Highland Reigns. Please keep them or bring them back for future faires and RAD.

Loved snowboarding here growing up, absolutely loved Kosmic Kingdom! It gets better every year and I'm so grateful for a space like Sleepy Hollow on my home turf. Excited for the spooky Halloween events and Renaissance fairs to come. If you're looking for a sports park that has awesome activities year round this is the place to go 👌

I attended the renaissance faire. They were great with social distancing measures, requirement of masks, and liberal applying sanitizer solution to benches and tables all day long. Food was excellent and reasonably portioned for the price. Alcohol selection was vast, including wine and mead by the bottle. Vendors were all very friendly and had a lovely selection of wares. Will definitely attend in future years!

One of the few Renaissance Faires happening this year. We picked one of the hottest days (90±). There weren't as many acts there as last year, but still plenty to keep us entertained. Nice to see some acts that aren't everywhere else. Puppies of Penzance and Pizpor the Magician to name a few. Artisan are friendly and understanding.

We come every year, was uber excited to attend the first ever spring fling! please beware of the yellow jackets. highlight of the deposit I was given was a ride upstairs in the arms of a man named Sam if I remember correctly, my sadness was having to leave earlier than I wanted via ambulance. had a great time despite. bring a epipen if you're allergic, hydrate and have fun!! I think Sleepy Hollow is awesome, especially for Iowa (we really don't have too many places like this so it's very nice). In the winter, you can go snowboarding or tubing down their huge hill with a lift that takes you back up. They have go-cart racing, mini-golf, and many other fun family activities!! I'm excited to go back out there to experience anything new. They also have events for holidays and such. One event I will be attending every year is the Renaissance Faire! Always held in September, and it's very fun. They have an AMAZING Halloween event as well; the last time I attended was a few years back, but it had 3 main attractions and they were super scary and super fun!! In the winter they have the activities named above (might have new things now too!).

Cool place. Nice grounds. The primitive amping area was nicely placed under the trees. Was here for Tiny Fest Midwest. Only downside is the showers were quite a walk away, back near the entrance. Not bad though.

It's sad to watch a snowman melt... and messy. Even so there were a few hearty Iowans attempting to enjoy the remnants of winter at Sleepy Hollow in spite of the slush and mud. The workers I encountered were friendly. The chalet looks nice. Given another 12 inches of snow it might be worth the price.

A fun, fairly cheap place to visit at least once a year. Whether it is in the winter for snow sport activities or in the summer. The large hill is very fun. I toured the haunted house here way back in 2007 and had a great time as well.

It is such a fun place and I guarantee there is something to do for everyone in the family. The place is big and has wooded and flat areas perfect for the Renaissance Fair. Cons are the rain can make the ground muddy. Would not change anything.

I just held my husband's retirement party in one of their party rooms and I couldn't be happier with the service they provided. tThehe event planner helped me estimate the about if good I needed, helped locate wine and was there that night helping set up. The good was a hit, the bartender was very friendly to our guests and best of all my husband had a great time. If you are looking for a place to host a party, stress free, I highly recommend Sleepy Hollow!

Went to the Ren fair here. Smaller than the ones I've been to in Minnesota and Colorado but still a good time. The small size meant being able to spend the afternoon there and not have to walk 3 miles back to your car and sit in a traffic Jam.

Went tubing here with the family and had a blast. We were co certain at first I'd it would be good for a 4 year old girl and she loved it. Word of warning, bring a helmet if you are bringing a child. They will make them wear one.

We went here the other day, and was disappointed to find out they didn't have snowboarding, and skiing anymore after we did that a lot last year, but it was okay. We went sledding (our only choice), and the tubing was a bunch of fun! After doing that for a while we did the zipfys. Going down the black diamond hills, on those tiny things were scary, but super fun. Time flew by and we decided go get a snack. I ordered a hot chocolate and fries. The people at the desk were very nice. I got my hot chocolate and they said the fries would take about 5 mins. The hot chocolate did not taste the best and the fries took at about 10 mins and tasted decent. Overall, this place is pretty nice its just everything there is very old and outdated. Nice place though.

Great place for fun and adventure. Kids as well as adults will enjoy. Please note that they don't have skiing or snowboarding. Tubing, sledding, stigas are way more fun and safe.

Dmitry m doesn't know what he's talking about. This is a great place to have fun and all the staff have always been nice and accommodating to me and those who have came with me. We even messed up the good kart track once and they were cool with it. Just closed it for twenty minutes and fixed it. Sprockets would have kicked up out for life and tried to fine you for having "too much fun". The winter at sleepy hallow sports park also has brought me many life long memories.

I am currently sitting in my car waiting to go into the scream park with the gf. You get to wait until your ticket is called over the radio via local dj. Its our first time. The radio hosts r rather amusing. Decent amount of people here. We showed up around 7:20 today (Saturday) and we r hoping to go in by 9:10'ish. We shall see

Considering we are in Iowa, Des Moines exactly isnt known for a ski destination, but Sleepy Hollow makes it awesome for a great night and or weekend at the slopes for the family.

Was visiting relatives camping there for the Iowa State Fair. They were pleased with the accommodation had a shuttle that ran every half hour that dropped them off at the fair gate reasonable price for camping.

My friend and I participated in the Mud Run May 4 and had a blast! Everyone was super nice, and the staff was very helpful. The post-race party was a great time to chat with other runners and it was great that they had food and beverages for everyone! I can't wait for the H20 Run and Beer Run!!!
