Nice place to camp and/or hike. Good roads to most parts of it. Campgrounds open in May. Nice facilities such as numerous bathrooms and picnic tables. Pretty scenery and wildlife. Beware of mountain lions.

The park is very nice. Enjoyed a quiet ride up the mountain. The public picnic areas were cleaned and well maintained. A very nice enjoyable place. $3 vehicle fee for day use of picnic areas.

Fantastic site, beautiful surroundings. Hearing the coyotes and bugs all night was glorious. Spending time with friends and family and having a great time together made it well worth the weekend. The staff we met were amazing and friendly. Thanks, Sandia Ranger District!

Looks like a lovely place for large gatherings. You need to make reservations and they keep the gates locked, but it's a large area with paths and a huge shelter. I hung out in the shade outside and enjoyed the breeze on a warm day.

It has lots of parking, a fantastic shelter, and a safe area to have a bonfire.

Great camp ground for a group. Our church does an annual camp out and it accommodates us all very well. The pavilions and fire pits are great center spots where people can gather. There is enough space that everyone can set up their tents far apart and have privacy.

Belonging to a crew of forest monitors, we travel around New Mexico and have camped in many places ranging from domestic running water in restrooms, to peeing in the bush. We camped in the campsite labelled "Robin," a property meant for housing around 45 people. While not having a water table pump, there were many tables under a gazebo to protect from rain/sun, five charcoal grills, and separate restrooms for men and women. Also, a giant firepit furnished with chairs on a concrete slab was displayed. The area is very green and flat. One caveat is a small amount of traffic which passes through the area, since there are houses nearby. There are plenty of hiking trails and mountain biking trails around the area, as we saw many people with bikes. Seems popular.

High desert outside of Aluquerque. Plenty of room to run and play and host a big party. Covered picnic tables. Restrooms. Plenty of parking, including handicap accessible ramps. Part of our group camped there up to three nights.

This was awesome and my family and I had a wonderful time. There was good cell reception we were close to a cell tower.
